Chapter Twenty Three.

Alena felt warm as she reached the point between consciousness and unconsciousness. She had expected to be shivering when she woke up as the heating normally turned off in the middle of the night leaving her room cold even with the duvet around her but she was warm, warmer than she had ever been when she woke in the winter morning. She snuggled further into the warmth as she felt rise and fall below her whilst something heavy tightened around her waist leaving her in a state of frozen confusion.

She slowly opened her eyes to see that she was facing the wall of her bedroom only she was further up than she normally was when she woke up. A small frown made its way on to her face as she pushed herself backwards a little only to freeze when the grip on her waist tighten again holding her in place. She saw a tanned chest bellow her that she had been resting her head on moment ago before the stubble covered chin of Samuel. His face was so relaxed and innocent that she couldn't bring herself to wake him by squirming around.

She now remembered that after he had cleaned her wounds and dressed them he had told her he loved her. She flushed at the memory at how she had crashed her lips to his without a second thought; he had been surprised but kissed her back. She had gotten the time to tell him how she felt, that she loved him too and that she was happy that he was there with her as he always seemed to be.

She hadn't be able to tell him though as her mum had fluttered into the room interrupting their heated kiss with a squeal. She should have known that he mum would have been listening in but she hadn't as she was too caught up in Samuel's chocolate coloured eyes to notice. Her mum invited Samuel as well as Daniel and Dean to stay for dinner and then allowed Samuel to stay the night. She flushed again as she remembered how he had said that he'd sleep on the sofa only for her mum to force him into her room, saying that they were both responsible adults and that she trust them both not to do anything silly, such as hanky-panky. She had never been so embarrassed then she had at that moment and she was more surprised that her dad had allowed it without saying a word only glaring at Samuel whilst giving him a silent warning.

She reached up and gently ran her finger tips over his jawline, feeling his unshaved stubble brush against her finger tips before working her way to his cheek bones where she traces the smooth skin under his eyes before running her had through his hair, it always amazed her at how soft his hair was and she loved how easily it slipped through her fingers.

"Are you going to continue to harass me while I sleep?" Samuels sleep coated voice had her hand freezing in his hair and shiver running up her spin as she looked up to see him starring at her, she flushed a light pink whilst pushing against hi bare chest trying to get off of him only for him to tightened his arms around her waist, holding her in place.

"I didn't mean to wake you." She muttered, very aware that she hadn't brushed her teeth and so she probably had the worst case of morning breathe.

"I didn't say stop." He chuckled as he leant down and nuzzled his face in the crock of her neck.

"How did you sleep?" She asked as she began to squirm in his hold, she needed the toilet and she really wanted to brush her teeth before she continued to talk with Samuel.

"Good, great actually and even better waking up to you in this compromising position." He removed his face from the crock of her neck to flash her a mischievous grin. She then took the time to notice their compromising position she was laying on top of his chest while their legs were tangled together, she could feel there bare legs brushing together sending tingles right through her as she blushed and squirmed in his hold again.

"I love your blush." He murmured causing her to blush harder as he ran the pad of his thumb along her cheek.

"I need to pee." She muttered when he didn't let her go.

"Do you?" Samuel asked as she looked up at his face to see that he was smirking at her while she tried to escape his hold. She didn't know why he wouldn't let her go because she was seconds away from wetting herself which meant she would wet herself all over herself and Samuel.

"Samuel," she whined as she looked up at him again, widening her bright blue eyes at him while jutting out her bottom lip. She watched in silent satisfaction as his expression soften as his eyes glazed over with an emotion she had seen many times before but now she knew what it was, love. She felt flustered under the intensity while she fought a blush.

She was still having a hard time believing everything. She could believe that Samuel was a werewolf; it explained his muscular figure and the powerful aura that he emanated that demanded respect. It also explained his possessive behaviour when they were around others and his growling. She just couldn't believe that she of all people was his mate. Samuel was attractive, the most attractive male she had ever seen in her entire life and he was all hers. She knew that she wasn't the prettiest girl out there and she felt rather plan whenever she was with Samuel but for some reason her loved her, magic fingers and all. Any other guy would have run as soon as she told him about her being a witch let alone the prophecy yet Samuel was still here, keeping her safe and warm.

"Fine, I'll go use your spare bathroom." Samuel sighed as he gave in and released her waist.

"Do you need to borrow some clothes? I'm sure that my dad has some clothes that could fit you." She asked as she stood from the bed very conscious of the fact that she was only wearing a pair of short-shorts and the top that she had been given when she and Samuel got soaking wet in the rain.

"Alena," he laughed as he stood from the bed in only a pair of boxers, she blushed widely while she looked around, anywhere but Samuel who she knew was grinning, "I have clothes, a pack member dropped some off for me last night. I'll meet you here after."

"See you soon."

She all but ran into the bathroom, shutting and locking the door behind her before hurrying to use the loo and brushed her teeth, twice to make sure that her morning breathe had gone. Once she was finished she hurried into the shower, with difficulty as she didn't want to get her bandagers wet but she guessed that they needed to be redressed anyway. She rinsed the shampoo and conditioner out of her hair, ignoring the sting of her cuts as she did so. She turned the shower off and wrapped a towel around her naked body.

She towel dried her hair as best she could leaving it in a frizzy mess as she walked to her the bathroom door and poked her head out, she was both relieved as disappointed to see that Samuel hadn't finished his shower yet but she guessed that they both needed to get clean and dressed. She quickly walked to her closet where she dried herself and got dressed in a simple pair of skinny jeans and a jumper.

She was a little bit nervous as she began to fold clothes and place them on her bed. She also found out last night that it had been arranged between her parents, the oracles and Samuel's parents that it would be best if they all moved into the pack house for the remainder of the time that they were waiting. She had tried to say no saying that they would be fine where they were but everyone had disagreed and said it was for the best. She didn't want to impose on them as she was already asking so much of them all.

The door to her room opened and she looked over at Samuel who was running a hand through his damp hair. He looked so good in his jeans and a sweater and her hormones went crazy at the sight of him. She didn't know what it was but ever since that day that they had both accepted each other her hormones had been going crazy and her one innocent thoughts began to turn crude.

"You look beautiful," his voice was deeper than it usually was as they locked eye as he made his way into her room.

"Thank you," she couldn't fight of the inevitable blush that made its way onto her cheeks. She didn't look beautiful, the jeans she wore were skinny and hugged her legs but that didn't make her beautiful and the pale pink jumper made her hair seemed blacker than usual as it feel in waves down her back, she only wore a little mascara, "you look good."

"Do you need help packing?" He asked as he sat himself down on her bed, his hands resting behind his head as he leant against the head board.

"What clothes will I need?" She asked as she tore of the bandages from one of her hands before tearing the other one off, the material was wet and it was doing was getting her clothes weight and hurting more. She looked at her palms so see red angry scratches decorating her delicate skin, others looked deeper than the rest and she knew that they had been the one to cause her the most pain.

"I'll bandage you up and then I'll pack for you." He said as he got off of the bed and headed towards her bathroom where she kept a first aid kit under the bed how he knew she didn't know but he came out of the bathroom with the green box in his hands.

"Sit." He ordered and she did as she was told, sitting on the end of the bed while holding her palms up to him.

"You never answered my question." She said as he cleaned the cuts with an antiseptic wipe causing hisses to escape her mouth every now and then.

"Hmm?" He hummed as he began to wrap the bandage material around her left hand.

"What clothes will I need?" She asked.

She had already filled the suitcase she was taking with her underwear and socks as well as adding her hairdryer and straighteners as well as her phone charger, she probably wouldn't use either but it was always better to be safe than sorry. She'd also added a few pairs of jeans but that was it.

"You'll probably need casual and warm clothes with a dress or two." He added casual while she raised her eyebrow at the mention of dresses.

"Why?" She asked suspiciously. She couldn't see any reason for why she would need a dress or two is she was only going to be held prisoner in the back house until it was all over.

"You never know what could come up." He shrugged and she knew that he wasn't going to give her any more information.

She grabbed her phone from the bedside table and looked to see if Lucy had contacted her at all. She hadn't. She felt her heart sink at her best friend ignoring her, whenever Lucy was sick she still made the effort to talk to her and now that she wasn't going to be returning to school for the next week due to family issues, she probably wouldn't see her best friend again and she wasn't allowed to leave the house, or so she'd been told.

There was so much that she had to say to Lucy, so much that she had to thank her for and possibly say goodbye. She didn't know what was going to happen over the next week but she knew that it wasn't going to be easy; it was all a waiting game now. They had to wait for the time to come where she would make her decision and the time when Tabitha and her clan would attack.

"What's wrong?" Samuel asked softly as he held both of her now bandaged hands in his as he knelt down in front of her.

"Lucy's won't return my text or calls." She sighed unhappily. She didn't want to sound like one of those girls that constantly whine about their best friend and how annoying they or that there ignoring them but she needed someone to talk to about it and Samuel was asking and she did trust him.

"I'm sure she's just having a bad time and I guess she knows about you situation?" She nodded. "Then she's probably just having a hard time dealing with it, you are her best friend and she doesn't know what it going to happen to you. She'll come round and when she does she can come over." He spoke softly as he raised both of their hands so that he could kiss her palms.

"Thank you." She smiled softly at him, really meaning it.

"No problem sweetheart," he leant forward so that he could kiss her forehead. "Now, let's finish packing."

"I can pack." She started to get up from the bed only to have him push he back down gently.

"I'll pack for you." He grinned.

She didn't get a chance to answer as he had already darted off into her closet. She sighed with a small smiling on her face as she pushed herself further up her bed so that her back was already resting against the head boars. Her parents had left early morning so that they could get there and have everything sorted and had time to settle in. She had said that her and Samuel probably needed some sleep and so they could make their own was there at their own pace.

"Why do you never wear these dresses?" He asked curiously. He had already packed everything into her bag such a sleep wear, tops and jumpers even her coat and winter wear, he'd also put in a cardigan or two and some tights. With how big her suitcase looked anyone would have thought that she was staying for more than a week and possibly moving in. He had asked if he could choose a few dresses for her to take and she had nodded, interested in what he would chose and whether or not she would like it.

"It's too cold and I don't want to wear a dress to school it's too fancy." She shrugged as she looked to see him leaving her closet with three dressed over his arm.

"I guess that understandable. I choose these ones, I hope you don't mind." He asked her shyly as he rubbed the back of his neck. She had noticed that it was a nervous habit of his.

"They're prefect." She smiled. She meant it. He had chosen her three favourite dresses that she owned.

"You're all packed so we should probably get going." He said as he zipped up her suitcase and held it in his hand while he held it other for her to take.

"I'm going to miss my bed." She pouted a little as she took his hand and allowed him to pull her off of the bed.

"I'm sure it'll miss you to." He laughed as she looked up at him to see him shaking his head.

"Wait! I forgot my toothbrush, I'll meet you downstairs." She let go of his hand and darted into her bathroom where she grabbed her toothbrush and make-up bag as well as her razor from the shower and put them into her make-up back.

Samuel was waiting by the door when she reached the bottom step. He had already put on his coat and scarf as well as his shoes and he had a bag full of her own shoes in the same hand that held her suitcase.

"Got it?" He asked as he eyed her red make-up bag.

"Yep." She said as she popped the p.

"Let's go." He took her hand in his and led them outside into the cold.

She closed the door to her house and locked it behind them before hurrying to his car. She hadn't put her coat on and she only wore a thin jumper that did littler to warm her up and protect her against the cold. With her suitcase safely in the back with her bag of shoes and both of their seatbelt on Samuel started the car and pulled out of her drive way as she watched her house disappear in the side mirror. She'd miss her house even if she was only gone for a week she would still miss it.

She was a little nervous to be moving in with Samuel and his pack for the week. She didn't know where she was staying but he had a funny feeling that she would be staying with Samuel in his room. The thought alone had the butterflies gathering in her stomach and her heart racing, she knew that Samuel wouldn't try anything and he probably expected them to sleep together and that was it for which she was grateful. She didn't want anything to happen in case she died and left Samuel on his own.

She was also nervous because she would be moving into the pack which meant she would probably meet most of the pack members as well. Although everyone she had meet so far from the pack such as Daniel and his friends as well as Frank and Marie she couldn't help but feel scared. She didn't know what to expect and she desperately wanted them to like her but she didn't know if they would. She was also sending them to war within a week and that was sure to affect their opinions of her as well as their attitude towards her. She only hoped that they gave her a fair chance.

The closer they got to his house the more she began to feel nervous, her palms were sweaty and the butterflies in her stomach were having a party. She really hoped that they liked her and at least accepted her especially as one day she could be their Luna. The thought hadn't occurred to her until then and now that it had she felt even more nervous especially as they drove through the gates and up the long drive way.

"Are you okay?" Samuel asked obviously sensing her distress as he parked his car in front of the house.

"I'm fine." She lied as she climbed out of the car closely followed by Samuel who reached into the back and took both her bag and suitcase.

"You know you're a terrible liar." He pointed out as they stopped at the front of his car.

"I know," she sighed whilst blushing, "I guess I'm nervous. I mean what is they don't like me and think I'm a horrible person and then they'll never accept so they would accept us and then everything will go wrong." She knew she was rambling as it was a nervous habit of her.

"Alena," Samuel soothed as he placed her bag and suitcase on the gravel before putting his hands on both of her shoulders, she looked up into his eyes as he continue to speak. "I can promise you that they will love you, they have already heard so much about you and a dying to see you. They've waited a long time to meet their future Luna and they won't be disappointed and if anyone says otherwise they'll have me to deal with." He said he puffed out his chest. She couldn't help but smile a little bit at his words of encourage she only hoped her was right.

"You loser." She laughed as she gently pushed him away.

"What was that sweetheart?" He asked as she shivered from the term of endearment as she looked up at her mate to see he had a playful glint in his eye.

"You loser." She stuck her tongue out for added affect.

She squealed as she was suddenly thrown over his shoulder, her hands grabbed fistfuls of his coat as she tried to steady herself. She hadn't expected him to throw her over his shoulder, she was expecting him to tickle her or make fun of her back.

"Let me go," she cried out as he dipped so that he could pick up her bag and suitcase before he began to make his way inside.

His hand that had been wrapped around her knees slowly made its way higher, running along the curve of her bum before resting on her waist she his finger brushed against a sensitive spot. She giggled and squirmed from where she was upside down on his shoulder.

"Are you ticklish?" He asked, she could hear the amusement in his voice.

"No." She lied; even she could hear the obvious lie in her voice as they climbed the steps.

"I think you are." He chuckled.

She was about to reply when he purposefully prodded her side earning another giggle and squirm from her. She heard and felt his shoulder shake from his laughed as he attacked her side, his fingers jabbed gently at her sides with no mercy as she squealed and giggled, trying to squirm her way out of his grip as they entered his house and the door was close behind them.

"Let me go," she couldn't help the giggle that escaped her lips as he jabbed her sides. She felt him lower to the ground before her placed her suitcase and bag to the side. His huge hands held onto either side of her hips as he leant further down so that he could lift her off of his shoulders and gently place her on the ground.

She glared up at him, she was sure her face was red and her a little bit messy, he only grinned down at her before looking over her head at something. She slowly turned around to see that a number of people had gathered around the door way that lead into the lounge while others sat on the sofas, they were all starring at her while she blushed and buried her face in Samuel's chest, they had obviously seen him carrying her in and heard her childish giggles. She fought back a smile as she felt Samuel wrap both of his arms possessively around her waist.

"Finally you two are here." A familiar voice spoke as he slowly peeked from where her face was buried in Samuel chest to see Marie making her way through the crowds a big smile plastered on her face.

"Hi mum." Samuel smiled at his mum.

"Hi Marie." She greeted Samuel's mum with a bright smile, showing her straight white teeth and two dimples.

"Hello Alena, you just get prettier every time I see you." Marie cooed softly causing her to blush a pretty pink. "Your parents and the others arrived a few hours ago safely and everything's ready for tonight."

"Tonight?" She questioned, Samuel hadn't told her that they had anything planned for tonight or that he did.

"He didn't tell you?" Marie asked as she narrowed her eyes at her son.

"Tell me what?" She was confused as she spoke in a small voice, looking between Samuel and his mum. Samuel looked sheepish as he smiled nervously down at her, she could see his cheeks tinged with a light pink. She was worried as she had no idea what was going and she didn't know what Samuel hadn't told her, a number of situations going around in her head and not all of them were good.

"You're being introduced and accepted into the pack."
