The sound of a phone vibrating woke me up. Checking the time it was already past four am.

With that the line disconnected.
I turned my head to where Anny was. She was peaceful sleeping. What Nicki said, she had a part in it. I knew such a day would come but it was so soon. She was pregnant with my child but I hadn't finalized making her mine. For now I'd focus on getting married to her. My plan was simple but I doubt she'd marry me if I told her the truth.
"This sucks." I cursed.
"Jake." I heard her calling me.
Slowly I leaned in patting her back to bed.
"Stressed out?" she asked.

"What would you do if one day you and Maximilian met?" I asked her calmly hiding all my emotions.

At the back of my mind I had a conflict about how I'd feel if she chose him. What eased me was the fact she hated him to the core. And this I was going to make her hate him even more. At the account of, I didn't tell her I already found her daughter.
The past would only make her hold to what she has been through. I wanted her to forget about her past and fully be devoted to us. Bringing back her daughter would only mean she was still tied to her past but bringing her back would mean I'd be the hero for the day. This I wanted to take advantage of the situation and keep her all to myself.
