Just before the massive Faminor swallowed me I heard Sagiv roar in ultimate frustration and anger.
I felt myself slide down the mucus throat of the giant Faminor along with the earth it had picked up as well and something...furry?
Odd...
I slid down the throat of the beast like one would on a water slide until finally hitting something...solid?
What the hell...?
Suddenly a brightness blinded me, my eyes surprised by the unexpected light caused me to squint.
As my eyes adjusted slowly I found I was in a chamber lit by torches. The chamber was sort of flesh-like, but held a more solid quality to it; tunnels were in every direction.
I went to stand up when a little ball of feathers and fluff launched itself at me.
"Akyra!" I exclaimed, shocked to see her with me.
She whimpered softly, the changes of so many Sin realms starting to take its toll on her.
"Do you know if the others will join us?" I asked her.
She shook her eared head and hopped off of me.
"Wonderful. Swallowed by a giant worm which just so happens to be a building and I might be lost. Now...which way to go?" I muttered in irritation.
I watched as Akyra chirped and raced down a tunnel. I quickly followed suit and stopped short of entering a huge throne room.
Well... It was suppose to give the appearance of a throne room. In reality it was a massive flesh chamber like the last I had been in. Bodies lay dead on the...floor, if that's what one could call the solid fleshy mass beneath my feet.
Blood pooled in what appeared to be drains of some sort in the chamber, creatures I hadn't seen of this realm lay in a green blob-like form towards the back of the chamber where a throne...made out of fresh, bloody body parts sat with the Sin known as Gluttony.
Gluttony was a vile creature; massive fat rolls poured over his huge thighs. Within the rolls were wide, monsterous mouths with jagged teeth. Giant arms supported an oddly muscled chest and on top of his extreme body sat a horned head with pointed ears.
I shuddered and with that simple movement Gluttony's eyes snapped open to me and a slow, sharp-toothed grin spread across its impish head.
"Welcome...young one. I see you've manage to stumble into my realm. However, for you that is very bad," Gluttony chuckled and his many mouths grinned, oozing blood tinted saliva.
I flinched and cautiously stepped forward when the green blobs jerked their heads up. I noticed that the blobs looked to be a mixture of some animal with huge teeth and small, beady eyes yet they had no definite shape- just like...well...a blob.
Both lifted their lips in a gruesome snarl and looked back at Gluttony to whine when I took another step forward.
"Not yet, my pets," Gluttony said, tone practically filled with sympathy.
My lip unintentionally curled in disgust and I heard myself voice my thoughts without thinking. "What are those things?!"
Gluttony studied me with his flint eyes before shrugging and replying. "These are Amorphas. Shape shifters, yet not. They contain no shape and can never contain any."
"Then whats-" My words died on my lips when I noticed a blob- Amorphas- slinking towards me at such a rapid speed I only had time to put my hands up as a defense when I was slammed with the sheer force of the Amorphas.
I thought I'd be flung backward but instead I was engulfed in the jello-like substance that was the Amorphas. I went to scream but my mouth was quickly filled with green goo. I choked and tried desperately to cough out the goo, back into the blobs body. My attempt failed though as more goo rushed into my mouth.
Finding that while in the Amorphas I couldn't spit the goo out I struggled to get out of it's body which was another fail as I had known it was going to be.
I couldn't simply pop out of the jello mass, no it was going to have to be destroyed in order for me to come out.
Fuck me.
My lungs were beginning to burn from the lack of oxygen and my skin was starting to tingle with what I assumed was a digestion process...
Hell.
To make matters even worse I couldn't see anything except the green-ness of the Amorphas. I tried as hard as I could to see, squinting at all, but nothing was clear; only green, shivering gel was seen in front of me.
My vision began to get fuzzy as I started slipping into unconsciousness. Just as I was about to black out a loud pop sounded and I was thrown into cool air. I took a deep breath which hurt my lungs because I hadn't been able to breathe in so long. I struggled to open my eyes but couldn't; the tingling sensation of the Amorphas acid digestion still clung to me.
However, I could still hear. The familiar sound of Sagiv's roar hit me and Slick's cussing flooded my ears. I heard wet gurgles- probably the Amorphas' being shredded open I had thought until I felt something slick run over my stomach.
Wait stomach? I could feel that? I swore I had clothes ah- oh god...
The Amorphas's digestion had pretty much melted my clothes right off me!
I struggled even more to open my eyes and see what was touching me.
I felt the tongue slip away and something sharp run over my soft flesh. My eyes wouldn't open.
I heard a chuckle and it didn't come from what was running its teeth over me. Or...did it?
"I told you that it was very bad for you here," Gluttony's voice rumbled...very, very close to me.
I knew then that it was one of Gluttony's many mouths that he contained on HIS stomach that was chewing and licking at me.
I almost screamed, barely covering it with a whine of panic.
"What about Sagiv, Slick...Laveda?" I asked in a hoarse whisper, trying again to make my eyes snap open.
"Laveda....hmm. She wouldn't be here.. Not with you anyways," sneered Gluttony. "As for the others..." He paused. "They have been taken care of."
This time my fear was so great it allowed my eyes to snap open with a ripping sound. I let out a howl of pain as blood trickled down, around my eyes and dripping off my chin. I couldn't see at first because whatever happened to my skin had sealed my eyes shut and I just ripped them open, allowing me to unwillingly see again.
After five minutes of blurry torture, I could see and what I saw made me want to throw up or be blind again.
I was laying on the floor, Gluttony had left his throne to hover over me. One of his huge mouths was licking and chewing at me. I could see every roll, each containing a mouth and lastly Gluttony's face which was contorted with the pleasure of violating my skin with his stomach mouth.
I wanted to scramble away, but knew if I did at this point Gluttony would just clamp his massive mouth down, into my stomach and I'd be eaten alive.
I tore my eyes away, angling my head to look around the chamber.
I nearly gasped in fright. I saw Sagiv in an Amorphas, his fur falling away in the digestion process while he struggled to get out. I wondered why he hadn't spoke to me, but now seeing him like this it made so much sense.
I turned away to see Slick in another green blob, his clothes dissolving and fur melting away.. He didn't struggle. He just sat; waiting.
Just looking at them made me wonder what had happened to me. I glanced down and began shaking at the damage done. I was covered in what looked like raw burns, but were sores from the acid burning into my skin. The sores covered my body and when I looked closely I saw that the hugest sore was on my stomach, bleeding right where Gluttony was licking and chewing in his disgusting pleasure.
What was I going to do? Was this it? The end?... My god...
I looked up again at the gross Sin and found his mouth was gradually latching onto me more, taking in my panic and fear as his own twisted pleasure. I felt completely hopeless.
I glanced around again and found nothing and no one to help. I suddenly began to feel pressure on my stomach, it increased slowly turning to sharp pricks and breaking my skin- it stung, but nothing torturous until Gluttony's stomach mouths tongue rolled over the wounds.
Pain slammed into me and I cried out in agony, it felt as though my stomach was being ripped from me and all my innards, but in reality I only had small bite wounds. I screamed and in my agony I remembered Akrya who had led me here.
Where was she? Did she do this on purpose? Was she trying to kill me?
My thoughts died as Gluttony raked his teeth into my stomach and quickly ran his mouths tongue over the deep wounds. I couldn't tell left from right once he did, but the one thing I could make out was green.
A lot of green and it was the last thing I saw before I was plunged into darkness.
----
When I awoke I found myself looking up at a wall of flesh. I nearly panicked, drawing in a sharp, gasping breath until Laveda's familiar face flashed in front of my view.
"Rave?" She murmured, concern flickering across her gorgeous face.
"Wh...what happened?" I croaked, my voice musn't have been in use for awhile.
"Well..." she trailed off, gazing around.
I sat up quickly, making myself dizzy and causing Laveda to steady me. Once my head stopped spinning, I began to feel the pain on my stomach.
I glanced down to see that I was clothed now. I lifted my shirt and found I had been healed, but only just enough so I didn't bleed out which meant I was still sore and tender.
I looked away from my stomach, pulling my shirt back down and saw I was still in Gluttony's throne chamber, just off to the side in a smaller chamber.
I saw Gluttony was sagging against his morbid throne- sleeping, I think- and Sagiv and Slick were lying close by in the chamber with me.
I gasped when I studied them.
Slick had numerous bald patches where his fur had been eaten away by acid, he wore no clothes but a shirt was lying beside him when he woke. His skin was red and blotchy from being melted away, but it was obvious he had been saved well away from dying.
Sagiv on the other hand was nearly bald, his beautiful gray fur dissolved away along with skin. He was covered in sores, some oozing a bit, trying to heal him.. It appeared he faired far worse and my heart squeezed in dread.
With wet eyes I looked to Laveda once more. "What happened?"
"Akyra." As soon as she said her name, Akyra popped up from the other side of Sagiv and rushed into my arms. She chirped fervent apologies to me while Laveda continued her explanation.
"She came and got me. At first I didn't know what she wanted, I didn't even know how she found me, but she had. And after being so persistent, I followed. I had almost arrived too late..."
I calmed Akyra and waited for her to continue. She swallowed nervously with a glance at Slick and Sagiv.
"When I arrived you looked dead...as if Gluttony had killed you right then. Sagiv and Slick both appeared to be alive, but not by much. I immediately rushed to save you, blasting Gluttony with my Magick and then tending to the others." She paused to flash a small smile.
The Amorphas' no longer exist until he makes more and Gluttony himself is asleep to heal from my damages to him. He doesn't know were still in his realm.. We have to leave soon," she finished with a heavy sigh.
I just stared at her dumbfounded and shocked. I looked down to Akyra.
Had it been her? Or?
"What?" Laveda asked, sensing my confusion.
"Why...did you come?" I asked, averting my eyes to gaze at my comrads.
"Well, like I said it had taken me awhile to figure out what Akyra wanted," she replied. She was avoiding answering the question, she was hiding something and I had known it all along. Now, I needed to know.
"No, I mean why did you bother coming here at all? You could've easily ignored Akyra and sent her away," I stated flatly, now looking at her.
"Oh..well. I felt I needed to follow her. I couldn't just let you die..." She whispered.
"Why not? That's all it ever seemed like you wanted to do, disappearing every chance you got at the worst possible times. Never staying when we confront a Sin, never helping much unless it's absolutely neccessary. Why Laveda? I know you're hiding something, so just spit it out already!" By the time I had gotten everything out I needed to say, I was nearly shouting, luckily though Gluttony was a heavy sleeper.
"Because I belong here! Helping someone outside of the Seven Sins is like breaking the rules and well, I broke them. I don't know what will happen to me. You'll find out soon enough why I belong here and how I'm connected.
For now, just be grateful I came and saved your ass and theirs. Now shut up for awhile, take a nap, and we leave in three hours. Hopefully by then, they'll be well enough to continue on because we can't stay here any longer than that. If not, I'm not sure what will happen," she paused noticing my concern. "But let's just hope for the best, alright?"
I nodded weakly and fell back onto the semi-soft ground and gently closed my eyes.
Thankfully I was still weak enough to force myself into sleep otherwise I would've been wide awake, thoughts racing in constant worry.
----
Three hours later I'm assuming and Laveda was waking me and everyone else up.
When my eyes popped open I was happily surprised by a familiar "Hello" in my head.
"Sagiv!" I said excitedly as I gently flung my arms around the Daemonic lynx's neck.
He gave a snorted chuckle. "It's nice to see you alive and well too... I thought it was too late when I arrived with Slick. I thought you were dead."
I pushed him lightly. "Why does everyone keep thinking I die so easily?"
"Because you can," Slick grumbled and I looked over with a grin to see the rough Satyr standing, but leaning heavily on Laveda.
"Enough joking, we don't have time for that; we have to leave. Now," Laveda said, her voice rough as she propelled Slick and herself towards the back of the small chamber we were in.
Everyone sobered up and fell silent. I climbed to my feet, shakily, and followed suit with Sagiv leaning against my hip and Akyra flittering near him worriedly.
Once reaching the back of the chamber, I slowed to a walk as Laveda raised her palm and caressed the flesh wall. Her palm glowed green against the wall and soon the wall spilt open, making a tunnel...
Another tunnel, I groaned inwardly.
Just before I entered it, I snuck a glance over my shoulder to see Gluttony, his mouths yawning as he just started to rise from his slumber...
If everyone had nearly died here, what would the next Sin be like?
I shuddered and quickly scrambled into the tunnel as it sealed behind me.
