Wynter placed her phone back into her pocket when Andrea came to sit down beside her.
"I'm surprised Taylor didn't ask for you to go backstage." Andrea said with a chuckle, handing Wynter a water bottle, who muttered a small 'thank you'.
"I told her last minute so she would have to wait until the end of her show."
A notification from Andrea's phone ruined their small talk. Wynter looked away to show respect, but a chuckle from the older swift raised her curiosity.
"Mau, dear, someone's asking for you backstage." She showed her her daughter's message, shaking her head in amusement.
"I'll text her back. Thanks, Andrea." Wynter once again took her phone out, a chuckle slipping out.

Before the encore started, Wynter slipped away from the crowds, towards the backstage. Paul was once again guiding her to ensure her safe journey through the crowds.
Surprisingly, a few Swifties asked her for pictures which she happily agreed to.
Unlike before, she didn't wait in the singer's dressing room, instead she waited at the entrance of the backstage. It was open enough for a few fans to see her watching Taylor with a proud smile, despite the dark arena.
Once Taylor did her infamous exit, she ran out from the side of the stage to get to where Wynter was.
Taylor was practically sprinting towards the brunette, with a wide smile on her face. Wynter decided to make Taylor's life easier and walked towards her too.
The impact of the hug earned a grunt from Wynter and made them stumble a few steps backwards. Luckily, the brunette was able to find her footing quickly to avoid them from toppling over.
"Geez, missed me that much?" Wynter joked, wrapping her arms around Taylor's waist. They both knew that fans were watching them, some were even recording the small moment, but they couldn't care less. It was normal to hug your best friend, right?
"Let go, Ali, you're all sweaty!" The younger girl feigned disgust, but she made no move to pull away from the singer.
"I have a surprise, Tay, but I kinda need my hands so I can show you it." Wynter chuckled when Taylor pulled away with a raised brow. She took this chance to grab the bouquet of felt tulips from one of the guards behind them.
She proudly showed it to Taylor with a small smile. "Tadaaa! Congratulations for a successful world tour, Miss Taylor Swift! I figured you'd appreciate these type of flowers more since they don't wither and last longer. They didn't have hydrangeas so I chose tulips instead."
Taylor's mouth was wide open in shock. She loved how Wynter knew she preferred paper or felt flowers, for they didn't wither. What caught her attention the most however, was the CEO's last line.
"You still remember that I love hydrangeas?"
Wynter nodded slowly with a shrug, acting as if it was normal to remember a miniscule detail about your best friend from 10 years ago.
Without any warning, Taylor pulled her into a hug, making sure to not squish the flowers in the process. Wynter chuckled when they almost fell on the floor again.
The fans watched this interaction in awe and in shock. They reacted as if they were watching a sapphic movie wherein the main characters are stuck in an unrequited love.
"I'll show you my surprise next, come backstage." Taylor held the younger girl's hand and practically dragged her backstage.
As they walked through backstage, Wynter couldn't help but wonder how long the universe would allow them to enjoy interacting in public before it all comes crashing down on them.
Once they reached Taylor's dressing room, she felt her back hitting the door and the blonde's lips on hers immediately.
It took a few seconds for her to register what was going on before she reluctantly kissed Taylor back. She allowed Taylor to pull away first, an unreadable look on her face.
When Taylor saw Wynter's expression, she immediately worried that she overstepped a boundary.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have—" Her rambling was cut off by the brunette giving her a small smile.
"It's fine, Ali. It's just that— you have a boyfriend, Tay... and we promised to act as friends for as long as we are friends." Wynter pursed her lips before tucking a few loose strands of Taylor's hair behind her ear.
"Making out isn't typically something friends do." She added, with a chuckle. She obviously noticed the pink tint on Taylor's cheek from their current position and from Wynter's action, but just chose not to mention it.
"Who said I have a boyfriend?" Taylor asked with a sheepish grin. Wynter furrowed her brows in confusion, looking at the blonde as if she just spoke simlish.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't have a boyfriend."
"Yes you do, what happened to Calvin?"
"Stop playing dumb, Mau. It doesn't suit you." Taylor chuckled teasingly.
"I actually don't understand you, Taylor. Or maybe I do but I don't want to assume things so— just please explain, love."
"I broke up with him yesterday, Maui. I'm single, you're not a mistress anymore." Taylor earned a playful shove on the shoulder from the younger woman— who was still pinned at the door—because of the last line.
"You're serious?" Wynter asked skeptically, raising a challenging brow at the singer. She was physically stopping herself from smiling widely at Taylor's 'surprise'.
The nod and grin Taylor had was the confirmation Wynter needed to flip their positions around. The blonde was wearing heels so she was slightly taller than Wynter, but that didn't stop her from towering over her.
"I feel like an arsehole for celebrating a moment you should be heartbroken about, but all I can say is— it took you long enough." Wynter finally allowed herself to smile teasingly at Taylor, slowly inching her face closer.
"We'll take it slow, love. One step at a time. For now, we'll just be friends who make out occasionally." Wynter said with a chuckle, before trapping her best friend's lips in a passionate yet soft kiss.
