Hailey's POV:
I woke up on Sunday morning and my phone started ringing and I picked it up
"Hello" I said
"Good morning love" Julian replied
"Good morning Jul, how are you?" I said trying to sit in bed but I was wrapped in the sheets "shit get off me" I said
"Euh, are you with someone?" Julian asked sounding weird "No, no one" I replied
"who're you talking to then?" he asked, it's strange of him to ask all these questions
"the sheets" I replied and he laughed
"you're weird" he said "well I just called to say that we'll be needing you in the café today cause there's a meeting of those business mans and they ordered coffee from our place" he added
"Em Okay sure, I'll be there as soon as I can say in like half an hour" I said and got up to get ready "Okay see you later Love" he said then hang up
I went to the bathroom to wash my face, I splashed some water on it then lifted my head to look at my face in the mirror and I froze at the sight in front of me, there was a message someone wrote it using my red lipstick and it said 'I can see you, I'm everywhere' I ran to my room trying to calm down then my phone buzzed I opened the text and it was a picture of me sleeping it was taken hours ago I was starting to get dizzy, who's this? And what is happening? It's time to tell Blake I can't take it anymore
I ran to the door when my phone buzzed again it was a picture of Blake sleeping with a message
One more step and he's dead The freak was in the house he was at Blake's room , what can I do now? I was freaking out and I can't leave this room or less he'll kill him I ran to the bathroom and cleaned the mirror the phone buzzed again and I ran to it Good girl now get out but remember if you say anything he'll pay
I throw my phone at my bed and ran out of the room and to Blake's room I opened the door but he wasn't there I ran to the kitchen he wasn't there either I went to the bathroom and at the door I stepped on something wet I looked down thinking it was water but it was blood , and I felt like my whole life was ending then the door opened revealing Blake
"Oh my god Blake!" I ran to him and hugged him crying "are you fine? Where did this blood came from" I asked looking at him and checking if he had any injuries
"it's nothing Babe I just cut myself while shaving that's all" he said assuring me and I nodded
"don't cry I'm fine" he said wiping my tears with his fingers I smiled and hugged him, but as long as I'm in your life you won't be fine
"I have to go get ready now" I said breaking the hug he looked at me confused
"where to, it's the weekend?" he asked
"well Julian called and said that i-" I didn't finish when I heard my phone ringing I panicked and ran to the room thinking it was the freak I answered without checking the ID
"Hello" I said out of breath
"Hailey where are you? You said you'll be here in half an hour" Julian asked
"Sorry Julian I just got caught up I'll there soon" I said and hang up I turned around and Blake was standing at the door
"that's why you came rushing here to answer Julian's call?!" he said annoyed
"No it's just that" I tried to explain but didn't know what to say "He called because they needed me in the Café" I added and he nodded still not convinced
"can you give me a ride because I'm kinda running late" I asked him
"sure, I'll let you get ready" he said and closed the door behind him
I went and took my crop top and high wasted shorts I took my flannel and started wearing them I tight the flannel on my waist put on my white converses took my bag tight my hair in a high ponytail and I was ready to go,
Blake was waiting for me in the living room wearing a denim shirt he had a white t-shirt underneath and some black shorts and his Black Nikes he looked hot
"I know right" he said smirking my eyes widen I said that out loud
"let's just get going" I said heading to the door
"yeah let's not keep Julian waiting" he said bitterly and I ignored it
We didn't say much in the way to the Café I was in deep thoughts about that unknown freak who could that be? Then the car stopped I looked out the window and we were in a parking lot in front of the café and I turned to Blake
"Thanks" I said and he just nodded looking straight not even glancing at me I reached for his face with my hand and made him turn I looked at his eyes and then I crashed my lips on his he responded directly by pushing me closer to him our lips moved in sync and he tasted so good I just wanted to kiss him more and more I pushed his face closer deepening the kiss he suddenly lifted me up and I was on his lap he traced his thong on my lips and I opened them letting him in and I heard him groan I pulled away breathing heavily he went down kissing my neck and I felt him sucking and biting and a soft moan escaped my lips he looked at my eyes again and I knew I was falling hard for him
"I think I'm getting used to you" he said and I froze remembering what that meant "there's no such a thing called love you just get used to that person" I said that to him once
I blushed and peck him once more then opened the door and went to the café
"Hailey thank god you're here come help me fill those cups with coffee" Martha said and I went to help her fill them Julian was taking care of the costumers while I helped Martha
"we finished here dear, you can go help Julian with taking orders" Martha said and I nodded and went "Hey be careful I spilled some tea the-" Julian said and before he could finish I felt myself falling backward I closed my eyes waiting for my body to hit the ground but it didn't I opened my eyes and I was face to face with Julian his hand wrapped around my waist and he looked at me in a way I couldn't describe his eyes left mine for a sec and he looked behind me then he looked at me again
"Be careful looks like you're falling for my charms, literally" he winked and I laughed
"yeah, how can't I? now you can let go you know" I said smiling and he nodded I turned around and my smile faded as Blake was standing there looking like he's about to kill someone
"Oh dear you came again" Martha said walking to him and he forced a smile
"yeah Hailey here forgot her bag in my car, came to give it to her" he said and I went to take it from him
"I felt your phone buzzing" he said handing it to me then he turned around leaving
"Blake, wait" I shouted running after him he was already getting in the car as I stopped him
"what you saw there it's-" I didn't finish my sentence
"You don't have to explain, I get it" he cut me and I felt released"Good, I thought you-" I started
"I get it that you have feeling for that douche-bag that explains why you never said that you like me back, are those kisses fake?!" he shouted hitting the wheel of his car
"No it's not please hear me out" I begged but he just got in the car and drove away my phone buzzed again and I had two messages I told you, you're mine and what you did in that car will be paid for
The first message said and I went to open the last one This is half of it Hailey disobey me again and the cost will be worse
I couldn't help it as tears started pouring down my face and I stood in the empty parking lot all alone "Hailey" Julian called running to me"are you okay? What's wrong?" he asked and all I did was cry he came closer and hugged me as I sobbed in his shirt
"Shh it will be fine I'm here for you, I'll always be here for you" he said running his hand up and down my back in a comforting way we stayed like that until I calmed down
"I gotta go tell Martha I said sorry, I'll work more hours next time" I said"
it's okay, do you want me to come with you?" he offered and I shook my head
"No, I wanna be alone" I said and he nodded and I started walking down the street I arrived at the apartment and it was dark and empty Blake wasn't back I went to my room and changed got in bed and lied there as tears fell silently then I drifted into sleepI woke up checked the time and it was seven p.m I went to see if Blake came back but he wasn't there I went to the kitchen and decided to cook dinner I did some mash potatoes and steak I set the table and put everything on it took a seat and waited I called him for what it seemed the million time but it always go straight to voice mail
"Blake please answer, where are you? Come home so we can talk" I said then hang up
I kept waiting and waiting until it reached midnight I cleaned the table put the foot in the fridge and went to the living room I turned on the TV and started watching 'Age of Adeline' the movie was great by the time it ended it was way past midnight I put it on a food channel and kept watching until I fell asleep
"Wake up, hey Hailey" someone was shaking I opened my eyes and there was Blake
"Blake, you scared me" I said he looked so tired he was still wearing his clothes from yesterday black bags under his eyes
"I'm sorry" he said but it didn't sound like he was apologizing for that
"I called but you didn't pick up" I said and he stayed quite he had this guilty look on his eyes and I felt cold and my hand started shaking No,it can't be
"I was mad and jealous and I got drunk" he said looking down and I felt like I was suffocating,
This can't be not him"where did you sleep last night?" I shouted but he was still didn't move didn't say anything
"answer me, damn you!" I shouted again
"I don't know" he replied slowly "you have to trust me Hailey I'll figure everything out" he said but I couldn't believe him all I thought is how could I ever trust him? I should've never let him in
"I trusted you enough" I said calmer now "more than I should" I added
"you have to hear me out and understand me" he got closer to hold me and I stepped back
"don't!" I snapped "you know what the truth is? You never trusted me! never liked me!" he shouted "so whatever I say right now wouldn't change a thing because in your eyes I'm already a cheater" he added then walked away and slammed the door behind him a I fell on the ground holding my chest this hurts a lot the pain was too much I couldn't take it anymore.
