Naira opened the door and her eyes were shocked to see the sight of Naitik Singhania at the door step with a boquet in hands but what shocked her more was the smile on his lips.

Was he really Naitik Singhania? Her mind questioned her as she stood rooted to her spot, her heart pounding in her chest as she stared at the figure standing on her doorstep.

It was a few moments later when Naira broke free from her trance and found her voice, though it came out as a shaky whisper filled with disbelief.

"Mr Singhania aap yahan?" She asked in a voice laced with shock and confusion,

"Andhar bulake baat nahi karogi? Its our tradition to welcome even an enemy when he comes as a guest..tumhari nana nani ne itna toh sanskar diya hoga" Naitik said in an unusually sugar coated voice

"Andhar aajao" Vishambhar's voice bellowed from inside

"See...your Nanu is calling me...lets sit and talk" said Naitik and walked inside

With him striding into the house, Aryan and Naksh got up and instinctively moved to Naira, their concern evident in their expressions. They exchanged knowing glances, silently affirming their support for Naira in the face of Naitik's unexpected arrival. Naksh held her hand while Aryan stood close behind her thus conveying their solidarity and reminding her that she wasn't alone.

Following Naitik into the living room, the trio exchanged subtle glances, their unspoken communication echoing their shared apprehension about his visit.

Meanwhile Naitik took in the opulent surroundings of her home, his eyes betraying a mix of surprise and discomfort. The sight of her thriving in such luxury, despite his earlier dismissals of her talents and capabilities , left him visibly shaken. However, he maintained a facade of composure, his smile masking the turmoil of emotions swirling within him.

With a practiced ease, he settled onto the sofa beside Vishambar, his gaze lingering on Naira who came and stood with Keerthi and Akshu. Abhi and Aryan took their position beside the girls while Naksh sat down near Nani. Despite the outward calm, the tension in the room was palpable, each member present there silently grappling with their own thoughts and uncertainties.

"Kyu aaye ho yahan?" Asked Rajshri breaking the silence

"Well...Ill come straight to the point, I have brought a marriage proposal for Naira" said Naitik

Naira's expression shifted from confusion to utter disgust as the weight of his words sinked in. The audacity of Naitik's sudden proposition struck a nerve, igniting a firestorm of emotions within her.

Abhi, Naksh, and Aryan bristled with anger at Naitik's brazenness, their jaws clenched in barely contained fury. They struggled to comprehend how he could have the gall to bring forth such a proposal after all that he had done to Naira Akshu and Keerti, sensing the tension in the room, exchange worried glances, their concern etched on their faces as they held Naira's hands in a firm grip. Nanu and Nani felt a deep sense of unease, grappling with the implications of Naitik's unexpected visit and his shocking announcement.

Amidst the charged atmosphere, Naira's feelings of betrayal and indignation threatened to overwhelm her. She struggled to maintain her composure, her mind reeling with disbelief at Naitik's audacious actions.

"You must be kidding" chuckled Naksh his sarcastic remark cutting through the tension in the room

"Whats there to be kidding here? Baap hoon mein aur baap ka farz hai beti ki umar aathe hi uskeliye rishta dekhna" said Naitik unfazed by the scepticism

"Baap ka farz ? Baap ka farz mein beti ko paalna..usko pyar dena..uski choti badi kushiyon kha khayal rakhna yeh sab bhi aatha hai..." Rajshri's chuckle carried a hint of bitterness

"Naira...Ranveer Oberoi tumse pyar karta hai...and wants to marry you right?" Asked Naitik ignoring the barbs directed at him and diverting his attention to Naira

"Aapko kaise?" Muttered Naira

"Producer hoon..shooting spot ka khabar raktha hoon...isiliye uska ka proposal laya hoon..from here Ill go and talk to his parents and arrange your wedding" said Naitik

Hearing him Naksh and Aryan's minds drifted back to the incident etched vividly in their memories. They recalled Naira's frantic arrival at the shooting spot, breathless and visibly shaken, as she confided in them about Ranveer's unexpected proposal. At the time, Naksh had been perplexed by her distressed state, unaware of the depth of her emotions.

"The ones who told you about Ranveer's proposal would have also told about Naira's reaction chachu..still do you think this proposal is relevant?" Asked Naksh as now after meeting Kartik and knowing about their feelings for each other he had understood why Ranveer's proposal had rattled Naira so deeply

"Well I know about that she ran away. Afterall it must have been quite a shock for her, Ranveer Oberoi the son of the superstar proposing a small town girl like Naira so its quite natural that she ran away like a frightened deer, unable to comprehend how someone like him could even look at her in that way" said Naitik his every word coated with venom

Hearing Naitik Naksh's fists clenched tightly at his sides, his jaw locked in a silent battle against the urge to lunge at Naitik. How could a father speak such vile words to his own daughter? The sheer audacity of Naitik's mockery threatened to boil Naksh's blood, his muscles tensing with the effort to restrain himself.

"I so wish ki bade bhaiya yahan hote...he would have broken Mr Singhania's jaws at the utterance of his first word of mockery against Naira" muttered Aryan his eyes blazing in fury.

Abhi's eyes burned with a mixture of disgust and disbelief. He had always known Naitik to be cheap, but to witness him stoop so low and demean his own flesh and blood was beyond comprehension. If not for Akshu's calming presence with a gentle grip on his hand

Abhi would have been impulsive. Though his biceps were clenched in fury, Abhi forced himself to remain composed, his gaze never leaving Naitik's form as he seethed with a potent mixture of anger and disappointment.

"Im here as I clearly understood your inhibitions. I mean you are a mere speck of dust who could never hope to match a shining star like Ranveer Oberoi. Two movies aren't even worth a fraction of Oberoi's stardom. So Ill go and initiate the talks myself. After all, it's clear that you're too embarrassed to do so yourself. I must admit, I'm still baffled as to how someone like Ranveer could possibly love you. But since you've been presented with such a great opportunity, I won't let you waste it" Naitik continued his words spilling out like daggers and hurting Naira's self esteem and Abhi's mind raced, piecing together the puzzle of Naitik's true motives and his ploy became apparent.

With the threat of losing Naira from his production due to her contracts and outside projects, Naitik now saw a potential solution in the form of Naira's marriage to Ranveer. In forming ties with the Oberois, Naitik hoped to secure his own fortune, leveraging Naira's marriage as a means to safeguard his interests. The realization filled Abhi with a mixture of anger and disgust. How could a father be so callous, so willing to sacrifice his own daughter's happiness for the sake of his own ambition? It was a betrayal of the highest order, and Abhi couldn't stand by silently and watch as Naitik manipulated Naira's life for his own ends.

Before Abhi could react the atmosphere in the room crackled with tension as Vishambhar's hand made contact with Naitik's cheek, the resounding slap echoing through the air like a thunderclap. Naitik recoiled from the force of the blow, his hand instinctively rising to his stinging face, a look of shock mingling with indignation in his eyes.

"Bas Naitik...Bas you have crossed a line that should never have been approached. How dare you attempt to manipulate Naira's life for your own selfish gains?" Vishambar's voice cut through the air

"Tumne Naira bitiya ko tab choda tha jab usko tumhari sabse zyada zarurat thi. Uska poora bachpan maa baap ke bina unke pyar ke bina guzari thi usne..phir bhi phir bhi jab tumhe uski zarurat thi tab usne tumhara saath diya tha" Rajshri said her voice laced with disdain

"She sacrificed her own dreams to salvage your sinking production house, only to be met with ridicule and scorn from you. And now, you have the audacity to try and force her into a marriage she neither wants nor deserves, all for your own convenience" scoffed Vishambar

"Naira wasn't your blood by choice, yet she had shown so much more loyalty and support to save Singhania Production more than your loving daughter Sirat did. Is this how you repay her? If not as a daughter you should atleast treat her like a human being having her own thoughts and choice and not like a commodity" said Naksh

Naitik's facade of arrogance crumbled before the fury of them , yet he started to justify "Haan iss shaadi ki wajah se mujhe benefit milega so what? At least I'm doing something good for Naira. Woh Ranveer Oberoi ki biwi banegi...The Oberoi kaandaan ki ekloti bahu.. It's a marriage of such status that you people could never have dreamed of arranging for her. So I guess there is no scope for you rejecting this marriage proposal"

"Sorry to disappoint you Mr Singhania, I don't want to marry Ranveer. I have no feelings for him, and I cannot enter into a marriage without love" Naira spoke out her words reverberating through the room

Hearing her Naitik's laughter rang out harshly, a cruel sound that echoed off the walls of the room.

"Tum?...Tum Ranveer ko reject kar rahi ho? A small town girl like you who is nothing in front of him?" Naitik scoffed his voice dripping with disbelief

"Mein Ranveer se shaadi nahi karungi..its final Mr Singhania you can leave now" Naira replied with a steady voice and strong gaze

Abhi, Naksh, Aryan, Keerthi, and Akshu exchanged glances filled with joy and pride, their faces breaking into wide smiles at Naira's bold declaration.

"Yeh hui na sherni wala reply" Aryan muttered under his breath while his face was brimming with happiness to see Naira in her sherni form

Rajshri and Vishambhar looked on with pride shining in their eyes, their hearts swelling with admiration for their granddaughter. They were happy to see Naira back to her strong and brave version.

"Suna nahi bitiya ne kya kaha? Ab jao nikhal jao" said Vishambar bringing Naitik out of his shock

Naitik's expression darkened at Naira's defiance, his eyes flashing with anger and frustration

"Mark my words, a day will come when you will regret this decision. Mujhe uss din ka hi intzaar hai jab tum apni tarah kisi pauper se shaadi karogi" sneered Naitik

"Jab woh din aayega tab mein khud aapko invite karungi..ab aap jaa sakthe hai" scoffed Naira

"Suna nahi bitiya ne kya kaha jao yahan se aur dobara iss aangan mein khadam rakhne ke baare mein sochna bhi mat" said Rajshri

"Galti meri hai...tumhari taqdeer badalne aaya tha...par sach toh yeh hai ki tumhari kismat ko koi badal nahi saktha...the kid that killed its mother right after its birth will always remain the source of darkness..and you just proved it right" Naitik spat out as he got up

Just like anyother time he had used Akshara's death to taunt Naira as he ran short of words to demean her. Before Naira could take in his words Vishambar spoke "Akshara ki maut ki kaaran Naira nahi hai..balki galti meri hai, mujhe apni beti ka haath tuj jaise andh vishwas rakhne wale ko nahi dena chahiye tha...agar tumne uss fake astrologer ki baath mein aakar Akshara ki surgery keliye mana nahi kiya hota toh aaj meri beti zindagi hoti...isiliye apni karmon ka blame tum meri Naira par lagana band karo aur nikhal jao"

Just as Vishambar's filled the air, Naksh stepped forward and swung the door open, gesturing for Naitik to make his exit. There was no need for words , the message "GET OUT" was evident

His breaths coming out like a snake who had lost a battle Naitik stormed out of the house. As Naksh slammed the door behind his back a collective sigh of relief spread across the room.

"Waah aaj bohot dinon baad apni sherni ka darshan praapt hua" chuckled Aryan trying to ease out the environment

"Haan...and we are so proud to see how you handled Chachu" said Naksh

"Sab jeeju ki aane ka asar hai..." chuckled Akshu

"Waise Akshu is right...it was Bade bhaiya who healed her trauma..bringing back the sherni that she is" said Aryan

"Sab log itni udaas mat rahiye...aaj Kartik aur Naira ki shaadi ki baat pakki hui hai...kushi ka din hai isko Naitik Singhania ki wajah se kharab nahi karenge" said Keerthi sensing the effect of Naitik's visit evident in everyone's dull face

"I agree with Keerthi di humein Mr Singhania pe nahi Naira di aur Kartik jiju ke shaadi ki preparations pe focus karna chahiye" said Akshu

"Haan aur nahi toh kya...ek mahine mein sagaai hai aur 3 mahine baad shaadi...bohot saari tayyari yan karna hai..." agreed Rajshri

"On that note ...this incident has been dealt with and will now be forgotten. Lets focus on the good part from now, what say?" Asked Abhi

"Yes this incident ko keh denge control alt delete" said Aryan and everyone chuckled in agreement

With everyone chattering happily Naira stood there totally silent

*******
Night, Terrace

Naira stood alone on the terrace, her silhouette cast against the canvas of the night sky. The crescent moon hung low on the horizon, its gentle glow bathing her in a soft, ethereal light. The stars above sparkled like scattered diamonds, their faint twinkle adding a touch of magic to the scene. Dressed in her comfortable night suit, she was a vision of serene beauty amidst the quietude of the evening. Her hair cascaded in loose waves around her shoulders, catching the faint shimmer of moonbeams as they danced upon each silky strand. A gentle breeze whispered through the night, causing her night suit to flutter softly against her frame as she stood lost in thought.

The events of the day had left her feeling both elated and unsettled, a whirlwind of happiness and turmoil swirling within her heart. The joy of their families' acceptance of their love and the prospect of their impending marriage filled her with a sense of euphoria, a warm glow that radiated from deep within her soul. Yet, amidst the celebrations and congratulations, there lingered a shadow of unease, a lingering discomfort brought on by Naitik's unexpected visit.

She had tried to reach Kartik after Naitik's departure, longing for his comforting presence and the solace of his embrace. But his phone had remained frustratingly unreachable, leaving her feeling adrift and alone in the midst of her conflicting emotions.

As she gazed up at the twinkling stars overhead, a soft sigh escaped her lips, carrying with it a whisper of longing and yearning. She missed Kartik deeply, his absence keenly felt in the quiet solitude of the night. The absence of Kartik beside her reignited memories of their earliest encounters, when their love was just beginning to blossom. In the soft glow of the moonlight, she found herself transported back to those magical moments when their paths first crossed.

2 years ago,in Mussorie the next morning after Kaira's cafe date

As the misty morning unfolded in the picturesque town of Mussorie, the aftermath of a gentle downpour from the night before lingered in the air. The mountain peaks stood shrouded in a soft veil of fog, their majestic forms barely visible against the hazy backdrop of the sky. The scent of wet earth and pine trees permeated the atmosphere, creating an aura of tranquility that enveloped the landscape. The sun, veiled behind a thick blanket of clouds and fog, cast a soft, diffused light over the mountainous terrain, painting the sky in muted hues of gray and silver. Wisps of mist danced gracefully among the treetops, lending an ethereal quality to the surroundings.

In the company garden, nestled amidst the lush greenery of the mountains, Naira could feel the cool dampness of the morning dew beneath her feet as she began her dance practice. Dressed in a flowing blue salwar that mirrored the serene hues of the surrounding landscape, she moved with grace and precision, her movements fluid and effortless as the music player played

Dha Na Dha Tatdha Tatdha
Dhi Titkit Dha
Dhi Titkit Dha
Dhin Tirakita Tirakita Dha
Dhin Tirakita Tirakita Dha
Dhin Tirakita Tirakita Dha
Dhin Tirakita Tirakita Dha
Dhin Tirakita Tirakita Dha

Mere Dholna Sun
Mere Pyaar Ki Dhun
Mere Dholna Sun

Surrounded by a few other girls from her dance school, Naira immersed herself in the rhythm of the music, her nimble feet gliding effortlessly across the damp grass. The gentle breeze whispered through the trees, carrying with it the soft strains of melody that echoed through the tranquil garden.

Dha|Tat Dhin Tirkit Dha Tirkit Dha Tirkit Dha
Dha|Tat Dhin Tirkit Dha Tirkit Dha Tirkit Dha
Dha|Tat Dhin Tirkit Dha Tirkit Dha Tirkit Dha
Mere Dholna Sun
Mere Pyaar Ki Dhun
Mere Dholna Sun

As she swayed to the rhythm of the music, Naira's movements were imbued with a sense of purpose and joy that seemed to emanate from within. Despite the presence of others around her, she danced as if in her own world, her spirit soaring with each graceful turn and fluid gesture.

Meri Chahte To
Fiza Mein Bahengi
Zinda Rahengi
Hoke Fana
Tana Na Na Tum
Tana Na Na Tum
Tana Na Na Tum
Tana Na Na Tum
Ta Na Dhi Re Ta Na Dhi Re Dhi Re Na

Her love for dancing was evident in every motion - from the delicate arch of her feet to the graceful sweep of her arms. With each step, she expressed a myriad of emotions - joy, longing, defiance - channeling them into her dance with unwavering passion and intensity.

Mere Dholna Sun
Mere Pyaar Ki Dhun
Mere Dholna...
Saathi Re Saathi Re Mar Ke Bhi Tujhko
Chahe Ga Dil Tujhe Hi Bechainiyon Mein Paayega Dil
Saathi Re Saathi Re Mar Ke Bhi Tujhko
Chahe Ga Dil Tujhe Hi Bechainiyon Mein Paayega Dil

Meanwhile, Kartik embarked on his morning jog through the verdant garden, clad in a sleeveless t-shirt and tracks despite the chill in the air. Beads of sweat adorned his glistening skin as he pounded the path with determination, his muscles flexing with each stride.

Unbeknownst to Kartik, his presence had not gone unnoticed by the other occupants of the garden. The girls who were engaged in their own exercises paused to steal glances at him, their eyes lingering on his sculpted biceps and chiseled physique.

However, Kartik remained oblivious to the attention he garnered, his focus unwavering as he pushed himself to complete his jog. It was only when the melodic sound of ghunghroo and the lilting strains of Mere Dholna song reached his ears that he came to a sudden halt.

Mere Kesuo Ki Saaye Mein
Teri Raahton Ki Khushboo Hai
Tere Begair Kya Jeena
Mere Rom Rom Mein Tu Hai
Meri Chudiyon Ki Khaan Khan Se
Teri Sada Aati Hai
Yeh Dooriyan Hamesha Hi Nazdik Kahan Bulati Hai
O Piya

~Sargam~

Intrigued, Kartik turned his gaze towards the source of the music and was met with a captivating sight. Amidst a group of girls dancing gracefully, his eyes immediately found Naira, her radiant presence standing out even amidst the crowd.

Mere Dholna Sun
Mere Pyaar Ki Dhun
Mere Dholna...

Naira's hands moved with a delicate grace, weaving intricate patterns in the air as her feet tapped out rhythms that echoed softly against the ground. With each twirl and spin, she seemed to transport herself to another world, her expression serene yet filled with an undeniable joy.

Saason Mein Saason Mein Teri Sargame Hai Abb Raat Din
Zindagi Meri To Kuch Na Abb Tere Bin
Saason Mein Saason Mein Teri Sargame Hai Abb Raat Din
Zindagi Meri To Kuch Na Abb Tere Bin
Teri Dhadkon Ki Sargoshi
Meri Dhadkano Mein Bajti Hai

For Kartik who stood there watching Naira's dance it was akin to witnessing poetry in motion. As he observed her, his heart couldn't help but skip a beat, and a warmth spread through his cheeks, tinting them with a rosy hue. Despite the chill in the air, he felt a comforting warmth envelop him, emanating from the sheer beauty of Naira's performance. A foolish grin spread across Kartik's face, his eyes never leaving Naira as he drank in every moment of her dance. In that instant, amidst the misty morning backdrop, she seemed to glow with an otherworldly radiance, captivating his heart and soul in a way that words could scarcely describe.

Meri Jagti Nigahon Mein
Khwaaish Teri Hi Sajti Hai
Meri Khayaal Mein Har Pal
Tere Khyaal Shaamil Hai
Lamhe Judaiyon Wale Muskil Bade Hi Muskil Hai

When Naira gracefully twirled to the music, her movements becoming increasingly intricate and mesmerizing, she found herself momentarily losing her balance. With the mist swirling around them, obscuring the garden in a dreamlike haze, she stumbled, her feet faltering beneath her.

O Piya.......

Before she could hit the ground, Kartik, who had been watching her with rapt attention, reacted instinctively. With swift reflexes, he lunged forward, his arms outstretched to catch her. His touch was gentle yet firm, as he encircled her waist, pulling her close to him in a protective embrace.

The world around them faded into the background, leaving only the two of them locked in a silent exchange of emotions. Despite the chill of the morning air, their proximity radiated warmth, enveloping them in a cocoon of intimacy amidst the misty surroundings.

Raahatein
Teri Baahon mein hai
Chaahey meri
Teri Raahon mein hai
Meri Lakheerin mein teri
Lakheerein mile iss tarah
Jaise sagar se milne ko barsi
Ho boonde yuhi bewaja

The fog lent an air of enchantment to the scene, casting a soft, diffused light that accentuated the tender connection between Kartik and Naira. As they stood entwined, lost in each other's gaze, the atmosphere became imbued with a sense of romance, as if the very essence of their love had manifested in the ethereal beauty of the misty morning.

O more saiyaan
Naino mein tuhi basey
O more saiyaan
Lag ja tu aakhe gale

-*-*-*-*-*-*

Snap she was suddenly jolted back to reality by the sensation of arms encircling her from behind. At first, a surge of fear coursed through her veins, her heart pounding wildly in her chest at the unexpected embrace.

However, her apprehension swiftly melted away as she heard Kartik's familiar voice, his warm breath brushing against her ear as he whispered softly "Jaan where were you lost?" His words sent a shiver down her spine, and she felt her cheeks flush with a rosy hue. Slowly, he turned her around to face him, his gaze penetrating yet tender, as if searching her soul for answers. He leaned in closer, making their breaths mingle in the cool night air, and silently urged her to respond with a subtle raise of his eyebrows.

Caught off guard by his proximity and the intensity of his gaze, Naira felt her cheeks flush with warmth, her heart fluttering in her chest. Unable to form coherent words in response to his question, she could only bite her lip nervously and lower her gaze, her eyes conveying the depth of her emotions more eloquently than any words could.

Smiling softly Kartik slowly lifted her face, gently cradling her chin in his hand making Naira feel a rush of warmth flooding her cheeks, painting them in a delicate shade of pink. In that moment , a playful breeze swept through the terrace, teasing a few strands of Naira's hair and causing them to dance around her face like whimsical tendrils.

Just then, the crescent moon above them seemed to mirror their intimate moment. As if on cue, the moon was enveloped by a passing cloud, its radiant light momentarily obscured from view, much like Naira's shy smile hidden beneath the strands of her hair.

In that fleeting moment, Kartik found himself drawn to the parallels between Naira's blush and the moon's hidden splendor.

"Chaand chupa badal mein sharmake meri jaana" he whispered painting her cheeks in a deeper shade of crimson

With a shy smile playing on her lips, she instinctively buried her face in his chest, seeking refuge from the overwhelming rush of emotions coursing through her under his undetering gaze and flirtatious whispers. Nestled against him, she could feel the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, a comforting cadence that matched the gentle rise and fall of her own breath.

"Even the moon has hidden itself behind the clouds to give us a private space, ab toh meri sawal ka jawab dedo jaan" he said as his arms wrapped around her in a warm embrace

"Bas humari past ke baare mein soch rahi thi, uss din jab hum park pe mile the..." she finally admitted her cheeks darkening with a hue of crimson

"Agar past ke baare mein soch kar itna blush karti ho toh aage jaake kya hoga? Abh toh aur paas aana hai, tab kya karogi?" he whispered tenderly making her let out a soft gasp

"Tum ho na sambhal ne keliye..." she whispered slowly lifting her eyelids revealing the depth of her emotions reflected in the pools of her eyes.

Her lashes brushed against her cheeks as she looked up at him, the softness of her expression betraying the intensity of her feelings.

"Haan..par meri iss bechare dil par bhi thoda reham karo...aise blush karogi toh mein khud ko kaise sambhaloon?" He breathed out softly and placed a kiss on her forehead

"Waise tum..tum yahan kaise aaye the?" Naira asked after a few seconds as reality of where they were struck her suddenly

"Jaan tum bhool rahi ho ki iss ghar ki ek spare set of keys hai mere paas aur unn mein se terrace ki steps wala back gate ki keys bhi hai" he said

"Par tumhe kaise pata chala ki mein yahan hoon?" She asked

"Well I climbed up thinking that I could call you out to the terrace and surprise you but you surprised me instead" he said

"Par..." she was about to ask something when he slightly backed off as he still held on to their hug and placed a finger on her lips thus silencing her

"Shsh..kitni sawal karti ho tum? Aaj humari shaadi pakki hui hai Naira...yeh waqt celebrate karne ka hai sawal karne ka nahi" he said

"Waah yaad hai aapko ki humari shaadi fix hogayi hai? Aaj dopahar toh aisa nahi lag raha tha" Naira said pushing his hand off her in a swift motion

"Matlab?" He asked

"Matlab..lunch ke baad jab tum yaha se jaate hi mujhe bhool gaye the tum..aur ab achanak mein yaad aagayi tumhe" she scoffed

"Mein kuch samja nahi Naira...tum seedhe seedhe bata dho na ki baat kya hai" asked Kartik

"Teek hai...mein dopahar se tumhe call karne ki koshish kar rahi thi par tumhara phone toh un reachable tha...agar tumhe yaad hota ki tumhari shaadi pakki hui hai toh tum aise nahi karte" said Naira

"Its not like that Jaan...woh ek bohot zaruri meeting tha isiliye mobile airplane mode mein tha...Im sorry..par yeh pehli baar nahi ho raha hai..iss ke pehle bhi kahi baar meri mobile out of reach tha...phir aaj achanak kya hogaya? Tum itni pareshan kyu hogayi?" He asked

"Kyunki aaj mujhe tumhari zarurat sabse zyada thi...par nahi tumhe meri khadar hi nahi hai" she said averting her gaze off his

"Naira...bacha...kuch hua hai kya?" He asked with a furrowed brow and a soft tone

"Haan...woh tumhare jaane ke baad Mr Singhania yahan aaye the..." she said trying hard to fight back her tears that were threatening to spill out any minute

Fury surged through Kartik's veins like wildfire as he processed the news of Naitik's unwelcome visit. His jaw clenched, muscles tensing beneath the fabric of his shirt, his arms instinctively tightening around Naira who was nestled in his embrace.

"Woh aadmi yahan? What the hell does he want now" He muttered under his breath

"He wanted me to marry Ranveer" Naira's voice trembled with emotion as she explained the happenings her control slipping away like grains of sand through her fingers. Tears started cascading down her cheeks in silent streams.

She buried her face against his chest, seeking comfort in the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, as the tears continued to flow, mingling with the fabric of Kartik's shirt,

"Waah meri Jaan..tumne toh bilkul meri sherni ki tarah usko handle kiya hai...phir ab kyu ro rahi ho?" He asked slowly cupping her cheek

"Aaj kushi ka din haai aaj aake aise bad dua dena zaruri tha kya? Meine unka kya bigada hai? Mujse itni nafrat kyu karte hai Kartik woh? Bhagwan ne toh mumma ko mujse cheen liye aur papa..papa hote hue bhi muje apni beti nahi maanthe..." She sobbed pouring out all those emotions she had been stacking up since afternoon

"Yeh toh actually kush hone ki baat hai Naira..ab dekho Naitik ne toh Sirat ko apna beti maana hai usko pyar diya aur uska result tum dekh sakthi ho..woh kitni badtameez aur bigdi hui hai..par tum aise nahi ho kyunki tumhari parvarish nanu nani ne kiya hai..maana ki woh tumhari grandparents hai par unhone tumhe kabhi bhi parents kami mehsoos hone nahi diya...tum bohot lucky ho isiliye tumhe unka pyar mila...isliye ab rona band kardo..Naitik isn't worth your tears" he said softly wiping her tears his touch soft and reassuring against her damp cheeks

"You are right, mein sach mein bohot lucky hoon isiliye toh mujhe tum mile ho " she said slightly pulling back just enough looking into his eyes

"Tumne apna jawab dediya na Naitik ko...toh bas uss baat ko bhool jao...as you said aaj kushi ka din hai humari shaadi pakki hui hai...isiliye aaj ki din ko celebrate karna toh banta hai...kyu na hum kuch meethe se iss din ko aur iss shaam ko celebrate karein?" He asked gently leaning towards her.

Naira's heart quickened with anticipation, her breath hitching slightly as she felt the warmth of his presence drawing nearer. With a soft exhale, she closed her eyes, surrendering to the tender moment that hung between them.

Khwaab Hai Tu Neend Hoon Main
Dono Milen Raat Bane

Her cheeks flushed with a rosy hue, a silent testament to the flurry of emotions that danced within her. Each delicate brush of his breath against her skin sent a ripple of excitement coursing through her veins, igniting a fire that blazed brightly in the depths of her soul.

Roz Yehi Maangun Dua
Teri Meri Baat Bane

Kartik carefully retrieved a chocolate cake from the bag placed on the parapet wall and withdrew slightly when he noticed Naira's grip on his shirt, her fingers curling instinctively as if seeking an anchor in the midst of swirling emotions. With His heart racing with a mixture of nerves and anticipation and his pulse echoing in his ears , he tried to steady his breathing as he whispered "Lagta hai tumhari khayal kahi aur ja rahi jaan" flirtatiously

Main Rang Sharbaton Ka
Tu Meethe Ghaat Ka Paani

Hearing him Naira opened her eyes and her cheeks flushed with embarrassment when she found herself face to face with the chocolate cake in Kartik's hand. Quickly averting her gaze, she felt a wave of heat flood her cheeks, her heart fluttering with embarrassment of what she had just thought . She bit her lip, fighting back the urge to look at him, afraid of what she might see in his eyes.

Main Rang Sharbaton Ka
Tu Meethe Ghaat Ka Paani

Meanwhile, Kartik's smile softened as he watched her reaction, his heart swelling with affection. He could sense her embarrassment, yet he couldn't help but find her adorable in that moment. With a gentle chuckle, he reached out to tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear, his touch light and tender.

Mujhe Khud Mein Ghol De To
Mere Yaar Baat Ban Jaani

"Tum bhi na" she muttered playfully hitting his chest

"Mein bhi kya! Khayal aapka kahi aur jaa rahe hai aur blame mujhe kar rahi ho" he said indignantly

"Tumne pehle kaha kyu nahi ki tum mere liye chocolate cake laaye ho" she asked trying to divert the conversation

"Kaha toh tha ki kuch meethe se celebrate karenge..par agar tumhe woh wala meetha chahiye toh mein" he said as he playfully leaned forward to bridge the gap between them when she felt a rush of emotions and broke out of his embrace, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and nervousness.

Main Rang Sharbaton Ka
Tu Meethe Ghaat Ka Paani
Main Rang Sharbaton Ka
Tu Meethe Ghaat Ka Paani

But before she could go any further, he swiftly reached out and grabbed her hand, stopping her in her tracks.

With her heart pounding in her chest, she felt a tug as he gently pulled her back towards him. She stumbled slightly, her breath catching as she came crashing into his embrace, their bodies pressed close together, their faces mere inches apart, lips tantalizingly close yet not quite touching. The tension between them was palpable, as they gazed into each other's eyes, both feeling the electric spark of their proximity.

Tere Khalayon Se
Tere Khayalon Tak
Mera Toh Hai Aana Jaana

As he chuckled, his chest rumbled, the sound resonating through the night air, creating a harmonious melody that seemed to echo the rhythm of their hearts. For Naira, the effect was immediate and profound. It was as though the warmth emanating from Kartik's chest spread through her entire being, igniting a pool of warmth in the depths of her core.
