January 2014

As predictable, it was never the last time, and every time they found themselves locked in the nearest locker room, hotel room or whatsoever. We're good friends now that was what they told people, but none believed it. How could they? When them two couldn't take eyes and hands off each other.

And it didn't matter if their TV relationship had just ended, they just couldn't get enough of each other and of those illicit affairs they had.

Their TV characters had just 'broken up', after the girl, fed up with being just the man's valet, rebelled, leaving him alone after a lost match to continue her career alone. In reality, though, they couldn't but get along even better than what they did when they were technically together.

The girl was also having prolific success at work, where she had also appeared in a few episodes of the reality show Total Divas and, obviously, in the ring. Thanks to her height and muscles, now fitter than ever, she had quickly managed to establish herself as one of the most unstoppable and dominant women in the entire women's division. Randy was immensely proud of her, and the best was yet to come, as she was scheduled to win her first championship, the Divas', the following month at Elimination Chamber.

Sylwia felt happy, for real, still, she could have been happier if Randy finally left Kim. She knew what they were doing was wrong, and completely against her self respect, but she couldn't stop it: he was too much of an addiction and she was way too into it to just let it go, no matter if he wasn't hers to loose and she was living for the hope of it all.

"She's going for the Moonsault!" Michael Cole exclaimed excitedly from the commentators' table, as Sylwia jumped on the third rope, ready to perform her finisher move. "Sylwia Wodiczko wants to end the match and it's game over and good night for Brie Bella!"

As the referee officially took the three count, Sylwia smirked as she got another win over the Bella Twins, and every match only brought her closer to her title, which was held by AJ Lee.

Once the bell rang, Sylwia asked for a microphone, which a staff member handed her. Now, on the centre of the ring, with Brie Bella still laying breathless on the ground, the Polish bombshell kneeled down, grabbing Brie's hair as she started her promo. "What happened today to your... which Bella are you honey? Never mind! This is nothing compared to what will happen to your beloved Divas Champion." She rolled her eyes, letting go of Brie and getting up again. "AJ, honey, I know you're somewhere there listening, don't even bother showing your face to my delightful presence, but just start counting your numbered days as champions, because once you'll be face to face with me..." She let out a laugh. "Moja słodka, you'll return being the nothing you've always been!"

Throwing away the mic, the blonde girl made her way backstage as her music filled the whole arena. Waiting for her, as usual, there was Randy, with a smile on his face and his arms open just for her. Sylwia giggled as the man held her tight, kissing her forehead and then pecking her lips over and over.

"You killed it out there." He complimented her, grabbing her hand and starting walking towards her locker room. "Future champ."

Sylwia giggled again. "Say it again." She said. "I like the sound of it!"

"Future champ." Randy smiled, looking at her with admiration. "Do you know what sound I do like, instead?"

At that, the Pole bombshell couldn't help but laugh loudly, opening her locker room door and pushing the man on the inside. "You're such an horny man, Orton!"

"Can you blame me, Wodiczko?" He teased, looking up and down her body, licking his bottom lip. "But, at least for now, the fun has to be delayed."

"Excuse me?"

That reaction from the girl only made Randy chuckle. "I've got a surprise for you." The man said, ruffling her hair. "Do you trust me?"

Sylwia rolled her eyes, letting herself fall on the couch, still tired from her match. "Do I at least have time to take a shower and get ready?"

"You do." Randy replied, leaning in to kiss her quickly. "I'm going to take a shower too. Take your time, I'll be waiting in the parking lot."

And night fell when Sylwia finally got ready and good to go. The arena was almost empty, if not for some staff members who were cleaning up and some superstars getting ready to leave as well. It was an evening with a sky full of stars, in the mild Los Angeles winter, and when Sylwia spotted Randy, leaning next to a black Bentley convertible, she was completely surprised and shocked.

What was that for? Was it his?

Normally, after a show, all the superstars returned with a common bus to their hotel, so she thought that maybe he just leaned in a random car; still, the bus was nowhere in sight as she walked towards the man with her luggages.

At the sight of the girl, Randy left the car and went towards her, grabbing her luggages in his hands. "What a wonderful sight you are!" He said, leaning in to leave a quick kiss to her lips. "A real pleasure for eyes."

Sylwia chuckled. "Watch out or my beauty will blind you, Orton!" She teased, walking by his side towards his rented car. "What's up with this Bentley? Are we finally getting that vip treatment?"

"Something like that!" Randy smirked, placing her luggages in the back of the car and opening the passenger door for her. "But that's not the only surprise for tonight, pretty girl!"

"You've got my attention now!" She replied as she sat down, with Randy also closing her door, like a true gentleman. Those little gestures reminded her of the times where everything was fine and it was only the two of them.

Randy sat on the driver seat, starting the car and started driving. "The night is long ahead of us, Sylwia!" He smiled, looking at her and placing a hand on her tight.

He let the girl play the music, a mix of Polish rap and international commercial music, and couldn't help but smile as the blonde hummed along to the beat. He knew how much Sylwia loved long night drives, and that night, with wind in her blonde hair, she looked so happy, so beautiful that Randy wished that moment could last forever or, at least, that he could picture it over and over again. And how many times did his eyes move away from the road to rest on the girl...

After some time, they finally reached their destination, which left Sylwia confused, as she turned to look at Randy. "A tattoo shop? Are you serious?"

"Yes." The man nodded, getting out the car and, once again, opening her door for her. Truth to be told, Randy had planned that for quite some time by now; getting his skin inked was nothing new for him, but getting inked with something which would have reminded him of her forever... that was the time to do it. "Want to get a tattoo too, pretty girl?"

At his question, Sylwia widened her eyes. She did not have any tattoos, and needles did not look extremely appealing to her. "I'll pass, thanks." She replied, trying to sound as excited as she could be.

Walking inside the store, Randy's hand never left hers, as the two wrestlers headed straight to a room; well, Randy led her there, because she had no clue where to go. Inside the room, sat a man in his fifties with a thick beard and a beer belly, he seemed to be ready to go to a biker rally. "Randy!" The man said with a smile, greeting the wrestler with a quick side hug. Based on their interaction, Sylwia supposed it was not his first time there. "You finally decided to do it!" The man's grey eyes shifted to Sylwia, reaching out a hand to her. "And you must be his girlfriend!"

Before she could reply -or to better say, come up a reply, because everything was still confusing fucked up-, Randy did it for her. "Yes, she is!" His eyes were stuck on her, just like it was stuck a smile on his face.

"Uhm, Sylwia, nice to meet you." The blonde girl managed to say, shocked from what Randy said. His girlfriend he never said, at least, he never said it to her face.

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl!" The man chuckled, shaking her hand. "I'm Harvey, my pleasure! Randy, man, you're such a lucky bastard for hooking up with such a wonderful creature!"

At his words, Randy's grip around her waist became even tighter, a natural instinct for him to protect her. "Harvey." He said, his icy blue eyes stuck on the man. Everyone could have understood he was mad for what the man dared to say. "I did not understand what you just say. May you say it again?"

Sylwia looked at Randy, amused at knowing that he was that close to perform an RKO to the tattoo artist. He was standing up for her, as he always did, even if he knew perfectly that she was able to do it by herself; and she liked that.

Harvey gulped. "Uhm, I said, you are lucky to have her as a girlfriend. She is nice girl."

Randy nodded at his words. "Yes, I am very lucky. Now let's just work." As Harvey started to collect all his things, Randy looked at Sylwia, who was looking around with curiosity. "Don't tell me it's your first time at a tattoo shop!" He teased her as he took off his black t-shirt.

Her eyes moved firstly to his sculpted abs, then to his face. "No, second time actually. First time was when I accompanied my older brother Krzysztof." She explained with a shrug. "In Poland, obviously."

"Are tattoos artists more educated there?" He couldn't help but ask.

"You can bet they are." She replied. "Why did you bring me here, by the way? Want me to hold your hand? Don't tell me big Randy Orton is scared of needles!" Now it was her teasing him.

Randy chuckled. "Oh, love, nothing scares me." He said, placing a hand on her cheek and caressing it sweetly. "But I won't cry about it if you want to hold my hand."

"Still, you haven't told me the reading of my presence yet."

"You're about to find out."

He gave her a kiss on the forehead before sitting down in the chair and giving Harvey his left arm, already full of tattoos; which only added to Sylwia's confusion.

"You know what, Sylwia?" Harvey said as he found the only free spot of immaculate skin on Randy's arm, which was on the inner side of his triceps. "Your man contacted me at the end of 2011 for this tattoo which he always said was 'special' for a special girl! Now he finally decided to do it!"

At his words, Sylwia widening her eyes. The end of 2011 was when they met for the first time, in the girl's tryouts for WWE. She shook her head, it couldn't be about her, they barely knew then and for sure they did not get along, so that tattoo must have been for his daughter. "That's cool." She replied with a sly smile, taking the empty seat next to where Randy was.

He looked at her and smiled, reaching out to hold her hand.

"Why did you wait three years to dedicate a tattoo to your daughter?" She couldn't help but ask, her voice low so only him could hear her.

In response, Randy laughed. "I already have one for my daughter!" He replied in the end. "This one's for you."

"For me?"

"Yes, for you. From the very first moment I knew it was you."

"I thought you hated me back then..."

"I hated you not being mine." He corrected her.

"Hey lovebirds, keep your hands off each other for a while!" Harvey laughed, as he began inking Randy's skin.

If that was painful, Sylwia couldn't tell, the man showed no emotion; or probably he got used to the pain, based his all inked arms. She carefully watched as Harvey drew a mini viper that crawled in an 's' shape, it was cute, she couldn't lie. Every now and then the three of them shared some little small talks. However, Harvey was done after an hour and half and the finished work looked sensational.

(I literally have no idea how long a tattoo process is long, bear with me.)

"Do you like it?" The bearded man asked, cleaning the foam on his afterwork and handing Randy a mirror.

Randy looked at his fresh new tattoo, admiring every detail. "I do. Great work." He said, his eyes shifting to Sylwia, who was admiring his tattoo as well. "What about you? Do you like it?"

She hummed in response, slightly touching the now sensitive skin of his tricep. "Why a snake, thou? Are you calling me one?"

"What? No!" Randy hushed to say, panicking a bit. "Because..."

"Relax!" Sylwia laughed, waving back her hair. "I'm just teasing! It looks amazing, I really like it!"

"Want to get one too?" The man asked with a smirk, circling her waist to bring her closer to his body. "What you say?"

"Still a pass for me." The girl nervously laughed. "Don't I have to ask the company for a permission, though?" She was sure she heard some divas talking about that one of those days, but she did not bother really listen to it. It was not enough drama worthy for Sylwia to mind. She circled his neck and laid her forehead on his. "So..."

"So..." Randy smiled.

"I'll leave you two alone." Harvey cleared his throat, awkwardly leaving the room as fast as he could. As if Randy and Sylwia even remembered his presence, or his now absence.

"I think what you did is an important gesture." The blonde girl spoke. "And I really appreciate it, also because this is like, all life permanent..."

"Because you are all life permanent here." Randy grabbed her left hand and brought it to his chest, as to let her hear his heartbeats. "Inked on my skin, inked on my heart."

At his words, Sylwia giggled. "Smooth, Orton!" She looked up into his eyes. "And that girlfriend part?" She held it back for too long, she had to know.

Randy nodded at that, showing her a smile. "What about that? I thought we both knew we are not friends."

"Well, technically I cannot be your girlfriend if you already have one." She pointed out, referring to the fact that Randy was still with Kim. "We've never had this talk, anyway."

"Because there is no need." He spoke, caressing her round face. "You're mine, my little Polish girl, and I'm yours." He smiled again.

And it was true, she was his, but he was not totally hers, and all those pretty gestures, words from him were only a drug for Sylwia that only worked the first few hundred times.

Orlando, Florida, December 2023

As promised, Sylwia showed up at Randy's house, holding Rafał on one side, and a tray of pierogi and a Polish cooking book under her arm. She was on time, not a minute early, not one late, but she was already getting impatient of waiting at his door for ten seconds more.

"Good afternoon!" Randy welcomed her and Rafał with a smile, noticing the irritated look on the woman's face. What did he do wrong this time? He leaned in and grabbed her tray and her book. "Please, welcome!"

"Do not close the door!" Sylwia told him, handing him her BMW keys. "There are a pot full of gołąpki and makowiec in my car! Go grab them!"

Randy looked at her in disbelief, was he his waiter now? But he knew better than to argue back with that woman; it was pointless and he needed and wanted her on her best side. Getting her even madder was not even an option, especially if he wanted her back. "I thought Rafał and I had to do the cook..."

"An host never shows up empty handed." The Polish woman pointed out. "It's rude, and I'm not rude when it comes to good manners." She gestured at the Polish cooking book still in Randy's hands. "Another present for you. Don't worry, it's written in English."

"Thank you for the thought..." The man narrowed his eyebrows, trying his best to not laugh. Placing down the tray and the book, he gestured the woman and the kid to sit down. "Make yourself at home, please! The girls will be downstairs in a while!"

In response, Sylwia just nodded, placing down her son, taking off her jacket and looking around the living room. "Rafał, zachowuj się! Nie każ nam źle wyglądać!" She addressed to her son, who could have turned three years old in just a couple of days. Looking around, the young woman noticed all the photos scattered around the room, portraying Randy and his daughters, his family, and one in particular caught her eye. Grabbing the frame, Sylwia smiled slightly. She remembered that photo, it was one of the first pictures they took together, eleven years ago. It was a photo taken after their first real date, she was surprised he kept it in plain sight.

However, she put it down immediately as soon as she heard the sound of footsteps, taking her son by the hand and acting as if nothing had happened, with absolute nonchalance.

Alanna and Brooklyn hurried to meet the Polish woman and her son, hugging her as soon as they saw her standing in the living room. "Sylwia!" They said together.

"What a welcome!" The woman couldn't help but chuckle, hugging the girls back. "Nice to see you again!"

The girls giggled and then hugged Rafał too, with Alanna holding him into her arms, like an older sister did. "We're both so happy you finally came! You have no idea how much dad freaked out at the thought of you changing your mind..."

"Girls." Their father's voice made the girls fall silent. He did not sound mad, but he would have loved to not look like a total simp in that moment. "Can someone please close the door?" His hands were full of Polish food and he rushed to the kitchen to place everything down, as his youngest daughter went to close the door for him.

"May we offer you guys something?" Alanna asked to Sylwia and Rafał, still into her arms.

Sylwia checked the time and shook her head. "Nothing for now, but thank you!" She politely replied. "In fact, I recall your father promising us girls an afternoon full of shopping, while him and this other pretty boy will do the cooking." She pointed out, looking at Randy with narrowed eyebrows.

Both Alanna and Brooklyn giggled at her sentence, excited for a good shopping session.

"I won't get away with this, will I?" Randy shook his head in defeat.

"No way honey." Sylwia patted him on his shoulder. "Listen, Rafał is carrying in his backpack his English books, he's really trying to learn..."

"Say less!" The man sweetly smiled at her. "I'll gladly help him. You girls go have fun." He grabbed his wallet from his trousers and handed Sylwia his credit card. "It's on me."

"No, it's on me." The blonde woman argued back, refusing to grab it. "Let me spoil your daughters!"

"Alanna." Randy called, now handing his credit card to his oldest daughter. "Buy whatever thing you girls want and just be sure it won't be Sylwia paying." He took a step closer towards the Pole woman, leaning in against her ear. "Daddy always spoils all his girls."

At that, Sylwia couldn't contain a laugh, unconsciously putting her arm around his torso with a side hug. "Fuck off!" She playfully spoke, breaking the contact few seconds after and composing herself. "Let's go girl!"

That afternoon turned out to be a lot of fun. It was not even a little bit awkward for Sylwia and Randy's daughters, as they bounded a lot. Well, she already was somewhat close to Alanna, but now she managed to do it also with Brooklyn, which was a very nice thing. Also because a shopping session always reunited everyone, didn't it?

Randy also had a nice time with Rafał, even though the language barrier. He was a nice kid and, even at his little age, he resembled his mother a lot, not just because it was a mini version of her aesthetically, but also when it came to his attitude.

And it went even better when they reunited for dinner, the girls telling Randy how much fun they had, showing him what they bought and giving him a little present too, a thought coming from Sylwia self; and the woman was quite surprised too in seeing her son also knowing now some new words in English. From the outside, they looked like a real happy family. The dinner was so much fun, with Randy's daughter's first time trying some real Polish food, with them telling stories from the past, the funniest ones.

The girls couldn't help but notice the way their father looked at Sylwia and how Sylwia looked at him, which only made them daydream about them being finally happy together.

After dinner, the girls took Rafał to play on the outside, as Randy and Sylwia managed to clean everything. Once done, the Polish woman went to sit on the armrest of the couch; it was weird for many, but she always sat there, as to claim she was more comfortable. It was like that since she was a kid and with her family all sat on their couch in their flat in the suburbs of Katowice. Soon after, Randy joined her, sitting next to her and laying his hand on her knee.

"The girls spent a lovely time with you." He stated, his voice low and his eyes stuck on her. "I did too. We could have many more of moments like this."

"We could have had plenty of these in the past." She snapped back, but she did not sound too mad, almost as she was resigned to what could have been but wasn't. "But apparently our story had to go like this."

At her words, Randy nodded. "But, as I said, we can now change our future." He straightened up and cupped the woman's face into his hands. "I always knew it was you, and every little thing just confirms me even more. Give me the chance. Let's finally be happy."

The woman did not reply straight away, her eyes looking down his arms, noticing his tattoo about her was still there. She weakly smiled, touching it. "I thought you somehow removed it."

"I could never." The man smiled back, bringing her to sit on his lap. "The kids are on the outside, I think this alone moment is more than deserved."

Another laugh escaped from Sylwia's lips, as she laid her head on his shoulder, putting herself in a more comfortable position. "Yeah, it is." She murmured, as he placed a kiss on her forehead.

"I bought something for Rafał." Randy said after few minutes, causing her to look up at him. "I know his birthday is coming soon."

"Oh... There was no need..." Sylwia said speechless, not expecting for him to even remember it.

"There was." Randy said, placing a stoke of her hair behind her ear. "I want you to be part of my life, and me to be part of yours. Rafał is your son and obviously he's important to me as well. We can all be that big power family everyone dream of."

Sylwia nodded, not hiding a smile on her face, liking what she was hearing.

That big power family, she only knew how long she waited for him to say that.
