I'ma be making this stuff alot better than what I did before, and in 3 months or so, I've learned kinda a lot and what to do to make your books look better

Gus moved even tho y/n said not to, by doing so he put his knee on a branch which made it break and pubba looked at Gus and looked back and to his surprise the mysterious man was gone...

"hey where'd you go?" pubba yelled while running towards the gate with Gus close behind
pubba yelled 'stay back!' to Gus but yk that didn't stop him from being nosy "hey!" pubba yelled one more time
when pubba made it to the gate he stopped and looked around while looking at the pink ribbons tied on the fence (I've always wondered, if nobody got powers or some typa hypermotility then how did they put those ribbons on the fence in 0.5 seconds?? think about that)
"he marked us" pubba said scared for them but he decided to push that to the side and grab gus and tell you to follow because you will listen but gus won't
when y'all got there he lifted up the stairs because there was a hiding spot where Gus or y/n can go but not both
"Gus, son, get in" pubba said to Gus but gus wanted you to get in "I don't wanna-" pubba cut him off because he was in a rush "I said get in the cubby" Gus still didn't wanna get in but you gave him a look with a slight head tilt and he got in because he knew you had a better chance at fighting something if it came in
Gus still didn't know how to shut up and kept talking "
after pubba was satisfied with Gus he looked at you and said "y/n, you stay out here and protect Gus and don't let ANY one in unless it's me ok?" you complied "ight" you said with no emotion in your face whatsoever because you were serious, your never serious unless you feel like you or anyone you care for is in danger
pubba went to grab something from under the carpet while Gus kept talking saying 'its a hole' and 'what's the sick' but the one thing pubba said that kinda stuck with you was "you know how many foxes hide out during the day in their little house in the ground?" yea that stuck with you for some reason, like it was foreshadowing maybe, I don't know
"ok pubba hurry up and go" you said to pubba, pubba stopped because he felt good inside because when you use to call him pubba, you never meant it or loved him like that but I guess you got used to him and said he was safe to be around but just remember this, your ears go up when you are in danger (remember this throughout the entire books)
Gus kept talking from the hole "why'd you say you lived alone?" he asked kinda hurt, you knew the answer but decided to stay quiet so you can keep a look out because you were by the window keeping a lookout
"to protect you" pubba said dryly "sometimes it's ok to bend the truth if it helps someone you love" pubba said teaching this terrible lesson to Gus, because this doesn't always work
pubba got up and looked at Gus and said "understand?" Gus pushed that to the side and responded with "I'm scared" pubba got up and said "I know but I promise you, if you hide in that cubby and be very quiet, I'll be back before the sun goes to bed" he said while Gus decides to keep quiet after he said that
pubba went to the stairs to said "remember what I said" Gus didn't "it's okay to lie?" you snickered while pubba said "that's what you got from that conversation?" after you were done quietly snickering you chipped in and said "no, he said don't come out until you hear from him" Gus said "ohhh, ok"
before pubba left he said "I love you, Gus, and your not too little, nor you y/n, which you knew that" he looked back at gus and put his pinky in through the stairs and said "stay big for me" and gus and pubba connected pinkies
pubba got up and looked at you and asked "do you see anyone" you looked out the window one last time and said "no, they must be hiding, i can come if you want" you said in craving a fight, you haven't fought anything sime a bear accidentally got in and got in the cabin when everyone was sleep, you were the first to wake up and leaped on it and bit it's neck and ripped its throat out, along with its spine, and neutralized the bear, yea, your demonic for no reason whatsoever
when pubba left you walked to Gus and reassured him by telling him "hey buddy, it's gonna be ok, he's just gonna be right back, if it gets bad I'll go help ok, and knowing pubba it shouldn't get that bad but if it does you know what I'll do" you stopped because you didn't want to remind him what you did
"hey, you want your syrup?"Gus looked up happy and next thing you know Gus has his syrup and your sitting next to him with the stairs up

it's quiet out and Gus flips his hour glass so they know how long it's been, it's been 20 minutes and you were starting to get worried but pushed it to the side because you heard a noise come from the door and you told gus "I'm gonna be right back, be stay quiet ok?" but he said "what is it what's wrong is pubba hurt!?" Gus said kinda loud but you grabbed his head and put you hand over his mouth and said "shh Gus, you too loud, stay quiet, somethings coming" he then decided to comply and you pulled the stairs back down and went to the pillar to hide behind it to grab whatever was coming, if it got inside
you hid while Gus sipped his syrup (how) and you and Gus heard the door open and Gus was gonna move but he heard footsteps so what you decided to do was jump out but didn't leap on the...deer because gus came out and waved at you to tell you no, you complied and you figured gus thought this was his mother because she was the animal version of him, you knew you didnt have a mother nor father because you got old enough and got mature enough to put two and two together
it was a few seconds of Gus and the deer staring at each other while the deer did a 180 with its neck to scratch it's back with its mouth until you Gus and the deer heard pubba scream, Gus yelled 'no' and ran back in the 'cubby' and closed the stairs while you ran to the window to see if he was hurt but you couldn't see him so you stayed there while the deer ran at you but decided to jump through the window making you get a shard through your leg, you pulled it out after you bit your shirt to not make alot of noise, it hurt but you didn't make alot of noise, you tie a piece of the makeshift cover you had around your leg and decided to sit next to the window to make sure to make Gus safe ( oh if you knew that, that was gonna bite you in the butt) you did all of this without gus seeing
2 minutes pass and you get impatient so you get up and walk to the door and open it while Gus says "what are you doing, sit back down" but you ignored him because you had other problems, your leg and pubba, your leg wasn't hurting that bad but you knew it was gonna come like a scorpion sting, outta nowhere
when you opened the door you saw pubba slowly and weakly walking back to the door, and you called Gus to come help and you both ran out to go help pubba walk back
when you and Gus reached pubba, you went to help him but Gus pushed you out the way to hug him and pubba went on his knees "i heard a scream" gus says on the verge of tears "i know" pubba says weakly "i didnt like it" gus says sad but happy to see pubba "but your safe" pubba says with his eyes closed "your safe now, he wont hurt you" he says even weaker
pubba then 'faints' with you quick to pick him up and bring him inside while Gus is sad, saying 'pubba, pubba please wake up, pubba please'

Gus was putting pubba to bed, even though pubba didn't wake up at all and it's still night time, Gus took his shoes off, his jacket and his glasses, then he put his cover on him and tucked him in, Gus has a chair next to the bed facing the bed and sat in it, when he sat in it he sat there for about an hour just looking and hoping pubba would wake up but was cut off by you walking in the room and told him to come here
when Gus walked to you, you said "Gus, you need sleep, go lay down in YOUR bed" Gus denied but you weren't having it so you looked at him with narrow eyes and he jus didn't want to leave pubba so he jus decided to let all the emotions out and cry his eyes out and you were holding him and told him to 'let it all out, I know, I know' while rubbing his back
when Gus was done crying, he felt tired and your shirt was soaked, so you brung him to bed with him trying to deny it but you looked at him and said "gus sleep, now" and that's when he finally complied and went to sleep, you decided to sit next to him like he did with pubba and after a couple minutes you were fast asleep

Gus brung pubba some water and makeshift soup, pubba didn't say anything but turnt over and then Gus sat in his chair and read and drew in his book for like 13 minutes while you were standing there just waiting, then all of a sudden you and Gus at the same time saw pubbas pinky vibrate, and that only means he has the sick, you knew what the sick was and so did gus and gus ran to you and hugged you because he was scared for pubba, you comforted him for like 3 minutes and he calmed down, you knew pubbas hours were counted and so did gus but he didn't know it was gonna be so soon
timeskip
you were in your bed sleeping, until you heard Gus move and you got up and watched him to make sure he was ok
Gus got up and saw pubbas holding his book he drew in and pubba was on the floor and asked "you did this? your mother?" Gus just shook his head because he was hurt "she was like me Gus" he paused and looked at the floor but then he looked at Gus and continued "well she was better than me" he sighed
"she would be so proud of you" when he said that, gus's ears went up and he nodded his head "you and y/n were her joy, you were her life, you always will be" he exhaled and after a few seconds Gus joined him on the floor
after Gus got comfortable he asked the one and only obvious question "what happened?" and the only answer to Gus's question was "life, we were separated, so I brought you and your brother here" "what was her name" Gus added "birdie" Gus's ears once again went up "yea, her name was birdie" Gus said the one thing that hurt you "when you get better, we can go look for her" and it kinda hurt pubba too
"when we hear a growl" Gus didn't want to say it but did "I will duck" he said that and his ears went down this time "if I hear a voice" he continued "I will run" "and if I see a human" you were hurt just listening to this "I will hide" gus's ears were so far down, you never saw them that far
"okay, what don't we do" he still kept going "cross the fence" "ever?" he asked "never ever" "okay promise me Gus" they connected Pinky's and Gus said "pinky swear" 'that was really needed' you thought "hey, I'm the luckiest dad in the world" pubba said
when pubba said, your ears went down because yea you didn't like him a winter ago (iykyk, it references the show) but you do now and its hard to see him go
"you know why?" pubba asked and Gus didn't know why so he shook his head "because I got to spend the nine years, with two very, very special boys, you and y/n, in a world we got to spend together" he paused bc he was getting emotional but wiped his eyes and continued"I couldn't ask for anything else"
Gus slightly smiled and so did you because you saw Gus smile but your smile faded when you saw pubba turn over and sniffle and exhale
"I'm tired, you know what could wake me up?" he said playing this 'game' with Gus even though you wanted to stop this 'game' but decided not to
Gus shook his head and pubba said "breakfast, will you go make us some?" Gus was confused and said "but you make the breakfast" pubba sighed and said "and you watch me, so you know how, okay?" Gus was determined to remember but couldn't
"what do we start" pubba started "...a plate" pubba was disappointed "what food?" Gus was thinking and remembered after 6 seconds "eggs" pubba was proud "yeah. see that" Gus looked at the floor smiling and looked back and said "then you'll tell me more" pubba looked at the ground and said "yeah...yeah, I'll tell you...everything"

you are walking with gus, and you had this blue gloomy aura coming off of you, Gus must have felt it too because he asked "what's wrong y/n?" you didn't hear him, he asked again and you didn't hear, you were so deep in your emotions for once that you could only see and not hear anything
guessing you were in your own place while walking with him, he asked once more and that's when you heard him, well you didn't hear him you felt him, he tapped you
"what's wrong, you ok?" Gus asked, finally had your attention "nothing, I'm fine Gus..."
he didn't believe you and so did you, you didn't even believe that obvious lie "y/n...what's wrong" gus said stopping and grabbing your arm so you stop too
you look at him and say with as little emotion as possible so he doesn't suspect anything "...I'll tell you...when we get back..." you said that because you knew he wasn't gonna be there when you guys got back, sadly
you were surprisingly a lot mentally stronger than you thought, because if Gus knew for this long he wouldn't be able to handle himself nor you but you are dealing with EVERYTHING
Gus nods and you internally sigh of relief and continue to get the eggs from the geese?? (you can eat goose eggs??)
but anyway Gus holds two while you hold four, Gus held his in his hands and you put one in each pocket and held the other two
when you and Gus made it to the river, Gus hopped to the first rock and then after a couple seconds he hesitantly hopped to the second one, he then looks back at you and you effortlessly steps on the rock (you are a few inches taller)
Gus playfully scoffs and looks in front of him and leaps to steps to the third one and looks back again with you casually walking to the one in front of you, after you do that gus says "show-off" and snickers with you shrugging and putting your hands up in acceptance, gus then looks infront of him and leaps to the last one and for the first time in his life he made the jump, and steps off the rick and looks at you waiting for you and you do a two-step to get to gus from the middle rock
Gus says a little 'yess' while pulling his arm up and down he then does a hand movement telling you to 'come on', he turns around and starts running, you sigh in nervousness because you already know what's coming you then started jogging to the cabin
you could here Gus yell 'pubba', you thought it was because he wasn't moving and you thought you were too late and decided to run faster but he was running and yelling 'pubba' and then Gus goes quiet mid sentence 'i crossed-' so you know he saw him unconscious
Gus softly and painfully says 'pubba?' and you know he is too scared to move but you hear him move, Gus says another pubba while softly pushing pubbas shoulder, he does it again but gives up on that and looks at his hand, his hand had 'keys' in them but Gus didnt know what those were so he sat in the other chair and plays with them
you then walk in breathing heavy and sees that Gus wasn't sad but confused so you decide to take the chance to nap before he finds out because you know you're gonna need ALOT of energy for 'this'
you face plant on your bed and turn to your side and swiftly glide to sleep land but Gus just sips his syrup and looks at pubba while being the most confused he has ever been in his little life
(this part took SO long for no reason whatsoever)

it's winter and you could see snow on the ground, the branches, the wagon Gus has, and the axe you have
you are logging for some firewood and Gus is sitting on the wagon waiting on you, you are in your last one and since you were so cold you broke the log in one hit because you were mad you were cold
you move the axe from the tree stump signaling for gus to come and grab the firewood and he complies and grabs the firewood and puts it in the wagon
you hit the axe in the tree stump for it to stay there and Gus grabs the wagon and starts walking to the cabin with an exhausted 'you' following close behind

you and Gus were playing with snowmen, Gus hit one with a stick, you punched one, Gus decapitated one with the stick and you tackled another, Gus shanked one and you kicked another ones head off, Gus hit ice sickles hanging from a tree with the stick while you punt kicked one already 'dead'

you put the firewood in the fire so the fire could keep going while Gus grabbed something off of his bed and was talking to 'pubba' "you should have saw it, bad people were everywhere, i thought they were gonna take me and dog but dog scared them away for good, didnt you dog" Gus says that last part looking at his dog plushie
Gus then looks at 'pubba' and his ears go down along with his head, he sits down and eats

Gus was outside 'explaining' the rules to everyone, it was spring now, you were inside reading your book
"rabbit, your on garden duty" Gus says pointing a stick collage rabbit "goat, you need to keep the birds off the peas, we cant lose anymore" he says lecturing a stick collage goat "and me and dog will do the syrup and water" he says talking to all the stick collage animals
"and remember...do not cross the fence" he says sternly pointing to each and every animal while saying each word
"now go" Gus says clapping his hands and tilts his head up (mini boss)

Gus was at work trying to fix the pipes and successfully does and says 'yes' but the pipe bursts again hitting him all in the face and mouth

Gus was pushing a toboggan up a hill, he then trips and falls and the toboggan slides down right past him, he says 'no!' but what help would that do, he was left disappointed in himself
