You walked down the streets quietly. It's been a week since that particular day. On that day you had left him standing there not caring about him at all but after that you felt guilty because no matter how much you hated him it was always overthrown by a particular feeling, love.
You paused for a second and then turned towards the other direction. Even thought you were the one who broke up with him, you wanted to see him but only strictly as friends. I mean it was his birthday after all.
Standing in front of his house, you knocked on the door and waited for a response nervously. But an old lady answered it and looked at you wearily. "Um.. Is Midorima Shintaro here?"You asked as the lady shook her head. "No. Midorima-san moved out two days ago,"She said.
After your conversation you left. You didn't think he would move away in such a short notice. You tried calling everyone and asked for his address but none of them told you anything. So you decided to ask your best friend, Kuroko Tetsuya.
You sat on the sofa as Kuroko came back from the kitchen with some tea. Getting straight to the point you asked him.
"Kuroko. Do you know Midorima's address?"
"You didn't hear?"
"W-what?"
"He's dead. He passed away two days ago....."
There you stood on top of the hill, staring down at the stone in front of you. "I wish I could've have told you one last time...,"You sobbed as you fell on you knees.
"I love you.... And happy birthday....."
