Bishop Singer sat alone in the private dining room which was immaculate working on a nice martini shaken not stirred in his left hand while his right hand skimmed his private emails on his private company tablet. Bishop ate here at Del Frisco's quite often as he loved their Wagyu Longbone 32oz steak medium rare with Beefsteak tomatoes and onion. The Wagyu Longbone steak alone eight nine dollars all by itself or higher depend on the price of the day. He was there waiting for a client that he was too meet there at Del Frisco's around eight o'clock. Singer's very sharp and equally well built Lis Webber was due in on the meet any minute as she had instructed Bishop that she was going to the airport too make sure their client made it through customs with no problem. Charlotte Douglas International Airport was a world class airport and a reasonably easy international airport too get through at any one time. They had thousands of international visitor's coming through that airport daily. There were plenty of multi national company's in and around Charlotte without even having too add in the banking industry in that area. Bishop was just getting ready too finish the last good swallow of his martini when a door bell sounded once telling Singer that someone was about too make an entrance. He looked up from his tablet too see the door open allowing Liz Webber too make a rather eye catching entrance into the private dining room. "Lis, I'll email an order in for a nice white wine too drink while you decide what you will be having for diner." Bishop stood pointing too a large leather chair to his right for Liz Webber too sit down in. He tried not too notice that she had a very serious look on her face which told Singer that she had some bad news too tell him. He decided too play it totally aloof seating back down then punching in Lis' white wine order. "I am pretty sure you will want the crab cake with Cajun Lobster sauce with a blue cheese Lettuce wedge ." Bishop wasn't asking as he was already punching in the order directly too the kitchen as he spoke it to Liz. Liz sat there in the leather chair laying out her tablet beside her table ware trying too gather herself for the eruption Liz was sure that she was about too hear. "Mister Singer," Liz started too speak cautiously as she was about too drop the bomb on Bishop Singer's meeting still yet too come. Bishop held up a halting finger as he also told the kitchen too go ahead and bring him his Wagyu Longbone steak as he was beginning too feel a little peckish. "Mister Singer! Please. I need too tell you something very important."

Lisbeth Joannia Webber came to work for Singer International directly out of college with a impressive number of degrees in business law. Liz was hired in directly too the legal department but she proved herself by leaps and bounds making a good number of tricky business decisions that brought her directly onto Bishop Singer's radar. He elevated Liz too Executive Vice President in business management here at Singer's Headquarters giving her more but only marginally constricted control of all of Singer's business assets. Bishop could not help but be impressed with the cool headed business sense of this sharp lady. She continually made good business decisions which made Singer International money on each project she worked on. Liz Webber was not hard too look at as well which he noticed rather quickly on their first encounter. He learned as time passed that she wasn't afraid to used those good looks too her advantage whenever it was necessary for Liz too meet her goals. After only about two years in business management Bishop bought Liz directly into his personal staff making her an Executive Vice President in charge of operations giving her nearly eighty seven percent control. Bishop wasn't blinded by any of Liz's asset always maintains the final say so in any Singer International venture. Bishop found that it was easy too rely on Liz on most of any of Singer International's ventures. "I just came back from the airport." Liz broke into Singer's thoughts. "Sheik Abdul Lateef Mannan and his personal bodyguard Wajeeh Selim landed with the rest of his entourage in their private jet less than twenty minutes ago." Liz paused there for a second as she waited for Bishop too let the information to sink in. Bishop said nothing as he looked back down at the emails on his tablet but he did finally began nodding perceptively never looking up from whatever the Hell he was reading. "Everything went off without a hitch till they were stopped on their way through Custom's." Liz paused again waiting too see if her boss Bishop Singer would show that usual explosive attitude he would show when he was given any information that he deemed unfavorable which was usually ninety percent of the time. Liz had seen Singer dress down many a number of male as well female executive's that had the really bad misfortune too tell Bishop something that he didn't want too hear. Liz was surprised yet still a bit suspicious at Bishop's calm demeanor as he continued too look at his freaking emails. "I'll call legal too get Sheik Mannan and Selim out of custom's as soon as possible so they...," Liz paused as the doorbell rang again then the door opened seconds afterward. A waiter in a starched white shirt with a black vest and black slacks moved into the room pushing a well loaded food cart into the room moving over to the table. The Wagyu Longbone thirty two ounce steak was a beautifully huge slice of steamy steak looking large enough too feed a family of four and still have left overs too take home. The waiter gently placed the huge hulk of meat in front of Singer as he leaned back in his seat. When the steak was down the waiter quickly placed the martini too the right. A separate smaller plate holding the Beefsteak tomatoes and onions was place carefully too the left. The waiter turned too Liz Webber bowing sharply at the waist. "Ma'am," his voice was soft and young. "Your crab cakes and the Blue Cheese Lettuce wedge will be up in sixteen minutes but I did go ahead and bring your white wine order." He pulled the tall long stem glass setting it carefully too Liz's left. "Thank You." she replied waiting while the waiter gather himself and his cart then made his way back out through the door. Once the door was fully closed Liz waited too the count of five before she continued too talk. Bishop Singer on the other hand held knife and fork in hand going too town on the Wagyu steak. Bishop began cutting on the steak like a starving man on a mission. The blood red center looked entirely too rare for her taste. Bishop ate the dripping meat like a grizzly just coming out of hibernation. While Liz was counting too ten till the waiter was away from the door she watch Singer attack the steak. He had already downed ten ounces of the thirty ounce steak by the count of five. When Liz was sure the waiter was gone she continued. "Mr. Singer, Sheik Mannan and his bodyguard Selim is being held in Custom's. I will get Legal too get them released as quickly as possible so that they can make the meeting. This arms deal is important too Singer Int...." Liz's voice trailed off as Singer began too chuckle around a large piece of meat he still chewed in his mouth. He held up a hand too Liz reaching forward for the martini taking a good sip too clear his pallet. Bishop Singer continued too chuckle at his own inside joke that Liz sure wished like Hell Singer would clue her into it real quick like. "Liz, I'm sorry if you feel left out of the joke. I will gladly fill you in." Bishop took another healthy sip of his martini then quickly ate another five ounces of steak before he put his diner wear down and wiped his mouth with the starch white linen napkin. Sheik Abdul Lateef Mannan who is way down on the royal linage but is an oil Sheik with more money than a great number of smaller countries even Saudi Arabia. But Mannan is also a thug that has killed plenty of his own native people if any of them got in his way too make money for his over flowing coffers. I don't mind anyone making money in whatever form they deemed necessary too their own ends. But when that certain slimy Son of a Camel thought that he had balls big enough that he could rip me off of some product that we have been developing. Then the stupid prick tried not pay for that certain special shipment that Singer International sent his way in good faith is a whole different subject. " Liz Webber knew Bishop Singer was not one too be crossed whether it was personally or god forbid a business deal and expect too live to tell about it later. But she also knew that Singer always got two point four million as a small down payment up front on anything that concerned Singer International business. Liz wasn't suppose too know the exact content of the shipment Singer spoke of which he sent too Mannan was. Yet Liz had ways too get information she wasn't supposed too know on any operation as she thought was interesting. Liz knew that some place in Bat Cave North Carolina that developed some kind of Security product that she had seen had been used in Iraq as well as several other third world countries. " Wajeeh Selim is a whole slimier side of the coin who is far more than just simply a personal bodyguard for Mannan." Bishop spoke up in between bites of steak, Beefsteak tomatoes and onions breaking into Liz's train of thought. "Selim is a member of an off shoot splinter cell of Al Qaeda something called The Brothers of The Arab Heart. They also are an arm of Mannan's thugs that do a good bit of his dirty work. For a substantial donation too terrorist coffers." The bell sounded one time yet again which brought Singer's discussion too a halt digging into the last fifteen ounces that remained of his steak with enough gusto Liz wanted too warn the waiter not too get to close too Bishop fearing the waiter might lose a finger or a whole bloody arm if he got too close. The same waiter entered through the door with his food cart loaded with Liz's order. He quickly made his way over too the table parking the car close by offloading her crab cakes and blue cheese lettuce wedge. He placed everything in front of her in its proper order then replaced Liz's white wine glass with another full one. The waiter was working his tightly starched pants off for a good thirty percent tip placing yet another martini in front of Singer. Bishop nodded approvingly draining his martini then reached for the other. When everything was in its proper place the waiter bowed then took his dining cart back out the door again in and out in two minutes flat. When the waiter was completely out of ear shot Singer continued with his story. "Wajeeh Selim is a terrorist plain and simple. He intended too sell out Mannan as he was going too rob him for the shipment Mannan was going too receive." Bishop paused as he cut the last remaining piece of meat of that Wagyu Longbone steak savoring the last bite as he ate it. When he sipped his martini he placed the glass down with a satisfied smile on his face. "So I placed a anonymous call too Homeland Security telling them that two terrorist were making their way too Charlotte on a private jet today at a certain time." Bishop Singer sat back in his chair letting that last little tidbit of information fall by itself as Liz had a forkful of crabmeat heading up for her mouth. Bishop wanted too see Liz's reaction too that kind of news. Liz tried really hard not too show the surprise she felt at the news that Singer had just given her. Liz made herself stay calm as she took the a forkful of crab meat biting into it. Her mind whirled at the implication of what her boss had just dropped into her lap. Liz Webber knew full well that Bishop was a totally ruthless not too mention a cunning businessman that had no problem what so ever getting blood on his hands if the need arose.

Liz would have almost found that sexy in a man but Liz was not one too mix business with pleasure especially when she knew fiddling with Singer could get you killed at a moments notice. Singer was waiting patiently too see Liz Webber's reaction too the information he had just given her. He had plans for Liz Webber if he got the answer that he wanted. He liked everything about Liz Webber as she was a serious go getter that stayed with a job till its end. Her success rate for business dealings which favored Singer International and her as well of course stood at 99.5 percent which impressed the Hell out of Bishop. If she gave the correct response too the quandary Bishop had dropped into her well sculptured lap. He was going too change Liz Webber's world in ways that would blow her mind. It would not be in any kind of sexual matter of course Bishop and plenty of other exec's at Singer found Liz Webber too be an extremely attractive woman. But no one gets onto Singer's personal team without being investigated quite thoroughly. Through some seriously thorough clandestine investigations Bishop knee that Liz had a lesbian lover that she worked real hard to keep quite secret too any of her fellow employee's. Her lover's name was Heather and she lived in Ashville up in the Blue Ridge mountains. Heather was an ER nurse for the regional hospital there in town. One's sexual preferences were not important in a personal sense too Singer unless he needed that information for leverage too use if the need arose. Liz Webber worked in a man's world so she used her sexuality when the need arose as well. Bishop Singer couldn't help but admire that about Liz.
When she see a goal Liz will use whatever means at her disposal too reach said goals. Singer watch Liz surepiously while he sipped at his martini occasionally nodding on a sliced tomato.
Liz took a page from Singer's own play book chewing quietly for a bit mulling over everything Singer had just told her. Sheik Abdul Lateef Mannan was a formidable customer too cross in any kind of a business dealing. Mannan had the protection of the Saudi Royal family if only marginally as they too disliked Mannan's willingness too kill his own people for monetary gains or more towards the fact Shiek Mannan did his killing out in the open for the whole world too see. Mannan had an ungodly amount of money spread throughout Europe including the United Kingdom too get him out of almost any kind of trouble legally. As he also had on retainer his own group of highly paid lawyer's in all the major countries that Mannan did business in. Wajeeh Selim was a character of a whole other color too Liz. He was a dangerous man in the effects that he would cut your throat if it twisted into his highly questionable religious beliefs. Wajeeh had his second brother and two nephews killed for being involved with one American woman and two from London. Wajeeh viewed the United States as a predator too the Muslim way of life. The two poor women from England only had the misfortune of being Caucasian. England had a rather alarming rate of Muslims in their population and still growing daily.. Liz Webber knew for a fact that on at least half a dozen occasions Singer International was doing business with long reaching branches of far deadlier customer's with serious demented moral fortitude. As long as Singer International made plenty of money in their monthly profit margins Bishop Singer did not see any reason way he could not do business on both sides of any given fence. So if Bishop dropped a dime on a real terrorist who most likely would get sent too Guantanamo Bay Cuba and was water boarded and made a profit too boot so be it. She couldn't help but think too herself, "Who the Hell would really care?" Liz could not see a down side for Singer in business or personal anyway she looked at it from a straight business perspective. Liz Webber had no doubt reminding herself daily that she also knew that her boss Bishop Singer was a blood thrusty megalomaniac of a businessman if he felt crossed or wrong in any dealings that Singer International was working in. She had personally seen him literally tear down opponent's who tried too slide anything little thing past Singer. He was always ever watchful from start too finish in his business dealings. He was even harsher too those employee's that fell short or that didn't do a good job at least in his mind on anything that he assigned them too. Singer expected perfection from everyone one of his employee's rewarding those who did good making those who did not disappear in a snap. But all of Liz's dealings with Mr. Singer up too date have always been favorable too her as she usually always got the deal through. There was no hook that Liz couldn't get her hands on if it would close the deal. No matter if it was supplying said customer with drug's, women or men depending on the customer's sexual preference even up too a shiny new car was not out of the question if that was needed too close any deal she was working on. Hell, with the percentages that Singer was paying Liz there wasn't anything that was too pricey for her business wise or personally. Liz continued too eat silently swallowing the crab meat she had eaten then slowly reached for her wine glass taking a sip of her white wine. When Liz placed the half empty wine glass back down onto the table a wicked smile spread across her face. "Well," she stated as she shrugged her shoulders. "Singer International still made money no matter what and I still get my twenty percent too. So either way Mr. Singer I'm here in your corner for the next venture." Bishop Singer slammed his hand palm open onto the table grinning like he just won a golden ticket then let loose with a laugh that startled Liz at first then she too began too laugh along with him. When Singer was able too get his breath under control enough too be able too speak he looked to Liz. "I think we are way past you calling me Mister Singer anymore My Dear Liz. I think it's about time that you can start calling me Bishop." Liz eyed Singer trying too quickly see if he was pulling her leg or trying too teach her something else. "Look Mr. Singer I am flattered that you think so much of me. But I don't mix business with pleasure in the workplace anyway. It's just a rule I go by too keep things simply." Bishop Singer nodded approvingly. "That's very admirable Liz but I insist you call me Bishop from here on out. I know you want sleep with me so get that worry out of your head." Even though Bishop Singer had thought of Liz naked several times when he was with any number of his other sexual play thing's. That was a matter that Bishop could cross again at a later date if the chance were too prevail itself. Now Bishop Singer was prepared too shock and awe Liz wanting too see how she would react too what he was about too say next. "I am sure your life partner Heather would not approve of a triste with any fellow co workers of clients for that manner." He let the statement fall where it may watching Liz's face. Liz Webber had too muster every ounce of stone faced control within her not too show any outward emotions at the mention of her lover Heather. Liz should have not been too surprised that her powerful boss knew about her private life as he most certainly had the means too find out any information on anyone he chose too get it on. She had seen plenty of personal reports on different individuals from a whole team of investigators at his disposal. Bishop Singer had a network that extended around the world which meant there was nothing too secret that he couldn't get his hands on given enough time and resources. Liz had gone to great extremes measures too keep Heather at a safe distance from her work environment so that none of her clientele could use against her too one up any deal that she happened too be working on. Bishop Singer waved a hand at Liz too bring her mind back too the proposal he was about too lay out on a silver platter in front of her. "Liz, Don't fret. I'm not trying too out you or even embarrass you. Your sexual preference is all your own. In this day and age it has only became slightly easier too come out into the open. I have respected your privacy and plan too in the possible future too come. But I am most impressed with your ability too get the job done for Singer International. You have made me quite a large sum of money and I only hear rave reviews from anyone you have had dealings with." Liz knew that there was an open pool going between the male exec's that she worked with who would push her off the top of the business ladder in a blue footed minute when given the chance. Bishop paused for a minute for effect before he said this next part. "I would like to offer you the position of become Singer's C.E.O or better known as the Chief Operations Officer for Singer International and all of her subsidiaries at home and aboard. Bishop fell silent yet again ralishing too see Liz's reaction too his present purposal. It wasn't hard for Bishop too see that Liz was astonished by what one of the top billionaires in the United State had just offered her. "Bishop, That is a very daunting if not incredibly fantastic offer." Liz started off slowly as she tried too wrap the idea into her head as she thought about the implications of what this offer would entail for her immediate future. "But I have too ask something upfront that will seem like I am not appreciative of the offer you are dangling in front of me. But I just have too ask what is the catch to this deal?" Bishop Singer gave Liz a golf clap too her straight forwardness getting straight to the point in question. "See!" Bishop beamed at Liz appearing impressed with this sharp woman yet again. She had no problem asking the tough questions even if they were too Bishop Singer himself. Bishop would not admit it openly anytime soon too anyone. But Bishop would only admit it too himself that he thought Liz Webber was a female version of himself thinking upon their first meeting that he had every met his female alter ego. "This is one of the reasons I want too offer the C.E.O position. I am in need of an individual that thinks along the same lines that I do. Someone who wants too make money for the company as well as for themselves. Who is willing too think outside the box and is able too question everything no matter if the question is a hard one too hear. I am the first too admit that there is no catch to this offer but there is indeed a test that goes along with the deal. The C.E.O position for all of Singer's operation is yours for the taking no matter the outcome too this test. The test is mainly for my benefit only." Bishop was going too enlighten Liz Webber too the many other irons in the proverbial fire that Bishop himself has going which will most likely completely change Liz's world upon the completion of the test. "What exactly will this suppose test entail?" Liz asked a great deal on guard just in case but keeping her tone as casual as humanly possible. Bishop could still tell that Liz was completely intrigued with the thought of becoming Chief Operations Officer having eaten only about half of her crab cakes. The Blue cheese wedge had yet too be even touched even though Bishop plate was literally stripped too the proverbial bone. Earlier on he had already instructed the waiter too bring Liz a carryout box too take her food home with her. As Liz's appetite would now be leaning more towards this upcoming new stage in her life."We'll need too take a ride up into the mountain's so I hope Heather will be up too a visit from you later tomorrow." Bishop explained packing up his tablet downing the last remains of his extra dry martini. Liz Webber's mind was spinning at light speed trying too figure out if Bishop Singer was truly dangling the jeweled carrot in front of her or was this one of his elaborate joke's that many of the other exec's have been talking about being subjected too. "The waiter will have your plates packages as we make our way down too the suv I have waiting too take us to our destination." Bishop held up a halting hand as Liz was about too argue that her car was here. "Before you say it. Your car will be taken too your townhome and dropped off. "The decision is yours but we have about an hour and a half drive ahead of us till we get to our destination in question." Bishop walked over beside Liz looking down at her. But after about three heart beat Bishop offered her his right hand. "I think you have a serious choice too make." He said simply waiting for Liz's answer. "Do you really have the fortitude too run with the big boys.'

Liz sat back in the rearward facing seat in the black all leather interior of the huge bullet proof suv. She had her carryout plates beside her from De Fresco's on the empty part of her seat. Liz nimble a bit on the crab cakes then a bit on the blue cheese lettuce wedge. Liz really wanted too get her shoes off then stretch out on the seat and catch up on some sleep. But even Liz knew there was no way that she would be getting any form of rest for quite a while till Bishop finally laid down his whole cards in this poker game. Chief Operations Officer of Singer International and all it's subsidiaries, Liz liked the sound of that quite a lot. The other male executives would most likely slamming their nuts in a desk drawer when they get the new she would become the next C.E.O. Singer had informed her that too become C.E.O was a seven figure salary with stock options as well as a per diem on her new home ,new car and a brand new executive office at Singer Headquarters. Liz would now be the top exec that everyone at Singer's corporate office with the exception of course of Bishop Singer himself. The rest of the exec's would be answering too her on any decision or action dealing with all of Singer operations. That excited Liz Webber quite a lot having fought hard in the trenches too be noticed for her knowledge and abilities too get things done. Now here Liz was sitting with a billionaire industrious Bishop Singer heading off into the night going too only god knows where. Liz still had too steel her nerves about Bishop knowing about her partner Heather especially when he mentioned about going by and meeting her. Liz had tried too get her bearings from looking out at the passing scenery trying too get some idea of their destination. She could only make out passing farm land and plenty of woodlands. They were traveling on one of a few ways towards Ashville city proper. "Could you at least give me a hint of where we are going?" Liz finally had too ask Bishop who sat in the forward facing passenger seat still looking at something on his tablet. He typed something onto the scene then looked up towards Liz. "We are heading for site 147 which I know you have already read some but not all of the paperwork for that black site. " Bishop just smiled at Liz's very game attempt at trying not too show him any kind of outward reaction at his mention of what she had thought Bishop did not know about. Liz thought that she was being extremely convert on her searches keeping everything she saw too herself researching everything solely herself. She thought the less eyes in on her covert research should have kepted her safely under her boss preview. But Liz should have guessed that Singer would have had his shark teeth out being kept well informed about her looking into everything she could get her hands on about Site 147. All she gathered from the few scraps of information  Liz knew the site was super hush hush with only a marginal crew at the site. The kicker for Liz was the site was kept secret from any branch of the US government. She even found where a local reporter tried too do a story on the on the yet unnamed site too see exactly what was going on there. Singer had the story nixed bought the TV station said reporter worked. Sadly the reporter drove his suv off a cliff in the mountains distraught cause his story was swept under the rug. Liz deduced real quickly that the real reason the reporter might have been distraught was the fact that someone helped him drive off that cliff. From the moment Singer had brought Liz into his private circle she should have guessed that Bishop would have been keeping a close eye on her the whole time. Liz made a mental note too herself to remember that Big Brother Bishop would always be watching somewhere from a far. Bishop could see that Liz's mind was whirling a mile a second at super light speed trying too assess every time bit of info he had said so far weighing the pros and cons of what he knew up too this present date. Her actions have shown Bishop that Liz Webber may very well be the first person that he has ever come across that he thought was worthy too bring into his very selective secret inner circle. Singer would never openly admit it too Liz or anyone else in the known world at least not for the moment. There have been a handful of candidate's that Bishop had offered this particular carrot too. Each one of those chosen canidates fell far short in this close ride into his inner circle but none of them have had the balls too hang with Bishop Singer's high standards. He usually preferred too handle everything close at hand but with the special personal project he has in the works in the background with Singer's other main stream operations. Bishop believes it is time too bring in someone like Liz Webber into the mix who he thought could possibly help him with the outcome too his little on the side enterprise. Bishop believed Liz was that exact go getter type mentality but still only time would truly really tell. "Site 147 is a deep dark secret research facility which in reality is just one of many that Singer International has in this country. The research papers you were able too see were very vanilla in their information compared too what actually goes on in that unassuming super secret research lab. Those in the know which as of this particular moment is the eight scientists at the site yourself and of course me. That very small selective group know Site 147 by a whole other name, Wonderland."

Bishop looked over Liz's shoulder out through the windshield of the suv. "Crew, How much longer before we reach Wonderland?" Crew, which Liz thought was a really weird arse name was the over size stack of beef that happened too be Bishop Singer's personal bodyguard as well as personal driver. Crew looked like a linebacker that could have played for Charlotte's local professional football team. But Liz knew that Crew Meyers was actually an arena football player that had his career cut short when he accidently killed his girlfriend. She really knew that steroids was the reason for Crew who flew into a violent  rage which got his girlfriend killed. Liz also knew the steroids Crew happened too have been using were supplied by Singer International through one of many pharmaceutical subsidiaries. It also didn't hurt that Bishop was the sole owner of the team at the time and liked Crew's aggressive behavior so he hired him too drive and keep the unwanted at a distance. Crew consulted the OnStar G.P.S system in the suv looking too the display. "We'll be too our destination in about thirty minutes." Crew called over his shoulder never taking his eyes off the road. Which was a good thing Liz thought as the roads through the Blue Ridge had a tendency turn sharply back in and around on itself with the trees covering the ambient light from over head coming too the very edge of the road. As the miles stretched on Liz could see different houses now again as they flashed by. Liz also caught minute glimpses of a body of water through the trees as well. Suddenly like a flash Liz Webber finally had a flash of where they were right at the moment. They were on the Highway road leading into Chimney Rock North Carolina . They would be passing through the Lake Lure area right at any moment. Liz had taken her partner Heather too the historic Lake Lure Inn on their one year anniversary together. The room was homey and they had spent several days there exploring the tourist town and each other. Then after a couple of days they spent time on the beach across the street even touring around Chimney Rock monument. That time together she had spent with Heather was the time Liz needed too make the decision that she was a lesbian. Heather had an swimmers body and blonde hair that was naturally curly. Heather worked hard too pleases Liz who was actually two years older than Heather but she made Heather believe she was the older of the two. She was an R.N. that loved working in Emergency medicine which meant that she worked rather long odd hours most 9f the time. That little set up worked just fine with Liz as she was a polar opposite too Heather admittedly a large workaholic as well. Liz jumped back too the here and now as she noticed when they came into Chimney Rock. It was a tourist town that thieved during the summer months but was still kind of a homey little town that resided beside Chimney Rock State Park. Liz leaned forward where she could just make out the rocky mountain protrusion that it was named after. "Please tell me that Wonderland is not located in a freaking state park?" Liz asked a dubious look on her face which made Bishop snicker. "Nope, I am afraid it isn't." Bishop replied knowing Liz knew full well that was the facts as she had seen from her little clandestine investigation into Site 147. The suv pulled through the darkened town swiftly as they were not in the tourist season for the town which meant everything was closed up tight. After only a few minutes they were out of Chimney Rock making their way across a stone bridge coming too a four way stop. Liz watched closely as she knew too go straight forward would take them straight too the bustling city of Ashville. If they turned left they would be going through a lot of rural flat open country. The big black SUV paused just long enough too make a legal stop in the small town of Bat Cave North Carolina then turned too the right. The mountain's closed in on the suv as it moved forward at a slow pace the greenery still closing out any light that would aloud Liz too see any details.  Heather and her had driven by this parti

The Black suv suddenly pulled over too the right again gravel crunching under the tires as it moved even slower up a narrow gravel drive. Liz had too crane her neck around too see through the windshield when the headlights of the suv reflected off the stark silver cyclone gate that suddenly appeared blocking their forward progress. Crew the driver pulled the suv too a stop flipping a switch which rolled down his driver side window. Liz Webber was shocked too see a dark figure appear beside the car a wicked looking automatic weapon in hand pointed at the vehicular as he stepped up to get a closer look at the driver. Crew Meyers smiled a lop sided smile as he produced a company I.D. card with his picture on it. He held it up for the armed guard too see. A flashlight near the end of the barrel automatically click too life lighting up the driver and the card he held up. Up closer now Liz could see a little more detail of the figure which turned out too be a rather lethal looking man in black battle fatigues that looked as if he was part of a deadly invasion force ready too blow the suv into small bits of scattered metal. The heavily armed security guard extended his empty left hand taking Crew's identification from him glancing at it for only a second. The security guards right hand which was filled with automatic weapon never waivered its aim from Crew's exposed head. "Bishop Singer and Liz Webber are the occupant's in the back." Crew advised the guard never moving his head as he knew full well that this guard was very trigger happy. The guard gave one quick sharp nod too Crew as he handed the I.D. card back too him. The guard spoke into his throat mic. "One vehicle with three occupant's coming up the drive." He waved at Crew too proceed the huge cyclone gate slowly pulling back out of the way. Crew eased the suv through the gate moving a lot more slowly up the winding drive through the forest. The suv drove up the drive which had thick greenery which came right up too the edge of the drive making it impossible too see anything. Liz suspected even in broad daylight the view would most likely be the exact same. Liz released a slow cleansing breath still trying extremely hard not too show any outward anxiety at not being in control of her present situation. For Liz too get some semblance of bearings was only one of a number of problems she had too worry about not too mention very low on that said list too boot. Liz resigned herself too sit back into her seat as casually as they drove for five more minutes up and around through the winding gravel drive Liz surmised was suppose too appear to the untrained eyes too be just another mountain backroad that stretched around the State Park. Liz didn't have too wonder as with all the foliage and natural rock face this Wonderland would be completely invisible too any satellites passing over head even if they suspected something too even here. Out of the blue the suv reached a flat paved plateau that looked large enough accommodate at least a semi truck and the trailer. Liz looked around trying too get a hint of anything out of place that might appear too be an entrance to this secret lab. But as Liz spied too her  right was a thick forest making it near impossible too see anything through the close nit foliage. Too their left what she could see through the moss and scrubs was a shear grey rocky mountainside covered at odd intervals in bits of shrubs and vines growing in and around the visible rock face. Liz looked to Bishop Singer with a questioning look on her face. She waited two beats waiting  on Bishop too at least give her a hit. All Liz got in return from her read of Singer's face was a smug grin as he just sat there staring back at her. "Surely this isn't Wonderful?" Liz queried but for some reason she had a deep seated feeling that she was about too be proven wrong. "This looks too be nothing more than a way stop up the mountain for any forestry vehicles. Which I also notice that I haven't even seen one utility shed or ever a hiking trail anywhere." Bishop just sat there with a very infuriating smile on his face. After several more heart beat he finally nodded but Liz knew the nod was not meant for her as she could feel Crew move a little in the driver's seat. Liz glanced over her right shoulder catching a slide long glance seeing Crew raise his right arm then flip a switch on what looked like a miniature garage door remote. "Why don't we show Liz what is exactly down the magical rabbit hole." Bishop said with a weird gleam in his eye.  She would have called him the mad hatter too his face but that was a given in this strange arse moment. Liz turned back too view the back of Crew's head when she heard an audible click when Crew finally flipped a switch on the remote he pointed towards the rock face.
