Hey everyone, this story we have is an AU I came up with! Basically in this; Mitsuba is a human who was cursed and would sometimes turn into an apparition when angered or when he's stress or scared.

This day was supposed to be fun why did I have to ruin it!
Years streaming down my cheeks as i uselessly attempt to wipe them off using my gross weird transformed hands.
God look at me crying in a corner with trash bags around me, just because of some radish and a lame-ass earring.
Pathetic.
The word echoed in my head, repeating and repeating like a broken record player.
You just had to ruin the mood, huh sousuke.
Why couldn't you just have waited the night, to go lash out at that wall in your room! But no! You go making a scene in front of everyone else! How humiliating
I let regret and my own embarrassment consume me entirely. But was interrupted by a voice I really didn't wanna hear right now.
“Mitsuba...! ” I didn't need to turn and look to know that a worried lame-ass-traffic-earring was there, I didn't wanna look either.
Out of embarrassment, I didn't say a word and stayed in my current position. I continued to wipe the remaining tears in the corner of my eyes hoping that'll keep me focused more than the aching feeling in my chest.
“Mitsuba? ” I remained silent
It was getting harder to seem unbothered when I heard his footsteps closer and closer. I turned to my side; not wanting to show him how revolting I become only to be met by his shadow reflected by the remaining light that came from the festival.
“Hey, it's rude to ignore someone when their trying to talk to you, you know”
I let out a sigh when a realization came into mind. The man behind was Kou Minamoto, the most persistent and stubborn guy in Japan. If I didn't respond now then he'd eventually make me, so might as well get it over with.
“What do you want? ” A sour tone came out of my words whether I wanted it to or not.
“What the hell do you mean ‘what do you want’! You just threw a tantrum out of nowhere earlier and you're asking me why I'm here!? ”
I replied with silence and turned even more to my left and curled up my knees to be met with my chin.
I heard him let out a heavy sigh “Sorry if I came off to strong... I'm just so worried and confused, what's with you, you've been acting strange all night. Something must be really bothering you if it was enough to turn you into your apparition form. ” He sounded more genuine and his voice was a lot more calm and softer than before
I huffed “No sh*t Sherlock. ” I let out a sarcastic snark hoping that would cover up the hint of sobbing
“Give me something to work with here... Tell me what's up Mitsuba, please. And maybe I could help..”
You. You're what's up. And that radish too.
I really didn't wanna be to mean to radish-senpai even if it was just in my head but the amount of envy inside of me doesn't cooperate.
“Just go. Leave me be and just run off to the others. ”
“I'm not going anywhere without you! ”
That. That sentence was it. ‘I'm not going anywhere without you’ Oh those words... Those words ARE A BUCH OF-
“BULLSH*T!! ” I yelled out loud causing Minamoto to flinch. I turned to him in tears fueling with rage.
“ ‘I'm not gonna go anywhere without you’ ” I mocked “What a load of Crap! You really have the audacity to say that sh*t to me after you've done nothing BUT THAT TO ME ALL NIGHT! ” I glared at Minamoto’s shocked and confused expression that spread throughout his face
This guy is so clueless. He didn't even notice.
“W-what are you talking about? ”
I hate this.
“Forget it. ” I sat back down tiredly not bothering to hide the waterfall that was coming from my exhausted eyes
“No. ”
Ugh, this guy never takes a hint
“You wouldn't get. Your too stupid. ”
“BUT I CAN TRY! ” he yelled
I slowly turned my head to him, his eyebrows were narrowed but his eyes still held confidence
“you've always confused me, Mitsuba. But that never stopped me from trying to understand you, right? Sure, I might be just too stupid to but that won't stop me!” He paused for a few second
“You know it won't. ”
He's right. If anyone knows how much this guy never ever admits defeat. I would be one of them
I think for a moment
well I mean this is already a disaster, and there's nowhere to go but down from here. Might as well help universe with making my day more crappy, right?
“it's you and radish-senpai” I spiked in a whisper manner
“huh? What do you-”
“If you want me to talk might as well listen, right!? ” I cut him off and let out a frustrated look
“u-uh.. Yeah. I'm sorry... Continue. ”
I sighed “Ever since we came to the festival, you wouldn't stop gawking at her, just because she was wearing a kimono. And let's add the fact you totally just ditched me and ignored me to go follow her like some dog. ” I tried to refrain myself from bursting out in tears right there and there
“You looked so dumb, it's like you never saw a girl in a kimono before” I chuckled through the pain
“Mitsuba... ”
I laughed to myself while trying to wipe the small droplets of tears from my cheeks
“so... You were... - jealous? ”
“Pfffff- you wish! Why would something as- *hiccup* cute as me. Be jealous with-” I couldn't finish my sentence as sob continued to escape instead
You shouldn't have said anything, idiot! Just imagine how uncomfortable this is for him
“hahaha.. ” I let out a weak laugh
“I should've just kept my mouth shut, huh” I turned my head to him with a frail smile while still rubbing my cheek with my right hand. “I bet I don't even look cute right now... ” I chuckled
I turned again and looked at my ‘hands’ that looked like it belonged to a monster, maybe that's what I am. A beast that deserves to be locked up in a zoo
“You do... ” before I could respond, warm arms surrounded me.
I sat there, stunned, as Minamoto kept embracing me, wrapping his arms around my neck.
“Minamoto-kun...? ” He hugged me tighter
After a few seconds of me contemplating what I should do and where I should put my hands, I eventually settled on his back and rested my head onto his chest.
We sat there like that for a good 3 minutes before Minamoto pulled away and stared at me before he began to reach for my face with his right hand and rub his thumb on the side of my watery eyes
“I'm sorry... For ignoring you.. Ig I was just too blind- ” he paused then grabbed my right hand with his left and intertwined it
“To see what I should've been placing my attention to”
He looked deep into my eyes with a gentle smile curled on his lips.
How could he even look at me that way...? Especially in this form..
I stared stunned into his Ocean-coulored eyes, I could feel myself drowning at his gaze. We both looked mesmerized by each other,our eyes reflecting the light the moon gave off.
We stayed in silence nothing but our beating hearts was to be heard, well for us at least. The festival was still to be heard but we chose not to listen. We stayed our focus onto each other, like nothing else mattered. Our gaze soon came to an end when Minamoto shifted his eyes onto my lips. Wait what-
Is he really staring at my- ohmygoshohmygosh. This guy has no shame. What am I supposed to do now?? Stare at his lips too???? Gahhh, this is all making my stomach hurt!!
I kept my eyes to the floor, not daring to give more tension to the situation by staring at his at mouth
“can I? ” my eyes widened as I return my gaze to Minamoto
“w-what? ”
“I said c-can i... ”
“can you what? ” oh how I wish I didn't ask, but how glad I did
“... Kiss... You... I guess... ”
“h-huh...? ” was the only this that I could let out, but despite, my head had a lot to say

“ugh, sorry. Was that weird to say? It was, wasn't it... I'm sorry I shouldn't have”
“N-no... You- it's fine... And uh... Yes. ”
“yes? ”
I held my head low
“yeah. I meant like yes to uhm, yk. To like your questions earlier about... ”
“huh? .... OH! Uh yeah! That. hahaha” he chuckled nervously
“WAIT. So you mean I could- we can...? ”
“DON'T MAKE ME REPEAT IT. And... Yeah. ”
“S-sorry... So do I just-” he starts to lean closer to my face
“are you sure you're okay wit-”
“I already told you didn't I. And in all honest I don't know why you're still hesitating, not everyone gets this kind of chances with someone this c-”
“Beautiful.” He cuts me off
‘Beautiful’ that's new...
“uh-uhm.. Thanks. But cute is fine. ”
“Beautiful fits you too... ”
I never once had anybody call me that. ‘Cute’ is regularly what everybody would use if they would describe my looks, ‘pretty’ would also work. But ‘beautiful’ I don't anyone used that before. And now someone has.. It felt... Good?
“Whatever you say” I say with a tiny of red rushing onto my cheeks
Minamoto chuckled and continued to lean until our nose was touching each other's tip. I could feel his breath gracing my lips. The anticipation was cruel, so I leaned in to finally close the gap between us.
The world felt it stopped once my lips met his, I could feel myself grow more relaxed at the touch. Our hands were still intertwined, we were both gripping tighter than earlier. Minamoto’s right hand was still resting on my face, playing with my cheek. He would also sometimes adjust my jaw using his hand.
The atmosphere was calm and warm, I felt myself relax even more. I didn't even notice that I was returning back to my human form.
We eventually separated to catch some breathe and once we did I used my left hand to pull at his collar. Bringing him closer to me and initiating another kiss. This repeated for 30 minutes, with us kissing, separating and then kissing again.

“Where the hell are they? It's been over 45 minutes”
“Be patient, Amane. Let them take their time, I'm just so worried about Mitsuba-kun... I wonder what set him on like that... ”
“Hey, hey... No need to worry. I'm sure kid can get him to come back. Now calm down, you don't wanna grow wrinkles, don't you Yashiro~”
“Haha very funny, not the right time to be joking around yk”
“Mhmm, well at least it worked~ look at that cute smile you have~”
“I'm not smiling! ”
“Sure you aren't~”
“Amane! ”
“HAHAHA”
I saw the two bickering from a distance, eventually Amane-kun was able to see us
“OH! Hey you two! What took you so lo-” He paused and looked at our intertwined hands
“OH! KOU-KUN, MITSUBA-KUN YOU'RE HE-” Both looked like they saw a ghost, just standing there while looking at us
“Hey guys! ” Kou greeted “Sorry for the wait” He chuckled while awkwardly scratching the back of his neck
No respond
“Can you two say something? You both look like a stupid statue”
“oh sorry! Uhm- it's just... -” Radish-senpai was cut off by a hand covering her mouth
“Let's just leave it be for now, Yashiro~ it's not like we really need an answer to figure out that something definitely happened~” He released Senpai at the last sentence
“How selfish you two are~ having fun by yourselves~~” He smirked at us
I grow red with embarrassment and quickly turned to my side, failing miserably at hiding my face
“Amane don't tease them! ”
Amane-kun just snikered “Sure, ig it can wait. Besides we still have a whole festival to enjoy!” with that he grabbed radish-senpai’s hand and ran off “Come on you two! ”
“Hey wait up! ” Kou yelled “Let's go Sou! ” He turned to me with a wide smile showing off his canine-like teeth with a perfect hue of pink gracing his face perfectly. He dragged me with our connected hands, I couldn't feel anything else but our fingers brushing against each other.

We held hand n’ hand, with our backs against a concrete wall. Keeping our eyes at the stars above.
“What now? ”
“Don't know... ” I replied not moving my gaze at the sky, truly unsure
“Do we just stay here? ”
“I don't know” silence filled the atmosphere again
“Soo... ”
“... ”
“Does this mean we're... ”
My eyes widened and then narrowed again
“I.. Don't know.. ”
“Do you wanna be? ”
I paused and thought
Do I? Also why is he being so direct!?
“Don't know.. ”
“I see.. ”
“Do you? ”
“I guess... ” He looked away
Wait what.. He actually wants to- okay okay calm down *internally inhales and exhales*
“Mhm.” “ask me that question again. ”
“huh? ”
“just do it”
“okay? Uhm... Do you wanna be? ”
“yeah.”
I turned to face Minamoto, and smiled softly at his stunned state. He eventually snapped out from his daze, I'm guessing he was just processing.
“Wait really!?! ” he exclaimed
I chuckled and laid on his shoulder, our hands still gripping on one another and our fingers locked together
“Yeah... ” I closed my eyes, only imagining on where this could lead us
