Hi guys! Sorry! Originally I was going to post this a couple days ago, but I had a major project. I just presented today and I think I did great on! Not the point though! Here's your next chapter!
Part 59
Alex’s POV
Great! The deadlines are the same. It looks like I’m really going to die.
“We’ll fix this, there has to be a faster way to get there.” Mom said, hurriedly.
“Let’s go contact the healers. We’ll see if there’s a faster way to get to them.” Dad devised a plan.
They both went into complete silence, I don’t know what was happening but I’m pretty sure they were trying to contact the healers telepathically.
Alec finally let go of my waist, and stood by my side. I leaned into him, wrapping my arms around his waist. He responded by wrapping his arms around my waist.
::I don’t want to leave, Alec:: I thought to him
::I know Alex, but we’ll come back. I promise::
We both knew he had made a promise he couldn’t keep, yet I was happy to have that as an anchor. For the second time in two days, I let myself hope that everything would be ok.
We just waited till mom and dad were done.
“Ok, we’ve found a way for us to be there way earlier, but there’s a catch.” Dad announced.
“What’s the catch?” I asked, knowing it had something to do with me.
“You’ve got to teleport us there.” Mom stated, bluntly.
Ok, so I knew it had something to do with me, but I didn’t think I had that big of a role.
“As Lifest, you can teleport, right?” Dad asked.
“Yeah, but I’ve only just started training. I only started teleported yesterday.” I told them.
“How did you do it?” Mom asked, curious.
“I just thought of the place I needed to get to, and closed my eyes, the next thing I knew, I was there.” I explained.
“Did you teleport with anyone, yet?” They continued to question.
“Alec was with me at the time, holding my hand. He ended up coming with me too.” I continued to answer.
“Good, you’re more trained than we thought you would be.” Mom stated.
“Yeah, well no thanks to you.” I snapped.
They sighed, sadly. I was still too angry to feel bad.
“Do you think you could try doing it with more people this time?” Dad questioned, avoiding my remark.
“Yeah, but I need to know where we’re going. I can’t just teleport anywhere; I have to have the image in my head.” I answered.
“We’ll provide the image, but do you think you could do it?” Mom asked.
“Yeah, I could do it.” I answered, immediately.
“Good, give it a try.”
I linked my hand with Alec, how in turn, took my mom’s hand, and she took dads. I was hungry, so I thought of the kitchen, I closed my eyes, and then opened them, and we were instantly in the kitchen.
“See? I did it.” I said, quite smugly.
Before anyone said anything, I quickly transported us back to the meeting room. They were dizzy when we got back.
“Warn us when you do that.” Alec said, as he swayed.
I only smiled again, feeling pretty good about myself.
“What else can you do?” Dad asked, curiously.
“A lot of things, I just haven’t been able to figure out what. I know I have super speed, the elements, so far. I haven’t been able to test my abilities yet.” I told them, honestly.
“Didn’t Jack say you could anything, and everything?” Alec asked.
“Yeah he did but I haven’t been able to find out exactly what anything and everything is.” I told him.
“Well, how will you figure it out?”
“I’ll just test it out, as I go, I guess.”
“Well, are we done here?” I asked.
“Yes, meet us at 2am sharp, tomorrow, please.” Mom said.
I just left, without another word; Alec didn’t follow, but stayed. I went up to my room, to change; I picked a cute boyfriend shirt, and some jeans. After I finished dressing, I went to go get breakfast.
In the kitchen, Emily was making breakfast, all alone.
“Good morning, Emily.” I said, startling her.
“Oh, sorry, I hadn’t meant to surprise you.” I told her.
“Oh, no, sweetie, it’s ok. I just wasn’t paying attention.” She replied.
“Is something wrong?” I asked her.
“I’m just worried for Alec.” She said, softly.
“What’s wrong with Alec?” I asked suddenly very alert.
“If you leave, he’ll go back to being the empty son I had before.” She replied.
“What? I don’t understand Emily.” I told her.
“Alec wasn’t always like he is now. Before he met you, he was a lot colder. He didn’t care as much as he should have. He was more introverted, he kept to himself most of the time, he didn’t care about many people, just him and his friends and family, which was the whole pack basically.” Emily explained.
I had no idea Alec was like that. I figured he had changed me, but I hadn’t even considered that I might have changed him too, and it looks like I’ve done a good job of it too.
“You showed him a lot, Alex. You’ve taught him to love, to care, and much more. I’m just afraid that he’ll change back into the old Alec when you…you…” Emily stuttered at the last part.
I hugged Emily tightly. She wasn’t just worried about Alec; she was also going to miss me. She was more of a mom than Stephanie or my mom could ever hope to be. Emily started crying. I was so sad, that I almost cried, but held it together for Emily’s sake.
“Emily, it’ll be alright. I’ll come back, with your son. Everything will be ok, I promise.” I soothed her.
I knew I was lying, and I’m pretty sure Emily knew I was lying too, but she didn’t point it out. I pulled away, only to see Emily had stopped crying. She was pretty strong and probably only cried because it was overwhelming her.
“Would you like help making breakfast?” I asked.
“Sure, that would be great.” She replied.

Alec’s POV
I knew Alex didn’t feel very like the idea of leaving, so I suggested I come with her, now I wish I hadn’t.
Her mom and dad were planning to bond with her as she came along with them on the trip. I knew Alex would have soon figured out what was happening, and leave, in anger, but it was still worth trying. Alex was very angry, very, very, angry. She wouldn’t forgive them for leaving her, this was her stubborn side.
I still didn’t know the whole story apparently, because Alex never told me she was mad at her parents, I mean I knew she was upset at them for leaving her, but I never saw her angry when they were mentioned, I only felt sadness wave off of her. What could have caused the anger now?
“Mr. and Mrs. Caster, why is Alex so angry?” I asked, figuring they might know.
“Son, you don’t need to talk to us so formally. You may call us Jason and Jessie Caster.
“Oh, ok.” I answered, sort of uncomfortably.
I could control the 4 elements and keep my Lifest mate together, but when it came to her parents I was uncomfortable talking to them! Isn’t that just weird?!
I felt as if someone was trying to get a laugh out of this. I quickly shook it off, and paid attention to what they were trying to say.
“She’s just upset with us for leaving her. She has every right to be too. We did leave her without telling her anything. She’s been neglected and doesn’t even know who she is. Sometimes I think we should have just kept them with us. It would have helped them a lot.” Jessie said.
She meant Andrew, Suzy, and Alex, when she said them.
“I don’t know about what you should have done, but I do know that I’m glad for what you did, because I would have never met Alex if you hadn’t and we all know how long it would have taken me to my mate on my own.” I told them.
Jason and Jessie’s face softened.
“Thank you, Alec. Even though your true mate attraction would have kicked in sooner or later, it makes us feel better.” Jason answered.
“Well, I got to know Alex more than I would have later. I’m glad that you did what you did; it makes it easier on me. I would have had to leave my pack to find her, so it makes it easier on me and Alex. I’ve gotten to know her, and I know that she will forgive you soon enough. She loves you, even though it didn’t look like.” I reassured them.
“Alec, I know that you will make a great alpha and a great mate for our daughter now. I was a little wary before because of the things said about you, but it seems she’s changed you.” Jessie informed.
“That’s the past me, Alex truly has changed me, for the better. I truly love her and my pack and I will do everything in my power to keep both. I won’t lose, especially against Alpha Williams.” I answered, strongly.
Jason and Jessie nodded in approval, and started making arrangements for the trip.
I left and went to go tell everyone. I only told them that I would be leaving along with Alex and her parents for a little bit. They didn’t know about the poison and wouldn’t find out, and I would like to keep it that way.
I headed to my room, after giving Jason and Jessie their rooms. I entered my dorm, whistling, when I heard mom in the kitchen.
I came up behind her, and put my hands on her shoulders, looming over her.
“BOO!” I yelled, trying to scare her.
“Hello Alec.” She replied, without turning around.
“Aw, why mom?!” I whined.
She only laughed, turning around. She placed her hands on my cheeks, smiling.
“I’ve known you 9 months before you were born Alec. That should be answer enough.” She replied.
“Ew, too much info!” I yelled, covering my ears childishly.
She laughed, loudly, I might add.
She changed emotions from happy to sad.
I took her hands and asked her.
“Mom, what’s wrong?” I asked, worried.
“Ah, you’ve changed so much in such a little time.” She replied sadly.
“I hope you mean that in a good way.” Was my only answer.
“Yes, of course son. Alex has done nothing but good, to you, our pack, everyone. In such little time she’s changed everyone for the better, without even noticing it herself.” Mom praised.
“Yeah, she is awesome.” I said, dreamily.
“Speaking of Alex, where is she?” I asked, suddenly wanting my mate.
“She was just helping me with breakfast actually. She went to her room to get changed and said she would be right back. Have a seat, call your family and let’s eat.” Mom said.
I sent a thought to my family and mate that breakfast was ready. In a couple of minutes, everyone was at the dinner table, expect Alex. I wonder what’s taking her so long.
“I’m going to go see what’s taking her so long. I’m hungry.” I told them, getting up.
I went to her room, and knocked.
“Alec!” She opened the door, distressed.
“What?!” I asked, worried.
“I can’t find my clothes! I don’t know where I put my duffle bag!” She said still distressed.
“That’s because you were sleeping in my room, so I took your duffle bag this morning and put it in my room before you woke up so you could change if you wanted to. I forgot to tell you, but I figured you saw it when you woke up, because it was right in front of you.” I told her.
“I was focused on finding you, not my clothes!” She defended herself.
I chuckled softly as she stomped to my room, where her duffle bag was. I’m surprised she hadn’t put her clothes in her closet. Was there something that was keeping her from unpacking?
“Alex, why haven’t you unpacked your stuff? I thought you were going to live with us, now.” I asked and told her.
She froze in the action of picking up her duffle bag. She left it, and looked down, avoiding my gaze on purpose. I walked up to her, and held her face up to look at me.
“Seriously, Alex, tell me if something’s wrong.” I told her, sternly.
“I just didn’t want to unpack. There’s no reason why not.” She told me.
“That’s a lie. You have a reason for everything.” I told her.
“It…it just doesn’t…feel like…home…sorry.” She hesitated.
It doesn’t feel like home. Why? What had I done wrong? Why didn’t she think of this as her home?
“Why? Have I not made it seem like home?” I asked hurt dripping through my voice.
She looked up, shocked. I saw regret in her eyes. If she was going to act like that when I show a bit of hurt, I was better off not showing her what I really feel.
“No! I mean…that’s not what I meant.” She yelled then muttered.
“What did you mean, Alex? You know you can tell me anything.” I told her.
“I was just…I just…I…” She struggled out.
“You what?” I asked, not really getting her.
“I envisioned home as somewhere with just you and me. No one else, well, maybe our kids, but…yea.” She got out.
I froze. She wanted just the two of us, with a couple kids. I had dreamed of that for a long time, but I knew it would never happen.
“Alex, believe me when I say I also thought we could run away. From everyone, everything, without a care in the world, but that’s not possible.” I told her, logically.
Her face fell, in defeat.
“Of course, I knew it was silly to think like that. I mean why would anyone want to go anywhere with me. Your right, Alec, we should just stay here.” She said, sadly.
She picked up her duffle bag, about to leave.
“Alex, you know that’s not what I meant. We’re Alpha and Female Alpha; we’ve got the pack to think about. We can’t just leave everyone, there are duties we’d leave behind, and that no one else could take up.” I told her.
She still looked sad, as if she didn’t believe me. I knew I had to do something about it, because I truly did want to run away with her.
“You know if we didn’t have duties like that, I would run away with you in a heartbeat, and possibly have kids with you in the future.” I told her, truthfully.
“Do-do you really mean that?” she asked in disbelief.
“Of course I mean that! You don’t know how badly I want it to be just you and me, maybe some kids too.” I told her, honestly.
I pulled her closer, so that she was laying her head on my chest. She breathed into my shirt, relaxing herself.
“You don’t know how much I wish we could just up and leave, but we’ve got duties. To both our pack and our family.” I told her.
She whined and buried her face into my chest. She looked like she really needed to get away from here. I suddenly got an idea.
“Alex, I’ll make you a promise.” I made a deal.
She perked up a bit, pulling away from my chest to look up at me.
“I had something to give to you the night you were kidnapped.” I started off.
“Oh yeah, I remember!” She said out loud, even though I knew that’s what she was thinking.
“Tell you what. After all this is over, I’ll take you someplace else. Completely secluded from the city, all alone, and I’ll give it to you.” I whispered in her ear, blowing in it a little.
She shuddered, with anticipation.
“That sounds…nice.” She breathed.
I smirked, at the affect I had on her. I knew exactly where we could go, and I knew exactly what my gift was. Finally, I could give it to her.
“I love you.” I told her.
Her heart skipped a beat, and I realized how long it had been since I had told her that. Suddenly, I felt sad for not treating her more like I should have. I vowed to tell her that more often, and with more love.
Our stomachs growled in unison, telling us they were hungry. We laughed at that and went to go get some breakfast.
***********************
After breakfast, Alec and I played around for a while. Tomorrow, we were embarking on a journey that would decide my fate, and the fate of the world. It wasn’t something we wanted to think about, so we just stopped, and decided to get our mind off of it. I decided to just forget about everything and act like a normal teenager for a day. Alec and I were planning to go to the mall, but Suzy and Sam asked to tag along, so after we talked to their parents, they came with us.
I was secretly glad that it wasn’t just me and Alec; I knew we would have to talk about my parents. He was upset with the way I talked to them, and wanted to know why I hadn’t told him I was mad at them. To be honest, I wasn’t in the beginning. When I found out that Stephanie and John weren’t my real parents. I just felt alone, sad and confused, then I was just alone and confused, the sadness had disappeared because being sad wouldn’t help me at all. The confusion slowly started disappearing, because I was learning more. Yet the loneliness never faded, no matter what. I got more friends, family, everything, yet I still felt lonely. The phrase, you don’t have to be alone to feel alone, comes into play here.
I realized that I felt alone because of my parents, they had isolated me, to make me seem normal, so now, that I was thrust into the supernatural, my world, I didn’t know a thing. It was their entire fault; they were the ones that caused all of this. If I hadn’t been raised away from that world, I would know more about it. If they had just let me live with them, then I would have been more accustomed to these kinds of things. I would know what everyone was talking about and what to do in certain situations without needing someone to explain simple things to me.
I just couldn’t understand. Why couldn’t they just keep us all? Why did they separate us? Did they really not want us? They could have taught me so much. Like how to use my powers, or how to control them, along with my feelings. Andrew, apparently already knows how, and Suzy just got her powers, so she’s got her parents, Andrew and me to back her up. I had and still have no one. Alec already seems to be in control and I’m still only learning.
I tried to shake off these thoughts as we pulled into the parking lot of the mall. This should be fun, I thought kind of sarcastically.

Tomorrow is my last day of school so I'll be able to post more, but then I have summer school too so maybe not. We'll see.
