Homework - Hero Advisory

A few chapters back, we have already shown you two homework assignments - because doing homework is one of the things you can do on World of Metahumans. And not the boring kind like IRL school, but the fun type that heroes and vilalins would have to do. One of those classes is Hero Advisory, and Carson Roseblades has provided us with an example of his homework! (All credits go to him.)

☄ Carson Theodore Roseblades

☄ 658 words

☄ RPG format

☄ Own imagination

☄ Written as if Carson was still 18 and in his third year

Carson Roseblades knew he was no hero. He would never be able to do some good for this world. Oh, maybe he would, but not in the way of being a full on superhero. Yes, Carson was able to help people. He didn't mind it from time to time. Yet, Carson always thought about himself first. He barely cared about anyone else's feeling and wouldn't think twice about saving himself before saving someone else. However, Carson was also not a villain. His goal in life was not to hurt others. He didn't specifically want to harm others nor did he want to rule the world. Carson didn't care about that either. Carson didn't see the world in black and white. It wasn't just amazing superheroes, bad villains, and citizens that needed help. There was much more than that. There were heroes who made bad decisions too. Just like there were villains that saved people. There were even people in between, in the grey area, who were no hero nor a villain. More... anti-heroes... or anti-villains. Carson was one of those. He knew that already. Yet, he was here, taking Hero Advisory, to see what Master Sterling could do about the disaster that he was now.

Carson had actually chosen to take Hero Advisory all by himself. Normally Carson would just stick with subjects like Combat, seeing that he always wanted to do physical things (and science subjects, but Carson would never admit his liking for those). Yet, Carson was here, in the Hero Advisory classroom on the fifth floor, listening to students introducing themselves. Everyone had their own reason to take this class. Carson wasn't much bothered by the other students. While maybe Weaponomics and Botany were subjects where you would work together and care about what the other student was doing, this subject wasn't. Carson knew that Hero Advisory would be much more personal. That was why Carson was destined to do this course all by his own. Kinda weird, seeing that the kid normally let other students do all the work for him, so he could just sit back and do absolutely nothing.

"My name is Carson Roseblades," the Velorpian started as soon as it was his turn to introduce himself. He had stood up, made sure his blazer was straight, and looked around the classroom. "I'm an eightteen years old member of the Cosmic League. I'm a Velorpian, meaning that I have multiple powers. Mainly photokinesis and enhanced senses." Carson nodded. He was quite proud of his powers and fully certain he was able to use them in many scenarios. "A fun fact about me is that the thing I love most about Earth is the food. The pasta's, amazing. I wish I could eat it all day." It wasn't something Carson talked about a lot, but he decided that it was something fun he could share with his classmates today. "I am taking this class, as I want to know myself a bit better. I want to see whether there is a hero in me." For a moment Carson looked at Master Sterling. "I want to know how heroes think, how they act, and just what exactly defines a hero." Carson nodded. "Thank you," he then spoke confidentily before sitting down. Carson was incredibly confident, even if he wasn't sure what to think about this subject yet. However, he was sure that he thought Master Sterling was a quite interesting person. Being a half-Demon? That sounded incredibly cool. Carson wondered what their story was and how they had become a hero. Plus, they seemed to be nice and genuinely care about their students. That was good with a subject like this.

Now it was just waiting to see whether they could turn Carson into a true hero.
