"Please na Anubhav, chaliye na humare saath" Haseena pleaded innocently.

"Nahi..." Anubhav, who was busy in his mirror cube denied emotionlessly.

"Please chaliye na, humara bahot man hai..." she requested.

"Maa ya Suhana maa ke saath chali jao...hume kyu jabardasti kar rahi ho" he said.

"Par hume aapke saath jana hai" she pouted. "Please... maan jaiye na" she said twinkling her eyes.

"Aaj office kyu nahi gayi tum? Dimaag kha rahi ho kabse humara..." he said grumpily.

"Aapka dimaag khana tha, isiliye toh nahi gaye..." she mocked, which made him roll eyes.

"Kitne bure hai aap Anubhav, humari ek masoom si request nahi maan sakte aap" she fake cried.

"Kya chote baccho ki tarah zidd kar rahi ho Haseena..." He chided, trying to make her fill bad, but--

"Please na....please, please, please...." she started blabbering loudly. He shooked his head helplessly.

 'Jaye kya....?'

'Bilkul nahi...!'

"Aap humare saath mela dekhne chal rahe hai Mr. Singh....nahi toh----

--nahi Toh?"

"Nahi toh hum apne maike chale jayenge haan!" she sat on the bed grumpily with a thud.

"Tum kaho to tumhare liye train ki ticket book kare!" he taunted with a tight-lipped smile.

"Koi zaroorat nahi...!" she bubbled her face.

He signed.

"Haseena, humare saath jake kya karogi...maa ke saath chali jao" he said.

"Par hume aapke saath mela dekhna hai Anubhav" she said.

"Kya karogi humare saath, dikhe ga toh waise bhi kuch nahi hume---

---Anu..." Devki entered calling his name.

"Kya hua, aise kyu baithe ho dono..?" she asked.

Sensing the advantage, Haseena smirked.

"Maa kahi ye na Anubhav se, hume mela dekhne jana hai unke saath, par woh taiyyar hi nahi ho rahe hai" she said walking towards her.

"Anu...chala ja na beta agar Hasi ka itna man hai toh" Devki said.

"Par Maa humara man nahi hai jane ka" he retorted.

"Chala ja na beta...dono milke ghum aao thoda..." She said.

"Par Maa---

---Anu" she strictly voiced out.

"Hum taiyyar hoke aate hai" she said and head inside the washroom.

"Das km ke dedh sau laga rahe hai bhaiya aap...mhatlab kuch bhi!" Haseena said.

"Maidam kisi bhi rickshaw wale se puch lijiye dedh sau se kam nahi lega koi" Rickshaw wala replied.

"Aap apna bataiye, aap hume sau rupay main chod rahe hai ya koi aur rickshaw dhoonde hum" Haseena said angrily.

"Sahab maidam ko samjhaiye na thoda" He pleaded Anubhav, being scared of her rising tone.

"Haseena maan jao na...kya fark padta hai" Anubhav said but he himself was scared.

"Fark padta hai Anubhav (Anubhav was about to speak when---) Aap jara chup rahiye (---she shut his mouth up) aur aap..sau se ek rupay uper nahi denge hum aapko" she retorted.

"Thik hai maidam...na aapka na mera, ek sau tees kar dete hai" rickshaw wala said with a pleading smile.

"Nabbe (90).." she bargained.

"Nabbe..!" he exclaimed. "accha chaliye ek sau bees" he said.

"Assee (80)...!" she said.

"Ek sau bees thik hai na maidam?" he pleaded.

She paused for a while, crossing her arms across her chest.

"Chaliye Anubhav!" She said and was about to drag Anubhav when---

----Accha chaliye maidam Sau main chod dete hai aapko" Rickshaw wala said helplessly kick starting his auto.

"Pehele hi sun li hoti to time waste nahi hota humara, aaiye baithe.." she said to Anubhav and sat in the auto.

Anubhav shooked his head in disbelieve and followed her.

"Aaj bahot maje karenge hum." she said in excitement.

He was happy to see Haseena's eagerness. Unbeknownst to her, he turned his face and smiled. Neither uttered a word but enjoyed each other's presence. Their ride was silent until Haseena's humming voice caught his ear, taking all his attention.

~Anubhav~

(Imagine she's humming the song below)

Hum tum kitne pass hai, kitne door hai chand sitare...

As soon as her voice engulfed my sense, I desire to listen her more. Whenever she sings, I found myself lost in the ocean of peace. Her voice is so soothing, so dulcet that one could get rid of his anxieties.

Sach pucho toh man ko jhoothe lagte hai ye saare...

I closed my eyes, enjoying my treat.... Say whatever, but I am truly blessed to have her.

Magar sacche lagte hain...

Ye Dharti....

Ye Nadiya...

Ye Raina...

I waited for further two words...when she herself voiced them out in my ears following by her sweet chuckle.

Aur Tum...

I opened my eyes. She must've sensed my attention; thus, I avoided looking at her by which her chuckle grew louder.

"Aap bahot cute hai!" she said pulling my right cheek. I frowned jerking my head off her clutch.

She laughed and continued humming.

We reached the fair. I can hear the crowd here. I was busy analyzing the surrounding when--

"Chaliye, chalte hai" she said, wrapping her arms around my biceps. I didn't wriggle, because I know I need it as much as I want it.

We started walking. I looked at her. She's happy, I can feel it. Her nature of finding joy in every little thing made me happy in a different way. Despite her maturity, she is still a little kid at heart. And I am more than happy that she has started staying with me as she is, without any filter... But I must not forget that I am not right for her...and would never be.

"Mele main aane ka ek apna hi maja hai, haina!" Haseena exclaimed, snapping me out of my thoughts. I hummed.

"Aapko pata hain...mele se bahot saari yaade judi humari" she said. But the thing I only heard was the sadness in her voice.

"Kaisi yaade?" I asked, looking at her.

"Humare Nanu! har baar mela ghumane leke jaate the hume. Aisa sheher ka ek bhi mela nahi hoga jiss main hum na gaye ho. Ghanto bitaye hain humne unke saath mele main, ghar wapas jaane ka man hi nahi karta tha. Apne kandho pe bithake pure mele ki sair karai hain unhone hume....Humare Dadaji humare janam se pehele hi guzar gaye the. Par kabhi unki kami mehesoos nahi hone di Nanu ne. Matashree keheti thi bahot strict the woh lekin humare liye ekdam mulayam dil, kisi dost se kam nahi the woh....Unke guzarne ke baad mela jaise humare liye agyaan sa ho gaya. Pitashree ne hume mele main le jane ki bahot koshish ki, par humara man lagta hi nahi tha. Uske baad mela aana hi chod diya humne. bahot yaad aati hai hume unki..." she said. It was the first time that she shared something with me. I listened to her quietly.

"Toh aaj achanak mele main aane ki iccha kaise hui tumhari...yaad nahi aa rahi unki?" I asked her. Of course, the pain of losing someone so close is indescribable. I've gone through.

"Humari yaadon main toh woh humesha hote hai.... Par aaj socha, Kisi special ke saath nayi yaade banai jaye" she said, halting me on the spot. This girl is definitely something who always manage to make my heart jump out of its place. She chuckled, dragging me forward.

"Itna pyaar mat karo humse Haseena!" I said with seriousness, but she laughed.

"Ab kya kara, aap toh humse pyaar nahi karte. Isiliye hume double wala pyaar karna padta hai, Taki humara rishta balanced rahe" she said by which I burst into laughter at her innocent talk.

"Pagal ho tum" I said in between my laugh.

"Haan janab...ho gaye hai pagal, aapke pyaar main" she said giving me Goosebumps.

"Badi ajeeb ho yaar...ek pal main masoom aur dusre hi pal main bold ban jaati ho!" I exclaimed.

"Aise hi hai hum..." she said and we both chuckled. Her grip on my biceps tightened making me smile wholeheartedly.

"Kya kar rahe hai bhaisahab, dekh ke chaliye thoda..." A lady yelled at me loudly, as I mistakenly collide with her.

"Maaf kar dijiyega behenji galati se dakka lag gaya" I apologized.

"Aap thik hai na Anubhav..?" Haseena asked worriedly. I nodded.

"Kya Maaf kar doon...mere bacche ki ice cream gira di..." said the lady and behind her I heard the sound of a little boy crying. It must be her child.

"Rula diya mere bacche ko..." she said.

"Dekhiye Hume maaf kar dijiye bass galati se dakka lag gaya.." Haseena said. "Aur tum chutku, chalo hum tumhe Ice cream lekar dete hai" she added by which the kid started crying more loudly.

"Arey itni mushkil se shant kiya tha isse, ab phirse ro raha hai ye shaitan....Andhe ho kya bhai jo bacche ke saath itni badi aurat dikhai nahi di tumhe" The lady chided on me loudly....Okay, sooo I didn't care much what she said but my volcano must be definitely on the verge to erupt at any moment now.

"Oooyy!..." And no sooner...it erupted.

"Maafi mang rahe hai na hum, kyu baat ka batangad bana rahi hai aap" Haseena yelled at her.

"Accha galati khood ki ab chilla mujh par rahi ho.." the lady fired back.

"Aapko jaan bujhke dhakka dekar kya karenge hum...aur mana agar humse galati ho gayi toh kya aapko nahi dikhe hum aate hue, aap bhi toh hat sakti thi na samne se" Haseena raised her tone.

Calm down womans! Huh never...🙇‍♀️

"Wah! Ulta chor kotwal ko daante..." lady taunted.

"Badi ajeeb aurat hai aap---

---Haseena!" I jumped in between.

---aap chup rahenge jara" and she shut me up scolding me. "Apni galati accept kar rahe hai na hum, maafi mang rahe hai aapse. phir bhi aap aawaz chadha rahi hai humpar" she continued.

"Dekh kar chalte toh aisi naubat hi nahi aati na" The lady further said.

"Dekhiye devi ji..." I said before Haseena could reply. "Hum netrahin hai. Chahkar bhi kuch nahi dekh sakte hum. Isiliye galati se aapse takra gaye. Hume maaf kar dijiye" I said.

"Ooh...K..oi baat nahi, main chalti hoon..." she said, and left as she realized the truth.

"Kya zaroorat thi beech main bolne ki...hum sambhal rahe the na..." Haseena said grumpily.

"Sambhal rahi thi ya jhagad rahi thi.." I taunted.

She gripped my arm and drag me towards nearby bench. No exchange of words, but I sensed her anger. This is how she is. She can swallow all the criticism and complaints of the world. But can't tolerate a word against me.

"Haseena..." I initiated softly. but no reply.

"Gussa thuk do...kitna accha mood tha tumhara, aisi choti choti baat pe gussa nahi hote" I pacified.

"Humare liye ye choti baat nahi hai Anubhav" she said, and I heard soft sobbing sounds. I was about side hug her, when something in me stopped me. I gained my strain expression back.

"Ab tumhe apne andhe pati par sharm aa rahi hogi...haina" I said sarcastically, only to hear her laugh which surprised me.

"Sab samajh te hai hum Anubhav... hume thess pauchane ki aapki ye koshishe vyarth hai. aapki kisi bhi chaal main phasne nahi wali ye Haseena" she said pulling my cheeks. It's been like she'd got a new game of pulling my cheeks. No matter what the topic is, pulling my cheeks is constant. Which irritates me.

I heard the voice of an ice cream vendor in my neighbor and decided to buy ice cream for her. While enjoying the ice cream, she narrated me her Mumbai memories. And the conclusion was yes, she was naughty. Then next she wanted to play balloon shooting like a game. I told her what childish game she wanted to play, but picking up a gun was not her cup of tea. After giggling at that, I helped her grabbing the gun and she popped five balloons perfectly under my guidance. Then we sat on the giant wheel, on which I was forced to sit. Although I was not able to see her smile, her heartfelt words and laughter were enough to show her happiness.

"Golgappe!" we both exclaimed together followed by our laughs. I felt so satisfying eating golgappa after so long.

"Umm....adbhut!" I said being lost in the flavor.

"Kafi pasand hai na apko golgappe" she said chewing on her piece.

"Bahot jyada..." I said, putting next golgappa in my mouth.

"Tabhi toh bachpan main kisi golgappe se kam nahi lagte the aap..." she said, but I could smell her mischief.

"Jaise tumne dekha hai hume bachpan main!" I taunted.

"Nahi, dekha toh nahi hai...par aapka bachpan ka album dekha hai" she said.

"Maa ne woh bhi dikha diya tumhe" I squinted my brows.

"Haan!..." she said.

"Aur pata hai...humne aapki woh wali tasweer bhi dekhi" she said mischievously.

"Kounsi wali...?" I asked.

"Bina kapdo wali...." she whispered, freezing me. She started laughing shamelessly. I turned my face opposite to her, being embarrassed and chocking on the golgappa in my mouth. My face flushed redness all over and her laughs was not ready to stop seeing my condition. I need to talk with Maa once I reached home.

"You are incredible..." I said with a frown, which made her laugh even louder.

She wanted to buy something for the family so next we went shopping at small stalls. Before purchasing the items, she described them to me, wondering if it would suit everyone. And I went on answering her every question.

"Reva ye jhoomka dekho...kafi jachega tum par" I heard a male voice from my right when we were busy discussing.

"Wow! kitna sundar hai ye!" immediately after, a girl exclaimed. We were definitely standing outside of jhoomka shop.

"Tumhe pasand aaya?" He further asked in a soft tone.

"Ek pati apni patni ke liye pyaar se jo kuch bhi lata hai, woh ek aurat ke liye sone se bhi jyada mulyavaan hota hai... aur jhoomke to har ladki ka pyaar hota hai. kabhi bhi lake do, mana nahi karegi." she said.

Haseena is now busy bargaining; she won't stop till the vendor beg in front of her. It's a good time, I decided to buy something for her. And I managed to do it before my brain could refuse to do it.

"Suniye vikreta ji..." I called the seller.

"Ji bhaya, kahiye..." A man replied.

"Hume apni patni ke liye jhoomke kharidne the" I said.

"Bataiye phir, kaise jhoomke dikhaye apko...." he said.

"Dekhiye hume inn sab ke bare main koi jankari nahi hai... aap humse jyada jante hai. woh baju wale dukan main jo mahila bargaining kar rahi hai woh patni hai humari. Uspar adhik jachne wale jod diiye hume..." I said explaining him.

"Accha...waise bhahiji kafi sundar hai, sare jhoomke jachenge unpar" he said, and a sudden gush of possessiveness spread all over me. I glared in his direction.

"H..um abhi dikhate hai aapko..." he said. After some time, he came in front of me with some pairs of earrings. I took each of them in my hand and began to inspect it thoroughly. Actually, I didn't understand any of it, but I tried my best.

"Yeh jhoomke bandh dijiye" I said, paid him putting the packet in my pocket.

"Anubhav kahan the aap..." she asked once I walked towards her.

"Yahi the, tumhari bargaining khatam hone ki rah dek rahe the. Shopping ho gayi ho toh chale" I said.

"Haan...par chuski khane ke baad" she said softly making me chuckle.

"Kitna maja aaya na aaj!" she exclaimed once we settled in the auto. I smiled.

"Ab apko humare saath har mele main chalna hoga" she further said. "Abhi kuch saal toh hum apke saath mela enjoy kar lenge, phir uske baad apne baccho ko bhi mela ghumayenge" she continued, making me snap at her in shock.

"Aise kya dekh rahe hai....bacche nahi chahiye kya aapko!" she added, and my eyes bulged out.

"Tum pagal ho.." was the sentence spilled out from my mouth in disbelieve.

"Iss main hume pagal kehene jaisa kuch nahi tha! future planning zaroori hoti hai Mr. singh" she said chuckling.

"Chup raho jara...." I said and averted my gaze...Okey I will not lie to myself about my blushing self.

"Shukriya Anubhav, aaj ka humara din yaadgaar banane ke liye" she said. I looked in her direction and soon averted it without uttering a word and to my surprise, she rested her head on my bicep making my heart swell.

I too will never forget this day. It was the first time after our marriage that we talked openly, laughed heart to heart forgetting all our pain. I was surprised that today I did not think of going away from her. I desired every moment should be spent very close to her. I don't know why and how I am getting this thought but please Haseena, please don't give up trying to hold on to our relationship, don't give up on me. I want this, I want your love, I want your support for the rest of my life, I except it. I promise you Hasina, instead of thinking that I can't keep you happy, I will try to give you every possible happiness. kyunki tum toh hume chodne se rahi...I will end your wait soon, very soon.

While thinking all this, I did not realize that I had placed my head on her's. I closed my eyes, enjoying our closeness.
