"good morning." matt says in his morning voice, looking down at leilani. "hey." leilani smiles back. "how long have you been awake?" matt asks. "an hour." leilani shrugs, sitting up.
"okay." matt mumbles. "you ready to go to school today?" matt asks, standing up and walking to his closet. "no." leilani speaks truthfully.
"it'll be okay." matt takes an outfit out of his closet. "but what if you get detention or something? or worse what if you get expelled for a week." leilani asks.
"I'll take the detention. i'm not getting expelled cuz i'm not leaving you." matt explains. "should I wear this?" matt asks. "don't think about me. you've already caused enough problems because of me. and yes." leilani says.
"it's not because of you. it's for you." matt says simply before walking in his bathroom to change. leilani sighs and also walks to matt's closet.
she takes out camo pants and a random hoodie. she quickly changed in it and grabs her phone before going to the kitchen.
"good morning lani." nick smiles. "hey nick." leilani smiles back. "do you have any— uhhh. information onnnn— josh?" nick whispers his name but leilani could hear.
"oh my god do you like him?" leilani smiles widely. "no. I just think he's... cute." nick mumbles. "you're totally whipped." leilani smiles.
"I do." leilani says and nicks attention turns to her. "he is gay. I don't know if he has any interest in anyone right now, I know he's a good guy since I'm very good friends with him and I can talk to him if you wanttt." leilani drags on.
"not yet." nick shakes his head. "I should get ready." nick says after he looked down on his phone. "I know you have 2 classes with him today!" leilani says before nick was gone.
matt enters the kitchen and smiles at leilani. "hey. you ready to go?" matt asks. "yeah. is it time already?" leilani asks. "15 more minutes." matt shrugs.
"you wanna wake up chris or do you want me to do it?" leilani asks. "I'll do it." matt mumbles before leaving and going downstairs to chris' room.
leilani sighs to herself as she pulls out her phone. she sees eduardo from school has texted her, which was weird since they never talk. plus, leilani doesn't remember giving him her phone number.
eduardo, also known as eddie, is an international student. he came from mexico and moved to los angeles last year for his 'career' as a singer-songwriter which is crazy since the dude is only 16.

"all done?" matt asks. "yup." "mhm." "yes." "alright let's go." matt speaks and they all leave through the front door.
"forget it chris. I'm sitting in front." leilani stops chris in his tracks. "no." chris refuses, getting in the passenger seat. "chris." matt deadpans.
chris groans and steps out of the car and sits in the back. leilani smiles at matt as she sits in the passenger seat.
"let's get rollin'!" nick smiles as matt starts driving down the street.
"ready?" matt asks. leilani sighs, "no but I have to." leilani shrugs before taking the lead and walking inside, matt following shortly after her.
whispers, stares, looks, giggles.
"matt." leilani turns to matt with a slight frown and matt could immediately read her face like he always can. "it's okay. c'mon let's go to your locker, valerie and emma are waiting there." matt speeds next to leilani and distracts her.
"everyone is watching." leilani mumbles, looking around but matt stops her by gently grabbing her chin and turning her face to him.
"don't focus on them." matt nods and leilani nods back. "anorexic leilanic!" leilani hears someone shout at her.
matt stops in his tracks and turns around only to be faced by someone he has never seen before.
"you better—" matt was gonna start shouting but a hand in his stopped him. his arm gets snatched backwards and now he's placed next to leilani again.
"please don't." she shakes her head, continuing to walk to her locker. "did you hear what he called you?!" matt shouts which makes leilani flinch.
"sorry." matt apologizes immediately. "it's fine." leilani rolls her eyes, walking further but matt pulls her in his chest since they were still holding hands.
"emma and valerie are waiting." leilani grits through her teeth. "they can wait. if you want to leave we can." matt speaks. "it's fine. I just want today over with." leilani let's go of matt's hand and wipes his hand from her shoulder before walking to her locker by herself.
