"Toge you're up" Saeri spoke as she yanked pandas training stick out of his hand after this sparing match with her
"Salmon roe" Toge spoke, making a T sign with his hands
"Fine then, could you pass me that chemistry textbook then?" Saeri asked maki who let out a groan "You already passed the super hard exam why are you still studying" She sighed "let's go do something fun"
"The real exams are in 82 days, I can't afford to stop studying" Saeri reminded her best friend "Plus, I have all this sorcerer shit to do so there's no free time" She grumbled
"I didn't think we did that many tests at jujutsu tech" Yuta inquired from beside the two girls
"We don't" Maki sighed "but the last thing Saeri here wants is to be a jujutsu sorcerer for life so she's studying in order to go into the medical field"
"Really??" Yuta gasped "That's super impressive"
"Thank you" Saeri hummed
"So when you do become one, will you take over ieris place?"
"No" Saeri shook her head "I want to become a cardiologist"
"Ah.." he nodded, A cursed presence higher than the two students making itself known
"Yoo hoo! Eri!" Gojo called out, megumi and tsumiki standing next to him, as usual megumi wore a grumpy expression whilst tsumiki wore a huge smile
"Saeri" the brunette smiled, giving Saeri a bone crushing hug
"I thought you guys still had school?" Saeri said in a confused tone
"Megumi got suspended again" Tsumiki grumbled, megumi kicking a pebble on the ground
"Fighting?"
"Yeah"
"Geez megumi when are you not fighting" Maki questioned
"You two are the ones who taught me how to" he reminded the two girls, Saeri sticking her tongue out
"That doesn't mean you should use it for something so reckless" She scoffed, hitting him over the head
"Anyways" She sighed, placing her book down "what are you two doing here?"
"We're here to watch you fight" Megumi stated, tsumiki kicking the back of his knee
"We heard there was a new classmate so we wanted to meet them, also we wanted to ask if you'd eat dinner at ours today" The brunette smiled
"Awe do you two miss me that much?" Saeri grinned, pinching the Fushiguro sibling's cheeks
"Quit acting like you're ten years older than us" Megumi huffed
"Hey I wasn't invited over" Gojo pouted
"Yes you were" Tsumiki sighed, a timid boy with a cursed energy output so potent even Tsumiki could acknowledge it approaching the two
Megumi was quick to summon his divine dogs only for maki to outstretch a hand
"Don't attack, that's the new first year"
"Huh?" The siblings blinked, Yuta holding up an awkward thumbs up
"Actually!" Gojo spoke up making all the students turn around "before we go out for dinner, Saeri, Yuta you guys have a mission"
"Another mission?" Yuta gasped, Saeri simply took off her glasses and wiped them against her sleeve, placing them back on
"How long do you think it'll take? I was supposed to work with shoko today" She frowned
"Shouldn't take too long" Gojo shrugged "and if it does, yuta can just tag along with us to dinner" He grinned, Saeri glancing at yuta
"Okay." She nodded

"It's nothing too bad, locals have just been complaining about a weird presence near an abandoned lake house" Gojo spoke as the three of them got out of the car
"We sent two grade two sorcerers to check it out but they nearly died leading us to believe this is atleast a grade one curse" he hummed
"That sounds bad.." yuta muttered
"It is" Saeri nodded
"To give you a perspective Yuta, that curse you and maki fought was around grade two, you're now dealing with either a grade one curse or a special grade curse" Gojo hummed
"Then why are you sending students??" Yuta yelled
"Eris more than capable of dealing with it" Satoru smiled "even then, I'll be watching incase something goes wrong"
"No you won't" Saeri spoke up, Satoru giving her a confused 'huh?'
"Satoru did you forget? You have a meeting with the higher-ups today, you're supposed to discuss how I and now Yutas curses are doing"
"Oh right!" Gojo gasped, yuta feeling slightly appalled by his teachers lack of organisation
"Honestly, what would I do without you sweet Eri" he smiled, patting the girl's head
"You'd be just fine satoru" She sighed, bringing her hands up
"Emerge from darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure"
"She has one of those veils?" Yuta thought as he watched the sky turn a misty blue
"Be safe!" Gojo called out, eventually being covered by the veil
"Will we be alright? I mean, this curse does sound dangerous" Yuta frowned as he and Saeri made their way through the home
"Yuta, we'll be fine we're the same grade" She reassured him
"Special grade?"
"Yes, we're expected to be able to take care of these type of curses" She hummed
"We are?? Saeri I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to do that" He slightly chuckled
"Of course, you will" she nodded "Satorus a great teacher even though he acts like a complete idiot, I believe you can become a great sorcerer"
"You do?" He blinked
"Mhm, once you free rikas soul then nothing is holding you back" She smiled, her expression morphing into a concentrated one as she pulled yuta out of the way, a curse bursting through the building forcing her to pick up her fellow special grade and jump out, a giant skeletal arm catching both of them and placing the down
"Was that her curse?.." yuta thought as he watched Saeri take out her sword, the curse, which took the form of a watery beast standing infront of them
"It's huge!" Yuta gasped, reaching for his ring before Saeri grabbed his hand
"Do you want to be executed?" She asks him "Even if you exorcise this curse, releasing Rika without their permission gives the higher-ups an easy opportunity to get rid of you"
"Then what should I do?" He questioned
"Just watch for now yuta" Saeri spoke as she took out her blade, it was a regular katana, but she held it with such anger that thought she'd break it
"Scream! Hensetsu!" Saeri yelled, yuta watching as her sword took a rectangular shape with four diamonds running across it
"Woah.." Yuta muttered as he watched Saeri take a step forward before disappearing, his eyes eventually finding her behind the curse, the younger geto running up the curse and cutting off its fingers before moving to its eyes and stabbing them, blinding the curse and allowing her to plunge her sword through ita back, dragging it down and jumping off
She then proceeded to cut its Achilles heels making it fall down, finally, she ran her sword across its nape cutting deep enough that a now giant and monstrous skeletal curse was able to rip off its head and feast on it
"So that's her curses full form.." Yuta muttered as he watched the curse retern to Saeri who's sword returned to its original size and shape allowing her to put it back in its Sash
"Geto that was amazing!" Yuta gasped, running towards the girl
"I'm glad you're impressed" she smiled "I'll admit I dragged the fight out so you'd be able to see my abilities"
"I'm happy you did, that was so cool!" Yuta stated, practically shaking the life out of Saeri as the veil dispersed
"Thank you it really isn't—" Saeri began before a vaguely familiar cursed presence caught her attention, her face going pale
Yuat who thought he had shaken her too much immediately backed off and apologised only for Saeri to grab his hand and run out of the area towards a nearby park
"What was that?" Yuta blinked, worried she'd seen something alarming
"Oh I just didn't want to be there anymore, we can wait for Ijichi to pick us up from here" Saeri smiled, yuta didn't fully believe her but he trusted her
"So Eris is alive, and she has a cursed technique" a certain dark-haired male hummed as he watched the two first years from the upstairs window
"How wonderful!"

"So you've lived with Gojo since you were six?" Yuta gasped, Saeri nodding
"That sound like a blessing and a curse" He laughed
"Satorus a lot" Saeri agreed, a small smile appearing on her face "but he's still the best in my opinion"
"Don't tell him I said that though, he'd never let me hear the end of it"
"I can see that happening" Yuta noted "Actually can I ask you something?"
"Sure"
"Do you think you'd be able to help me imbue my cursed energy into my katana? You seem T be a master at it" he smiled
"Of course, I can" Saeri agreed "but it might be harder for you than it was for me"
"How come?"
"My katana, hensetsu and I are linked" She spoke, yutas face telling her to go on
"This is the sword that injured me" She revealed, her hand tracing the sword
"No wonder you held it with such anger" Yuta gasped
"Did I?? I didn't know it was that obvious" she said, a hint of embarrassment in her tone
"But that injury led to me developing my cursed technique"
"What is you cursed technique? I don't think you used it" Yuta voiced
"My technique allows me to deflect any attack sent my way back to its sender, It works on anyone and anything, other than Satoru due to his limitless" she hummed
"So if someone dropped a bomb on you it wouldn't affect you?"
"Nope" she yawned "and why is that the first example you thought of" Saeri laughed
"But I developed hensetsu after that incident, then satoru, shoko and principal yaga found me" She nodded
"Why use that sword?" Yuta asked
"Hm?"
"I mean..doesn't it just bring back bad memories? I can't imagine carrying around a weapon that was used to murder me" Yuta frowned "How did you overcome that?"
"I haven't" Saeri admitted, a big smile on her face
"But by keeping and using it, it feels like I'm giving my attacker a huge middle finger" She nodded
"I'll never fully be over that situation, I lost everything" She hummed "but at the same time it's a part of who I am, trying to conceal it would only cause me more stress and anger" She shrugged noticing yutas blatant staring
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing, I just really admire you Saeri, you're so headstrong and confident in what you do, plus you have your own dark past but you don't let it affect you in the way I let mine" He admitted
"In a way I'm jealous, I wanna be like you"
"Hey" Saeri said in a stern voice "you're fine just the way you are, and besides. I'm not over it myself yet, I just said I probably never will"
"Yeah but you don't act like how I do" Yuta reminded her
"Everyone responds to grief differently Yuta, you were left in a helpless position due to your curse isolating yourself from others in order to protect them, I can't imagine how that must've been"
"You're stronger than you give yourself credit for"
