𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐀'𝐒 head lolled to the side, her head brushing against the side of the passenger door, two dripping gauzes tucked neatly into the side of her mouth, her eyes were drooping slightly—much to lando's amusement—her mouth parted even further occasionally a string of incoherent sounds leaving her mouth.
claudia's head shifted against the door, till she was fully staring at the side of lando's head, she stared blinking constantly, a loopy smile on her face, "wow. you have a beautiful jaw..."
her words were slurred and it took several moments for what she said to register in his mind, he let out a shy laugh glancing over at her briefly, the low humming of adele sounding throughout the temporary silence.
"that's oddly specific claud, but thank you, you have a beautiful jaw too." claudia gave him a weak thumbs up, her eyes still glued to his face, before a sobering look overcame her face and a string of sounds left her mouth.
"you're so important to me already...i don't want...i don't want to do something stupid. i don't want to be the reason the world is in your business, i don't want to annoy you the way- the way i annoyed him by being a problem when people see me out and about and they drag you into it for no reason cause of all those rumours about us, but i feel so much for you and you make me happy..."
lando's eyebrows furrowed, her hiccuped confession was a little confusing and disheartening. the fact she was so worried about how the speculation would affect him when all he could think about was how it would affect her, made a tightness build in his chest.
and hearing her talk about will, made his fists grip the wheel ever so slightly more in annoyance. the fact that his torment still plagues her mind, and makes her worry about things she shouldn't, angers him more than he'd ever show.
"he's pathetic, he should've never been annoyed at you. people will always be in my business it's you i'm concerned about, the hateful dms, the constant pictures when you're literally just living. you're my priority, never my problem...you mean so much to me too."
claudia gave him a ditsy smile, her eyes shining slightly with unshed tears—the drugs making her incredibly emotional—"i don't care what they have to say, i have you, and that's more than they'll ever get...how long till we're back at yours."
her sentence trailed off as they entered lando's apartment garage, her eyes drooping more frequently, the medication clearly catching up on her.

lando's arm hung loosely around the sleeping claudia. the pair had been back at his place for about an hour, and after a change of gauzes claudia had gone to sleep quite quickly—the back of head rested against lando, a small pillow in between his shoulder blade and her head, his arm wrapped around a torso his hand resting on her lower ribcage.
the pair were half sitting up half laying down on the sofa, the soft humming of a tv show in the background. lando scrolled through his phone, even responding to claudia's family—including her brother and parents—just to let them know that they'd arrived back and she was doing ok.
he stared at his phone silently for a few more minutes before he felt stirring in his arms. looking down he was met with a sleepy looking claudia, her cheeks a little swollen, but nether the less still with a certain radiance about her.
her hand shifted from her side, coming up to brush the jaw of lando's cheek making him smile at her softly and let out a small laugh, his free hand—that was holding his phone—placed the device down beside him, and came up to clasp her hand on his face.
he gently tugged it away, keeping her hand in his and rubbing his thumb over the back of it softly, "hungry yet? dentist said after an hour you can eat."
she gave a tired nod before a muffled response left her mouth, "chocolate please." lando didn't mean to but he laughed at her, causing him to receive an unimpressed scowl, clearing his throat he gave her a sheepish smile, "only soft foods for a few weeks claud, so no chocolate unless it's melted...but you need nutritional food at least for the first twenty four hours i think."
he only received a groan of protest.
