As I sit at the airport gate, a whirlwind of emotions floods my mind. Today I was headed to New Jersey with Connor and Maelyn. I was finally getting to see Quince and Italy again.

The excitement radiating from within me is almost overwhelming, making it difficult to sit still. Every passing second feels like an eternity as I anxiously await the call to board our flight. Glancing at Connor and Maelyn beside me, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for their presence. Connor's familiar smile and Maelyn's infectious laughter have been constants in my life, and having them here with me now fills me with a sense of comfort and joy. They help me so much with everything.

Maelyn catches my eye and flashes me a knowing grin, her expression mirroring my own excitement. We've been planning this trip for months, eagerly counting down the days. It feels surreal that the moment we've been waiting for is finally here.

The team was all ready to board the plane. Maelyn and I both being able to go on it because of work. I can hardly believe that in just a few hours, we'll be touching down in New Jersey, ready to embark on this unforgettable journey.

Lost in anticipation, the hours pass in a blur as we journey across the sky. Before I know it, the pilot announces our descent into Newark Liberty International Airport, signaling the beginning of our New Jersey adventure.

As the plane touches down on the runway, a surge of excitement washes over me, accompanied by a sense of anticipation that's almost tangible. Glancing at Connor and Maelyn beside me, I can't help but smile at the thought of the memories we'll create together in the days to come.

As we step outside into the crisp New Jersey air, I take a deep breath, savoring the moment. This was bound to be an unforgettable experience. We make our way towards the awaiting embrace of our best friends.

After being reunited with Quince and Italy we all decided to have a girls night. The night started innocently enough – just a girls' night out with Maelyn, Quince, and Italy. Little did I know, it would turn into one of the most memorable evenings of my life. As we gathered at Italys  favorite bar, the laughter flowed freely, fueled by beer and whiskey.

Maelyn, ever the life of the party, had us in stitches with her hilarious anecdotes and infectious energy. Quince, with her quiet charm, added a sense of warmth and camaraderie to our group. And Italy, with her adventurous spirit, kept us on our toes with her spontaneous ideas and daring antics.

As the night wore on, the drinks kept coming, and inhibitions began to fade away. We danced like nobody was watching, sang at the top of our lungs, and reveled in each other's company. It felt like old times, reminiscent of the carefree days Italy, Quince and I spent together.

But as the clock struck midnight, reality began to set in. With a mixture of laughter and wistfulness, we reluctantly bid farewell to the bar and stumbled out onto the streets, our hearts full and our heads spinning.

Navigating our way back home proved to be a challenge in our drunken state, but somehow we managed to stumble through the door, greeted by the comforting warmth of Quince and Italys apartment. And waiting for us, like beacons of stability in the midst of our drunken revelry, were Luke and Connor.

Luke, with his easygoing nature and unwavering support, enveloped Quince in a warm embrace. Connor greeted us with a fond smile, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

As we collapsed onto the couch in fits of giggles, recounting the events of the night with exaggerated gestures and animated expressions, Luke and Connor listened patiently, their laughter mingling with ours in a harmonious symphony of joy.

In that moment, surrounded by the people I love most in the world, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude wash over me. Despite the chaos and unpredictability of life, I knew that as long as I had them by my side, everything would be okay.

As the night drew to a close and the last echoes of laughter faded away, we settled into a comfortable silence, content in each other's presence. And as I drifted off to sleep, cradled in the warmth of Connor's embrace, I couldn't help but smile, knowing that moments like these were what made life truly worth living.

The dimly lit corridors of the hockey arena echoed with the sounds of celebration and camaraderie as I waited for Connor to emerge from the locker room. The game had went smoothly but we all decided to cancel plans after Jack got injured not really knowing what they wanted to do but knowing he was ok. Anticipation gnawed at my insides, mixed with a hint of relief knowing that Jack was okay after the game.

Finally, Connor emerged, his stride confident despite the fatigue evident in his movements. I informed him on how jacks wrist is. His expression softened with gratitude and concern, a silent acknowledgment of the inherent risks of the sport he loved.

As we exited the arena and stepped into the cool night air, the bustling city around us provided a stark contrast to the quiet intensity of the game. We made our way to the nearby hotel, the anticipation of rest luring us forward.

Entering our shared hotel room, exhaustion weighed heavily upon me. But as I settled into bed, the weariness of the day began to lift, replaced by a sense of peace.

Just as I began to drift off to sleep, a soft whimper pierced the silence, drawing my attention. I turned to see myself thrashing in the darkness, my face twisted in anguish. Panic surged through me as the remnants of a nightmare clung to my consciousness.

Before I could fully comprehend what was happening, Connor was by my side, his touch gentle yet firm as he shook me awake.

"Sage, it's okay. You're safe," Connor's voice was a soothing balm against the turmoil raging within me.

My eyes fluttered open, confusion and fear clouding my vision until I registered Connor's familiar face. Relief flooded through me as I clung to him, seeking solace in his embrace.

"It was just a nightmare," Connor's words were a lifeline, grounding me in the present moment. "You're okay now."

With each steady breath, I felt the tendrils of fear loosen their grip, replaced by a sense of calm. Connor's arms wrapped around me, offering comfort and security in the darkness.

As the minutes passed, I gradually regained control of my breathing, the residual tremors fading into the background. Connor remained by my side, his presence a steady anchor in the storm.

With a shaky sigh, I leaned into him, grateful for his unwavering support. The weight of the day's events lifted from my shoulders, replaced by a profound sense of gratitude for the bond we shared.

As exhaustion finally claimed me, I drifted into a peaceful slumber, safe in the knowledge that no matter what challenges lay ahead, I would always find comfort in Connor's arms. And as the gentle rhythm of our breathing filled the room, I knew that together, we could weather any storm that came our way.

I'm begging for you to take my hand
Wreck my plans
That's my man

Authors note

Are they together or are they not?.. There not.. yet.

Quince and Sage have different perspectives. So Sage is more of a sit back and watch. Doesn't really pay attention to conversations. I don't know if y'all realized that but yeah.
