Yeah so, things just kinda just flew by quickly. Holidays swept by so quickly I couldn't even see it coming. It went faster than how fast I run into the electronics shop during Black Friday to get crushed by a bunch of morons to get a brand new toaster on a discount. Yeah, a toaster, don't judge me.
During the holidays, I mostly just binged Netflix, read a few book series and I went volunteering to earn some muggle money, well that's most of it.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I went to a karate tournament and ended up fracturing my opponent's toe. Ok firstly in my defence he was the one who fouled. He did a mistake so I ended up accidentally fracturing his toe.
One special thing I did this holiday was, a whole research on how to understand girls. This is totally not for me ok? I did it for Malfoy. There is no reason for me to research to understand girls and make her fall in love with me, I'm awesome as myself.
Well then it's just the same story all over again. Go to the platform, have a train ride to a creepy old castle, eat dinner in the castle, then go sleep hoping the magic holding up the castle doesn't fail you and finally the new day starts. Now I'm currently in that first day after a long holiday phase.
Gloomy people in the hallways everyone was half-asleep the only place where you could smell excitement was Scorpius and Albus's table. Seeing Rose after a month must have been such a bliss for him. Love really does drive you crazy. I wish I never go through that phase.
I slowly crept through the great hall with my food and reached Scorpius's table. "Rose looks so pretty today, don't you think?" Scorpius said. "That's just the thirty fifth time one Scorp, say that fifteen more times and you'll hit fifty" Albus said sarcastically.
"She looks sleep deprived" I said, scanning the look of Rose and immediately recognising the tired eyes she tried to hide with her makeup and sat down. "So, do you have any plans?" Scorpius asked me. "Well, I have a vague idea" I said, taking a bite of my salad. Urgh, the salad was so raw without any dressing, it's depressing.
"Party started without me?" said the most annoying voice in the world. Yes it's the only and only LILY LUNA POTTER!
"Why is she here?" I asked, giving a look at Lily then turning to Scorpius. "Well, it's good to have someone who knows Rose really well on our side, '' Scorpius said. I just saw that as a lame excuse, why do you need Potter when you have me? Am I not good enough alone?
She sat next to me and gave me a mocking smile as she leaned against me. I gently pushed her away, very annoyed by her closeness.
"So what are we doing again?" Lily asked. "We are gonna get Scorpius his Rose" Albus said, annoyed. It was very clear that me and Albus were not interested in this and we were clearly forced into this. "Perhaps we should visit a florist if Scorpius wants a Rose" I said annoyed.
"Scamander, your jokes are terrible" Lily shot at me. "I wasn't even joking," I said, squinting my eyes. "Guys, keep your love story outta here, this is about me and Rose '' Scorpius said. "Dude, don't ship me with her, she's with Blake Davis'' I said defending Lily (To be honest its cause I didn't like getting shipped with her for absolutely no reason, I just wanted to make sure I don't sound super selfish)
"WHO THE HELL IS BLAKE DAVIS?" Albus shot up. "Dude, do you read the news?" Scorpius asked. "IT WAS ON THE NEWS?!" Albus said, screaming. Everyone in the hall was looking at Albus. Albus slowly came back to his composure. "Ok that doesn't matter now! But you're telling me about this guy, Lily" Albus said, frowning.
"I'm not with him anymore, we just had a date and we just agreed to be friends cause he was just like a brother to me, he didn't give me the chills" Lily said. "GOOD JOB" Albus said proudly. "Wow, so you're taking up after your brother huh? Playgirl Potter" I said smirking.
"GUYS! WHAT ARE WE HERE FOR AGAIN?" Scorpius reminded us of the original reason we had gathered. "Ok, so" I started. "Out of everyone in the world why are you asking this idiot for advice, he's 6 feet away from being tall and 6 feet away from talking to a girl" Lily said.
"YOU'RE SHORTER THAN ME" I said. I was very concerned when it came to my height. "Scorp, with these both in the same group there is no way we can get this done" Albus muttered. Scorpius then took leadership and said, "I don't care whether you love or hate each other now what I care about is Rose" he said. "I already told you you should be visiting a florist then" I said sarcastically.
"You guys are exhausted, '' Lily said, letting out a groan. "You're the reason why the conversation even took a turn Lily and from now all of you JUST SHUT UP!" Albus said furiously. There was just silence after that. Ok, now he told me to shut up, wasn't I supposed to be telling them about my research but it's ok, Albus told me to shut up I told myself.
"Lysander" Albus said. "Mmmm" I said mockingly pointing to my mouth. "Dude seriously just un-shut up and speak!" Albus said annoyed. OH GOSH I REALLY LOVED PISSING PEOPLE OFF.
"Ok so there are five types of girls" I started, "The first one is the one who likes you back openly which is definitely not Rose, second is the one who actually hates you which could be Rose and the other one is the one who likes you but doesn't admit it which again can be Rose, forth type is the one who is not sure whether they like you are not and I'm pretty sure that's not Rose and finally the last one is the one who dates or acts like she likes you for the fun of breaking your heart which 100% is not Rose" I completed.
"First we need to figure out if she likes you, even if it's a tiny bit" Lily said. "That's what we have been trying to do for ages idiot!" Albus said in distraught. "The simple solution to this is to date someone else, it's a classic" Lily said. "Is it cause you have used it before so that Lysander likes you?" Scorpius said laughing. I couldn't help myself but to comment.
"I wouldn't be pleased if you did that" I said, smiling. "Oh don't think you're some kind of a big shot Scamander, what worthy quality do you even have? Firstly you're like 5 '4, that's too short for me" Lily said. NO! SHE PLAYED THE HEIGHT ABUSE CARD AGAIN!
Before I could start an argument Scorpius cut me off and said, "I can't imagine myself with someone else except Rose" he said with a saddened voice. "Look, this is just for figuring out if she likes you, if she likes you, then she would impulsively date someone else to make you jealous so then it becomes a war " Lily said.
I added on by saying, "The best part is that you both will be fake dating so you can break it off anytime, impulsively". "But what if I accidentally like the girl I'm fake dating" Scorpius said. "Then continue and act like your whole Rose obsession phase never happened GOSH! SCORPIUS! ISN'T IT LIKE OBVIOUS?" Albus said annoyed.
"I don't want to third wheel anyone, I'll feel bad and guilty about it" Scorpius said.
"All is fair in love and war" Lily commented.
"Rose is a prize you gotta cheat to win Malfoy, its not easy" I said. I can't believe I have come to such a lowly stage. If I ever go crazy over anyone (THIS IS AN ASSUMPTION NEVER GONNA HAPPEN, I PROMISE), I'll never ever use his jealousy method. If she can't like me for who I am, hell her.
"I'm going to prepare myself for this" Scorpius said dramatically. "Who are you going to fake a date with?"Albus asked. "There are many people who like me, it won't be hard, that's not even the main thing to worry about, the main thing is to make sure that Rose dates some other guy so we can confirm that she likes me back" Scorpius said.
"This is so weird" I said, brushing my hair upwards. "SCAMANDER IS THAT JENNIE?" Lily said. My reflex immediately made me crawl under the table. Scorpius, Albus and Lily started laughing like idiots. Nice joke I thought. Of course Jennie wasn't there. I came up angrily. "At this point, Jennie is his boggart" Lily said laughing.
"Not funny Potter" I groaned weakly, quite embarrassed. "It is Scamander, I have a better sense of humor than you" she said.
"I'm going to class, come on Al" Scorpius said as he stuffed the rest of the breakfast in his mouth and he and Albus left. "It's arithmetics, we should go too" Lily said. "I'll only sit with you, if you don't beat me" I said.

"Anyone tell me the answer for question 56" the professor said.
Lily started when I cut her off and said, "84". Ha! I'm faster than you.
Lily started tugging and pinching my arm. "Dude, stop" I said, struggling with pain. "Give me a chance, nerd" she said. "Not my problem, I'm good at this" I said kinda giggling. "Don't giggle, I'll kill you" she said.
She stole my dialogue.
"That's my dialogue" I said. "You don't own English" Lily said, annoyed. "Tsk tsk, you're so tiring Potter, how do people even keep up with you?" I asked her. I swear, she's so active all the time, I'm dead, sleepy or half awake for more than 99% of my life.
"Anyways, I expect you to see you and Jennie on Valentine's day" she said, giving an evil smirk. "You've been talking a lot to Val lately, I can just see it" I said. Val was the one bullying me for a few days for now about me and Jennie.
"Well, yes" she said, smiling. "You're a better option than Jennie" I said. "I'm not that bad, Lysander" she said. "You are, trust me" I said, giving her a bored look.
"Good luck with Jennie" Lily said laughing. I took my textbook and hit her.
"POTTER AND SCAMANDER OUT!"
