We were back at the hotel room. I was sitting in the couch while carrying Zion as he was coloring in his color book.
"That looks good Zi" I complimented, "thank you mummy" he said smiling. I kissed his forehead and sighed and closed my eyes, I wish it can stay like this forever, just you and me my love.
There was a knock on the door. I had put Zions toothbrush in a zipper. I went to the bathroom and took it then went to the door, "hi" he said, I handed the zipper to him,
"It's his toothbrush, I have his hair in cornrows so I can't provide a strand of his hair, this should do" I said and he nodded,
"Thank you very much" he said nodding, I couldn't keep it to myself, I had to ask,
"Is what Tina said true? You can't have kids?" I asked curiously,
"It's a long story, I'll explain once the results are out, can I say hi to him?" He said and asked,
"He's asleep, he's tired" I lied, he couldn't see into the room from the door because there was another blockage before walking into the room,
"Okay, I contacted my personal doctor and the results will be out in three days, so after the wedding and probably before you guys leave" he explained,
"I don't care Charlie, you are the one who wants validation, do your thing, just don't try anything stupid, good night" I said seriously and he nodded and before he could say good night I closed the door and sighed,
"Who was that mum?" Zion asked, "room service" I lied and he nodded.

It was finally the wedding. The bride looks so beautiful.
We all prepared and went to the church waiting for the ceremony to proceed.
Even tho Charlie and Tina broke up they still had to walk together because of Isabella and Donald off course.
I got to see Zion so happy marching down holding the rings, he didn't trip this time, I was having a proud mum moment. He turned and looked at me and I smiled so wide blowing him a kiss, my Zion.
After the church we took pictures and went to the hotel to change for the reception meanwhile I had to do a check with the dances.
The newly weds made their entrance, gave a thank you speech, cut their cake, had their first dance, they look so happy.
Later it was time for the dance and I was excited to see my work exhibited. I sat at one of the VIP tables so I had a good view of the scene.
They started and everyone cheered. Later it was the last song and Isabella ran and pulled Rose and I to the dance floor, "thank you so much" she said hugging us then resumed position.
I looked at Rose and we both smiled before joining in the slide then later a lot of people joined.
It then changed to a slow song, I hate slow songs. I was walking out of the crowd when I had my hand held.
I turned and looked, "may I?" Charlie asked, I was about to push his hand away, "I have something to tell you, I got the results back" he said, he trapped me, I felt weak and dizzy.
I gave in, once more my stupid self betrayed me and I gave in. He placed his hands on my waist and pulled me closer to him.
I had my arms wrapped around his shoulders, "thank you, for making me a dad, so he is mine, I knew his features looked a lot like me, even Donald pointed that out" he said smiling, why can't I be happy with him? I wanna try to understand him so bad but I can't.
"You happy now? You got what you wanted?" I asked dryly, "I haven't gotten what I wanted" he said and I raised my brows, "what do you want?" I asked,
"My son....and....you" he said, "you not serious" I said dryly.
"I am. For starters can we tell him I'm his dad? So he knows he has a dad who is ready to be his father?" He said and asked making me scuff,
"Zion will find it hard to trust you, I know he doesn't ask about it a lot but I know my son wants to feel fatherly love, and I will make him experience it the right way, and that is stopping you from using my son to prove a point about you being able to have children. Seriously after using me you wanna use him too? Charlie?" I said again seriously.
"How can I prove to you that I don't wanna use him or you I just want to correct the mistakes I made these past years and I want to love my son and his mum, if I tell you I'm over you I'll be a stupid liar" he said again desperately,
"Ain't it late?" I asked, "it's never late" he said again and I sighed,
"We leave in two days, you can't do anything and Zion definitely isn't gonna find out about you being his dad anytime soon. Thank you for dancing with me, your ex girlfriend keeps shooting daggers at me, you better let me go before she kills me" I said and sounded sarcastically at the end unwrapping my arms from his shoulders and removing his hands from my waist before completely getting lost in the crowds.
Tears were about to fall down from my eyes, I tried holding it in, I tried controlling it, until,
"You look pale, are you okay?" Rose asked and the tears immediately rolled down,
"He got the results back" I said in a whisper, "you gave him a sample?" She asked and I nodded, "I regret it, I wanna get out of here" I said as I was trying to take in air,
"Let's go out for a little" Rose said and I nodded before stopping, "Zion" I said and she nodded and walked and carried Zion and we three went outside.
I sat on a bench trying to take in air as it felt like I was about to break down.
"Mummy are you okay?" Zion asked and I nodded and pulled him into a hug,
"I have to tell you something Julie" Rose said and I carried my head up.
"He came and talked to me and begged that if the results were positive I should help begging you he just wants a chance or few months to show he can be a good father" Rose tried speaking in codes so Zion won't understand,
"Am I supposed to leave him here with him? What bullshit" I said lowly in a questionable tone,
"You know I despise him more than anything for what he did to you he's a coward but trust me, if you and your miracle can help him save his face of what that stupid girl did to him, it won't be much. But no matter what I will be with you Julie plus his family has explaining to do as well". Rose explained,
"So he wants to use us or use him?" I said as well also trying to speak in codes, "give him a chance to explain himself I don't want to get in between you both" Rose said again and I sighed, "why did we come here?" I said to myself.
And boom out of nowhere, he showed up. "Julie" Charlie called. I looked at Rose and she nodded before carrying Zion back into the hall and only him and I were left.
"Are you happy?" I asked tiredly wiping my eyes, "how can I be when you haven't forgiven me?" He asked,
"But you used your money and got what you wanted so quickly. Charlie I don't know what ever you are thinking or your plans but I'm not the Julie you met years ago. If your sister who I spoke with thousands of times on the phone when we where together blocked me and hid me from you, your other relatives who had me assured hid you from me and blocked me out of your life am I supposed to just brush everything off because you suddenly want to be a dad to my son? Charlie do you know the suffering and stress I went through with this child? Tell me why you suddenly want to get so involved?" I said while crying and sobbing,
"Julie, I am ready to be a dad, I want to know my son, he's mine too right? Zion is a miracle to me, to us. I'm sorry for all what I or my family did there's a lot behind this and I will tell you everything when it's appropriate I promise, just please give me at least three months to prove I can be a dad to him? I'm begging you" he said and I sighed,
"One of this reasons has to do with the fact that you were diagnosed with not being able to have a child? So you want to use Zion as proof that you can have children? For your personal satisfaction or what?" I said and asked again, "why can't you understand me?" He said screaming a little,
"What's there to understand?" I screamed back a little, "Julie please, it's just this connection that's drawing me closer to him that if I let you guys go I can't deal with it" he said again and I sighed.
"I have work and I'm not leaving my son here with you especially" I said again,
"I can contact your company myself and make them have you work through online" he said again,
"I can do that myself" I said, "would you like to live at my place for the time you're here?" He asked,
"I haven't agreed to this. And no" I said standing up and cleaning my dress,
"You will comply by my rules Charlie I'm not in for no bullshit. You want to get to know Zion as your son, you come over to where we live I'm not changing my life for you, you have less than 24 hours to think our flight leaves tomorrow evening" I said sternly before walking back in.
Throughout the rest of the evening I couldn't really do anything. He came by me a few more times but I moved.
"Congratulations girl, I'm so happy for you" I said to Isabella again as they were leaving the venue to the after party,
"You ain't coming?" Donald asked and I shook my head, "my little man is sleeping plus who will I leave him with?" I said again,
"My mum, she will take care of our Zion she loves kids" Isabella said, I don't know why I feel scared Charlie will take him away from me or something.
I turned and looked at him and he was already looking at me, "where's your mum?" I asked Isabella, "she's inside, come on let's go to her" she said and I carried a sleeping Zion and followed,
"Hi aunty" I greeted, "hi sweetie" her mum said back smiling, "mum this is Julie, the close friend I told you about" Isabella said,
"The girl whose parents welcomed you as their own and the one who has a baby?" her mum said and asked smiling, "this is Zion, her son" Isabella introduced,
"the handsome baby who held the rings, he's so adorable" aunty said again,
"Thank you so much"
"Mum we were wondering if you can watch over Zion for the rest of the night while we youngsters go for the after party? I'm trying to convince Julie to go with us, she's scared of leaving her baby behind"
"I'm not scared aunty I'm just worried"
"Don't be scared sweetie, I was about to go home anyways, here give him to me"
After I passed Zion over she looked at him and smiled, "he looks like someone i know" she said and my heart dropped,
"Mum please take care of our treasure" Isabella said and her mum nodded and smiled, "if he wakes up all of a sudden just say I'm buying something for him he will go back to sleep. Also please he wakes up and drinks water between his sleeps so have one by him, he doesn't cry at all and he's not a loud toddler" I explained and she nodded.
"It's okay sweetie I will take care of your baby, you deserve to have fun, you guys go ahead now enjoy" she said again and I thanked her before we walked back out,
"Guess who's coming!" Isabella said happily, "for real?" Rose asked too and I nodded, "I won't stay for long tho I have to rest and we are flying back tomorrow" I said, "it doesn't matter at least you are coming, you deserve some fun too" Donald said and I nodded.
We all got into the respective cars and went to the club, damn.
Upon arrival, it was rented out only for us. The guards immediately greeted the couple then welcomed us in and walked us in.
I sat by the bar area just looking around, I feel tired, exhausted, everything.
"Julie get your ass off the chair" Rose came to me, "later, let me take everything in" I said, it's been a long time since I partied or went clubbing so it's kind of uncomfortable I guess.
"Come now, I miss your party self" Rose said pulling me from the chair until I finally gave up.
She started urging me to dance and I just did soft movements and started loosening up until that one particular song came on.
I was resisting so bad but the beats were too catchy. So I loosened up, more than I imagined I could.
Then I got pushed into the circle center, "ay, ay, ay" everyone was hyping up each other, it's fun.
I got tired and decided to sit for a little, gosh why is he coming to me? Isn't he tired?.
"Aren't you tired of talking to me? Because I am tired of talking to you" I said before Charlie could sit.
He looked at me like he was in pain and sighed before sitting opposite me.
"I can't come with you guys, I have work and things to do, I have a project to lead" he said and I smiled and nodded,
"Good for you Charlie. We aren't staying here for you either, like I said if you want to get to know your son, you will fix your life for him, we won't fix our lives for you" I said again,
"I'll find a way" he said again and I just stared at him and sighed,
"I missed you" he said like a murmur,
"Excuse me what?"
"I missed you. Never knew you were this fun, you are always uptight with me"
"I did this for Julie and Isabella you will hardly see me do stuff like this"
"Julie I won't stop apologizing"
"Can we not do this here? Not right now Charlie. Us getting to meet again is already so stressful for me. You suddenly want to be involved with Zion, I don't even know if my son will be welcomed into your family or even them liking me, I was lied to once, I'm not a fool"
"No one will hurt you or Zion I promise"
"Like how you promised to never leave me or let me go but still did it anyway? Don't make promises you wouldn't stand by please, it hurts"
"Why are you both sitting? We have just two hours left to be here come on" Isabella came,

The song played and it ached my heart, "I feel like this song" I heard him say from beside me,
"Oh please" I said sarcastically.
The after party soon came to an end and while the couples went back to their hotel, Charlie offered to drive Rose and I back but we had to pick up Zion from Isabella's mums.
The car ride was quiet, Rose was sleeping in the backseat.
We soon got there and I got out and rang the bell. She later opened it and smiled, "hi sweetie", "hi aunty, was he a hazel" I asked,
"Not at all your baby is so adorable, he's still sleeping" she said and I smiled.
I walked in to her room and carried Zion and she held his shoes and walked me to the car.
"Hi aunty" Charlie greeted her as he came down and opened the door, "hi Charlie, drive safely" she replied back and he nodded,
"Let me help" Charlie said as he placed his hand on Zion's back, I slowly put him on the chair and placed the seatbelt over him,
"Little man must be tired" Charlie said looking at him and smiling before closing the door and going back to the driver sit.
We later arrived at the hotel and I tried waking Rose up but she was reluctant.
"I can take Zion up to your room while you take Rose to hers?" Charlie said and I thought before nodding because I won't leave him alone with my best friend and knows better than to do anything stupid with my son.
I took Rose to her room and helped her freshen up and change clothes and when she went to bed I went to my room which was opposite hers,
"Mummy" Zion said tiredly walking to me scratching his eyes, "hi baby, who woke you?" I asked, "I woke up by myself. I'm so tired mummy" he said making me chuckle,
"I know baby, I'll run the warm water for you so you freshen up and get into your comfy pjs how does that sound?" I said and asked,
"Awesome. Oh why is Sir Charlie here?" He said then asked turning and looking at Charlie,
"He dropped us home go on say thank you, I'll prepare the shower for you" I said and he nodded before walking to Charlie.
After preparing his pjs and everything I took him and freshened him up, put him in his pjs and gave him warm water to drink before placing him on the bed,
"Good night sunshine" I said kissing his forehead, "good night super mummy" he said making me smile.
"Why are you still here?" I turned to Charlie slowly, "just wanted to make sure you both were settled in, I'll go to my room now" he said and I nodded,
"Thank you, good night Charlie"
"Good night Julie"
He said then left, I saw pain visible on his face and eyes it's like he wanted to say something but I completely shut him out.
