Naruto
My eyes immediately snapped open.
Ever since I realized I like Hinata-chan, I never felt sleepy in the morning.
Was it because I wanted to see her beautiful face quickly? I don't know.
I stood up and brushed my teeth. I then took a quick shower.
I usually wake up around half an hour before I used to now, but I still end up reaching to school at the same time.
Either pervy sage is half asleep dropping pancakes while making breakfast, or I get stuck in the bus because of pondering over how cute Hinata-chan is.
"Pervy sage, are you done with breakfast yet?" I asked while restlessly swinging my legs beneath the table.
"Huh...?" he asked, barely able to stay awake.
I looked out the window.
"Shoot! I gotta go. See ya!" I exclaimed in a hurry.
"O...Okay..." he murmured, then started to doze off while started.
I chuckled at how weird he is and jammed the door shut, then locked it.
I entered the bright yellow bus and moved to the back, like always.
Instead of opening my phone though, I decided to look out the window.
My eye then caught Hinata-chan's.
"Hey Hinata-chan~" I exclaimed, gesturing for her to come over to sit next to me.
Instead of turning a bit red and slowly coming over, she gave me this weird, almost sad look and turned away.
Did I do something wrong?, I thought.
Maybe she isn't feeling well or is doing something important.
I decided to go with that.
I then heard the bus screech to a stop.
For some reason, the bus gives off an ear-piercing screech every time it hits the brakes. The first days I went on it, I felt as if my eardrums were about to burst, but now I'm used to it.
I hopped off from the top of the stairs, only to hear the bus driver yelling at me. It was an everyday thing, so I ignored him.
I then casually walked inside my classroom. Luckily today, I was on time.
"Hehe. I told you I wouldn't be late today," I told Teme while wearing a smug face.
"Hn," was all his reply.
"Hey rest of you," I said, turning to them.
"Wow, can't you at least say our names," said Ino.
"H-Hello Naruto-kun," said Sakura while looking down a bit.
Kun?, I thought. I just brushed it off aside.
"Hey Sakura," I replied.
I then notice Hinata-chan by the window writing in her notebook.
"Hey Hinata-chan! I don't think you heard me on the bus today properly," I beamed.
She turned her head around and sent me what looked like a sad smile, and began writing again.
I tilted my head in confusion, then looked down, dejected.
Hinata-chan, I want more of your attention. Please don't ignore me, I thought.
"Hey Naruto-kun, come with me!" said Sakura-chan, suddenly grabbing my arm.
"S-Sakura!? What are you doing?" I asked, surprised by her sudden actions.
"Just come!" she exclaimed, and started dragging me out the door.
"But Kakashi-sensei is gonna come soon!" I interjected.
"Don't worry, he's not gonna come for another 15 minutes. You know him," she said, grabbing on tighter to me.
What happened to her?, I thought.
Hinata
I glanced over to see Sakura-chan dragging Naruto-kun outside the classroom.
Tears started building up in my eyes.
No! Stay strong, Hinata! Stay strong! Be happy that your love found someone as sweet as Sakura-chan!, I thought, trying to get rid of the tears.
If Naruto-kun is happy, then so am I, I thought, rubbing my eyes and taking in a deep, shaky breath.
I decided to think about who might have kissed me.
Shikamaru-kun? No, doesn't seem like it.
Sasuke-kun? Definitely not.
Sai-kun? Maybe, but it doesn't seem likely.
Kiba-kun?
I froze in my thoughts.
Kiba-kun...actually sounds reasonable, I thought. But how can I be sure?
I decided to leave the matter for another time.
I was too nervous to ask Kiba-kun about this, but I may have to if the time comes.
Although I still think Naruto-kun might have been the one as well... I thought, pondering over how I should face him if I ever had to.
"Are you okay?" asked Ino-chan.
"Y-Yes! I a-am," I said, trying my best to fake a smile.
She looked at me in the eyes for a second, then sighed. "If you're sure."
I nodded. "Th-Thank you."
I then heard footsteps enter the room.
"I see you are late, Kakashi-sensei. Again," declared Ino-chan, causing the whole class to burst into giggles.
He sighed, then started a boring lesson on World War II.
I then looked towards Kakashi-sensei, trying to focus on the lesson, but to no avail.
I glanced out the window.
I sighed.
Naruto
"Sakura, I think Kakashi-sensei is back now," I said, checking my watch with my free hand. It read 8:37 A.M.
"No!" said Sakura, gripping on to me tighter.
I would not be surprised if I pass out due to lack of proper blood circulation.
She then dragged me to the front of the girl's bathroom.
"Wait here."
"Okay?..." I said, still confused about all that was going on.
A good 10 minutes passed. There was no sign of her coming out.
"Sakura?" I called for the 100th time.
She then suddenly hugged me from behind.
"Sakura!?"
"Shh, don't speak for a moment," she said quietly.
"Why?" I said, baffled, trying to squirm out of her grip.
"Just one sec."
After what seemed like an eternity, she finally let go.
Her face was drenched in makeup. Huh?
"Sakura, you've been acting really strange lately. What's up?" I asked.
"What's up is..." she said, pausing as she shifted her position to stand in front of me.
"What's up is that I...l-love you..." stuttered Sakura.
I tensed.
"You...what?"
"I have loved you for a while now..." she spoke, looking down.
The atmosphere changed so drastically. I was having trouble taking everything in.
"C-Can you...be my b-boyfriend?" she suddenly asked.
I flinched.
"What?" I replied, my head in the clouds.
"Be my boyfriend."
"Uh..."
Pictures of Hinata-chan suddenly flashed through my mind.
I'm sorry, Sakura, but I love Hinata-chan now.
I took in a deep breath.
"I'm sorry," I said firmly, my voice clear.
"...What?" she spoke, confusion present in her voice.
"I can't. I'm in love with someone else right now. I can't seem to put anyone above her," I stated, my tone low.
"B-But...You loved me for this long!" she exclaimed.
"I'm sorry. I love someone else, believe it."
"No!" she screamed. Her voice echoed throughout the entire hallway.
"Don't go! Stay with me!"
She gripped onto me even tighter.
"No, Sakura," I said, thrusting my hand out of her grip.
She suddenly clung onto my back.
"Don't leave me!-"
"Why don't you go back to your Sasuke-kun," I hollered.
She froze.
"Have you ever thought about my feelings? I'm human too, you know."
"N-Naruto, I-"
"All this time! All this time I have longed for you. Yearned for you! But what do I receive? NOTHING!" I yelled, glaring straight into her eyes.
She slowly let go of me.
"You can't keep on changing feelings, Sakura," I stated.
I felt her quiver. But I didn't care.
"Goodbye, Sakura," I spoke quietly in a cold tone, pushing her away from me.
"Naruto!" she called out loud. "I'm sorry!"
I ignored her. I decided to take the rest of the day off.
I angrily stomped out of the school. I decided to walk home.
Hinata
"Oh, I forgot to take attendance," said Kakashi-sensei.
He shuffled through a pile of papers, then started to call out each of out names.
"Ino."
"Here!"
"Sasuke."
"Hn."
*sigh* "Sai."
"Here."
"Shikamaru."
"How troublesome. Here."
"Choji."
"Here."
"Neji."
"Here."
"Tenten."
"Here."
"Rock Lee."
"I am here. I am so excited to go on a youthful adventure with the rest of you as well!"
*sigh* "Hinata."
I took in a deep breath.
"H-Here..."
"Sakura?"
Sakura-chan suddenly opened the door.
"I'm here. Sorry for being late. I was in the bathroom," she said quietly.
"It's okay," responded Kakashi-sensei.
"Naruto."
No response.
"Okay. Let's resume the lesson..."
I was distracted by my thoughts again.
Sakura-chan confessed, didn't she, I thought. I couldn't bear to look at her.
I hope you two are happy.
The day passed by pretty quickly.
At home, I wasn't able to sleep like usual.
Except tonight, I had even more trouble.
