Mikasa's Choice
After Zeke was removed from the Attack Titan, the Rumbling stopped before the eyes of Hange and the other military generals. Jean decapitates the head of the Attack Titan and the parasite emerges, sending smoke around him, transforming Jean, Connie, Gabi, and the Eldians present at the port, while Eren's Titan regenerates and rises. Meanwhile, Zeke had managed to escape from Levi's sight, who had not been able to deliver the fatal blow.
As Eren's Titan fiercely fought against his former comrades, Mikasa was suddenly overcome by an intense headache. Flashbacks of her life with Eren flooded her mind. She relived that crucial moment when Eren had asked her what he was to her and regretted her answer. It was as if fate was giving her a chance to change things.
Awakening abruptly from her vision, Mikasa understood it was a message from Eren. She now knew where she had to go to stop the chaos. With the help of Levi and Armin, they prepared to dive into the mouth of the Attack Titan.
Mikasa: Eren is in the mouth of the Titan. I need a hand!
Levi: Understood, Mikasa!
Levi and Armin cleared a path for Mikasa, and as she entered the Titan's mouth and prepared to sever its neck, Mikasa looked Eren straight in the eyes, which seemed to reflect both sadness and resignation. She whispered softly, "See you later, Eren!"
Mikasa beheaded Eren. A resounding silence enveloped the area as the colossal Titan collapsed upon itself and gradually turned to dust. Inside, Mikasa kissed Eren for the first and last time under the eyes of Ymir.
Meanwhile, in a distant future, Aria and Damien watched as monsters turned back into humans under the rising sun. The two looked at each other and smiled, knowing they had succeeded in saving the world in time.
Back in the past, news of Eren's death quickly spread throughout the world. The citizens of Paradis were divided between those mourning his loss and those feeling a sense of liberation after so much suffering and destruction, while the rest of the world breathed a sigh of relief.
Hange, who had managed to convince the generals of the different military nations to make peace, became an envoy, along with Armin, Jean, Reiner, Connie, Pieck, Levi, Annie, Gabi, and Falco. The Pro-Jaeger faction, now a full-fledged army with Floch at its head, prepared for potential retaliation from the rest of the world, which was unlikely to happen anytime soon. But just as the world was beginning to enter a new era of peace, a doctor died under the fierce hand of his murderer in a hospital.
