"he's coming to new york!" devon exclaimed with a grin as she barged into julien's room. since they've lived together for years now, he had gotten pretty used to her barging in at random times, which is why he wasn't even faced anymore.
"who?" he uninterestedly asked, too focused on whatever tiktok he was watching.
"quinn!"
"oh, what for?"
"he has a game here" she smiled as she plopped down next to him, the smile on her face not leaving.
"when?"
"i don't know actually"
"oh my god devon, you stupid brilliant devon" julien exclaimed out of the sudden, turning off his phone and looking at her.
devon furrowed her brows, debating in her head if she should thank him or hit him "should i be offended?"
"you got yourself the perfect opportunity to surprise him" he claimed, actually looking excited at whatever that was going through his mind.
"what? what do you mean?" she asked, sitting up to be at level with him.
"you know he's coming, you don't know when yet. so when he tells you, you have the opportunity to be like 'oh, i can't go blah blah blah'" he said, rolling his eyes dramatically.
"but that's really mean" she interrupted, not liking the idea of doing something like that to quinn. she knew if he did that to her she would've gotten sad.
"let me finish. so then he'll be disappointed but you'll go to the arena and you'll surprise him before the game and then he'll dedicate the game to you" he finished with jazz hands, looking proud of himself for the idea.
"since when are you a hopeless romantic?" devon smirked, expecting this idea from everyone except julien.
"whatever"
"there's a flaw though, how am i supposed to surprise him before the game? people aren't allowed to go backstage" she said, furrowing her brows in thought.
"devon, tell me, how would you be able to go?" jule retorted, looking at devon as if she was the stupidest person in the world.
"uh, if a player let's me i think, i don't know" she shrugged, not sure about the rules considering this was the first time she was dating a nhl player, it wasn't as if there was a manual out there.
"how many players on his team, besides quinn, do you know?" he rolled his eyes again, doing motions with his hands.
"a bunch" she said, suddenly getting the idea on her head causing jule to nod appreciatively "ohh, i get it. but wouldn't he get mad?"
"stop overthinking! it would be cute. go on, text one of his teammates" he urged, adamant that the idea would be cute. he had a pretty good hunch that quinn would like the idea, plus seeing his reaction would be hilarious.

"i might just go crazy. i'm so in love" devon sighed happily as she layed flat on sunny's couch watching lazily as she played some game on the tv she wasn't interested in.
"we can tell" sunny snorted.
"i love him so much. he's literally the man of my dreams and when i'm worried about something he always reassures me and he's so sweet" dev rambled with a lovesick smile, images of quinn's smiling face popping up behind her eyes.
"please stop talking. i'm gonna puke" sunny groaned dramatically, laughing when devon pushed her "in realness, i'm really happy for you. you deserve every bit of happiness that you have right now even if i think i could treat you so much better than him" sunny confessed, looking at dev from the corner of her eyes, not really taking her view away from the tv. sunny was never really good with heartfelt conversations but with devon she could make an exception, as awkward as it was for her.
"do you think we're moving too fast?" devon asked out of the blue, looking at sunny's profile in concern.
"not really. i feel like you guys kind of unpaused your relationship" sunny shrugged after giving it a little of thought. sunny knew they had never really stopped loving each other which is why it felt so natural for them to just go back to how they used to.
"is that good or bad?" devon frowned, worried that she was already somehow messing up her relationship.
"honestly? i don't know. you're asking the wrong person but as long as you're comfortable and happy there, then i guess it is the right move" sunny confessed, not really looking at the bad side cause she knew something really bad had to happen for them to go sideways, their love was too big.
"i just feel like maybe we're going to fast, or i'm being too intese" devon confessed, feeling vulnerable at the thought of coming off as too much.
"girl, have you seen that man? believe me, you're not the intense one" sunny chuckled, unconsciously relieving some of the tension in devon's body.
"whatever, what's going on with you and jule?" devon prompted, sitting up and looking at her friend expectantly.
"for the millionth time, nothing is going on dev" sunny groaned, looking actually annoyed which immediately caused devon to back off.
"you know you can tell me though, right?"
"yeah, but nothing's happening between us"
"okay. so, when do you think trev will ask molly to be his girlfriend?" devon asked, smiling at the thought of her two friends finally getting together.
"like in a month, maybe less. they talk everyday, it's sickening"

quinn was about to finally fall asleep when his phone started ringing. at first he was confused, considering he had just said goodbye to devon, and upon checking the caller id, he became even more confused.
"jule?" quinn greeted confusedly, furrowing his brows.
"hey man"
"everything okay?" quinn asked, hoping everything was fine. he had literally just hunged up on devon, so she must be fine, right?
"yeah, yeah. i just wanted to talk with you about something" jule said, sounding vaguely nervous but quinn was too preoccupied to notice.
"go ahead"
"i just wanted to say sorry. about how i was when devon ran way. it was wrong of me and i never should've had said any of those things. i was just really fucked up" jule confessed, sighing as he spoke. the guilt had been eating him alive even if he knew after numerous talks with devon that it wasn't entirely his fault. still, he wanted to patch things up with quinn cause devon was the most important thing on both of their lives and he knew it would make devon happy if they got along again "it's no excuse but i just wanted to make things okay between us"
"everything's good jule. we're good. i know you were stressed, we all were and i guess the situation just made us all snap. i was wrong too. i'm sorry by the way, for hitting you" quinn winced, his guilt too showing itself. their situation had been unique, and quinn was never really good at controlling his emotions when it came to devon but he regretted hitting julien, he was just too embarrassed to say sorry.
"it's okay man. i kind of always forget you're a hockey player" jule chuckled, relieved that quinn had taken it good. jule would never say it out loud but quinn was a really important person in his life, even if they didn't talk often, so to hear hin say that they were good was a relief.
"yeah, i do too sometimes" quimn chuckled softly.
"well, i'm gonna leave you alone now, hope to see you sometime soon huggy"
