Sophia's pov:
We smiled at eachother.
I was admiring him now that i could finally do that without it being weird.
"Like the view?" He asked.
"Oh definitely." I replied.
He laughed.
"So are we like.. Dating?" I asked.
"I mean, yeah." He replied.
My smile turned even bigger.
"Great!" I said.
He laughed.
One of his hands stopped holding mine and he put it on my back.
He pulled me towards him and i felt my cheeks turn burgundy. I could feel his stomach on mine.
He leaned in and kissed me.
"Hi Soph." He said, smiling as he pulled away.
"Hi mikey." I replied, smiling too.
"Sophia! Come downstairs dinners ready! Miguel if you wanna eat with us thats okay!" My mom yelled from downstairs.
"Do you want to?" I asked.
"Id love to." He replied.
"Its just pizza tho i chose dinner." I said.
"I love pizza." He replied.
I smiled.
We held hands as we walked downstairs but let eachother go just before we entered the living room.
"Hey huns! How are you?" My mom asked, placing plates on the table.
"Im good!" I said.
"Me too." Mikey said.
He softly smiled at me and it took every bit of power in me to not kiss him on the spot.
"Your dads not gonna be home for dinner tonight so its gonna be us four." My mom said.
"Okay!" I replied.
We sat down on the couch and watched my brother play roblox.
"Wait no you have to-" Miguel started.
My little brother turned around.
"Sorry." Miguel said.
He turned back around.
After a few tries and failing again he turned around again.
"Help me." He said, shoving his ipad in Miguel's hands.
He sat down on the couch between us.
"Okay so first you do that, and then you jump-" Miguel started.
I sat there on the couch, admiring my boyfriend.
He was so good with kids and it was the cutest.
Weirdly, the only thing i could think about now was marrying Mikey. We haven't even been dating a day! Its just seeing him be so good with kids, it makes me think he'd be a good dad.
I smiled at them.
After Miguel was done explaining my brother sat back down on the floor, why he was sitting there ill never know.
Miguel scooted over to me and our thighs touched.
I smiled at him.
"Your brothers cute." He said.
"Oh you don't know him that well." I replied.
He laughed.
He put his arm around me and i rested my head on his shoulder.
He kissed me on my forehead and butterflies filled my stomach.
I saw my mom look over at us, grinning. I smiled at her.
"So uh.. Not enemies? Are you?" She asked.
"Uh.." Miguel looked over at me, i nodded.
"No. No were not." He said, smiling.
"I always hoped this would happen." My mom said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.
"I always hoped you'd get together." She said.
"We met when we were 2 mom." I replied.
"And since then I've known you were soulmates." She said.
I scoffed. Miguel laughed.
"And with that, badabing badaboom." My mom walked over to us, handing us 2 plates of pizza.
"Pizza." She smiled.
"Thank youuuu!!" I said.
"Thanks ms Hansley." Miguel said.
My mom gave him an interrogating look.
"Uhm thanks Lily." He corrected.
She nodded and smiled.
"Can we eat upstairs? I just uhm.. Still don't really understand algebra." I said.
"Yes Sophia you can go make out." My mom replied.
"Were not gonna make out im really hungry." I said.
"Were not?" Miguel asked.
I gave him a 'seriously' look.
"No Miguel. We. Are. Not." I said.
We walked away, went into my room and sat down on my bed.
I took my tv remote and put on Brooklyn 99.
"Hey ur rewatching again." Miguel said.
"Yeah." I smiled.
"Hey episode 13." He said.
I remembered the night in the rain. Watching Brooklyn 99.
"Im sorry for that night." I said.
"You don't have to apologize. For anything." He replied.
I smiled at him.
"I mean i was a dick. If anyone's gotta apologize its me." He added.
"You don't have to apologize." I said.
"I kinda do tho.." He replied.
I looked at him.
"Remember the time when we were six and i put a frog in ur barbie house?" He asked.
I laughed. "Yeah."
"And remember the time that.. uhh.. that u grew flowers in your front yard and you had a favorite one-" He started.
"And you cut it off the plant? Yeah i still haven't forgiven you for that." I said.
I took a bite of pizza.
"I still have it." He said.
"What?" I asked.
"I still have the flower." He said.
"How? That was like 8 years ago." I said.
"I flattered it i don't really know what that's called but i like put it between books and now it's framed in my room." He explained.
"That's so sweet!" I smiled.
"Well i sure am a sweetheart." He said, grinning.
"Untill 2 weeks ago, you were a dick." I said.
"Oh you want me to be a dick?" He asked.
I nodded.
"I think you're hot. Like so hot. And i- I can't even fake be a dick to you right now." He said.
I laughed. "Go on."
He put down his plate of pizza.
"Hm.. You're so hot. You're like- There's Ryan Reynolds and then there you." He said, he put his hands up and raised his hand when he said me.
I laughed.
"I honestly don't know what to say right now you're just.. I wish I would've told you earlier because your just that amazing." He said.
"Your amazing too." I said.
I put down my plate of pizza aswell.
I looked at him, and he looked at me.
"I love you Mikey."
"I love you more Soph."
He leaned in and pecked me on the lips.
I smiled at him.
"I always have." He said.
"Well I didn't until a few weeks ago." I replied.
"Come to ask? What did do the trick for you? When'd you start liking me?"
"Honest answer?" I asked.
"Yeah." He replied.
"When we were in the car and Olivia Rodrigo started playing." I laughed.
"That's all it took for you to like me?"He asked.
I nodded.
"Jeez.." He said.
"Well it was more in the way that it made me realize your more of a sweetheart then you look." I said.
He smiled, then he leaned in and kissed me.
