After class was finished, I quickly gathered my things and packed it securely in my old worn black leather bag and got up. I slid my chair back in its place. I then turned around and felt I had bumped into something.

"Watch where you're going Severus!" Potter remarked.

"Yeah, watch where you're going Snivellus!" Sirius replied.

"You're so clumsy Snape." Lupid said.

"Hey guys! Leave him alone! Are you okay Sev?" Lily said in her angelic eloquent sweet voice. She came around from behind James to me and put her hand on my shoulder.

"I'm fine. Don't worry about me." I said with my head down and I attempted to smile at her.

"Yeah, just leave him alone Lily. Come on; let's go back to the Gryffindor Tower." Potter said with a grin on his face and put his arm around Lily urging her toward the door.

"Oh all right. Goodbye Sev. I'll catch ya later!" Lily said and walked out of the room with James.

"Goodbye Lily!" I said quickly with a hand up in the air.

"Later Snivellus." Sirius said with a laugh and the rest of them walked out of the room.

I just put my head down and walked out of the room as fast as possible to my dormitory. Once there, I lounged on my bed, and opened a potions book. Just then, Mulciber came in and sat next to me.

"Hey there Severus. Reading another Potions book there I see eh?" He said and gave a small laugh. I looked up from my book and said "Obviously. What do you need?" I looked back down to my book as I awaited his answer.

"Avery and I were just wondering if you wanted to have a bit of "fun" with us by the field. She found a new potion you know." He gave a wicked smile. I looked up at the ceiling and thought for a moment. I finally decided I needed a little "fun" right now.

"All right, I'll come." I said with a small faint smile and shut my book.

"Good mate! Let's go!" He said and pulled me off the bed. "You won't be disappointed!"

I coudl not help but give a big smile at this. Other than potions, spending time with Mulciber and Avery was the best thing to cheer me up. They always had "fun" coming up with new dark magic potions or spells to pass the time. Mulciber and I stepped outside the boy's dormitory and started descending down the steps, when I saw that Avery was there waiting for us by the fireplace holding a large bag full of materials. Cauldrons and ingredients no doubt were in her bag.

"Come on! Let's go!" She hurried us by waving her free hand towards the door.

"All right, all right! We're coming! Be patient Avery." Mulciber said. She growled at him both madly and jokingly. Mulciber just laughed. "Very nice."

"How are you doing Sevie?" Avery asked him blushing slightly.

"Fine." I said rather melancholy. "Yourself?"

"Oh, just fine." She said with a little smile. I could really care less, to say the least.

"Well come on you two." Said Mulciber and led us down the stairs onto the field.

We walked to our usual spot near the forbidden forest. It was faraway enough from the castle that no one could see us unless they were walking nearby. Once there, Avery got out all of the materials in the bag by dumping them onto the ground.

"Careful!" I exclaimed. These were very fragile materials, and if they were to break, we would have some serious consequences.

"Sorry." Avery said without much feeling.

"Bloody Hell!" Mulciber said. Both Avery and I turned to look at him in confusion, but he offered no explanation.

"What's the matter Mulci?" Avery asked him.

"Look!" Mulciber said and pointed somewhere inside the forbidden forest. We followed his finger to the spot where he was looking, and from a far distance, we could see centaurs coming.

"Oh bother." I said sighing. How inconvenient. "What are we going to do? We can't get caught by them, or we'll get some serious punishment." I looked at Mulciber but he just stared on. I sighed again, and started putting the materials back in the bag. Avery soon started helping as well. Once the materials were all in the bag securely, I grabbed Mulciber's arm firmly.

"Get up Mulciber! Let's GO!" I pulled him up and he finally budged. It was inconceivable. His fear of centaurs was just inconceivable. How he could be afraid of such lowly creatures, I'll never know. Despicable.

"Let's move faster or they'll see us for sure. Let's get to our other place." I said urging his feet to move faster.

"Snape let go!" I'm moving!" He yanked his arm away. I quickly let go of my grasp. Good! He finally stopped looking at them, I thought to myself.

"Fine, let's just get out of here quick." I said. I heard him mutter "Bloody Hell" under his breath, but I made no remark. Usually, he is an amazing leader in our small group, and to see a weakness like this in him is very interesting to watch.

""What are you staring at Snape?" He asked in pure contempt.

"Nothing." I muttered. It seems I stared at him for too long.

We soon arrived at another place that we usually frequented. It was a closed area circumferenced by bushes.

"All right. Now what is this new potion  you have discovered Avery?" I asked sitting down cross legged in front of her.

"Avery got this wicked smile on her place white face. "You'll see Sevie." She got out her cauldron, then grabbed some potions and started mixing them together. I looked into the cauldron in pure amazement and awe. To think that there could be so many endless possibilities to being a potions master. From healing to killing, from strengthening to weakening in seconds, and from transformation to deterioration. Endless! All the possibilities if only one set himself int he right direction of learning.

"Where did you learn this one?" I asked in pure curiosity.

"OH! I just looked in the library and found this book full of dark spells. I couldn't resist, so I took a peek. I also took that memorizing potion you recommended and used it to temporarily memorize the ingredients for it, and wrote it down afterwards. Pretty smart eh Snape?" She said with a grin.

"Yes...very smart indeed." I said to compliment her on her wonderful use of knowledge and sources that I had given her.

"Why thank you. all right, it's all done." She said after her potion had stopped bubbling. She got out some paper cups for the three of us and poured us some of the dark, rich blue liquid. She then handed them to us and held her cup in the air.

"Cheers!" She said and we raped our cups in return. "Cheers!" Mulciber and I replied. She gave us one last smile and gulped her entire drink. Mulciber drank next, and half a second later, I drank mine slowly and carefully. My body started tingling, and I felt a burning desire to touch something immediately. There was a dead leaf next to me and I touched it. As soon as my skin made contact with the leaf, it bursts into flames. What a pleasure it was to watch! To see it crumble in its weakness. I must be insane to enjoy this, but then Avery and Mulciber must be insane as well for they also watched with greed at the crumbling leaf.

"Yeah, wicked!" Mulciber said holding some burnt grass in his hand.

"Thanks Avery. I'll put this on my list." I said smiling wickedly.

"Ooh! List worthy! Oh my, I'm glad you think so!" She meant of course, my list of black magic potions of good value. This potion might be useful in the future. Hopefully, with this potion, I can become even more powerful. It is good to have Mulciber and Avery as friends. Not only because they help me find amazing black magic potions and spells, but also because they make me feel more human than invisible.

"Thanks. Definitely list worthy. Did you guys learn anything interesting in Potions class today?" I asked. Avery started to clean up her materials and I helped out as well. "Nothing too interesting. Just some potions on how to heal sick people. Oh, but I did see something interesting indeed. I saw you looked at Lily and that Potter fellow for a while. Tell me again, why do you fancy that Mudb--" Mulciber started.

"Don't call her that! You don't even know her." I said standing up in anger with my hands in tight fists at my sides.

"Oh yeah?" He said and stood in front of me. "What are you going to do about it? Hurt me? Threaten me? You can't do anything." He said while moving closer to my face. "Not now! Guys calm down! Mulci, you know you can't say that about Lily! and Sevie! You can't get too mad. Lily isn't worth it." She said and gently pulled both of our arms down. We both sat down quietly but kept our menacing stare on each other. Neither one of us wanted to started a fight.

"You're right. She isn't worth it." Mulciber mumbled as he gave me a side smile.

"Whatever. I don't want to fight." I said looking to my left and picked up the burnt leaf.

"Right..." Mulciber said.

"I think it's time to go back. Well Sevie, I'm glad I helped add another one to your list! may I see it again once we get back to the dormitories?" Avery asked earnestly.

"All right." I said looking at her and gave her a quick smile.

She turned her head to the side quickly, but I saw her blush before she could hide it.

"I guess we'll go back then." Mulciber said.

All of us then turned around and walked back up to the Hogwarts building to the Slytherin Tower.
