" Fuwah."
My eyes open as I hear the sound of Sarah yawning. I look at her, who slept on my left side as she sits up from our deep sleep and she yawns again. Once she stretched her arms and her back, she noticed my stare, in an instant she turned to me and planted a kiss on my cheek. Once she had leaned back into her original position, she began to speak softly to me.
" Good morning, My Love."
Sarah smiled at me, seems she's in a very good mood.
" You seem really happy this morning, any reason why?"
Sarah leaned in and kissed me again. This time however, it was on my lips.
" 14 weeks, 5 days, 19 hours and 34 minutes, My Love."
" What that, Sarah?"
" The last time we did the deed, Darling."
" You've been counting the days since we last had sex?"
" You haven't?"
Sarah asked me a question and it seemed to me by her stare that there was a wrong answer to it. I can't help but notice that Anna was also staring at me as well.
" To be honest, yest and no. I've been so busy that I've been too tired to think about it, but last night it did. Right before we really got started."
" Time did start to fly by after that didn't it, My Love?"
" I barely remember anything besides the night air and you, Darling."
It seems my answer was correct. After we all woke up, we began to plan the day. Looking into the sky, it seems to be about 2 o-clock. We've slept in. I seem to recall the sun was just beginning to rise when we had finally tired each other out. Now that the sun was high in the sky, the first thing we did was remove the blanket we were sleeping in and changed back into our clothes that were strung around on the floor. Even though we were in late fall and nearing winter, it felt like we were waking up to a spring day. Once we had all changed back into our clothes, Anna began to speak as she deactivated the Barrier.
" Should we leave immediately?"
" I guess we should. My Love, can you open a portal to our room? I think we should all use our shower in the master bedroom."
Anna and Sarah were ready to head back home. It seems my wives wanted to bathe as soon as possible, which is understandable since to be honest... We kind of smell right now. But that is what happens after passing out after strenuous exercise. Once the Barrier came down fully, the chill of the late fall air attacked the 3 of us.
" Yeah, we should head back before we catch a cold."
I opened a portal by myself since I didn't want to disturb Paula. Also, I was in a hurry. Thankfully with the training I've done with my Mana Output, opening a portal back to our room with all 3 of us heading through it only costs me around 15% of my mana. With all of the training for it these past 2 months, I've finally reached the point where Sarah and Anna can head to Blackstone with me when I report to Warrick next time. But those were all things to think about another time.
" Let's head through, shall we?"
" Agreed."
Without any fuss, Sarah and Anna walked through the portal first then I followed suit and closed the portal behind us. It didn't take long for us to strip again and head to our shower. While different to the bath that we have, it's still something amazing to see. A shower with glass walls like a fish tank and with the unique aspects of magic the shower walls and ceiling shoot out water at the perfect temperature for us. While I don't agree with all of the excess the previous Lords had, I need to admit, the guy had the right idea about his hygiene.
" Well, if you're going to be like that, I guess this'll be more than just a shower, My Love."
" Darling..."
Of course, since all 3 of us took a shower together, I'm standing in close proximity with my wives, and we were all naked. One thing led to another, parts of us brush up against other parts of us as we wash ourselves and then I reacted.
" I mean... I guess the sound of the shower should mask the sound?"
I said the first thing that came into my head, judging by where Sarah and Anna's hands ventured, it's safe to say that they agreed with my observation. After a pleasant hour, we finally stepped out of our shower, smelling like citrus from the soap that my wives prefer, we got dressed and entered the dining room.
" Oh! Lord Matthew! Lady Sarah! Lady Anna! Good after-- Good Even---"
" Good current time to you to, Alan."
When we arrived, Alan, Brandon and Chris were sitting in the kitchen and had seen us enter the room. Seems they weren't busy. How enviable! The sun had begun to set so I understood the confusion about what time it was. Regardless, I came to the dining room for a reason. Quite simply, I was quite hungry. And if I was hungry, there's no way Sarah and Anna, who are Demons who could clear out a buffet in my world easily, were not. I looked back at the 3 butlers and began to speak.
" Is dinner started yet?"
" Ah, no Sir. Since you hadn't arrived, we figured that you would stay and extra day."
Chris answered my question. Seems we'll need to fend for ourselves today.
" Shall we look and see what's available?"
I turned to Sarah and Anna, and I could see the impatience for food beginning to rear its head. With a nod of their heads, we began to walk to the kitchen.
" I'll check the fridge, you both can check the pantry, I'm sure Jim has ingredients some-"
I paused as I noticed that there were 3 giant pots sitting on the stove with a low flame keeping them warm.
" Maybe we won't need to do that?"
Sarah and Anna rushed ahead and opened a pot.
" Ah, it's Cluster Chicken soup!"
Cluster Chicken is a C-ranked monster here in Gaia. They're basically chickens that are the size of cows. And looking at these pots on the stove, I think we found what we can eat. I moved closer to the pot, I saw cabbage, carrots, potatoes, turnips and broccoli floating in the soup broth. My guess was that Jim had an inkling that we'd take a while to come home and left this out for us. How nice of him. However, I realized we needed one more key ingredient for this meal. I turn my head to the butlers and ask an important question.
" Say, do either of you know if we have sandwich rolls?"
" Sandwich rolls? the round kind? Yes, there're some in the pantry. Would you like us to grab them for you?"
" Yes, grab as much as we have, since I think my wives will be dissatisfied if we don't have all of them."
All 3 of the butlers moved elegantly to the pantries around the kitchen and began to collect the rolls. As they did this, I turned to my wives and asked of them something I knew would be hard.
" Sarah, Anna, don't eat the soup just yet."
" What!"
" Why!?"
Disappointment filled their faces.
" Relax, just wait for me to finish out here. You'll understand. Here, go to the dining room, I'll be in with the food soon."
Sarah and Anna did as I asked, I then went to the fridge and pulled out a bowl that had a good amount of butter in it. As I brought it to the central table in the kitchen where the butlers had placed the rolls, I began to issue other commands as I slid the bowl of butter into the center of the table.
" Alan, Brandon, Chris, grab a knife each of you. Also, one of you grab me a knife as well. We're going to be cutting the rolls open and spreading this butter on them. Let's move quick before my wives decide to kill me, okay?"
" Understood, Lord Matthew!"
In unison they agreed to help me. In about 10 minutes, we had finished buttering up the 50 rolls that were on the table.
" Good now place the rolls in bowls and bring them to the table. Also, one of you help me bring in the pots of soup as well as some nice sized bowls."
They nodded to me, and we began the operation. Sarah and Anna were nearing their limits.
" Why did you 3 not include yourselves? Grab a bowl and some spoons! Eat with us, you helped prepare it!"
" Yes, Lord Matthew!"
Good, seems they're not as shy about sharing a table with us as the maids.
" Are you sure you want to share the table with them? My Love?"
" Why not? If they would do anything untoward, Anna will catch it. More importantly, let's eat!"
We served ourselves some soup and I began to explain the reason for the wait to Sarah and Anna.
" I'm aware that dipping bread into soup is something done here in Gaia, but you've never dipped buttered bread in soup before! I'm pretty sure this is the first time anyone in all of Gaia has done it! So, both of you dig in!"
" We're here, Lord Matthew!"
The butlers arrived as Sarah and Anna were already beginning to eat.
/BAM!/
" Lord Matthew!"
What sounds like the front door was slammed open before I could eat my meal. Sarah and Anna paid it no mind.
" I'm in here!"
Flare, Ruby's little sister came into the dining room.
" Lord Matthew! A strange man has visited us! He says his name is Lucas and he's Lady Anna's brother! What would you like to do!?"
I take in Flare's words, and I realize I wouldn't be able to eat my food now. I turn to a confused Anna and say one word with a stiff smile on my face while shrugging my shoulders.
" Surprise."
