(Baki, Temari and Kankuro are seen as they prepare to start their operation.)
Baki/Temari/Kankuro: Start the operation!
(Kakashi sees Hiruzen being held by Orochimaru.)
Kakashi: (shocked) Lord Hokage!
(Some ANBU Hunters rush past Kakashi and Guy.)
Anbu Hunter: Leave it to us!
(They try their best to save Hiruzen, but their efforts prove to be in vain as four more Sound Ninjas come out.)
Kidomaru: It was about time we came into the scene.
Sakon: We've been transformed for such a long time. I'm totally pent up with this frustration.
Tayuya: You guys smell as sweaty. (in mind) Unlike that One Punch Boy for sure.
Jirobo: Come on, we're all comrades... right?
(Then they perform a barrier around Orochimaru and Hiruzen.)
Sound Four: Ninja Arts! Four Flames Formation!
(A barrier is formed as one of the ANBU Hunters tries to pass through, but gets burned in the process.)
Naruto: No doubt... those guys are no ordinary ninjas...
(He suddenly sees Gaara showing killer intent before feeling a headache. Kankuro and Temari are ordered by Baki to take him away as Genma fights him, and Sasuke goes after the trio. Genma then turns to Naruto.)
Genma: Naruto... sorry, but the Chunnin Exams end here. If you're a Leaf Shinobi, be of service to the Leaf.
Naruto: In other words, I'm supposed to take down that Gaara guy, no matter what, right?
Genma: Don't pursue too far. From here on, it's no longer an exam. It's the real thing!
(Naruto turns to Haku and Kin, who nod as he goes, and then they follow, unaware that Shino is watching the entire thing.)
(Meanwhile at Ninja Academy, the kids are seen running in circles while Iruka has something in mind.)
Iruka: (in mind) I wonder how the Chunnin Exams are going? I wonder if Naruto's match is over yet? The first match was with Neji, right? He must have won that match one way or another.
(Cut to Naruto, he is seen accompanied by Haku, Kin, Sakura, Shikamaru and Pakun.)
Shikamaru: I still can't believe the Sound Kunoichi is by our side.
Kin: You know what's more unbelievble, little man? To have a talking dog as a partner in a mission.
Haku: Let's just keep quiet and focus on the mission. (in mind) All of this was part of this Orochimaru guy's plan.
Naruto: Kin?
Kin: Yes?
Naruto: What's between your former master and Lord Hokage?
????: Maybe I can explain it better.
(Karin comes out of nowhere.)
Karin: I heard that years ago, Orochimaru believed to be more capable of becoming the Fourth Hokage... but his requested was denied. And he holds a grudge against him ever since.
Naruto: (sighs) So much for revenge...
(They set off after Sasuke as the screen fades out.)
