Y/N POV:
Me and Maomao were trying to look for mushrooms as we crouched infront of few trees
not being able to find any until I heard a loud gasp from behind me.
"HAH I KNEW WE'D FIND IT! YES!" She cheered as she grabbed them from their original spot
I just looked around and headed to a spot where we haven't searched yet
"Oh! There are some over here to Maomao!" Maomao looked at my direction with a wide smile
We just searched and to our luck we found MORE!
"Where should we eat it Y/n?" She asked me picking up more
"The... Kitchen? Wait no, people ill ask where we got it from."
"Oh! Wait before that!" She was going to make lunch for her best friend
Time skip because y'all are to smexy:
We were sitting in our usual spot when were not in the dinning area. We were sitting near the washing and
Maomao friend started to eat
"Thank you so much Maomao and Y/n! Your guys food are alway delicous when you two make it! It so nice of you guys to do it too!" She complimented us as she starting eating more
"Thanks!" I do a big smily face with my eyes closed and my tongue on the outside of my mouth on the side
Maomao just nods
"Well, did you guys hear?"- Brunette
"Hmm?" -Maomao
"Hear what?"- Me
"I heard a place servant was able to seduce a millitary officer who was famous for hating on women."- Brunette
"Eh...."- Me
"Guess how she did it."- Brunette
"Who knows?"- Maomao
"How?"- Me
She then put her own voice to low level so no one can hear her.
"They say she used an aphrodisiac!"
As she said the last word my face went blank and pale
"A-Aphrodisiac?" I stutter as I slowy turned my head towards her direction again
I was lost in thought not moving an inch, Maomao must be deep in thought too
"Maomao, Y/n are you two alright?" Maomao friend asked snapping me out of my thoughts
"Y-Yeah" - Me
"Huh!? Oh uh its! N-Nothing related! Probably!"- Maomao
Me and Maomao then get up
"Well we're gonna head to the Quack Doctors dojo. We'll see you later!" I waved at the brunette girl as we started leaving
"Bye Y/n and Maomao!" She waved back having a Bao in her mouth
"So Maomao, you wanting to eat the mushrooms at the Doctors place?" I look up at the sky as we walked
"Yeah!" She replied as she was excited to eat the mushrooms
I giggled as we enter through the door and greet the Doctor
"Oh, hey little ladies! Whats going on for today?" He looked at our direction moving his body
"Theres a secret we'd like to discuss with you."- Maomao
"What is it?" He walked towards us as we showed him the mushrooms
"This."- Me
"Wow! Those are fresh matsutake mushrooms." He looked at them with sparkles in his eyes
"Well we're glad to see you like them." I smirk
"We'll need some charcoal and some soy paste with salt!" He smiled brightly as me and Maomao smiled back.
A few minutes later he came back with a little stove thingy and places it on the floor as we started cooking two each one by one
The doctor then sniffed the air as if he could smell the food
"Ah~ It's so irresistible!~" He said in adortion
"I think it's ready." I grabbed it with my chopsticks and put it in a bowl putting soy paste and salt ontop of te mushrooms
"Here you go Doctor." I passed him the bowl for him to eat. As he ate it his face lit up more
"DELICIOUS!!" He started eating the rest quickly as if he had a time limit.
But as Maomao and I took a bite, I felt like I was sent to heaven. (THIS HAPPENED TO ME A FEW MINUTES AGO BCUZ I STOLE MY BIG SISTERS FOOD SHE COOKED AND I WAS IN THE SKY)
"DELICIOUS!!!!!!!" We all said in synch
But we heard the door behind us open as someone barged in
"Eh?" I look at the person direction
"D-Doctor! A c-curse. Can you make a medicine that cures curses?" His face was pale and sweating looking like he was scared
"A curse?" I look at him then at Maomao with a confused look but Maomao just shrugged
He showed us his hands as we all got up
"Thats quite a bad rash. Maybe an ointment, for starters?"
"Could you two make some?" The doctor looked at us
"Understood." Me and Maomao went to go make some medicine for the 'curse'
Later on after we made the medicine and he was telling us his story I just helped Maomao with the wood thingy and made the fire change different colours
"Well done as always, apothecarries!" He looked at me with a smile
'Degenerate male'
I looked the other way as the Doctor walked out saying he'll make some tea for us all
"Greetings. What business do you have for us today?" Maomao looked up at him
"Do you mean I shouldn't talk to you unless I have business?"- Jinshi
"Ugh, of course not you degenerate male."- Me
Jinshi smile dropped as he sweat dropped, but he smiled again
"Follow me for a momment Y/n."- Jinshi
"W-Why me?"- Me
"Just follow don't worry." He smiled
I got up and started following him to who knows where.
As we entered the room there was a table with five plates with some stuff on it that I used to make the fire change colours earlier
"How many colours are there?"- Jinshi
"I specifically can't say."- Me
"Then how does one apply these colours?" He held up a wood thing that made the person who got a rash
"Well with salt, you can disolve them in water. Some will disolve in other things like oil. But this is outside my are expertise."- Me
"I see."- Jinshi
"If thats all please excuse me."- Me
"Wait."- Jinshi
'What does this clown want now?'
"What is it?"-Me
"I like them teapot-steamed."- Jinshi
I gag and look at him with an uncomfortable look
"I'm counting on you apothecary." He smiled
"I will see if I can find some more tomorrow." I say as I walked out of the room
As I enter the Jade pavilion I saw lots of people with box's and I got slightly confused
"I'm back."
"Welcome back Y/n!"- Huwang
"Y/n! Nice timing! Can you try this on for me?" Yinghua asked showing me a pink and green clothing haori or what evr you call it
"Oh, uhm sure." I grab the clothings from her and try it on
(Like one of these but pink and green and with no patterns sadly)
"What is this?" I asked
"Isn't it obvious? It's your dress for the garden party."
"Garden party?"
"Twice a year, the emperor and his high officials gather in the courtyard, to enjoy food and entertainment."- Yinhua
"The emperor isnt married yet, so he has no empress consort, right? In that case, it's customary to bring
the upper-first ranks concubines"- Huwang
"Upper first-rank concubines."- Me
"The four high-ranking concubines who are the best contenders for the empress consort: Concubine Gyokuyou, precious Consort. Concubine Lihua,wise Consort. Concubine Lishu, Virtuous Consort. Concubine Ah-duo, pire Consort. Last time Lady Gyokuyou and Lady Lihua couldn't attend, because they had just given birth. So this time, they decided to invite all four concubines" Huwang explained
"And what do we do there?"-Me
"Thats the exact same question Maomao asked. Well nothing actually."- Huwang
Lady Gyokuyou was sitting on a couc with her baby beside us
"We're invited as guests. We just have to follow the emperor."- Lady Gyokuyou
"Some officials come by to ay their respect. So don't forget to smile."- Huwang
"Of cour- Wait.... Is everyone required to attend?" I look at the ground
"Of course!" Yinghua grabbed my shoulders
"This is princess Lingi's first public appearance, ans rare events with all our high-ranking concubines! This is war! we have to brace ourselves! Lets do this!!" Yinghua said with fire in her eyes
"huh..... So everyones gonna... be there." I awkwardly smile
'Gosh. Can't I get atleast one day without being near him?'
"I guess we do need to stuff the chest area a little." Yinghua requested
"E-Excuse me?" -Me
"I want to bulk up your waist too. Is that okay?" She asked as I nodded
"We'll be doing some nice make up too!" I just sweat drop
"Uhm, alright."
I go back to the changing room and change back into my normal outfit, and helped clean the Jade pavilion and bringing the box's in
Time skip to next day since Y/n needs a break:
I was knitting some towels with Maomao until we heard a knock
"Come in!" Maomao yelled aloud
"Hello, I noticed that Y/n wasn't in her ro- Oh shes right here." Jinshi smiled
"Well, what do you need?" I asked unamused
"I'd like to ask for one, myself."- Jinshi
"M-Me too, please."- Gaoshun
"Okay." I threw them one each because I don't wanna go near them right now
Later on few mere people asked for some and me and Maomao worked our fingers hard
As each day passed me and Maomao practiced how to introduce ourselves and what to do when we go to the garden party and make medicine and she was always stitching more cloths (or whatever it was). And of course help them clean the areas in the Jade pavilion
I plopped on my bed but as soon as I fell on it, I notice how exhuasted I was from today and the other days.
My back slightly hurts but its fine
"So its tomorrow... Gosh my whole body aches right now. I should try going to sleep." I say to myself driffting off to sleep
The next day:
We were all in Lady Gyokuyou's room
'She's really pretty'
"You look so beautiful Lady Gyokuyou"- Yinghua
"Crimson looks so good on you!"- Guiyuan
"Such wonderful beauty!"- Ailan
"Beautiful indeed."- Me
"Yes you outshine all others."- Huwang
"Thank you. For you all... Here I have to mark you, to make sure you don't attract any bad bugs." Lady Gyokuyou opened a box with jewlery inside giving Huwang a golden hair pin with a blue flower shaped diamond
Yinghua recieves beautiful pink flower in the middle while the rest is gold earings
and Ailan recieved blue pearl earings
Guiyuan recieved sakura hairpins
"Maomao, Y/n.." She put a necklace around Maomao's neck as she went towards me and did the same (But if you perfer earrings then choose that)

(And heres if you picked earings)
I looked at the jewlery with sparkles litting up in my eyes
"Oh, wow. Thank you Lady Gyokuyou-" I was interuppted as I felt someone trapping me in place
"Make up time!"- the four said as Lady Gyokuyou giggled.
'They didn't have to distract us...'
"Time to become as cute as you can be!" Lady Gyokuyou giggled and smiled
"We'll wipe your face and add some scent!" I looked at Maomao who had a scared look making me confused
They then dragged us to a room where you can do make up
(Heres your make up look and hair style but if you have short hair just stick with a bun with a hairpin that jinshi will give you in the bun and like a sorta thick piece of hair on the side of your face ONLY ONE not two)
As they were done are make up we started heading off to the garden party we were sitting somewhere under cover
and talking while I tucked her baby in this sleeping bag stroll
"Awee the baby is too cute!" I gush on about the baby until Jinshi came
I just kept looking at the baby
"Now, to check in on the princesses food tasters." He looked at Maomao impressed by the look but when he went behind me and waited for me to turn, he put his hand on my shoulder making me shiver
"What do you want now Jinshi?" I turn to look at him.
But as I did I notice some pink forming on his cheek
He then started stroking my hair making me shiver and blush a bit.
"What are you doing?" I looked at him, not stopping him for some reason, but then I just lightly smacked his hand away.
"Don't worry." He put something in my hand a I see its a hair pin
(But it can be your fav colour)
He then left without uttering another word
"Eh?" I was so confused on why he gave me this
All the ladies in waiting and the other apothecary hugged me
"AWEE THAT WAS SO CUTE! SO NICE! IM JEALOUS! I WANT ONE TOO!" Everyone except Maomao said (Okay so like lets just say Maomao wasnt given one and she still goes outside the walls by the other men)
Maomao just smiled at me. Me knowing she was happy that the men didn't go for her
"Thanks? But I might give it awa-"
"Y/n! Don't give it away!"
"Yeah!"
"Well I guess you're no longer mine." Lady Gyokuyou smiled putting the hair pin in my hair
We then all heard drums and we went to our places. Me and Maomao were seated on the stage with a table infront of us.
As Ladies were dancing traditionally
