I was thinking
there are too many
prisons today. how
did it all happen?
then I remembered
my first garden. it
started off well. I had
read about what
plants protect what
vegetables, and I
planted them.
how beautiful it looked!
the seedlings so small.
the protectors so strong.
but the protectors
grew fast, taking the sun
and water, towering over the
seedlings. before I knew
it, the protectors turned. they
had become guards.
