Jade's POV :
**************THE NEXT MORNING************
I woke up and went downstairs to ask Trudy if she had my uniform ready yet and it was. My first day in a uniform. At my other school we got to wear normal clothes but here were in a uniform. I went upstairs to get changed into my uniform. It was a white shirt , a red and gold tie , a gray cardigan , a maroon blazer , a gray miniskirt , white knee high socks and black flat shoes . Once I was dressed I did my hair it was in its normal purpley pink curls so I just let it dangle anywhere.
I went downstairs and to the table and took my seat next to Fabian . Surprisingly everyone was already there.
"Well I didn't expect to see you here" Patricia said
"Guess what I am here your little plan of locking me up there failed " I said
"You've still not passed the initiation test " She said
"How haven't I ?" I said
"Remember you still had to bring something back" she said
"Well .... " I said and pulled out that black cylinder from my bag
"Now c'mon Patricia even you have to admit that Jade passed that test with flying colors " Fabian said
Patricia just did some sort of growl and stormed out of the room. After she had gone I noticed Mick wasn't in the room.
"Hey amber where's mick ?" I asked
"Oh don't even say his name to me , I don't want anything else to do with him after he stood me up last night" she said
I was about to say something to her but Mick came into the room.
"Hey amber want to walk to school together now?" He said
"No , don't even talk to me Mick were over" she said and ran out of the room
"Woah what's wrong with Amber?" Mick said
"She's upset because you stood her up last night when you was supposed to be going on a date together" I said
"What date ? I didn't know there even was a date.... wait a minute Alfie does this have something to do with you" he said because Alfie has a massive crush on amber and would do anything to split them up
"No !! Well .... maybe , sort of , kinda , yep but it was Jerome's idea " Alfie said earning a smack on the back of his head from Jerome
"Well now I have to go make it up to Amber cya later guys" Mick said then he walked out
"Yeah were going to go to aren't we Jerome " Alfie said and both him and Jerome left as well
"Oh guys I can't walk with you two today I have to be somewhere else" Mara said and left
"Please don't say your going to abandon me as well" I said facing Fabian who was the last person in the room
"Course not now c'mon" he said and we walked out the house he stopped us at some bush in front of the house and started looking through it
"Okay erm... what are you doing ?" I asked slightly confused
He stood up with the attic key in his hand and a leaf in his hair
"Patricia chucked the key out of the window last night and were gong to have to put it back in Victor's office " Fabian said
"No I think I want to keep it I'm going back up there tonight " I said
"What are you insane ?" He said
"No I just need to go back up there it feels like here some sort of weird connection up there " I said
"Okay then I'll meet you at midnight outside the attic" he said
"What?" I said
"I'm not letting you go up there alone I'm coming with you" he said
"Okay oh and by the way " I said before pulling the leaf out of his hair " you don't really want to go to school with this in your hair do you?" I said pointing at the leaf
"No thanks " he said and we both giggled
"Anyway looks like where at school And I don't think were in the same first lesson so I'll catch ya later yeah ?" I said
"Yeah sure cya later " he said and we both walked off

*************AT MIDNIGHT***************
I crept out of my room careful not to wake up Mara and Patricia . This time I remembered to bring my bag with me and the attic key . I got outside the attic to see Fabian just getting there as well.
"Hey ya ready ?" I whispered
"Yeah and I bought a torch for us to see better in there " he whispered back
"Good c'mon let's go " I whispered opening the door with the key we both stepped in and I locked the door behind me
We went up the stairs and stopped at the top of the attic.
"So what exactly did you see up here last time " he said
"Well when I was hiding from victor I hid behind that over there and fell through the wall its like when my locket touched it it caved in and then I just saw a pair of red eyes flash so I came out of there and found a box containing these black cylinders and some other stuff " I said
"Oh well let's look through the thing that you fell through and then we'll look in the box and just look around some more " he said
"Yeah I agree with that plan " I said and I led him to were I fell through and there was just a wall there
"What's this in the wall it matches your locket " he said
"It does " I said I put my locket into the gap and the wall opened causing both me and Fabian to fall through and the red eyes were there again we both had to stop each other from screaming
"What is that ?" He said and flashed his torch at it
"Oh thank god its just a portrait picture of a little girl " I said
"Yeah does she look familiar to you ?" He asked
"It looks like the little girl in my locket " I said
"Show me " he said and I showed him the picture in my locket
"Woah its the exact same picture , now are you going to tell me the truth and tell me where you got this locket from ?" He said to me
"I got it from the old lady I was helping the other day and she gave it to me telling me to find the treasure and keep it awa from the black bird and that the house is evil and that this is her home " I said
"I think we should go see the old lady and ask her more about this locket . Maybe it links to why you kept saying black birds in your sleep the other night " he said
"Yeah we'll go visit Sarah tomorrow on Lunch break at school" I said
"Who's Sarah ?" He said
"The old lady that gave me the locket " I said
"Oh right anyways let's take a look in that box again " he said
We went back into the main part of the attic and got hold of the box . I opened it up and it only had the cylinders in and another box inside of it with a note tapped to it it looked like some sort of clue or something.
"What is this writing ?" I said
"It looks like Egyptian hyrogliphics " he said
"Which is ?" I asked
"Its how Egyptians used to write this translated is obviously the clue to open up this box " he said
"Why couldn't they just write in English ?" I said
"That writing wasn't around then but anyway I'll take a picture of it on my phone and try figure them out in the mean time we best get back to bed before someone notices that were gone " he said
"Yeah let's go " I said
We went back down the stairs in the attic . I opened the door and locked it behind me again .
"Night I'll cya in the morning " he said
"Night and be careful sneaking past Victor's office to get to your room " I said
"I will don't worry " he said and he left to his room and I went back to mine.
I quietly snuck into my room and got into bed and I fell asleep.
