wearing dark
mystery material
swinging bells
chanting
going
through
beaded
curtains
played orthodox church

sewing machines
came but not for mass
the morning light was
for making dresses

adults kept the
sewing machines
company with
homemade wine
Nadia hummed
Olga sang
on Luba's porch
