Pov - Harry
After finishing our breakfast we started heading towards Diagon Alley. We are going to Gringotts first as Percy wanted to withdraw money. Dad has been acting weird with him. Initially he was very suspicious of Percy. I saw the I-don't-trust-you look on him. But now he is very much interested in him.
I don't have any problem with Percy. He seems like a nice guy. He is polite. In fact he is alone. He didn't have anyone with him. Usually when kids shop with their parents for school. But he is all alone and he doesn't seem to know his way around here. He also mentioned he is from America. Did he come here all alone from America?
"So Percy. You came alone?" I asked. I am curious to know.
"Yeah" he said as if it is normal for a thirteen-year old to be alone in a foreign country buying school stuff.
"Your mom and dad let you alone in an unknown place all alone?" I asked. This seemed to have gained dad and stef's interest. Percy also looked nervous like he doesn't want to talk about it.
"My dad's not really around and my mom wanted to come but she couldn't....." He trailed off. As if he didn't want to continue. I looked at my dad and Stef. Stef slightly shaked her head asking me not to continue this conversation. We reached Gringotts.
We entered into Gringotts and went to the goblin. "We would like to make a withdrawal from our respective vault." Dad said.
"Names please." The goblin said.
James Potter and...." He looked at Percy. Percy was looking her and there around the bank. He was admiring the surrounding.
Wait a minute.
He is admiring a bunch of grumpy looking goblins?
I nudged him and whispered " They are asking your name for withdrawal."
He looked back at us slightly embarrassed and said "Ahm yeah it's Perseus Jackson."
"So Percy is short for Perseus?" I asked.
"Yeah"
Before I could ask something the goblin interrupted us. "Mr. Jackson do you have your key?"
"Oh yeah." He took a key out of the backpack he carried with him. He handed the key to the goblin. The goblin also took the key from dad and asked us to follow him.
We sat on the cart and it started going down the steep way. The cart started gaining speed and had a lot of twists and turns like a maze. The cart was so fast that I could literally feel it cutting through the air. I started screaming like hell. But I was not the only one who was screaming. Percy was also screaming.
Damn he is scared.
He is taking deep breaths and he looks really scared. The cart came to a halt at vault 658. Griphook the goblin opens the vault. It had small heaps of galleons, sickles and Knuts. Percy took a bunch of all of them.
After that we went to our walt and made a withdrawal.
When we came out of the tunnel Percy was shivering.
"I just don't do well with underground places that are too deep."
"It's ok kid. It's over come on we'll get you a milkshake before going for school shopping. What do you say."
Percy just nodded his head. He is still scared. I can see it.

Pov - Percy
To say I was scared would be an understatement. I was freaking terrified. That tunnel was so deep and dark. It reminded me of Tartarus. When I was in the underworld, I peaked into Tartarus. It looked like a dark endless pit. Grover and I almost fell into it.

I know the tunnel was not as deep as Tartarus. It cannot even come close. But it did remind me of it and that was scary. I was basically shivering. That's why stef suggested we go get a milkshake. I got myself a blueberry one.
Blue food.
Makes me feel like mom is here.
I got all my books and robes along with Harry. One book looks really scary. When I tried to open it almost bit my hand off. They named it right.
The monster book of monsters.
Now I have to get a wand. Apparently Wizards can only use magic with a wand. They can do magic without a wand only accidentally when their emotions are at peak. All of the Wizards show accidental magic by the age of ten. That's what Harry told me when I asked him. Some Wizards have muggles parents too.
Now I am going to Olivander's to buy my wand.when I entered. An old man who looked like Einstein came and said "You look quite old to be eleven but I don't remember selling you a wand. Are you getting your first wand now only Mr..."
"Jackson sir. Percy Jackson. And yes I didn't go to Hogwarts for the first two years due to some personal issues. I am joining my third year this year. So this is my first wand."
"Hmm. Interesting. Now Mr. Jackson please show me your hand."
I showed him my hand. He examined it and went inside. He bought back a long cardboard box of almost twelve inches and took a stick out of it. I took the stick from his hand and he said "Give it a wave."
So I waved it and water splashed from the plumbing all of a sudden. It fell all over me but I did not get wet. Mr. Olivander looked really shocked for a moment. "Oh! Merlin" he whispered under his breath.
He went inside in a hurry and came back with a long blue box. The box was well designed and it had a symbol of waves engraved in golden colour. The box was very dusty.
"Try this Mr. Jackson" he said taking a wand from the box.
I waved it and felt a comfortable warmth spread all over my body. I could smell the sea.
"I never thought I would see this day." He mumbled
"Excuse me sir?"
"A child of the big three in the Wizarding world. Oh Merlin!"
What the-
Did he just say a child of the big three.
He knows what I am.
Play it cool Percy.
"Big three? sir how do you-"
"You are not the first demigod I sold a wand Mr. Jackson. I can recognise a child of big three when I see one although I didn't expect to see one because of the oath. And a wand with hippocampus hair choose you. So I know who you are. I am honoured to meet you son of Poseidon."
My Jaws are literally on the floor. How does he know all about the demigod stuff. Before I could ask he himself answered that question.
"My mother was a daughter of Dionysus. She used to keep herself updated about the mythical world until she was alive so I know about the oath."
Wow so he is Mr.D's grandson. Wait most demigods die during their teenage years. I have never heard of demigods having children.
"I know what you are thinking about Mr.Jackson. Back in those days the Wizarding world was safe for demigods. The place is packed with Wizards their magical aura masks the scent of demigod. So-"
"The monsters cannot find us." I finished his sentence.
"They can." He took a pause and said "But occasionally. It's not as safe as camp half-blood. But much safer than the muggle world for demigods. So they survived longer than muggle demigods."
I gave a simple nod and said "Can you please keep the demigod thing a secret sir. Forbidden child and all. I don't think it's safe."
"Don't worry Mr. Jackson you secret is safe with me." He assured me. I paid him for the wand and left for Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour where the Potters are waiting for me.
I wonder why my mom took me away from this place if it's safer for demigods in the muggle world.
Also Mr. Olivander said 'back in the old days' which means it's not safe now.
If mom felt like the muggle world where monsters attack on a daily basis is better than the wizarding world where monsters only attacked occasionally then it means only one this...
Voldemort is the biggest monster of all.
