────── LUKE DANES NEVER DID PLAN FOR ANYTHING. He certainly didn't plan to father a child at the age of twenty but life has a funny way of working out, and Luke cannot be more grateful for the phone call that came through on that morning in December, a few days after his daughter was born.
────── HE EXPECTED to be greeted by the woman who didn't inform him of his daughter but arriving at the hospital, Luke found that his daughter had been abandoned by her own mother who packed her things up and snuck out of this hospital without another word.
────── NO PHONE CALL, no note, and no words were exchanged with Luke and his last ex who brought his daughter into the world. Instead, he stepped up to the responsibility of being a father and he brought his daughter home, aiming to give her a life that her mother failed to give to her.
────── HE NAMED HER LUCIANA after days of deliberating. The town of Stars Hollow were extremely welcoming of the new addition to the town, and they offered their help whenever Luke needed it. The town liked to joke about her nickname being Lucy, arguing that "Luke and Lucy" was an excellent name for a duo.
────── DESPITE THE LACK OF A motherly figure in her life, Lucy never felt alone. She was raised by an extraordinary man who brought her only happiness and a wonderful life. Furthermore, the town she grew up in loved her like their own daughter and she often ignores the fact that she may never know who her mother really is.
────── GROWING UP, Lucy can proudly say that she is just like her father in some sense. Sure, she doesn't exactly know where she's inherited her brain from, and neither does Luke, but she and her father share the same attributes, eye colour, hair colour, and attitudes. In other words, they're not only father and daughter but also best friends.
────── FROM A YOUNG AGE, Lucy was competitive and that continues into her teenage years where she finds herself constantly in competition with another perfect daughter— Rory Gilmore. They're friendly with one another but they're constantly compared to at school until Rory gets into a prestigious private school, a school that Lucy wished she was good enough to get into.
────── HOWEVER, DESPITE THAT, Lucy is determined to get into Yale, a school she's dreamt about since she was a child. No one in her family had been to college and she was determined to be the first Danes in the family to get into an Ivy-League and go off to college to make her father proud.
────── ALL LUCY WANTS TO DO IS make her dad proud even if he's already beyond proud of her. She always thinks about how he gave up so much of his life for her and how he stepped up to the responsibility of being a father without hesitating and Lucy wants to show her gratitude by making something of herself, showing him that she can be perfect.
────── AS LUCY NAVIGATES through school and home life, she meets a boy who quite literally turns her world upside down, giving her a perspective she never thought she could have. Now all these odd feelings are arising, and she isn't sure what to do with them expect act upon them. But will that send her down the wrong path? Will she go from being perfect to imperfect in the space of one boy?

This story is my first Gilmore Girls book. I really wanted to write a Tristan story as I think he should've been given more of a storyline had he not joined One Tree Hill.
