y/n age: 13
today my mom has a show in tokyo. it's just me and her because dad is in vegas right now prepping for the superbowl. right now we are in my moms dressing room.
"y/n?" my mom said.
"yeah?" i answered.
"do you wanna pick out which outfits i'm wearing?" she asked.
"omg yes!" i exclaimed.
i picked out all her outfits and then she got ready. then i headed out to the tent with grandpa (scott). so far the show was going amazing! my mom was really putting all she has into this show. my mom loves tokyo.
then it was time for the folklore set. personally this is my favorite set. the lights turned on and mom walked up the stairs and sat on the roof of the cabin wearing her pink dress that i chose. she was singing the 1 and i LOVE that song. it got to the end and she started to walk down the stairs.
she tripped on her dress and tried to catch herself but she had already unfastened the harness and next thing i knew my mom was falling from the cabin. i screamed and ran out of the vip tent. i didn't care if i was allowed my mom just got hurt. she wasn't moving. i pushed the security out of the way and ran up onto the stage. the dancers and band made a circle around us so we would have some privacy.
"mom? mom! wake up please!" i said with tears coming out of my eyes. "SOMEONE HELP HER!" i screamed. these people were just standing there looking at her. like hello??? do something!!
"why isn't she waking up?" i asked i was completely sobbing at this point. grandpa was on the phone with someone which im assuming was either dad or grandma.
"mom! please!" i said my voice cracking.
"y/n get out of the way honey. the medics are here" i heard tree said. i got up and ran to trees arms and sobbed into her. she held me tightly.
"tree why isn't she waking up?" i asked.
"i don't know baby but it's going to be okay" she said.
"it's all my fault." i said. i started crying harder so tree took me back stage. why are they taking me backstage instead of my mother who is knocked out right now for the whole world to see?!?!?
"y/n it is not your fault" she said.
"yes it is! she wouldn't have fell if o didn't choose that stupid dress!" i screamed at tree. i didn't mean to scream i'm just scared.
"come here y/n" she said. she pulled me into her embrace. as she was hugging me i saw them walk by with my mom on stretcher which made me cry harder. "shhh shh, it's okay y/n" tree said as she comforted me.
"i wanna see my mom" i said.
"okay let's see if we can find her" tree said. we walked around backstage and didn't see her so then we made our way to her dressing room where we found her. she was awake but she was screaming in pain.
"mom!" i said as i ran over to her. i pushed back by the medics.
"sweetie don't touch your mom please." he said. my mom looked in so much pain and it was all my fault.
"i'm so sorry mom" i said as i cried.
travis pov:
i was in practice when i got called over by coach.
"what's up coach?" i asked.
"trav your phone is going off like crazy in the locker room please go turn it off or do something" he explained
"my bad coach i'll go turn it off right now" i said before i jogged off into the locker room.
once i got in there i saw 17 missed calls from scott and 10 missed calls from tree. something happened. it was either y/n or tay. i immediately called tree.
"travis?" tree said
"tree what's wrong is everything okay?!" i asked panicked.
"no um not really" she said.
"what happened is it y/n?? is it tay? what's going on?!" i said pacing around the locker room.
"it's tay she um-''
"tree what happened?" i asked.
"she got injured during the show. she fell off the roof of the cabin" she said.
"FUCK" i screamed out in anger. "is she okay???" i asked.
"well i think she got knocked out by the fall she's been out for a couple minutes" she said.
i felt my heart drop. that was my one and only job. to protect my girls. tay got hurt and i'm not even there. y/n's probably freaking out and i'm not there to comfort her.
"trav? are you there?" tree asked.
"y-yeah" i said as my voice cracked.
"trav it's okay she's gonna be okay" she said
"you don't know that" i said.
"trav trust me. she's in good hands" tree explained
"tree i uh i gotta go i'm at practice right now" i said.
"oh i'm sorry for bothering you trav" tree said.
"it's no big deal please update me" i said trying to hold back a sob.
"of course see you later trav."
"bye"
as soon as i hung up i immediately began to break down. i started throwing things. i threw my helmet on the ground out of anger and it broke.
"FUCKKKK" i screamed kicking a chair.
"TRAV?" i hear someone yell my name. but that didn't snap me out of my rage. i started throwing all sorts of stuff.
"TRAV WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" i heard coach yell. i snapped out of it and turned to look at him. i bet my face was red as hell and he probably saw the tears coming from my eyes.
"trav what the fuck are you doing?" he asked.
"i-i'm sorry coach" i said trying to hold back my cries.
"what happened?!" he asked.
"it's tay." i said sitting down and putting my head in my hands.
"trav i can't help you if you won't say what happened.
"SHE FUCKING FELL OFF ONE OF THE PROPS IN HER SHOW AND IM NOT FUCKING THERE! IM SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HER BUT NO! SHE GOT HURT AND IM NOT EVEN THERE!" i screamed.
"trav calm down" he said.
"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE CALM IF SHES FUCKING KNOCKED OUT AND HASNT WOKEN UP YET?" i said.
"trav go" he said.
"what?" i replied.
"go be with her" he said.
"but the su-''
"trav it's fine go" he said.
"thank you coach" i said as i gave him a hug. then i bolted out of there and called tree.
"tree?" i said into my phone.
"travis?" she answered.
"get me a plane i'm coming to tokyo" he said
"but the super-''
"i talked to coach already. please get me a plane" i pleaded.
"ok" she said.
"has tay woken up yet?" i said as i ran to my car.
"yeah but she's been screaming. she's in a lot of pain trav.
"fuck" i muttered.
"ok trav i got you a plane head to the airport."
"ok thank you so much tree. is y/n okay?" i asked
"no she's pretty freaked out." she said.
"let me talk to her" i said. tree handed her the phone.
"dad?" i heard y/n say. it sounded like she was crying.
"hey princess" i said.
"i'm sorry dad" she said.
"sorry for what baby?" i asked.
"i'm the one who picked the dress she wore. she tripped because she tripped on the hem of the dress. if i would've picked a different dress she wouldn't have fallen."
"y/n don't say that. this is not your fault at all" i explained. i hated how y/n was blaming herself.
"dad i need you" she said as she let out a sob. it broke my heart to hear her crying.
"i know baby i'm on my way now." i said.
"okay" she said.
"baby i gotta go in at the airport" i said.
"okay daddy" she said.
"see you in a while princess" i said.
now i have to wait 13 long hours just to be able to see that my girls are okay. this sucks. i wish i could just teleport.
