what seems like forever, hasn't even really been too long.

"okay, be back soon sis," i put my coat on, saying goodbye to velv' before leaving to go to y/ns house.
"mhm...soon.." velvet rolled her eyes. "we BOTH know you always end up sleeping over there, why not just TELL me," she scowls. "a sleep over isn't a big deal," she added.
"i'm not gonna this time! i swear!" i then put on my shoes.
"you said that last time, and the last!" she threw her hands up, "you're a liar! -lair! lair! lair!!" velv' exclaimed as she entered into another room, ready to leave me.
"no i'm not!" i shouted back, opening the front door, "be back SOON. -!!" and the slam of the door cut off my voice for my sis, as i was eager to go see y/n again.. it's felt like AGES..

i hum, skipping slightly as i walked on the wooden floors of my house.
i was mopping my floors, trying to tidy up my house since i havent done something like that in a while.
i try to keep things fairly clean.
and it works for the most part, i just need to clear up some things here and there, like the floor.
listening to music kinda helps me a lot with cleaning, it's more relaxing and fun.
right now i have my playlist on shuffle, the song i was humming along too was half way over, that's alright though, i'm not a huge fan of this song but that's alright, it's on my playlist and i'll still sing to it.

around a minute has passed, i see their house just in the distance.
picking up my pace i move faster.

the song was over, a small ad came on as i began to wonder what song was gonna come on next.
as soon as the ad was over, i only needed to hear a second of the song before a huge smile came on my face.

at first i was humming, then i was lip syncing, then actually mumbling the words... and then i started singing.

i approached the door, pulling out the spare key i was given.
y/n gave me this key because i'd always end up banging on the door for them to open it.. i feel a little bad about that 😟.
but whenever i come in now unannounced y/n never seems to care anyways.
and i did text them this morning i was gonna come over around this time.

i unlocked the door, entering into the warm and small entrance area.
i took off my coat and put it on the hanger, taking off my shoes and setting them right under where my coat was.

just then i started hearing a light sound of music, down y/ns hallway.
without really thinking i followed the song.
hearing another familiar voice as i approached as well..
turning the corner, i finally heard it clearly, and i could see it clearly too.

i stare jaw dropped as i never looked away from them.
they moved with there eyes closed, i don't think y/n knows i'm here at all.. should i say something?

i sang the song with every best note i could form, even if i was singing loud or not, i was still doing..pretty good i assume?
i cracked my eyes open for a second, to see where i was mopping.
i closed my eyes- wait.
... what was that.
i froze, turning my head slowly towards the door way.
my face flushed quickly.
a huge dumb smile crawled onto his facial expression, he brought his hands up, and began to clap.
my boyfriend, veneer.
"veneer!" i covered my face in embarrassment, only even being able to say one word before i physically couldn't talk anymore.
"i had no idea you could sing!" he exclaims excitedly.
then his expression changes.

"why haven't you told me?" his voice sounded serious, but in a playful kind of serious..if that makes sense. he even sounded a little betrayed even.
"you kept a secret from me!" he dramatically says.
"noo?" i hum strangely with the bottom part of my face still being covered by my arm.
"i just..never told you.." i excused it.
"it's not like i was trying to keep it from you!" i added on, but he was in denial. (😔)
"i cant even believe this?!" he spoke loudly, but not yelling.
"i'm sorrryyy, 😞" i sighed, setting my mop to lean on something as i walked closer.
"you could've told me you were coming!" i said.
"i did! and YOU could've told me this- THIS!-" he crossed his arms, he didn't even really know what to say. but all i knew what to say was..this was actually very funny.
my embarrassment died, and it was replaced with amusement.
"you did?" i chuckled.
"yeah, i texted you!"
"oops! guess i didn't see it," i shrugged, and he narrowed his eyes.
he looked as if he was gonna say something, so i just stared at him with a large smirk, waiting for him to speak.
".. . .we have to do karaoke now," he demands, with a strong and stern expression, he looked very determined and eager now.
but it was amusing.
and how could i even say no after keeping this suppperrr big secret from him! -ha!!
he then pulled out his phone, typing for a moment and raising it to his ear.
"what are you doing?" i questioned.
"calling velv' ..i'm sleeping over," he says blankly.
i lightly laughed, shaking my head in a fun disapproval.
"hey sis.." he mumbles.
"DONT TELL ME-" i could hear velvet scream from the other side of the phone.
"SOMETHING CAME UP IM SORRY." veneer retorts back loudly.
