Melanie woke up with a jerk and she looked round her room then at the clock by her bedside "Shit!" she quickly got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. Ten minutes later she was out and she started looking for her uniform
"Mummy!!"
"Yes sweetie, what is it?"
"Have you seen my school skirt"
"It's in the drawer with your socks"
"Thanks". Melanie quickly dressed and headed down stairs.
"Morning mummy, morning daddy"
"Morning dear" she put her books in her bag and kissed her parents on their cheeks "I'm late see you after school “she left the house and headed for the bus stop. After getting on the bus she called her best friend Camilla Wayld "Hey Wayld watsup...no I’m on the bus will soon be in school....yeah this year’s gonna be mad....last year before a-levels its gonna be worth it.....see you in class then" she hung up the phone and waited for the bus to get to school
At school she headed to form room and went to sit beside Camilla "Hey babes"
"Hey...see that guy over there that’s the new foreign exchange student Henrie Bn Khalifah, Dads a French ambassador, I bet you can’t go talk to him" she sighed and said "Camilla you underestimate my abilities” she stood up and went to where Henrie was sitting with Dean Russo "Hey Dean....Hey, Henrie right I'm Melanie Duke, Welcome to Saint John's"
"Thanks' surprisingly he didn’t have an accent, she walked back to her seat "See, told you I could do it" "Okay fine...you win". Just then Justin Grey and his best friend Sean Craven walked into the class

"Hey Mel" she turned back to Camilla
"Well I wonder where Nahla could be she never misses the first day of school and she's never late" as she finished her sentence Nahla Lee walked into the class

"Oh my God Melanie. I missed you like crazy" she said hugging Melanie before hugging Camilla "So what have I missed" she suddenly caught a glimpse of Henrie "Who is that hot looking blonde guy"
"His name is Henrie Bn Khalifah, he’s the new foreign exchange student....moved here from France"

"Well I think Jean Grey has already beat you to it, it’s a matter of showing him my cleavage and he falls" they all laughed as the teacher came into the class for the lesson to begin.
After class Camilla and Melanie were heading to the Cafeteria when they bumped into Justin and Sean "Hey Melanie can I have a second"

"Well I needed a favour"

"Well I was wondering if you could hook me up with one of your friends" she laughed "Your joking right"
"Come on don’t laugh I’m serious"

"Ok I’ll get back to you later then" she left and went back to Camilla.

"You're on" they headed to the cafeteria.
In the cafeteria they were sitting at a table when Nahla came in "That Henrie boy is so sexy, you should’ve seen the French flowing out of his mouth I could almost melt right there I have to get him" "All right Nahla good luck"
After school that day Melanie took a nap, and then in the evening she had dinner with her parents. "Mummy I’m going down the street to buy some things okay, I won’t be long" her mum nodded and Melanie wore her sweater and headed out. At the store she bumped into Sean and Justin
"Hey Justin"
"Hey Mel, this is my friend Sean"
"Oh hi"
"Well?"
"Well she’s gonna come talk to you tomorrow"
"Thanks Mel you’re a life saver" as she was leaving Justin turned to Sean "You think she's hot right"
"She's aite"
"Good I’m gonna hook you up with her"
"Don’t go there Justin, she’s not my type"

"Whatever", and they both headed home.
The next day at school as Melanie walked into class she saw Justin sitting at her seat with Camilla "Oh hi babes just helping Justin with his homework" she said and winked she sighed and went over to sit with Sean, it was kind of awkward because they didn’t really flow so she didn’t say anything to him at first, but as the class went on the silence became unbearable so she said
"So Sean how long have you been in Saint John's"
"Really Melanie I’ve been in the same class with you"
"Oh my bad, not my fault you know I don’t really get into people’s ish" they continued talking until Jean Grey walked into the class with her two friends Samantha and Crystal
"Justin!!"
"What?"
"Do you know how long I’ve been looking for you, it took me time and time is something I don’t have her and here you are talking to this thing, honestly she’s not in your class" and Melanie snapped
"Hey bitch you don’t have the right to call my best friend you can carry your slag body and go parade it somewhere else" Jean was furious "Justin get your friend out of my face" he looked at her and said "Fuck off Jean" people started cheering in class "Can’t believe you’re twins mate" Sean said and that was when Melanie noticed that Camilla was gone she turned to go then Sean said
"Where you going"
"I have to find Camilla"
"Okay come back soon" she left and headed to the toilets as she walked in she met Camilla wiping her eyes "Don’t tell me you’ve been crying" she looked at her and hugged her "Come on babe. you shouldn’t let it get to you, you’re Camilla Wayld and you don’t take shit from anybody okay " she nodded "Come on lets go" as they were leaving the bathroom Justin was waiting outside "Hey Camilla I’m so sorry about Jean and I want to make it up to you, I was wondering if you wanted to go see a movie later" she nodded "I'd like that" "Okay I'll pick you up at 7" Melanie left them together and was walking down the hall when she bumped into Sean "You didn’t come back" he said it as an accusation "Sorry I had to calm Camilla down" "Oh, let me walk you to the bus stop then...There’s a party at Deans you coming” she nodded and they walked off.
At Deans people were having drinks and messing around when Melanie saw Sean they spoke for a while and then they danced, all in all she had fun and she was leaving when Jean Grey walked up to her “Melanie right I don’t appreciate you strutting your stuff around my man, I don’t like it” she scoffed “Could you please leave me alone” and she walked away.
That night Camilla came over for a sleepover she told Melanie about the cinema
"He asked me out, but I haven’t said anything to him"
"Why! Say yes”
"Okay let me call him" she dialled Justin’s number and she put it on speaker "Hello Justin"
"Hey Camilla whats up"
"My answers yes I’ll be your girlfriend" he was ecstatic when he dropped the phone “So that’s that”
