Meliorism

(N.) The belief that the world gets better, the belief that humans can improve the world.

<Origin: Latin>

--

the world is

h u g e

like literally,

e n o u r m o u s

and here I am

having found you

someone to share it with

unconditionally.

am I ever so lucky

just to see your grin crack

like a star itself is exploding

right before my eyes.

sometimes I sit in front of the mirror

looking back at the girl inside

dumbfounded as to how

huge the world is

and yet how wonderful it is.

I'll look at you

and become so overwhelmed

with happiness

I can't help giggling

because everything is just so

w o n d e r f u l.

such a light feeling

overcomes you

when you learn

to let all the bad things go.

just choose

choose to be happy

in this wonderful

beautiful

world.
