"What?!" Jungkook stands up from his chair as soon as he receives the call
Jimin flinches at the sound as he watches his boss's reaction
Jungkook's grip on the phone loosens and he collapses onto the chair behind him
"Sir.. are you okay?" Jimin's concerned voice brings Jungkook back to reality
"G-Grandma.. she..h-hospital..."
Jimin understood
"Everything will be okay... I will drive you there..."

Jimin is Jungkook's secretary. Jungkook is the CEO of Jeon internationals. Jungkook was always about work. He never expressed his emotions. Jimin is surprised when he saw the man's emotional status weaken.
They reach the hospital and Jungkook's parents inform him that his grandma might not have much time to live, her wish was to see him get married.
Jungkook walks into the room, Jimin follows him behind after Jungkook's mom told him to
Grandma Jeon was happy to see Jungkook and even more happy to see Jimin comforting the man
Grandma Jeon calls Jimin forward
"You are his boyfriend right? You will marry him for me and take care of him right?"
Jimin didn't know what to say and Jungkook stood silently there as if contemplating things
"Eomma... Jimin is..." Jungkook's mom speaks only for Jungkook to interrupt
"I haven't officially asked him to marry me yet but I am sure he will not say no" Jungkook says making the woman smile
Jimin stood there with his eyes widened
"Please excuse us..." Jungkook says bowing to his grandma before grabbing Jimin's wrist and walking out
Jungkook's mom smiles watching Jungkook walk away with the tiny boy

The two walk to an empty corridor and Jungkook leaves Jimin's wrist. Jungkook stares out the window as Jimin stands in silence
"S-Sir..."
"I'm sorry..." Jungkook says "...I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or put you on the spot like that..." Jungkook turns to face the boy "....but is it really a bad thing?"
Jimin frowns "...what?"
Jungkook sighs "...You know me right? My grandmother has been an integral part of my life growing up... I really want to fulfill her wish ....I probably will never marry anyone... I don't have anyone I love... and you also don't... isn't that correct?"
Jimin nods hesitantly not knowing where the conversation was going
Jungkook looks at the boy, his expression all over the place
"Then will you marry me?"
Jimin's heart skips a beat
"A contract marriage for a few years. You will stay with me and be my husband in public but you can do whatever you want without being obligated to be with me..."
Jimin stares at the man. He has seen how Jungkook has been excited when his grandma called and would do anything for the woman. He liked Jungkook as a boss and he wanted to help the man who has helped him a lot in the beginning. Jungkook looked really desperate
This was the first time that Jimin witnessed the man showing vulnerability and all he wanted to do was make Jungkook feel better. Jungkook was never a terrible boss - he was smart and wise and disciplined. Jimin had no reason to hate him.
"I will marry you" Jimin says making Jungkook let out a sigh of relief "...I will respect this marriage and be considerate of you... I hope you will respect this marriage too..."

That's how Jungkook and Jimin get married and Jimin moves in with the man.
Their relationship was really awkward at first. Jimin thought he knew Jungkook's routine as a secretary but staying with the man, he found out how cute the man was at home - for starters Jungkook looked like a cute bunny when he slept, a bit cranky when the alarm went off. He would walk to the kitchen with half eyes closed and eat the breakfast before getting ready for work. Jungkook stayed with his parents and grandma and it was really nice to see how he interacted with them. Even if he wasn't all smiles and giggles, the genuine care he held for them was visible in his actions and eyes and that made Jimin fall for the man.
Jungkook did his part as Jimin's husband as well. He would be mindful of Jimin's likes and dislikes and never did anything which the boy found annoying. They went out on dates which was to show his grandma of course, but the two got to know each other better.

Jimin learned that Jungkook had a girlfriend in college who left him for her career in the states. Jungkook was left heartbroken at the time and had lost his smile from then on. He threw his entire time into work which made his family worried for him. His family isn't sure if Jungkook really loved A/N but they were there for each other through thick and thin.
Jungkook's family could see that Jungkook was being like his older self and they were thankful to Jimin for this change.

Jungkook was slowly opening up to Jimin and changing his personality, being loving and caring and imitating dates without being prompted by his family but all that comes to an end when A/N comes back in his life
Jungkook is surprised to see her at his company. She came to see him after her husband abused her and she came for a divorce. She was actually planning to come back to Jungkook after her MBA but her family had found her a man who was a family friend.

Jungkook was confused about his feelings now. He liked Jimin but seeing A/N and knowing what she is going through made him protective of her, old feelings popped up - whether the old feelings were real love or just love between friends - Jungkook doesn't know. All he knew was A/N needed him right now.

Jimin sees how Jungkook changed ever since A/N came into their life. Jimin saw how Jungkook would leave everything just to be with her and help her. Grandma Jeon had passed away by then and they were still married for about a year now.
"Jungkook..." Jimin says when the man returns after meeting A/N "...let's talk please..."
Jungkook sits across Jimin
They sit in silence for a while before Jimin speaks again
"Do you still love A/N?"
Jungkook was sure he wasn't in love with her, in fact he was sure he never really loved her that way.
"I love you Jungkook..." Jimin says making Jungkook's heart skip a beat "...but I don't want to force you to stay in this marriage if your happiness is with her... your happiness is everything to me..."
Jungkook gulps
The feelings he got when he was with her was nothing compared to what he felt with Jimin. But he wasn't sure of what he felt for Jimin and it wouldn't be fair to string Jimin along if he was to eventually break up with the boy
"...the contract is ending in a year... if there will never be an us... then it's better to end the contract..."
Jungkook's eyes widen as he looks at the boy
"What do you mean?"
"Let's divorce"

Ever since the divorce Jungkook was a changed man, he was even more closed off and kept to himself. His family was worried for him. Jimin had resigned from the company on the day of the divorce completion. Jungkook had no idea where Jimin went

2 years later, Jungkook goes to Daegu for a meeting and that's where he meets Jimin again.
Jimin was also there with his new boss to present their ideas at the meeting. Jungkook's heart skipped a beat seeing how close Jimin was to his new boss - Kim Taehyung, Jungkook's business school rival as Taehyung often got many people to vote for himself due to his pleasant nature, even if Jungkook was more talented.
Mr Lee shakes hands with Jungkook before he shakes hands with Taehyung
"I love both of your ideas... I think we can collaborate somehow..."
"Of course Mr Lee..." Taehyung says smiling
"And who is this cutie? Your secretary is very smart too..." Mr Lee says smiling at Jimin
Jungkook's hands form a fist but his heart breaks when Taehyung side hugs Jimin
"Thank you.. Jimin is my secretary and soon to be husband..."
Jimin and Jungkook, their eyes meet at those words but Jimin breaks eye contact when Taehyung gestures him outside
Jungkook has never felt such intense pain in his life before
Why does it hurt seeing you smile at someone else? Am I too late? - Jungkook thinks as he pats his chest, trying to ease the pain

The next couple of days Jungkook, Jimin and Taehyung met to discuss a collaborated project. Jungkook can't help but feel jealous when he sees how close the two were and how comfortable Jimin looked being in Taehyung's arms.
"Excuse me... I will be right back.." Taehyung excuses himself when he receives a call
Jungkook couldn't take it anymore when Taehyung walks away winking at Jimin and the boy giggles
Jungkook grabs the boy's wrist when Jimin excuses himself to the washroom and pins the boy to the nearest wall in Taehyung's office building
"J-Jungkook!"
"Are you really over me so quickly? It's only been 2 years... how can you move on so fast!? Did you never love me?" Jungkook's eyes fill with tears as his grip loosens "..Please don't love him like you loved me....I'm sorry I am late... I'm so sorry I realized I love you after you left... am I too late? Please tell me you still love me... please... please be mine again... mine for real this time..." Jungkook's knees give out and he falls to the floor
Jimin's eyes widen, his heart picks up pace watching the man break down in front of him
"J-Jungkook..." Jimin kneels down next to the man, pulling Jungkook into a comforting hug
"Could you.....could you..please.... please don't change... please don't change your feelings about me...please love me the same.... it hurts... it really hurts seeing you with someone else..." Jungkook chokes on his tears "....now I get what you must have felt seeing me with A/N... but please trust me when I say that I never loved her... and that day when you told me about your feelings I didn't divorce you because I wanted to be with her... but because I wanted you to find your happiness because I thought I only liked you as a friend... the day you resigned after the divorce made realize that I was always in love with you... but it was too late... Noone knew where you went..."
Jimin bites his lips, holding back his tears - oh, how much he missed this man
"...please... can you come back to me.... I will give this project entirely to Taehyung after I help him with my ideas... I will give my everything just to be with you again..."
"Wow" Jungkook's and Jimin's attention was drawn to Taehyung who had just entered "...so you think I would give up my fiance for your ideas?" Taehyung glares at the man
"T-Tae..." Jimin says
There was a moment of silence before Taehyung breaks down laughing
Jungkook looks at the man confused and then at Jimin who was now slightly giggling through his tears
"You idiot... I am already married...see..." Taehyung shows off his rings to Jungkook
"You are already married?!" Jungkook looks at Jimin, betrayed
Taehyung rolls his eyes "I am married to my two boyfriends"
"B-But..." Jungkook is confused
"Mr Lee is known to be a pervert so I just protected my best friend from school, that's all" Taehyung clarifies before turning to walk back out "...clear any misunderstandings... I know my Jiminah still loves you... you have both suffered long enough..."
Jimin looks away blushing while Jungkook stared at the boy with softened eyes
"You still love me?" Jungkook's voice is soft
Jimin blushes harder but nods
Jungkook bites his lips at Jimin's cuteness
"Uh... so... will you... I mean... be my boyfriend?"
Jimin looks at the man who looked back at him with so much hope
"No"
Jungkook felt a wave of disappointment
"No because I want to be your husband. I don't want to wait anymore..."
Jungkook let's out a sob as he hugs the boy closer to him "I love you. I love you so much"
Jimin hugs the man back softly "I love you too"
