"You have a point but Grading is there for us to evaluate the threat of the curse and the level of skill a sorcerer needs to exorcise it. For example, Grade 4 and Grade 3 curses are generally what most of us encounter in our lifetime. These may be weak for us but, for civilians, they a fatal. From Grade 2, the curses also gain intelligence, there are many cases where even strong Grade 3 curses show signs of intelligence. Not only are these strong but due to intelligence they can be fatal and let's not talk about Grade 1's. If they are left unchecked, many people will die"
Yoshi noticed that her grandma didn't speak about Special grade curses and asked "What about special grades grandma?"
Kairi laughed it off "Haha, the special grade curses are anomalies. They are natural disasters for sure. They have the potential to decimate cities but that kind of power rarely appears. How should I say this? In a sorcerer's lifetime, he/she will only encounter less than 3 special grades at most. Even that is an exaggeration"
Kairi decided to emphasize the rarity of special grades.

"You said three great clans rule the jujutsu society and what does this have to do with special grades?"
"The three great clans have influence over the higher-ups because those three clans produce sorcerers in every generation and have a squad of sorcerers like a personal military. However, Higher-ups in jujutsu society are still a separate body. Only those sorcerers who are grade 1 can become an influential figure or even become a political figure in government body related to jujutsu society"
"Only Grade 1? But Special grades are the strongest"
"Yoshi, Special Grade sorcerer is not a title to praise their strength. Rather, it's the label of the sorcerers with dangerous potential, which means they cannot be controlled by any means. Hence, Special grades don't have much power politically. Of course, there is one exception to this rule"

"Yes. Gojo Satoru, the special grade sorcerer of the Gojo clan. As a special grade he's politically tied however, he's also a clan head of the Gojo clan. So, He still retains political power."

"You will learn it as you grow up but for now, think of it like this, when a crucial decision is needed to be taken, all Grade 1's need to express their opinion. Depending on that, the decision will be taken. Even the higher-ups had to abide by the decisions of all Grade 1 sorcerers even if they were the ultimate ones in power"

"I'm saying, don't let your opponent expand their domain first. If it's a curse, exorcise it as quickly as possible. If it's a sorcerer, kill him before he can even cast it. If you failed to do so and your enemy expanded his domain, use a simple domain like this. "
Kairi formed a hand seal. A small circle of cursed energy expanded from her foot and in an instant the circle radius increased.
"This is a simple domain. You can use chants and gestures to cast it in an instant or cast it like this with just a gesture. This was originally meant to be passed down through Sadatsuna Ashiya's school of thought and was forbidden to spread to outsiders through binding vows. However, other sorcerers saw the technique in action and were able to copy it for themselves, something the bindings did not account for."

"Yes. Initially Created as a counter for domain expansions, Simple Domain neutralizes a domain's guaranteed-hit function by affecting its barrier and not the imbued cursed technique. However, against a proper domain expansion, Simple Domain can only hope to buy its user time. Powerful domains can destroy simple domains within seconds"
Cancelling the technique, Kairi continued "In my opinion. This technique has potential. Simple Domain barriers can be customized with different rules and binding vows to affect those within it, both caster and target. Now, do it"

Yoshi fumbled hearing the order from her grandma, she wanted to train in it for some time to cast it perfectly. She wanted to show how great she was when she showed the perfect result.
"Grandma, don't I need time to train?"
"Yoshi, I'm not asking you to show me the new shadow-style techniques. It's a swordsmanship skill. I'm asking you to cast a simple domain, a non-innate cursed technique"

Kairi has been observing Yoshi all this while. She has seen the slowed progress of Yoshi when she trained as she grew up due to a change in perspective compared to fast initial progress. The only training you will ever need in jujutsu sorcery is controlling cursed energy and getting used to fighting. Once you achieve that, there's nothing more to train to grow as a sorcerer. You just have to learn new techniques and as you grow up, your life experiences will shape your power of cursed energy. Your accumulated negative emotions can produce more cursed energy and even your mindset will strengthen it"
"But, when you taught me how to create barriers and strengthen my body with cursed energy, you asked me to train"
"Ah, that's for you to get used to the feel of cursed energy and control your residue. To be honest, you did great on your first try. As I said, sorcery is not a discipline, you will understand it as you grow up. Don't let the mindset of training will make you stronger shackle you. Now, cast a simple domain. I'm sure you will nail it on your first try. Just believe in yourself and your control over cursed energy"
Yoshi began to cast simple domain and thought 'Grandma never lies to me. I will just have to trust her'

Yoshi shouted with excitement. She can sense the barrier around her as it's made out of her own cursed energy.
"Good, that can disrupt a domain. However, depending on your weapon of choice, you can customize it. I will teach you the new shadow style later. For now, that's enough for today"
