Jay: "Over here! There are more flammable materials at this spot!"
Miguel: "I'll block off the blaze from this booth."
Jay: "The cables are starting to spark up again. Beatrix turn off the breaker."
There was chaos brewing around Golden Apple area. The fire was spreading out of control and everyone was doing what they can to stop it. While Miguel was burying the flames with dirt and gravel, Donald Bales arrives at the scene.
Donald: "Unbelievable, did this park suffered enough?"
Miguel: "I know what you mean. Say what are you doing here?"
Donald: "Well I was out on a relaxing drive when I met up with Quentin at the side of the road and helped him out with the repairs on his van."
Miguel: "I've been meaning to do something about that busted up pile of junk."
Donald: "Well, while I was helping out Quentin with the van's repairs he told me about the fire going on at the park and what you guys are doing over here so I decided to come over and see what I could do to help out. Also, I already called the fire department and more of them are coming over."
Miguel: "Well we sure could use the help around here. Honestly though, I find it crazy how Beatrix was left alone to watch over this place."
Donald: "I know. I mean, she's a strong woman and all of that, but having to watch over the place by herself and the amount of responsibilities around here. They really need to give her some help."
Miguel: "we'll discuss this later, right now, let's just get this over with."
Meanwhile at the other side of town we see Quentin driving Macy and Jodi back to the home.
Macy: "I sure hope aunt Gerda isn't mad at me getting late."
Quentin: "I just hope your aunt doesn't think I have anything to do with them getting late."
Jodi: "Right, because you have a history of sneaking into her bakery and snooping about the place."
Macy: "Yeah, just why exactly do you do that?"
This question makes Quentin shrugs a bit before he gave an answer.
Quentin: "Well you see, I don't want to speak ill of your family member or anything, but there have been rumors that your aunt is well involved in some things."
Macy: "Oh, what do you mean by that?"
Quentin: "Well you see.."
Jodi: "Look out!!!"
Right in front of the road was a humanoid bird man. It was the Guest looking to cause some problems. Quentin, Macy, and Jodi let out a horrific scream and swerves the vehicle around the Guest.
Macy: "What was that...thing?"
Quentin: "It was the Guest. Looks like he's heading to the park to cause some problems. I hope everyone at the park will be ok."
Jodi: "I sure could going for some cake your aunt made after that."
Macy turns her attention to her friend and gives her a stern look.
Macy: "No. We have to save some for the school."
The girl grew angry at being denied her favorite food. This wasn't the answer she was hoping to hear.
Jodi: "Ah come on."
Macy: "Besides, my aunt may have some leftovers for us. Though I do hope she isn't too mad when she realizes that we are out late."
At the bakery, we see Gerda closing up the shop and getting things sorted out. As she checks the clock and lets out a sigh. Her niece was suppose to return sometime and she was still out with her friend.
Gerda: "I really gotta have a talk with my niece about a curfew."
When Gerda goes outside to throw out some trash, there was the sound of someone entering her bakery.
Gerda: "*Grunt* Quentin, if that's you, I wont hesitate to knock you upside the head with my skillet and throw you out."
A frustrated Gerda checks around the area when the lights start flicking. Turns out the explosion from the Golden Apple Factory messed up Raven Brooks power station, causing the town's power to go on the fritz.
Gerda: "What happening?"
Suddenly there was a blackout at the restaurant and it was all pitch black. This makes Gerda very nervous and the fact that there was an intruder in her restaurant made her more nervous. As Gerda walks around her home she listens out for any signs of an intruder.
Gerda: "Quentin, if you had anything to do with this I'll do something I wont regret."
The lights slowly start to spark up a but some of the light bulbs begin to burst into pieces. When Gerda looks for some matches to light up a candle, we see a silhouette of a person wearing a cloak and a mask walking right behind Gerda and it also looked like he was holding a wrench. As Gerda bends down to search the drawers we suddenly hear a loud metal thud made by the Enigma whacking the baker surreptitiously. We see the Enigma looking down at his defeated victim, making sure she was unconscious and searching the place. But as he was beginning his search, Gerda slowly wakes up and sees the man roaming the kitchen. It was all dark from the power failure, that she couldn't recognize him. However she was able to see his silhouette of a masked man and began charging towards him. She wasn't going to give up that easily.
Enigma (aggressive tone): "Hold still!"
When Gerda hears this voice, she now knows that this wasn't Quentin or anyone who she knows. This was an unknown person breaking into her place of business. She needed to do what she can to get ride of him. In her mind she was grateful that her niece and her friend wasn't here, otherwise things wouldn't end well for either of them. When she sees the Enigma searching the drawers, she pounces on him and slammed his body on the counter, but because this person was wearing a mask, that only jolted him a bit. This attack only enraged the cloaked man and he attacks the baker and pushes the baker away from him and throws furniture all over the place. This angers the woman even more and she charges toward the man and slammed him body down the wall. There was heavy breath from both parts, but no side was willing to give up. Some the two carry the fight upstairs and in Gerda's bedroom and proceed to pin each other to the floor. Finally having enough of this nonsense, the Enigma lifts up the baker with all his might jumps up to the ceiling with her and crash lands on the floor, sending Gerda into a world of soreness. At the park the fire was slowly being put under control, but that didn't mean some of the people would encounter some problems.
Miguel: "You, get away from that stall!"
We see a vandal getting chased away by Miguel while Donald extinguishes the fire. Jay was already getting exhausted from the smoke and running from sector to sector. Luckily for him Beatrix was rapidly getting things under control on her end.
Jay: "Goodness, how are you able to get your way around the park?"
Beatrix: "Well, when it's just one person in charge of an entire park, while fending off vandals and a man in a bird costume, you can almost do anything."
The mention of a person in a bird costume gets Jay very curious.
Jay: "What exactly do you mean by that?"
Beatrix: "Well you see, there is this stranger whom me and Quentin call the Guest, who would room around the park with the vandals. But unlike the vandals, this person or humanoid bird is just going around the place doing who knows what around there."
Jay: "Strange. Do you think he is somehow connected with the vandals?"
Beatrix: "Quentin and I have been thinking a lot about that. So far we still haven't found the evidence to conclude it."
Miguel: "Uhm guys, I think we got another fire over at the cafe and I just saw another vandal running down that hill over there."
Donald: "Where do these people keep coming from?"
Beatrix: "I ask myself that question a lot."
Back at the bakery, we see a bruised and battered Gerda lying on the floor, clutching onto her stomach. Even though she was still in pain, Gerda was still determined to get the intruder out of the bakery.
Gerda: "Get out of my shop!"
The Enigma lets out a wicked cackle and shoves Gerda down the stairs, making her tumble down like a sack of vegetables and crash down to the floor, making a heavy thud. Once this act was finished and Gerda was now unconscious, the Enigma began letting out another terrible laugh to rub salt in the wounds. With the master of the house all bruised up the intruder proceeds to continue tearing apart the house and destroyed several walls in the process. He then checks the cash register to finally found one of the things he had been looking for.
Enigma: "One down. One more to go."
The vicious intruder tears apart the baker's home and shop like a rabbit animal. Cooking utensils scattered around the place, drawers pulled apart, walls smashed up. This scoundrel was determined to scour the place for whatever he was looking. When he reaches to the bedroom again, the Enigma rips up the walls to find a note which had a recipe for one of Garda's famous cherry pies. The Enigma goes to Gerda's stationary, gets a camera, takes a picture of the note and exits the room.
Macy: "Thanks again for bring us back to the shop Mr. Quentin. But that doesn't mean my aunt is going to take to kind to you though."
Quentin: "Eh, I understand."
Jodi: "Uhhh, Macy, what happened to your aunt's shop.
Soon Quentin and Macy turn their attention to the wreckage, only to be greeted by a scary sight. The bakery had smashed windows, pieces of furniture were scattered around the porch, and sparks of electricity was flickering inside the shop.
Quentin: "What in the world?"
Macy: "Oh no, aunt Gerda."
Quentin guides the kids inside the store while he scrutinized the place in a gingerly manner. It was clear that the whatever happened in here, the danger could still be lurking. As everyone was looking around the area, we see a dark silhouette of a worn out Enigma escaping the area. Not in the mood to attack or capture any people, the Enigma proceeds to leave the place, but Macy was able to catch him exiting.
Macy: "Over there, look!"
The Enigma fled the scene like a coward and was long gone before anyone could see him.
Jodi: "I called the 911. Some of the people are still busy at the park."
Quentin: "Oh boy. Some night this turning out."
Back at the park, the rest of the firefighters were there and the fire was already put to an end.
Miguel: "Ok, everything is over. One last effort."
Beatrix: "I can't thank you guys enough."
Miguel: "Look Beatrix, if this job is ever too much for you, we can find some help."
Beatrix: "Eh...I don't know. I mean I'm able to manage some things for myself, though I do plan on finding some help soon."
Donald: "Wait a second, where's Jay?"
Beatrix: "I saw him at the over at the one of the booths."
Miguel: "I just hope the Guest hasn't gotten to him."
Suddenly Jay appears, looking spooked out. Miguel and Beatrix smirked at each other and looked back at Jay.
Miguel: "You saw him didn't you?"
Jay nods his head while still looking shocked from his encounter.
Beatrix: "Don't worry, Miguel was like that before when he discovered the Guest, since then, he's been very cautious around the park."
Miguel: 'Well I wouldn't say cautious. I mean I'm still curious what he looks like under that getup and what his purpose is scavenging the park."
There were police cars and an ambulance at the bakery. The news that someone had broken into the Bakery and had endangered Gerda was wild news.
Quentin: "And that's exactly what happened."
Officer Keith: "And that's just it?"
Quentin: "Nope, we just arrived and found everything like this.".
Macy: "Aunt Gerda, can you tell us what happened back there?"
Gerda: "I-I can't remember much, but..*groan*."
Suddenly the worn out baker slumps down to the floor.
Macy: "Aunt Gerda!"
Medical Staff: "Stand aside ma'am. She's still worn out."
As the ambulance carries the defeated woman away to the hospital. This distresses the
Macy: "Oh man, this is bad."
With her Gerda at the hospital, she would be all alone in the bakery and there was no telling if that intruder would return to attack the place again.
Jodi: "You can stay over at my house for a bit until your aunt recovers."
Macy: "Thanks Jodi. I really appreciate that."
Jodi: "Hey, what are friends for. Besides, we'll be able to get things ready for the school bake sale during the stay."
Quentin: "I'll drive you two over to Jodi's house."
