Freen smiled as she seen Richie waiting by his car at the train station. Richard was Becky's brother. Freen and Richie had always gotten on so well, Richie had come out to Thailand and stayed with us for a month one summer.

Freen loved their relationship, they fought, laughed and most of all loved each other. Becky was good to Richie, and in return he always looked out for her sister Becky. When Richie dropped out of a medical course in his third-year college and said he wanted to do business course, their parents were not pleased and refused to fund Richie's fees. Becky being Becky with her heart of gold sent her brother going and now Richie was a businessman with multiple businesses in Brighton.

"What are you doing here" Richie squealed with a mixture of apprehension and joy in his voice as he gave Freen a tight squeeze.

"I'm looking for your sister" Freen replied as they broke apart, Richie looked up at the dark-haired girl.

"She's pretty upset" Richie said as Freen nodded, she knew Becky confided to Richie.

"I know but it wasn't like that" Freen replied, she wasn't going into details about it.

"I don't know if it's a good idea you are coming here" Richie warned.

"There's certain things Becky has kept from Mum and Dad" he added as a confused Freen opened the passenger door climbing in.

***

Becky was lying in her old bed upstairs while her parents watched Telly down in the living room. She hadn't spoken much to her parents since returning a few hours ago, her mum of course snapping at her for not telling her she was coming to stay.

Becky lied saying she had planned this a while back but must forgotten to tell her parents she was coming. The truth was she needed out of London; her heart ached since she found out Freen was going out to dinner with Jorin. Freen wished she could just go out to a random club right now and pick some random girl and fuck them, use them until she got Freen out of her head, but she couldn't do it.

Becky had told her close friends that tonight she was going to stay in and catch up with her family. Four words had been muttered from her father since dinner and that was only to change the channel to sports so Becky made an excuse of being tired and went to her room.

She wished she was one of those girls who could sleep with anyone. She had plenty of invitations over the past few months, but her heart was never in it, she had a couple of flirting girls here and there, but she knew her heart was back in Thailand where her life was.

Now she felt stupid, how many girls had Freen been with since they broke up? Freen clearly didn't appear to have any problems with moving on from Becky earlier when she was going on her big date. That was it Becky thought she was going out tomorrow night with her friends and picking up the first hottie she found. Lacey's was the club she spent many drunken nights growing up in Brighton.

"Rebecca" her mother shouted up the stairs as Becky groaned, now what.

"What" Becky shouted as she huffed still lying in her old bed.

"Don't say what to me, get down here now" her mother snapped.

"Bloody hell" Becky muttered as she pushed herself off her bed making her way out of the room, stomping down the stairs in a t-shirt and tiny shorts she opened the living room door stood in her living room was Freen who had the biggest grin on her face. Shit, shit, shit Becky thought as panic rippled through her. Becky's father stared at her waiting for her reaction.

"Hi. erm ...what are you doing here" Becky smiled nervously hoping to God Freen wasn't going to blow her cover.

"Well don't get too excited to see your wife babe" Freen chuckled as she stepped forward and leaned in placing a kiss on Becky's cheek. Becky blushed as Freen's arm slid around her waist. What the hell was this. Becky gulped as her mother came rushing in with her finest china she placed it on the coffee table.

"I really wished you would have told me you two were coming Rebecca" her mother said pouring out tea. Becky's mum loved Freen, in fact if it wasn't for Becky marrying the surgeon, she was sure her mother would have disowned her years ago.

Their relationship was icy ever since Becky came out as a lesbian to her family at the age of 17. Her mother always tried to set her up with different friend's sons every now and then.

When Becky moved to Thailand, she barely heard anything from her mother but as soon as her mother got wind of her going out with Freen, a surgeon, she was back talking to Becky every week on facetime. Becky knew it was fake, that her mother just wants to brag and wanted her children to turn out the best but for Richie's sake, the brunette tried as hard as she could to be a part of this family.

"Sorry Mrs. Armstrong I wanted to surprise Becky" Freen beamed as she leaned in kissing Becky's cheek again. Becky's head was fuzzy from feeling those lips against her skin for the second time in two minutes. What was Freen playing at, her touch, her kisses they were driving Becky insane. Becky glanced over at her brother who gave him two thumbs up with a huge grin on his face. She should have known Richie had something to do with this.

"Please Freen call me Rawee, we are well and truly family by now you know that" Becky's mum smiled as she handed Freen the delicate cup full of tea.

"I'm just going to put something more appropriate on" Becky muttered as she beckoned her brother to follow her. The brunette gave Freen a nervous smile before breaking their bodies apart as she disappeared out of the door. Upstairs she threw on tracky bottoms and a hoodie while she paced the room until Richie made a quiet appearance.

"What the fuck Richie" Becky snapped as she stopped her pacing.

"Becky chill, she rang me saying to pick her up at the station what was I supposed to do" Richie replied as he walked over sitting on her sister's bed.

"You could have told me so I could have sent her back on that train" Becky shot back as she racked her slender fingers through her chestnut hair. This was bad, Freen being here was bad.

"Look I told her that Mum and Dad still thought you guys were married and she was actually pretty cool with it after a couple of gasps" Richie replied shrugging his shoulders.

"Oh God" Becky cringed into her hands. Freen probably thought she was some freak for keeping their marriage going to her parents. The truth was Becky couldn't bring herself to tell her parents that her marriage was over.

She would always say Freen was at work when her mother phoned her and somehow had managed to get away with it... of course, Freen was a surgeon and was very busy working and saving lives as her mother would say. Her bedroom door opened as those piercing dark eyes gaped at her. Neither of them said anything they just stared at one another as Richie was quick to make an exit.

"Sort this messes out I'm done" Richie teased as he pulled Freen into the room and towards her wife.

"Why are you here" Becky asked her heart sinking as her eyes roamed over Freen's dress she had clearly made the effort for her date. Freen breathed out a long deep breath as she racked her fingers through her long-darkened hair... truth be told she didn't know herself...

"Same reason why I'm in London I guess" she replied as she made her way to sit on the bed, she flicked her feet out in front of her as she watched Becky's eyes furrow.

"What does that even mean" Becky snapped, she was sick of not knowing what was going on Freen's head. She was playing mind games and Becky wanted out.

"I don't know" Freen shot back as their eyes remained locked. Becky had never seen Freen look so lost, her eyes pleading with Becky to what? be nice? try read her mind?

"Well, if you don't know, what am I supposed to do" Becky snapped as she felt her heart in her throat as her tears pricked her eyes. She needed to get what she was feeling out in the open.

"I don't know what to do" Becky cried brushing her fingers across her cheek wiping her tears away.

"I left because you hate me, my own wife hated me and now you follow me to London telling me we are still married, and you don't know why" she snapped.

"I don't need you coming here to show me what I'm missing how I messed you and how you have moved on" Becky cried.

"I haven't" Freen mumbled wiping her own tears her eyes broke from Becky's.

"It was only dinner with Jorin, she pestered me until I said yes" Freen replied honestly, she stood up as she steps forwards a tearful Becky. Becky knew Jorin well enough; she was very flirty and persistent; it didn't mean it didn't hurt any less.

"I don't want you to cry" Freen sniffed back her tears as her fingers brushed across Becky's dampened cheeks, but the brunette continued to sob.

"Please" Freen begged, her heart ached seeing Becky this way. Freen had spent months watching her wife cry when their marriage broke up, but this was different. Becky seemed different; she wasn't a bitter drunk who felt sorry for herself anymore. Freen knew she was hurting Becky, and it was hurting her seeing Becky like this.

"What do you want from me" Becky sniffed.

"BB" Freen sighed her hand cupping the brunette's cheek, God she missed Becky so much. She missed their talks, their jokes, their secret glances they used to give each other in theatre, their cuddles, their kisses and exploring one another's body. She could never get enough of Becky.

"Can we just pretend for this weekend that we are back to normal, just me and you with your family" Freen asked as Becky's eyes furrowed.

"Please, I know your parents don't know about our breakup" Freen pleaded with her eyes. She needed this, needed comfort from Becky. Maybe this could help her figure out what she was doing here and how she felt.

Becky hesitated for a moment; her head was screwed up. She knew Freen was confused and clearly had a lot going on in the pretty little head of hers and it was all her fault, so Necky had to at least try and be there for Freen. This was the first time in the last year Freen actually wanted to spend time with her, Becky nodded as she wiped the last of her tears away.

"Yeah" Freen nodded as a small smile crept on her face.

"Yeah" Becky whispered smiling weakly at her wife.

"We should probably go back downstairs though" Becky sighed the thoughts of spending another hour small talking with her mother was making her cringe but at least now she had her wife with her.

***

"Well, that was painful" Becky sighed as she entered her room flicking on the lights. Becky and Freen had just spent the last hour and a half listening to her mother compliment Freen to the max, how beautiful she was and how lucky Becky was to have such a wonderful smart woman in her life. How Freen changed so many lives by her line of work, Becky rolled her eyes as she caught Freen sniggering at her. It really was just like before.

They felt comfortable sitting beside each other as they spent time with Becky's family. Giving Becky's hand a quick squeeze, Becky nodded knowing Freen was done here for the night, they quickly said their goodnights and headed up to Becky's room.

"You can have the bed" Becky said getting Freen some shorts and a t-shirt to wear she handed them to the dark-haired girl as she watched Freen's smile fade slowly.

"And so can you" Freen mumbled giving Becky a quick smile, she brushed past the brunette towards the en suite. Freen sighed as she stood in front of mirror, she ran her fingers over her soft cheek. The warmth of her own skin and the color radiating she was starting to feel like herself again, even though Becky was suffering downstairs, Freen couldn't help but feel a warm smile the entire time she sat there next to Becky.

Their eyes locking every now and then, she knew how uncomfortable Becky was being here with her mother, but one quick smile and Becky's face would soften returning her smile before turning back to listen to Becky's mother rant about the latest gossip around Brighton. Freen brushed her loose strands of her darkened hair back off her face glancing at herself again in the mirror she smiled shyly. She had butterflies in her stomach knowing Becky had agreed to just forget about things for this weekend.

Freen wasn't sure what she wanted but she needed to try figure things out. Being around Becky again was somehow a comfort, the past week in work even though the pair hadn't spoken. It gave Freen comfort knowing that she was here operating on some poor middle-aged woman, Becky was only down the corridor. Not exactly talking to her but she was still there if Freen needed her.

Becky's presence lingered around the theatre with her name coming into conversation between some of the nurses. Becky was clearly a popular nurse there. Freen quickly changed as she went back out to the room, she suddenly felt nervous as Becky was set up under the covers in her bed rubbing moisturizer between her hands. It was like Freen had never left, Freen's heart pounding against her chest she stood looking at her wife who quickly looked up as their eyes locked.

"I can take the floor" Becky whispered, typical of the old Becky Freen thought when they used to fight back in Thailand during their marriage it always ended up both of them huffing and puffing before Becky would mumble sadly about sleeping on the couch. Becky was always the one to let Freen have the comfort of their bed, depending on the fight sometimes Freen would stop her wife before she got out of the bed and bring her down against her body where they mumbled their apologies and end up having hot make up sex or if Freen was really mad she would let her wife leave her alone in their king size bed. This always only about an hour without Becky before she would make her way out to the couch and spoon her wife again mumbling their apologies and again proceeding to have a hot make up sex.

"No, you goof" Freen laughed off as she walked around the bed lifting the covers slightly her stomach tightening with nerves by the second.

"Don't call me that" Becky huffed as Freen laughed looking into the brunettes' sulky brown eyes. If there was anything in this world that Becky Armstrong didn't like, it was flying and being called a goof. It made Freen laugh every time she used to call her wife a goof, Becky would turn into sulky child as soon as the four-letter word escape her lips. Becky could never say why she hated the word it was just something Freen knew pissed her wife off. Getting a death glare off the brunette Freen held her hands up in defeat as she settled between the sheets.

"Ok" Freen smirked as Becky huffed fixing the sheets around her, she shuffled down to lie on her side facing Freen. This was weird Becky thought. A month ago, she thought she was a 26-year-old divorcee moving back to London to work and most likely end up a cat lady living within a 10-step radius of Char and Engfa when she was older. Now her ex was back in town telling her they were still married.

Freen was actually talking to her now like another human being with less hate in her voice and now she was joking with her in her bed, who would think aye?

"This is weird" Becky blurted out as Freen's smile faded.

"I mean I keep thinking I'm going to wake up someday and the last few weeks are a dream" Becky mumbled her head now buried against the pillow.

"I am glad you are here" she added blushing slightly. Freen shuffled down the bed mirroring the brunettes' body as her eyes remained on Becky's she puffed the pillow under her face. A month ago, she would never have thought she would actually see Becky again, but she accepted the job and here they were, she made a choice back in Thailand, now she just hoped it was the right one.

"I'm glad I came. I think" Freen replied with slight hesitation.

"I don't know what's this is" she said flicking her finger back and forth the small gap between them.

"Or what's going to happen" she added honestly "but I realized I needed to come to London to see how I felt" Freen added.

"And how do you feel now" Becky asked curiously.

"Confused" Freen replied "I'm not over what you did BB, I don't know if I ever will be" she added as Becky's face flinched slightly with her words.

"But I don't hate you, I could never hate you Becky, ever, can we just see how things go for now. no more questions for now, let's just have fun this weekend and we can worry about everything else another time" Freen said to Becky's head nodded slowly.

"The girls can't wait to see you, including Songjet" Becky said changing subject she wasn't going to push Freen at least she didn't hate her that was something right?

"Oh God" Freen cringed as her palm slapped against her face remembering how one of Becky's friends attached to Freen like a leech every time they met. Becky found it hilarious how extremely straight friend was like putty around her wife.

Becky never felt jealous of either one of them, she knew Freen would never cheat on her and to be honest it made Becky laugh watching how awkward it made Freen around Songjet, she was like a little lovesick puppy around the dark-haired girl.

"Do they know" Freen asked "about us I mean" she watched as Becky bit her lip nervously.

"Nam does" Becky sighed "I haven't been home much, I couldn't face telling mum so I just kept quiet with everyone else, I will tell them though, soon" Becky shuffled sleepily in her position.

"I guess you will be needing these then" Freen said as she pulled her necklace from under the t-shirt Becky had given her. A quiet gasp escaped Becky mouth as she seen her engagement ring and wedding band dangle with Freen's engagement ring against Freen's neck.

It made Becky's heart melt knowing Freen had kept them, she was sure the way Becky had left things in Thailand that Freen would have pawned them or burnt them to crisp. Freen removed her necklace allowing the rings to fall into her fingers, her heart racing she looked up to see Becky gulping watching her movements intently.

"Give me your hand" Freen whispered as Becky's eyes locked with her briefly almost looking for reassurance Freen nodded with her approval as Becky removed her hand from under her pillow, their fingers touching Freen slipped the two rings along Becky's slender finger remembering back the happiest day of their lives.

***

"Oh, Jesus I'm nervous, what if I regret this" Becky exclaimed nervously, "no offense" she pointed at Freen who's eyes widened.

"Am I doing the right thing, are we doing the right thing, you could be an axe murderer for all I know" Becky rumbled as she paced the hotel room Freen giggling at her girlfriend's nervousness. Freen and Becky had been together 6 months now and both of them our head over heels in love with each other, Becky had drunkenly told Freen how she couldn't wait to get married to her and have lots of babies running around the place, yes Becky wanted many children with Freen in the future.

Sure they had only been together 6 months but Freen knew there was no one else like Rebecca Armstrong, no one else made her heart race every day and made her feel so alive and complete, time didn't matter when Freen was around Becky, it was though they lived in their own bubble, a soppy bubble at that but when Becky had mentioned the M word Freen didn't want to run, she wanted Becky to be her wife, she never wanted anything more in her life so here they were in Hawaii for the weekend Freen having booked a surprise ceremony for them at the beach at sunset. She knew Becky loved her just as much as she loved the brunette, and it made her smile warmly as she watched Becky panic.

"This isn't funny" Becky snapped.

"Are you an axe murderer" she asked suspiciously as she stopped pacing. Freen stepped forward taking Becky's hips between her hands as Becky's arms instantly wrapped around her shoulders.

"I may chop people's limbs off but I'm not an axe murderer" Freen replied smiling at a slightly calmer Becky.

"I love you so much Becky, it scares me" Freen said as Becky nodded in agreement.

"If this isn't for you, it's cool babe, we can enjoy the rest of the weekend and go home" Freen continued as she pulled her girlfriend closer.

"I don't need a certificate to tell me how much I love you and how lucky I am, I wake up every morning knowing it" she added honestly as Becky suddenly burst into a fit of giggles. Freen's eyes furrowed as she dropped her grip from the brunette.

"I'm sorry" Becky continued to laugh as she held her hand over her mouth, she regained her breath "Freen Sarocha but that was the most cringey thing I've ever heard" she laughed as Freen's face hardened. Becky's nerves had washed away of course this was what she wanted; she love Freen more than any of her previous relationships. This was it she thought, this was her life, Freen was her life from now on.

"You know you're starting to make me have seconds thoughts too" Freen mumbled clearly upset by her girlfriend's reaction to her honesty, Becky pushed her bottom lip out as she stepped forward now her taking her girlfriend in her arms as she placed a chaste kiss on Freen's lips, leaning their foreheads together.

"I can't wait to marry you" Becky whispered as Freen's face softened. Placing another kiss on her wife to be lips Becky's turned Freen around smacking her ass towards the door.

"Go before I change my mind" Becky joked as Freen's head glanced behind giving her girlfriend a quick cheeky grin.

"I'll see you at 6" Freen confirmed opening the hotel room to make her way to her own room to get ready.

"If I'm not there by 5 past you know I've done a Julia Roberts on you" Becky teased as Freen shot her evil glare before shutting the door. Becky squealed to herself; she was getting married.

**

"I call upon these persons here present to witness that, I Freen Sarocha do take thee Rebecca Patrcia Armstrong to be my lawful wedded wife. I promise to care for you, to give you my love and friendship and to respect you and cherish you throughout the rest of our lives together" Freen said as she grasped a nervous looking brunette's hand, they were stood near a shore of the sandy bay in Honolulu. The sun was setting on the cool evening as they she held her wife to Be's hand, with a minister and two locals they had paid to witness their marriage.

"And you Rebecca repeats after me" the grey-haired man said as Becky gave Freen a quick smile taking a deep breath, here goes nothing she thought.

"I call  upon these persons here present to witness that, I Rebecca Patricia Armstrong do take thee Freen Sarocha to be my lawful wedded wife, I promise to care for you, to give you my love and friendship and to respect you and cherish you throughout the rest of our lives together" she grinned as she bit down gently on her lips, she zoned out as he began speaking again, she couldn't wait to ring Richie and Nam to tell them she was married, she couldn't wait to bring her wife back to their hotel and make love to her as wife and wife. She loved the idea of calling Freen her wife.

"This ring is a symbol of our love. Wear it always as a remember of my promise to you today" Becky said as her eyes remained locked with Freen's dark eyes she slipped the white gold ring over Freen's finger as it rested snuggly on her finger, this was it, life could not get better than this, little did Becky know she was going to break this promise and break her wife's heart.
