Wow. I Wish I Had A Father

Be honest.

Glamrock Freddy gave us praise kinks and made us wish we had fathers. You can't lie.

Jester screamed.

Freddy startled back in the doorway as if he had forgotten that Jester was even there. Jester scrambled back closer to the wall, their breathing extremely heavy now. It reminded Freddy of when they had a panic attack when they first saw him. Freddy wondered what made Jester react this way around animatronics.

Jester didn't seem to notice that they couldn't back away from the ruined body of Bonnie and more, just kept pressing themselves against the wall in fear. Freddy's programming caused him to rush over to Jester's side. Not that he didn't want to help the human; it was just a very different reaction than what Freddy was used to.

"Jes?" Freddy asked. "Jester? Are you okay?"

"F-freddy?" Jester asked.

"I'm right here," Freddy answered. He held out his arms and scooped Jester up in his arms bridal style. They hid their face in his hard metal shell, wrapping their arms around his neck. Freddy raised his internal temperature to comfort Jester, he didn't know what else to do. He carried Jester out of the room quietly, closing the door with a depressing sigh. he had warned Jester, it wasn't his fault.

Jester was still shivering in Freddy's arm, not from the cold, but from the feeling of fear that coursed through Jester's body. They thought they were better now. They had hung out with the animatronics for weeks now, and they were very comfortable around them. Why was seeing Bonnie so terrifying again?

Jester thought that they were fixed.

Freddy stood in the maintenance tunnels in silence, the whirring of gears and machinery in his chest comforting in the silence. Freddy found a place to sit down and sat with Jester in his lap, still curled in a ball. The light from Freddy's eyes washed over their body, causing them to warm up even more.

"Jester?" Freddy asked softly after a few minutes. "Are you okay to talk now?"

Jester only nodded.

Freddy sighed. He knew he would have to explain what had happened to Bonnie to get him in that shape. But first, Freddy needed to know what was wrong with his human friend. "I need you to explain something for me, Jester."

Jester said nothing, but waited until Freddy asked his question.

"Why are you scared of us, Jester?" Freddy asked. "What happened to you?"

Jester's eyes shot wide open as they sat up straight in Freddy's lap. Their hair flew into their eyes but they didn't care. "What? No, no. I'm not scared of you," they said hurriedly. Too quickly.

"You always scream or have a panic attack when you first see one of us, like just now. Why is that? Did something happen to you?"

Jester's face fell, giving Freddy a clear answer to his question. "What happened?"

Jester looked up at Freddy with scared eyes. "It was when I was really young. It doesn't matter."

Freddy grabbed their shoulders lightly with his blue clawed hands. "Jester, this isn't going to solve anything if you keep hiding the truth. Sometimes you need to tell the story to let go of the memories."

Jester hesitantly nodded their head. "O-okay," they admitted defeatedly. "When I was little, my mother wasn't the best mom in the world. She went out drinking every night. The smell of booze at the club was the first thing I remember. One night, my mother was really tipsy. I wanted to take her home, but halfway down the street the car ran out of gas. I pulled into a parking lot of an abandoned pizza place and went inside the building to call for help. My mother stayed in the car."

Jester took a breath, still not meeting Freddy's worried gaze. The animatronic bear didn't want to hear anymore, but he didn't interrupt the story.

"Inside the abandoned pizza place, I was attacked by four animatronics: a bear, a fox, a chicken, and a... rabbit. They were old, covered in blood and guts. They smelled like something had died inside of them. Little did I know that someone had died inside of them only a few years earlier." Jester shuddered, remembering the smell.

"The rabbit found me first. He, it, chased me until four in the morning. That was when I was finally cornered by all four animatronics and..." Jester reached down to their left pant leg and started rolling up the fabric, revealing a shining metal prosthetic. Freddy's eyes would have widened if they could. A metal leg. No wonder why Jester limped whenever they walked anywhere. He was not expecting Jester to be missing a leg. But the worst part is the last sentence that they added afterward.

"I was eleven at the time."

Freddy knew many eleven year olds. He attended their birthday parties and helped them navigate their way through the Pizza Plex. They were so young. Freddy could help but be horrified that such a traumatic thing happened to Jester at that age.

"I'm... so sorry that that happened to you," Freddy said. "I can imagine how this would be a very traumatizing experience for you, but if you don't mind me asking, what does that have to do with us?"

Jester laughed grimmly. "It has everything to do with this entire place."

"I apologize, but I am very confused."

"It was the 1993 Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place location," they explained. "Bonnie was the one who bit my leg off."

Freddy felt his system shut down for a split second in shock. Fazbear Entertainment was the cause of this human's pain and suffering? No wonder why Jester was scared of the animatronics. It was an irrational fear, but they didn't know that. It was a fear that was ground deep within them. Jester always suspected that the new versions of the same animatronics would attack them, but they never did.

"But now, I'm almost thirty years old. It shouldn't be affecting me like this anymore," Jester said.

Freddy only looked at the IT with wide, staring eyes. "Jester," He said. "I am so sorry."

Jester paused. They stood up from Freddy's lap and started apologizing profusely. "No, no, no. It wasn't your fault. It was the old models. You are different from them. You wouldn;t hurt anyone, and I know that. You are safe and kind and loving. Freddy, whatever happened in the past is in the past. You are not part of that past." Jester paused. "Please don't feel like you did anything wrong."

Freddy couldn't help but have his eyes linger to the metal prosthetic leg that was sticking out from under the still rolled up pantleg. He couldn't help but feel guilty. But he didn't let that show.

"Of course," Freddy lied. He decided to change the awkward conversation. He gestured to their metal leg. "Did you make it?"

Jester's face lit up with a small smile. "I did! It's a little shorter than my right leg, hence the limp, but it serves it's purpose."

"That is very interesting," the bear said. "Does management know? How come they haven't hired you to be a mechanic? Why are you here and not a big corporate organization?"

Jester laughed. "Slow down, Fazbear. Yes, management knows. Dave is actually the person who taught me everything I know about mechanics. They haven't hired me as a mechanic because at the time I only filled out an application for an information technology person because I was still terrified of animatronics. And lastly, have you seen this place? I think it qualifies as a big corporate organization. Also, I have made so many friends with you and the other Glamrocks that I don't think I would want to leave now anyway."

Freddy beamed. He stood up and reached his hands out to give Jester a hug. "Thank you for telling me this." Jester hugged Freddy back. "Let's go back upstairs to get you home," he said.

After Freddy made sure that Jester clocked out and watched them safely get to their car through the sliding glass doors (because animatronics weren't allowed outside of the building), he walked back down to Bonnie Bowl. He knew that Bonnie had been down there for almost two years now.

It was a sad story and Freddy wasn't going to blame anyone for anything that had happened to Bonnie, because it wasn't their fault. Freddy had come to terms with the fact that his best friend would never be here anymore a long time ago. But this encounter with Jester refreshed the feeling of sorrow and anger. It wasn't right to be angry, but Bonnie was gone and it was all Monty's fault.

It was an error in the programming, nothing ridiculous. But that one single purple strand of coding was enough to cause Monty to have a human emotion that wasn't a part of his programming: rage.

Monty had always wanted to be in the Glamrocks since he arrived as the newest addition to the animatronic team. Bonnie used to leave his green room in the middle of the night to go over to Monty Golf and teach the alligator animatronic how to play the bass. It was until one night when he was teaching Monty when the purple coding took over Monty and caused him to...

Freddy shuddered. He didn't like remembering that.

It wasn't Monty's fault. It wouldn't happen again either. The animatronics were checked once a month to make sure that the purple code wasn't coming back. It just happened that management didn't see it as an issue until his best friend was decommissioned because of it.

Freddy walked up to the door that was still open, the light from his eyes shining on the muted blue paint of Bonnie's ruined legs. With a sigh, Freddy grabbed the door and closed it behind him, leaving Bonnie in the darkness.

But what Freddy didn't see was the faint yellow glow coming from the rabbit's broken eyes.

heyo, author here.

what did you guys think about Bonnie's ruin story?

Since there is no canon way that he was actually decommissioned, I kinda used a few theories and mashed them together in a way that makes the most sense to me.

Hope you guys liked it!
