साया बन के तेरा साया,
चलूँगा संग तेरे

Reyaansh's POV

“Why do you keep a phone if you don't have to use it?” I scoffed at the sudden attack.

Kainaat stared between mom and me while biting her lips.

Mom's worried gaze shifted from me to Kainaat as I carefully made her sit on the sofa while holding her shoes in my hands.

“What happened?” “Kainaat,” “What happened to your foot?” “How did this happen?” A series of gasps echoes in the room as everybody circles around Kainaat.

Koi mujhse bhi kuch puchlo.

“If Ajay saw his daughter hurt, he would kill me and you.” Dad squeezed my shoulder in a warning.

“What about Akash and his manager?” Dad asked.

“Akash is gone. His manager, Harsh, on the other hand, is our problem.”

“What do you mean?” Dad frowned along with chachu by his side.

I ignore their looks and move towards Kainaat who is being bombarded with questions.

“Beta, Ye to pagal hai. Iske piche nahi jana chahiye tha tumhe.” Mom rubs Kainaat's shoulder, who already has her head on my mom's shoulder, with a fake pout on her face.

“Bhabhi, aap mujhe bula lete. Aese akele nahi jana chahiye tha.” Ayaan spoke. Sometimes I'm proud of these four siblings of mine, but sometimes they annoy the fuck out of me. Except Zaisha.

“They threatened me to not tell anyone.” Kainaat's sad expression is so fake, she is just trying to rile me up by thinking that mom loves Kainaat more, however she doesn't know that this is a scene that I would die for.

My mom and My wife together are the gift of God for me.

“All this nonsense was done to save Akash?” Dad asks.

“About that…”, I take a pause to inhale sharply, “sit down everyone. I have to say something or rather tell you something.”

“Where is Chachi?” I ask as everyone is here except her. She definitely got to know about Akash.

“Here.” A weak voice echoed, chachi descended the stairs while chachu went to take her hand. Her face looked weak, she cried. No matter what he did, he was still her brother.

Blood is thicker than water.

She sat on her seat and Ayaan held her free hand while Aditya kept his hand on her shoulder. Thank god she has them to support her. Emotionally.

“So, the news is that I found the missing manager and the good news is that I also found the third friend.” Everyone's eyes turned wide, and my mom gasped out, her eyes filling with tears.

Kainaat frowned at the reaction.

Of course.

She doesn't know the third man.

Kainaat's POV

Ab ye third friend kon hai?

I am aware that this family has been hiding a lot of stuff from me, but a new revelation every day will probably kill me. By the end of this 'talk' I might really need a doctor.

Gasps echo in the room, and I look around to see everyone's eyes wide. Beside me, Reyaansh's mom had tears in her eyes, and I couldn't help but feel a wave of pity rush into me.

This lady right here is what I consider as a strong woman. Lost her first child, yet she is standing in front of us, raising her other two kids with such love and rarely making them feel neglected.

“H-how?” She was the first one to say something, even though her eyes were full of tears, she still took some courage out to ask her questions.

“Akash's manager, Harsh Agarwal, is the same man who tortured bhai and now he is after Kainaat.” Reyaansh sighed out and kept his hand on her mother's shoulder, slowly comforting her.

My heart aches for them, losing the first child of their house was enough trauma, now knowing that the same man is back again to haunt them.

To haunt me.

“Are you okay, my child? Did he hurt you in any way?” Revati maa turned towards me, with glistening eyes a sense of concern could be easily seen. I felt my heart thumping around as a wave of embarrassment rushed in my veins.

I was doubting these people.

How wrong I was to think that they would do anything bad to their child.

My head shook in a no and I lifted my lashes to see Reyaansh, who slowly rubs his thumb around his mother's knuckles, she does not cry, but everybody's gaze is stuck on her. As if they are waiting for her reaction.

“Why is he after Kainaat?” She asks, frowning.

“I don't think he has to do anything with me, from my perspective this plan of his, to trap me, was a warning. Considering, he was not surprised when Reyaansh arrived, he was not scared at all. Even before that, his threats of doing terrible things seemed fake to me.”  I say, trying to sound more mature, even though I am baffled by this situation.

Reyaansh looks at me with a perplexed expression on his face.

“She's right. If he really wanted to not let Reyaansh know, then he would have done this on a different day. He chose to do it today as he was aware that Reyaansh would be with Akash, he took advantage of the situation.”  Abhay uncle spoke while a knot formed between his eyebrows.

Wait a damn minute!

Reyaansh was with Akash?

The same Akash who tried to shoot him?

I glanced at Reyaansh and saw that he was already looking at me. Oh, so he is aware that he was caught.

Then why didn't he tell me?

I scribbled a mental note in my brain to inquire about this. Well, this only consists of asking him.

“What do you want to do?” Chachu asks while looking at Reyaansh.

“Let's see his next move, then we will proceed.”

I feel utterly confused in this conversation, every word they speak does not resonate with my brain since they thought that it was an incredible idea to hide snippets of information from me.

Everyone in this room is aware about something that I did not get the privilege to know.

“Wait for the right time.” Reyaansh's words rang in my ear.

Sure.

The appropriate time would perhaps be with me lying down, soulless. Then they would tell my limp body about everything.

How bad can it be?

“Kainaat, the doctor suggested that you should get some rest.” Reyaansh's worried gaze on me made a cocoon of comfort inside me. I am not aware whether it's toxic or not, but it brings me happiness when someone takes care of me.

A sense of solace runs in my veins whenever people around me consider me. When my mom feeds me while I'm sick, or When Ansh massages me when I am on my period.

When he doesn't mind me being a clingy monster, one day I was so high on emotions that I didn't allow him to go to work and acted as if he was my pillow, smuggling me closer to him, crying for absolutely no reason, sleeping in his warmth.

Yes. He is my pillow. He witnesses my crying, sleeping, laughing, and everything else. Nonetheless, he stays by my side every night to provide me with warmth.

Okay, I'm overthinking this.

With a curt nod, I try to lift myself up, but Ansh's hand wraps around the back of my thighs and his other hand behind my shoulder as he swiftly picks me up, making my breath hitch.

I cannot seem to gather the courage to lift my lashes and look at the family's reaction. Awkwardness rushed inside me as I felt my skin heating up.

Ansh, who doesn't seem to give a fuck about any of the stairs, moves around and quickly walks in the direction of our room.
Just as we approach the stairs, my eyes widen. I don't want us to fall.

“Ansh, We don't want you back to be broken, so please let me walk on my own.” He didn't listen to me, rather he started saying, “Kainaat?”

“Yes?”

“You don't have to worry about my back, I can climb thousands of stairs with you and still have the energy to fuck you until you pass out, so you can shut up, baby.” A red hue covered by skin at his stupid remark.

“I have a question, Ansh.”

“Ask.” He opens the door to our room and lays me on the bed.

“Are you sure that I am your first?”

“No, I used to have sex with ladies before.” A shock ran down my body at his revelation. I felt my soul leaving my body while he shrugged and looked at me like I am an alien.

“You said I was your f-first?” My tongue refuses to cooperate and I stutter.

“Emotionally first, but I used to have sex with other women. I had my needs.” Anger rushed inside me at his comment.

“What the fuck do you mean by that?”

“You know what I mean, butterfly.”

He held out his hand to touch me, but I shrugged it off.

He seems so okay with this.

No.

“And what the fuck is emotional first?” A frown formed between my eyebrows. He sighed and sat beside me, but I moved to the edge of the bed.

“You can understand, Kainaat. It was just physical.”

A strong wave of disgust washed over me at these words, I thought the first was supposed to be special and not with random strangers.

I moved back until I couldn't and looked at the wall.

He chuckled at my reaction, and before I could pick up the vase beside me to hit his face with, he started laughing loudly.

A crease formed on my forehead and I boreholes at his unfazed figure with my eyes. The more he laughed, the more gasoline sprinkled on the fire inside me.

“You believed that?” He said between the laughter. “Believe what?” I said angrily.

“My loyalty to you remains unwavering, even when you're not with me. My soul is devoted to you, so you can take your mind off things.”

My thoughts of tearing every ounce of those ladies who touched him went out of the window, and an urge to rip his body apart settled inside.

I let out a dramatic sigh, but one idea blessed my mind. “That's sad. I kissed a man before you.” His laughing suddenly came to an abrupt stop, and he looked at me.

“You don't have to say that just because I was joking with you.” His voice took a turn from being serious to teasing in a second.

“But I am not lying.” He again chucked, but my serious expression made him look at me with curiosity.

“One of my friends from college-”

“They were not your friends.” He cut me in between. It's particularly the truth, if the people I met during my college days were really my friends then they would have the courage to take my stand, yet they were consumed with the fact that if the handsome boy likes me then I should like him back.

“Yes so, one of the idiots I met in college provided me a date to kiss the smartest boy in class and I did that, it was supposed to be a peck, but we got so involved that it turned to be a full-blown make out-”

“Shut up.” Reyaansh's jaw clenched and his eyes darted right at my face. “Who is that person?” He said through gritted teeth.

A small smile threatened to erupt across my face however I changed my demeanor to a serious one, keeping a serious expression I leaned towards him, “why do you care? Tum apni ladies ke paas wapis jao.”

I raised my eyebrows and tilted my head a little so it resembled as if I was trying to kiss him, rather my hand stretched out to take my phone and I leaned back after making sure that my lips glided over his neck.

His breath hitched at the closeness and I felt his fingers around my wrist before he yanked me towards him, “I am asking nicely, Kainaat. Who was that guy?” His harsh breath around my skin makes goosebumps rise to attention.

Jealous Reyaansh is a cutie.

It's a lie, though. Nobody can convince me to kiss a pair of lips out of a dare.

It's disgusting.

“I would never kiss anyone out of a dare, Reyaansh. My dignity is worth more than my ego.” I say with a sigh.

As I laid back with my head against his chest, I could feel his heartbeats. Best music I ever heard.

Perhaps I should record them and send it to Krish so he can make some sort of music out of it. Yes, that sounds like a great idea. I felt a smile creeping across my face at the thought, and I turned around to press my lips against his cheek.

“You better keep doing that, I'm angry at you.” His gruff voice reminds me of the time when I went to his office without informing him.

We, as in mumma and I, were bored at home so we decided to go to the Rajvansh office to see what was going on. I was greeted at the reception with Reyaansh shouting at a witch girl who thought that it was an incredible idea to touch him.

Good times.

“Aww, Go back to your ladies then.” The word left a bitter taste on my tongue.

“You are my only lady my eyes search for.” I gasped at his words and turned my head to look at his sheepish smile.

My eyes narrowed and I said, “Your flirting are getting out of hand now.”

“Something else will also get out of your hand.” My breath got stuck in my throat as the realization hit. I inhaled sharply and rested my head on his chest, trying to calm the blood rushing to my cheeks.

How can he say these things so lightly?

A soft kiss landed on my cheek and my hands fisted the bedsheet in a firm grip, “I kind of hate Amaira right now.” As soon as the words left his throat, A scowl formed on my face.

“Why?”

“She did not stop you from going there. You panicked, but she could have calmed you down.”

The last time I checked, she was not my babysitter.

“Excuse me, You think I am a baby who needs someone to babysit her. And you do realize that amaira is also a human being who can get panicked. It was my decision to go there, and she actually told me that if I don't come out in 15 minutes, then she will do something. Blaming her is not correct.” I say. I do feel this.

She is not supposed to be my caretaker, We both were terrified to see that picture of him.

“I don't like her.”

“She doesn't like you either.” I say. She does not hate him, but she is also not his biggest fan.

“After what she did, I don't even know why you are friends with her.” He shrugged.

Confusion fogged my mind, what did she do?

“She did what?” I ask.

“You don't know?”

“No.”

“Then it's your friend's story to reveal.” He spoke and brushed his hand on my hair while I wondered.

What did Amaira do?

Regardless of what she did, I will still not allow him to treat my friend in his natural rude manner.

I noticed a fact about Reyaansh that he has numerous people who he loves and adores, yet he doesn't show his affection towards them, excluding me.

Typically I have seen him ignoring people like they have not been calling his name for the past 5 minutes. He really has some favorite people. My brother is not in this list for some reason.

My eyes were about to protrude out of their sockets when I saw him ignoring my brother, who was trying to shake his hands with him. Safe to say, I did not say a single word to him for the next two days.

My silent fast was broken when I woke up with his face between my legs, and I was moaning his name.

Asshole.

“I am hungry.” My stomach grumbling proved my statement right.

“Let's get some food for my hungry wife.” He spoke before going outside to get some sort of food for me.

Until then, I checked my phone, the first message my phone was blessed with was from Amaira.

Amaira : This is probably the wrong timing, but I think your husband wants to kill me and I would like to know this beforehand, who do you love more? Krish or me?

Kainaat : Of Course, Krish.

Nah! I love them both equally.

Amaira : I am never messaging you ever again.
Amaira : And, look at this…

She sent a picture of Reyaansh and I from an event we attended together.

Oh! god! He looks ravishing.

I sent the picture to Reyaansh and took his phone from the side table. His wallpaper blesses my eyes and I admire our wedding picture.

He keeps this picture on his wallet as well. I saw it when I was trying to see if he notices when money is gone from his wallet.

He does.

My fingers move to find the app I am looking for, and as soon as I tap on it, hundreds of notifications flash across my screen.

I have some million followers for doing absolutely nothing on my account. I switched accounts and opened Reyaansh's profile.

My urge to let the other bitches know couldn't stop myself from posting the picture on his social media account with a red heart. Reyaansh has many more followers than me for some reason that I don't understand.

Why do people even follow him?

He has zero posts.

This is the first one that I just uploaded.

Yes. I only posted this, so people know that he is mine.

'You are a toxic person for using his phone.' a voice inside my head screams.

Reyaansh and I know each other's passwords and there is nothing to hide, so we really don't bother if we are using each other's devices.

And the concept of privacy was already breached when Reyaansh jumped inside my room to get gifts for me and saw me in nothing but a towel without my knowledge.

Soon, his phone starts getting bombed by notification, likes and comments flooded over my screen.

“POWER COUPLE!!!”

“Kainaat is lucky, fr!”

“Reyaansh looks smoking hot.”

“Kainaat's outfit is a slay!”
Someone replied to this comment saying, “she's a designer, of course her outfit looks good.”

“They compliment each other well.”

“They look so in love!”

“Their marriage will fail.”
Woah! That was harsh.

But what made them think like that?

Do they know me?

Do they know ansh?

Then, who the fuck are they to say such things?

I was once told that when you post something on the internet, you should be prepared for it to receive negative comments.

But, Ansh advised me that if anyone is willing to talk about people online, they should be prepared to receive some negative responses in return. If, even then, they are blaming you, then it might be them who are the problem.

“What are you doing?” Reyaansh entered the room with a tray in his hand. The muscle on the side of my lips expands as his worried figure keeps the continents of food on the table inside our room.

He took the phone from my hand, and his gaze shifted from me to the device. “The picture looks good.” He says and keeps the phone in his pocket.

Refusing to let me read that comment again.

I blinked my lashes and looked at him, who just passed me the plate of rice and curry. The coldness of the spoon lingers in my hand as I ask, “Did that comment upset you?”

“No. If a comment held the authority to upset me, then I wouldn't be where I am.” He continues eating as if nobody just commented on our marriage.

We finish our dinner in silence and then take a relaxing bath. The hot water helped us forget about the disaster that occurred today and just lay in each other's embrace.

“We have enough reasons to worry about, butterfly. An unemployed stranger's opinion does not mean shit to us.” He whispered when we laid down to sleep.

He's right.

Someone else's opinion on my marriage should not be my problem.

I brushed my hand in his hair and felt the softness of this black soft hair, “I hope our son gets your hair.” Every so often I get jealous of him. He's so pretty, I want his long lashes.

He has a slight beard that gives him this astonishing manly, godly look.

Oh. I am obsessed with my husband!

He chuckled at my wish, “You want a son?"

“Yes. Because I know you would be our daughter's favorite from the beginning and our son will start enjoying your company more when he grows up, so I want a son, so I can get a few years of being the favorite parent.”

“There is no such thing as a favorite parent.” He shook his head like an innocent baby.

“It is. Now, let's sleep before you start the process of baby making.” I say and wrap my arm around his toned stomach. My man has abs and I can feel them through my arm.

That should not turn me on…

My head rests around his chest and I take a deep breath before falling asleep in the arms of the man of my dreams.

I hear him whispering this in my head before going into my dream land,

“Tell me to remove that fucking rubber and I swear I will get you pregnant in the first try, baby.”
