Clementine can feel The wind blowing, hear the birds crowing and flying around them she looks up
now ten years old wearing blue jacket since the Brooklyn one was too messy, she was holding her gun tightly,izuku found her a backpack to keep her stuff in. Duck was right next to her looking up seeing a couple of birds he felt he's shoulder being tap he turns he's head a little to see Carley

Duck: yeah just looking at some birds.

Omid: what you guys think?
He said looking at the store with bathrooms izuku was next to omid on he's right while Christa was on his left

Izuku gets up as did Christa and omid, he jester the others to come.

They started walking towards the bathrooms

The group stop in front of the bathroom doors Christa putting her hand on hip looking at her husband

Duck and Clementine were looking around picking up empty cans Carley was looking around just in case so was izuku holding he's crossbow.

He said gaining nods from them he started walking into the men bathroom as he went in the two kids look at Carley and izuku
Carley: izu take them in the bathroom I'm going check around see if I can find anything to eat or at least something useful

She says while walking away from the trio, izuku looks at the two kids

He sighs and walks in, behind him izuku and last Clementine closing the door behind them. they see the restroom dirty stains on the floor trash on the floor izuku points he's Crossbow and says

No answer he lowers he's weapon and looks at the kids raising he's hand up telling them to wait right by the door they nod Clementine holding her gun up and Duck grabbing the base ball bat he brought with him from the jelrewy store. Izuku walls slowy to the stalls opens one it appears to be broken and cover in crap , he closes the door and goes to the Next one this one had blood stains and a bunny covered in it he shakes he's head and closes it and finally searches the third stall that actually seem cleaned. No walkers finally something good he closes it and looks at the kids
Izuku: okay it's safe
Clementine: thank goodness no one's here.
Duck: yep
Izuku puts down he's back pack and grabs two bottle of water and rags he puts them on the sink
Izuku: allright you two wash your face
Clementine: okay
The kids go up to their own sink Clementine puts her gun on the counter and grabs the rag,they put little bit of water on their rags and started washing their face izuku was starting at the bathroom door having a bad feeling he turns a little to look at the kids
Izuku: maybe Wellington might have hot showers
Duck: that would be nice
Clementine: yeah
They finish cleaning their faces Clementine accidentally hit the bottle of water and rolled on the floor into the third stall izuku turns to the kids walking to the third stall
Clementine: crap we're is it !
Duck: I'll help you
He walks up to them and sees Clementine grabbing the water bottle she dropped as she did they heard the door opening izuku quickly pushed the kids into the stall Clementine standing on the toilet seat next to her was duck holding her hand izuku lower he's crossbow, he knew it wasn't Carley, Christa or omid because they would of said something whoever it was was coming closer as he was looking into the crack of the stall door he noticed on the counter Clementine gun as the stranger was getting close to it he had no choice but to get the upper hand hopefully they didn't have anything on them.
He pushes the stall door open fast making the stranger jump in surprise he aims the crossbow at them yelling
Izuku: you reach for that gun I will not hesitate to put a arrow in between your eyes!
The stranger raise their hands to the air shaking and yelling
Stranger: I.. I'm sorry... I
Just then omid and Carley Rush into the restroom to see what the commotion was they see izuku pointing he's crossbow at a woman
Izuku: back up outside don't even try anything
Woman: okay... Okay I won't!
Izuku: Carley,omid take her outside I'll be out there in a minute.
They nod Carley points her gun at the woman and omid drags her out of the restroom izuku turns to the kids giving a dad look to them he turns to the counter and grabs Clementine gun he looks at them and says
Izuku: you never leave your guns out for anyone to grab you understand. Things could have gone a lot worse if I didn't see this in time
Clementine: I.. I'm sorry I just... I'm sorry
She said looking down to the floor feeling awful duck did the same feeling like he disappointed izuku. He sighs and kneels down to them grabbing their shoulders
Izuku: hey I.. I'm not mad okay this another lesson for you two okay now you know for next time okay. I'm sorry for yelling
Clementine: it's okay
Duck: yeah.
They hug izuku gets up and puts Clem gun in her bag and gives it to her she grabs and and puts it on.
Izuku: let's go outside to the others and deal with the situation okay.
They nod and follow izuku
Izuku: (problem child.... Oh no I'm sounding like Mr. aizawa )
The trio get out of the bathroom and sees Christa looking everywhere scared,omid potion his rifle at the woman making sure she doesn't move. And Carley tied her hands up she looks up to see izuku and gets up and walk towards him
Carley: I should of stayed with you three im--
Izuku: hey it's okay Carley you didn't know will be prepared if something like this happens again
She nods Christa walks up to them
Christa: she hasn't talk and I'm getting really worried she's not alone
Omid: what we do?
Carley: we should let her go I mean look at her she's got nothing on her.
Christa: but what if she has friends somewhere around those woods next thing you know we're fighting five or ten more of them.
Carley: so what you suggested we just kill her just like that?!
Christa: we have to look out for our on okay I'm just being realistic here we can't let her go and risk her bringing back friends
Omid : I think she's right
Carley: omid!
Omid : hey I don't like it as much as you do but we need to think about the kids safety including the babies.
Duck: maybe we can let her join us .
The group stare at the boy
Duck: I.. I mean she doesn't look too dangerous plus she wouldn't go back to her group if we take her with us.
Christa: I'm not sure about that duck. What you think izuku?
Carley: yeah let's just let her go
Christa: we can't let her go
Clementine: stop fighting please!
The two woman calm down they all stare at izuku waiting for he's answer he sighs and walks up to the woman and kneels down looking into her eyes as she locks eyes with him
Izuku: I want to believe everyone has a good heart and their not just out for themselves everyone deserves a chance. Do you think you deserve it
He says not looking away from her
Izuku: my names izuku midorya, this is my group we have kids and woman she's pregnant now you'll understand why we're skeptical of us just letting you go
She nods and looking away
Izuku: when I had you surrender you we're shaking telling me you're scared meaning you haven't met another survivor for awhile am I correct
She nods
Izuku: I'm gonna ask you two questions. How many walkers have you killed?
Woman: I don't know maybe twenty?
She finally answeres he nods

Woman: none
She said not looking away

He gets up staring down at her

Izuku: I'm good on reading people she's not with anyone if she was they would of been here by now even if it was only a few and if you've had killed someone you wouldn't be scared to do it more used to it ... Even though you shouldn't be...
It goes quiet for little bit
Carley: so what we do?
Izuku: .....
He looks at the woman again she was just looking down on the ground waiting for whatever they've decided
Izuku: what's you're name ?
She looks up at him
Woman: Vanessa
Izuku nods: Vanessa
He grabs he's knife startling her but he raises both he's hand up calming her down he goes to her wrist and cuts the rope off walks around and faces her again and slowly foward he's hand for her to reach she grabs it and he lifts her back up on her feet now standing staring at the green hair boy
Izuku: it's going take some time getting use to but you can trust us we won't be hurting you and I hope you would do the same for us .
Christa shakes her hair not liking this at all omid was feeling uneasy too and Carley respected izuku decision but will keep an eye on her duck smile and Clementine didn't know what to think about it
Vanasa: um.. Im not sure what to say.. thanks for not killing me?
Izuku: yeah. Come on we should keep moving
They began to walk away from the store Carley and Christa watching Vanessa while omid and izuku take the lead kids we're in the middle duck kept on asking the new girl questions she answered a few she looks at the green hair boy and has small smile she felt like this might be a nice crew to travel with for awhile

A month has passed Clementine now eleven years old out grew her jacket now only wearing two shirts a purple shirt with another one that was long sleeve underneath Duck was sitting next to her feeling a bit gloom Carley was on their right looking a bit down as well they look at Christa that was just staring at the sad fire trying to cook the raw dead squirrel that needed more fire , omid was next to her frowing izuku and Vanessa came back with some more squirrels izuku got rid of he's old high school jacket since it brought to many sad memories and was wearing a dark green jacket.finally omid decided to break the silent
Omid: Christa.. please. talk to me.
She looks up at him everything changed since she lost the baby..it was a girl and that broke her and omid she didn't speak or eat for awhile omid try everything to at least cheer her back up but nothing she shakes her head gets up and kneel down at the fire in poking it with stick and looks at everyone
Christa: this'll never work. Look at this it's pathetic. The wood's to wet to burn... There's more smoke then flames at this rate will be eating this for breakfast
Vanessa: yeah nah definitely like to eat berries then raw squirrel. What else can we do?
Christa: why don't you shut up and find something that'll burn, I dunno what are you even good for you.
Carley: hey let's take it easy okay. We do need something to burn but it won't be easy trying to find something in the dark and in the rain.
Christa: the kids should be doing this not, me . Tending a fire so they can cook and stay warm... It's something they have to be able to do, Clementine & Duck. Otherwise...
She shakes her head cleme sighs looking down Duck nods
Omid: hey don't worry me and izuku will teach you okay
Izuku: yeah
The wind started to blow more making Clementine shake duck had a brown jacket he felt bad they couldn't find Clementine anything to wear
Clementine: I'm freezing
Christa: you think this is bad, wait until we get up to wellington, then talk to me about cold.. if we make it

She looks at the green hair boy seeing him frowing she shakes her head
Christa: I'm saying we still got a couple of hard months ahead of us.
She gets up and looks at the clouds
Christa: this rain will turn to sleet, then ice,then Snow. It won't be easy.
Vanessa: jeez great encouragement here
Christa: What you think this just a fucking joke well hate to break it to you but it's not
She says glaring at her omid speaks up
Omid: babe calm down okay and Vanessa cut it out.

Christa shakes her head and tends to the fire

Christa: safer then here because of the cold.or so they say. We just need to keep moving north
It goes quiet for a good minute Clementine breaks the silent

Vanessa: I'm sure you do clem from the stories I heard sounded like one cool guy

Christa sighs: I'm gonna go look for more wood. You guys just keep the fire lit

He says grabbing he's rifle she hesitate but let's him come along they walk into the woods the group not being able to see them the fire kept getting lower izuku goes up to it and looks at Clem,duck and Carley
Izuku: try to find something to burn I'll keep tending to it
Clementine looks into her bag as Duck looks around the camp for anything next to him Carley Vanessa kneel down next to izuku
Vanessa: sorry for starting shit I just... It's just been really depressing these past few months and just-
Izuku: it's okay I get it I don't like it either but we just have to give her some more time everything will get better.
Vanessa chuckles: I don't get you man. Some people would just be saying the opposite how can you be so hopefully that things will be okay

They both stare at each other the past months they've gotten closer him being the reason why she's even here in the first place she chuckles and shakes her head

Clementine came up to them she grabs her liter and rolled up rag litting it up and putting on the fire izuku smile as Duck came to them with a log and they put it on the fire making it lite up more
Carley: now we're cooking
Vanessa: thank God finally I'm starving
Duck: yeah
Things finally seem to be looking up that was until the group heard a yell of man screaming
Are you fucking kidding Me!
The group stand up they started hearing more voices they were now worried about omid & Christa
Izuku whispering: Stay behind me and don't make to much noise.
They follow him into the woods looking for the people they began to hear more men

They began to see omid and Christa circle by three men omid having black eyes probably from getting by surprise as one of the men was holding he's rifle.

One man had a pistol not sure how many bullets though and the other guy had spear izuku turn to look at the others
Izuku: Carley take out the one with the rifle I'll take care of spkiy hair and Vanessa you take out spear guy
They nod and moved around to get better potions to aim the hoodie man with omid rifle was about to point it at Christa & omid only for to get shot in the head by Carley

The man with pistol was about to fire but gets hit in the head by izuku arrow,
the man with spear tries to run but gets shot in The shoulder by Vanessa taking him down omid picks up he's rifle and points it at him as the man raise he's hand begging to be let go only to get shot in the head by him
Christa: that's all of them !
She yells out but the gun fire got attention of walkers a lot of em one grab omid by surprise making him fall Carley runs after him and shoots it off, izuku gets grabbed by Vanessa seeing as their more incoming he turns to see Clementine and Duck running away being chased by five of them
Izuku: Clementine! Duck!
Vanessa: Izuku!
She runs after him Christa grabs one of the men pistol and runs up to omid and Carley they see izuku and Vanessa running after the kids they tried to follow them but got cornerd by more walkers making them spilt up.

Clementine and Duck we're running and dodging trees and walkers as more appeared from the woods only for the duo to reach a small cliff at the bottom of a river more walkers started coming towards them duck threw a rock at them as they slowly back away only for Clem to slip grabbing duck shoulder making him fall with her into the river dragging them away
Izuku was few feet away from them when this happens he's eyes widen as he screams
Izuku : Clementine! Duck!
He shoots one walker and stabs the other one while Vanessa shoots the other one he turns to see one grabbing her he aim he's crossbow and shoots it in the head saving her she looks at him and sees him jumping into the river
Vanessa: oh fuck green bean your crazy
She takes a second but jump in after him as more walkers we're coming at them
As the river was taking them way reaching up to surface for some air izuku starts to go unconscious as the river takes them way into whatever direction.

Clementine Felt something shaking her as she opens her eyes to see it was duck
Duck: oh man clem you had no idea how scared I was .. I thought you'd never Wake up.
She started coughing Duck helps her up and she cross her arms together feeling cold Duck hugs her she hugs back
Clementine : we're the others
Duck: I... I don't know we got separated but before we got into the river I saw izuku and Vanessa I'm sure they'll find us.
Clementine: right. We should look around figure out we're we at maybe we can find the others
Duck: I like that plan
The both walk hoping to find some clues were they might be and pray the other Will find them .

Vanessa: the my gun lost in the river all I had was this.
Izuku: yeah.. oh shit Clem and Duck we need to go find them !
Vanessa: hey ... Hey calm down will find them ok just breath
He does trying he's best to calm down as he does he noticed something about Vanessa her neck was bleeding
Izuku: did you get scratched
Vanessa: oh this is nothing don't worry about it
Izuku: it's not nothing Vanessa let me have look we can't let that wound get infected
It goes quiet as he searches he's bag for bandages she then says
Vanessa: it's already infected
Izuku:....what?
She sits down on a rock and moves her shirt and jacket a little showing him.
A bite mark he's eyes widened

Vanessa: the second one got the jump on me.. I .. I'm really scared right now
Izuku: Vanessa I'm so-
Vanessa: Don't.. I don't want my last moments is to see you blame yourself you hear me. You didn't bite me that bastard did

Vanessa: because all my life people only look out for themselves me and my pop had to learn that the hard way... After he was gone it was just me I was nothing a lousy scavenger... But then you happened you and those kids showed me their still good in this world. Because you gave me a chance you've showed me more kindness then anyone else has... I'm happy that I met you izuku

He sits next to her on the Rock looking at the calm river after few minutes he sighs

She hugs him and he hugs her back they didn't let go for awhile finally they break the hug he sees her tearing up and she nods her head he nods back gets up and grabs he's stuff and starts walking into the woods he walked a few feet away from her he turns he's head back to see her still sitting on the rock he turns away and continues walking.

As Clementine & duck walked into the woods they found a camp site some broken cars and trash they found a dog named Sam Duck loved dogs Clementine was happy to. She was searching in trash and found can of beans she smiles and pick it up in the air
Clementine: Duck look!
Duck: oh no way!
He runs up to her and they both sat down on bark as clem was opening it with the pocket knife they found sam was looking at the kids she finally open it and they a little the kids see Sam whining so Clem offered a little to him
Clementine: here you go just a little
But Sam took more making Clem drop the beans she grabs it back from him making him growl at her he then jumps and bites her arm Duck startled yells
Duck: Clem!!!
She punch the dog trying to get it off her dog comes up front of them and kicks it hard making it fall behind the bark tree Clementine back away grabbing the knife and Duck grabbed he's base ball bat but the dog didn't get up they only heard whimpering so Duck helps Clementine up and they Walk slowly and see sam was stabbed in the leg and stomach by some Spike Duck looks away not liking the scene Clementine walks up to the dog and gives it mercy
It was quiet for a moment Clementine looks at duck
Clementine: I'm so-
Duck: let's keep moving we need to find the others if we're going to fix up that wound.
He said to her she nods at him and they started walking again hoping to find the others.
