It was the Sunday before Shinsuke would enter middle school. He had gotten most of his things, but still needed 1 item.
"The hell's all the cool lunchboxes?" Taro did a mental eyeroll. "I know you eyerolled Taro."
This is what happens when you use the last one as a prank for Cho.
"It was worth it, especially with the cast getting pink too."
Focus on the task at hand.
"Yeah, yeah."
Shinsuke returned to his search for a lunchbox, when he ran into someone. It was Japanese girl who looked about his age. Shinsuke approached her.
"Hey sorry to bother you, but can you check my phone? It seems to be broken."
"Oh, do you have any idea why?"
"Your number isn't in it, that's why."
"I see, well then I guess it'll stay broken."
"Well, can't blame me for trying."
"Guess I can't."
"Anyways, nice to meet ya."
"Nice to meet you, I'm-" Just then her phone lit up. "Oh sorry, got to go. See you around!" She then darted off before saying her name.
"Uh...see ya." He then sighed, and turned around.
"Who was that?" Came a teleported Julie with an extra wide grin.
"Holy sh!t, Julie! You scared me half tp death!"
"Sorry, now, who is she?"
"Some girl I met, didn't get a name, going to shop now."
"Ok then, I'll shop with you."
"Why?"
"We're going to the same school dummy."
"Oh yeah...does that mean I can cheat off you?"
"No."
"Worth a shot."
The duo then began shopping.

The first day of school started and Shinsuke made his first impressions by crashing through the doors on a skateboard. A group of kids surrounded him, including Julie and Cam who sighed and hit their heads with their hands.
"Worth it." The other kids laughed and left. "Good thing the teachers ain't here."
"That was some performance."
"Walmart lady!"
"Who?" Asked Cam.
"The girl Shinsuke met at walmart."
"Oh."
"Sorry, I never got to introduce myself. I'm Ichiko Hinode, nice to meet you."
"I'm Shinsuke, and these are my friends Julie and Cam."
"Nice to meet you all."
"You too."
"Well, I better go, nice seeing you again."
"You too."
She ran off, and Shinsuke thought this would be a great school year.
