"She enters the room and it's kind of just like woah! Like sparkles appear around her" Yuji grinned as he played basketball with Inumaki whilst panda sunbathed

"Why wouldn't you?" panda questioned "you and her are pretty close and you definitely like her"
"Yeah but..i feel like she sees me as a good friend, or at worst a brother" Yuji sighed "plus she's from such a prestigious family, what if I gross her out? I mean, I eat a 1000-year-old guys fingers, why would she wanna deal with that?"
"Plus there's my execution.." he mumbled
"I don't think Mayumi cares about those things" Panda hummed
"Salmon roe" Toge agreed, Megumi suddenly walking into the room
"Are you talking about Mayumi again?" he asked
One thing about yuji was that he did not have a pockee face
"Whaaat, no!" he awkwardly grinned, panda and toge sneaking out
"Look itadori" Megumi sighed "I don't really mind this crush you have on my sister or how close you two are" Megumi admitted
"But once you collect all of the sukunas fingers you'll be executed, and how do you think that'll affect Yumi if you guys get together?" he reminded his best friend
"You're a great guy for her but, keep that in mind. Because I don't wanna see my sister get hurt" He nodded, waving goodbye to Yuji and leaving
"Who were you talking to?" Yuji could hear Mayumi's voice from the doors
"Just itadori" Megumi mumbled
"Yujis in there??" Mayumi smiled, peaking her head through the door
How could a girl he'd known for a few months make his heart flutter and ache at the same time?
"I was looking for you" Mayumi smiled, pushing her brother out of the way who gave Yuji one final look before making her way over to him
"Well I have two things to say" Mayumu hummed, yujis eyes never leaving her
"Firstly, I found this great karaoke place that you and Kugisaki would enjoy and secondly" she spoke, taking out a few graphic shirts
"You said the only reason you wear hoodies is because you don't know how to style right?" she reaffirmed "So while Kugisaki and I were out, I picked up these. I thought they'd suit you" She smiled
How could he avoid her?
"You really didn't have to Mayumi! But these shirts are awesome" he grinned, taking them out of her hands
"Are you okay itadori? Do you not like them?" she asked
"Huh? No I love them! What makes you think otherwise?"
"Well, you just seem a bit, off" she admitted
"It's nothing" Yuji smiled "just thinking about my, uh, my execution! Hope it's not painful" Yuji snickered only to be met with Mayumis concerned face
"Yuji, next time you feel like that, don't hold it in" she frowned "what good will that do?"
"And besides. You're not gonna get executed, I'll..hide sukunas fingers" she nodded to herself "or we can run away, to Europe, or America! Yeah..we could go to France, I know some French" Mayumi clicked her fingers
"You'd do that for me?" yuji blinked
"Of course, other than my siblings, maki, and our friends Gojo and Naoshi, I don't really have anyone in my life that I value" Mayumi admitted
"Actually, we could always just..take out the higher ups" she shrugged
"Whaat?? That's crazy!" yuji gasped
"Dont rule it out yet!" Mayumi reasoned, the two walking out of the hall together
"Itadoris have been off lately" Mayumi hummed as she and Megumi watched tv, "I think it's because of his execution"
"He talked to you about that?" Megumi asked with wide eyes
"Not really" She mumbled "I wish he would though" she sighed, megumi pursing his lips together
"What's the point of getting so close to him? If anything it seems like you like him"
"Huh??"
"I'm just saying, when he does get executed, you'll be a mess" Megumi shrugged
"Are you telling me I should stop talking to him? I don't see anyone else doing that" Mayumi frowned
"Well no one else thinks of him the same way you do"
"What are you talking about? Even if it was like that I'm not gonna abandon Yuji, I wanna be there for him, and you should too" She huffed, getting up and making her way to the door
"Where are you going?"
"To my room!" That was a lie, she was going to visit tsumiki
"Close the door!" Megumi yelled, Mayumi giving him a middle finger
"I'm just trying to warn her" he grumbled as he got up and closed the door
"So then you press shift on your calculator, then tan and it should come up as tan minus one" Mayumi instructed
"Mhm" Yuji who was busy admiring how concentrated she was whilst helping him with his homework nodded along
"Shes so smart.." he thought
"After that you press the fractions button, put 4/5 in and close the bracket, then you'll get 38.65980625" she smiled "but this question asks you to round it to the nearest one decimal place so you'll round it to 38.7" She nodded
"Yeah.." yuji hummed
"He not even listening" Megumi scowled, having been helping nobara who was trying to hold in her laughs
"Huh?! Of course he was!" Mayumi frowned "weren't you yuji??"
"Huh?? Of course I was!" he nodded
"Then try this question on your own" Megumi stated, Yuji stared at the question for a good five minutes before looking back at Mayumi with puppy eyes"
"Could you please explain it again?"
"Whos room are we watching a movie at today?" Nobara asked as the first years watched the second years train along with Mayumi who was talking to maki
"Its itadoris turn right?" Megumi questioned
"It is??" yuji gasped
"Oh yeah" Nobara hummed "you're room better not be messy itadori" she scowled, Yuji nodding, his mind was in a completely different place
"This is he first time I'll have Mayumi over.."
"I need to get rid of the poster!"
"Woah Yuji this is your room? How come it's larger than mine" Mayumi hummed as she sat down on Yuji's bed, the pink-haired male giving her a huge goofy grin
"Amdnits cleaner than I thought it'd be" Nobata muttered, Megumi humming in agreement "Wait.." he frowned
"Itadori, what happened to your pin-up?" he asked, pointing to the place where it should've been
"Oh yeah!" nobara gasped
"What pin up?? I've never had one of those" yuji said in an appalled tone
"Oh yeah, it was a blonde woman wasn't it?" Mayumi questioned, yuji practically screeching
"When did you see that?!"
"When Megumi and I cleaned up your room, after we thought you'd..you know" She answered, Megumi letting out a groan
"Oh my days!" nobara gasped in realisation, both her and Megumi picking up on it
"Itadori did you remove the pin up poster so that Mayumi wouldn't see it?" Megumi questioned "gross"
"I think it's cute!" nobara laughed, Yuki standing there pink-faced and quiet
"Yuji" Mayumi called out, yuji wishing the ground would swallow him "just because I'm from some prestigious clan doesn't mean I'd look down on you for having one of those" She said I'm a clam tone, taking his hand
"But I appreciate the effort"
"Oh she didn't get it" all three of her friends thought, yuni giving her a huge smile
"I'm glad! But don't worry I had other reasons for taking it down" he reassured her
"Like what?" Mayumi blinked, tilting her head, the ability to form a sentence seemingly leaving Yuji
"Hey." Megumi spoke "We found a movie"
"You know, you didn't have to walk me back to my dorm" Mayumi hummed as she and Yuji reached her door
"I know..but there was actually something I wanted to give you, I just..you know was looking for the right time" Yuji grinned
"What is it?" Mayumi raised an eyebrow, Yuji nearly backtracking
Instead of speaking, he just shoved the small plush in her face, avoiding eye contact with the surprised zenin
"I saw it and thought you'd like it, but then your cousin got you that giant one at the exchange event and then another one after your mission so... I couldn't think of a right time to give it to you" He admitted, still refusing to look Mayumi in the eye
"Yuji.." Mayumi blinked, taking the gift out of his hands "have you been holding onto this gift sjnve the exchange event?"
"Yeah.."
"Is that what you wanted to give me that day?"
"..yeah" he sighed
"So then, did you actually remove that pin-up poster because of me?" she slightly smiled, a shaky an awkward one that could be mistaken as weirded-out
"Yes, I'm sorry" He mumbled "you're just really cool and strong and really, really pretty and you have this elegance to you that just makes me go wow! And..im sorry if this is weird, I just really like you Mayumi" He confessed
There was this silence after his words that only made him feel more regret, had he just ruined their friendship? Of course he had! Now how would he look at her?
"Forget I said any—" he began before Mayumi grabbed his face, pulling him into a quick but meaningful kiss

It was so quick Yuji had no time to close his eyes, once Mayumi did she let out a small scream before jumping back, he'd never seen her that flustered
"Im sorry! I just didn't know what to say so I kinda just..but, I like you too yuji" She mumbled, a huge grin appearing on yujis face
"Really?" he smiled
"Im not gonna repeat myself" Mayumi sighed, finding herself unable to breathe as huji proceeded to give her a bone-crushing hug
"So does that mean we're?.." he asked, suddenly becoming bashful, a warm and endearing smile appearing on mayumis face
"Yes yuji, we're dating"
