I remember him a lonely male,
His story, a heart wrenching tale,
Of two lovers who set out to sail,
But he didn't realize that promises are subject to sale.
They exchanged promises in the spring time bliss,
Summer brought peace with loads of loving kiss,
Rains set fire to their passion till neck deep in oceanic abyss,
Autumn set in and something is amiss,
And by the end of winter those promises wane, they dismiss.
Promises made at the start of life,
Are made without understanding the amount of strife,
They make promises way too rife,
And end up tearing themselves apart with words sharper than knife.
And they are torn souls at the wintry end,
Spring creates a void and to memories they tend,
They buckle up in summer to create a new trend,
Rains bring back those old memories and to nostalgia they attend,
Finally with the coming of fall, they decide their heart's they would once more lend.
Promises hold power way to great,
Promises are not meant to be broken as said off late,
Promises are not meant to be vague as those presented on a date,
Promises are meant to stay forever whatever maybe the Fate.
For autumn should bring promises true,
Winter should test their validation and see it through,
While spring should bring relief to the chosen few,
And summer should make their journey anew,
Rains should make their promises fresh again like the first drop of dew.
