Every writer who participates in the Open Novella Contest is recognized and celebrated for their amazing contributions, regardless if they finish in the top winners or not. ∆| Every participant who writes 2,000 words for their novella will receive a 2,000 word count sticker for their story's cover.
∆| Round One winners will receive a winner sticker specifically for that round and will also receive a shoutout from Open Novella Contest Profile.
∆| Every participant who writes a total of 8,000 words for their novella will receive an 8,000 word count sticker for their story's cover.
∆| Round winners will receive a winner sticker specifically for that round and will also receive a shoutout from Open Novella Contest Profile.
∆| Every participant who writes a total of 20,000 words for their novella will receive a 20,000 word count sticker for their story's cover.
∆| There are no official "Round Three" qualifiers or winners, but there are longlist qualifiers!
∆| The milestone word count stickers we provide throughout the contest (2K, 8K, 20K) are for everyone to use if they reach the milestone.
∆| Participants who make the Longlists will additionally receive an ONC Longlist 2024 sticker to add to their novella's cover/profile picture/banner, and their novella will be added to the official ONC 2024 Longlist reading list!
∆| Participants who make the Shortlists will receive an ONC Shortlist 2024 sticker to add to their novella's cover/profile picture/banner, and their novella will be added to the official ONC 2024 Shortlist reading list!
