INT. MVLC RESIDENCES, UNIT 1509 — DAY
Santi drops off the last baggage inside Ginny's unit.
SANTI
Sure ka, Ginn, wala ka nang naiwan sa car ko?
SANTI
I mean, I can drive naman ulit pabalik dito in case. Don't worry.
GINNY
Yup. I think these are all complete na.
Ginny glares a bit at Santi upon seeing again the branded paper bags on the floor.
GINNY
Nakakainis ka. Siguro if makita 'to ng ibang tao isipin nila sugar daddy kita.
Santi lets out a laugh.
SANTI
(laughs)
I don't mind.
SANTI
Why would I not want to spend my money on my wife?
GINNY
(rolling her eyes)
Heh. Bahala ka sa buhay mo.
GINNY
Santi.
SANTI
Hmm?
GINNY
(softly)
Diretso uwi ka na...?
SANTI
Daan muna ako sa HDM quickly. I'll drop off some papers kay Dra. Chua.
Ginny stares at Santi.
GINNY

SANTI

Oh. You know Rame?
GINNY

That's her name? Yvonne Raymonde.
GINNY
(arching a brow)

Santi blinks.
SANTI
(lowly)

GINNY

Santi's lips part as he stares at Ginny who's flashing no emotions right now.
He blinks, amused.
Struggling to control a smile.
SANTI
Wait.
SANTI
(blinking)
Julienne—
GINNY
(softly)
Go home na nga.
Santi catches Ginny's arm when she faces her back to him.
He wraps his arms around her waist.
Plants a kiss on her shoulder.
SANTI
(smiling)
You mean, hindi na ako aalis dito?
GINNY
What?
SANTI
(chuckles)
Sorry. Are you jealous?
SANTI
(smiling)
Love you, Ginn.
SANTI
I'll never do that to you.
SANTI
And to be fair, I bought you a pasalubong every time I went out of the country for the past four years. In case we meet again.
SANTI
You think I have forgotten about you?
Ginny sighs, facing Santi.
She nibbles on her lower lip.
GINNY
(lowly)
Uwi ka na ba talaga?
SANTI
You want me to stay here?
Ginny stares at Santi.
GINNY
You said pupunta ka 'ka mo sa HDM?
SANTI
(shaking his head, smiling)
Okay lang. I'll stay if you want me to.
GINNY
Paano 'yung papers na i-do-drop off mo?
SANTI
Tomorrow na lang.
SANTI
Stay ako rito, Ginn?
SANTI
You want me here?
Ginny's eyes never leave Santi's.
She laughs softly and slowly.
Pursing her lips when she feels eyes watering.
GINNY
(chuckling and voice breaking,
wiping her cheeks)
Nakakainis ka.
GINNY
(tears falling, laughing lowly)
Santiago...
SANTI
Baby—
GINNY
(smiling, crying)
Wala na. I don't know what I'd do na ulit...
GINNY
Kapag—
GINNY
Like. When... you come home.
GINNY
(wiping her cheeks, softly laughing)
Paano na 'yun, Santi... whenever you come home?
GINNY
Then I'll miss you whenever I'm alone here?
GINNY
(whispering)
Paano... whenever I'll want you here? Kasi I miss you.
Ginny's tears continue to fall.
They fall more as she stares at Santi longer.
GINNY
(crying)
I missed you a lot. There was no day I didn't.
GINNY
(voice shattering)
I missed you for four years... I'm—I'm sorry.
GINNY
(chuckles)
I know it's my fault din naman.
GINNY
(smiling forlornly)
Why I couldn't hug you for four years—
Santi pulls Ginny for a tight embrace.
He rests his chin on top of Ginny's head, one hand caressing her hair.
SANTI
Dito lang muna, I promise. I'll stay here tonight. Gusto mo? I'll stay with you for as long as you want me to.
GINNY
Ang layo ng HDM? Huwag na lang. Ma-traffic ka lang sa umaga—
SANTI
E'di I'll wake up early.
SANTI
(softly)
Stop crying na. Ayaw mo ako umalis?
Ginny cries on his chest.
He kisses the side of her head.
SANTI
(whispering)
Okay. Okay. I'm sorry. Hindi na aalis. Tell me whenever you miss me. I'll come.
SANTI
(smiling)
I fucking missed you, too. Stop—saying it. Nothing's your fault.
GINNY
Paano bukas? Hindi ka mahihirapan?
SANTI
(smiling)
I will be fine.
SANTI
I'll hug you again when we sleep tonight, okay? You'll see me before I go to work. I'll cook breakfast. I'll kiss you before I go to work.
SANTI
(smiling)
Ginny, I love you.
SANTI
(whispers)
We'll take it slow. The house—it will always be there. Hindi naman aalis 'yun.
SANTI
Julienne.
SANTI
You don't have to beg for me to stay, okay?
SANTI
I won't let you beg.
SANTI
I'll always choose to stay.
SANTI
Always. I always chose to stay, 'di ba?
SANTI
Even during nights—
SANTI
I had more of nothing and less of you.
