"hello, sooha!" jake called out when he entered the house. he took his shoes off, expecting to hear sooha's footsteps approaching him. but he was met with nothing but silence.

he walked into the living room, but the room was empty. jake began panicking, rushing upstairs, checking all the rooms.

he then went towards the swimming pool, catching a glimpse of her in the water.

she wasn't facing him, and she didn't even turn towards him when she heard him. the room was dimly lit, and the water seemed cold, but sooha was still standing there, only her head and shoulders visible.

jake took some steps forward. "i genuinely thought you vanished or something," he said.

sooha didn't reply.

"are you mad at me?" he asked, but as expected, he didn't get any answer. "i came home right away after finishing work today."

sooha just turned her head to the side. "why? was heeseung absent today?"

jake puffed. "ha ha. so funny."

she turned towards him, looking up to him from the swimming pool. "i'm not mad at you, jaeyun-ah."

jake nodded, being glad that he won't encounter the crazy side of sooha.

"don't you want to spend a little time with me?" she asked in a sweet and innocent tone.

"i actually have somewhere else to be. just passed by to make sure you're alright." he answered, thinking about the two lunchboxes he bought for heeseung and him.

sooha frowned. "just for a few minutes." she insisted.

jake shook his head. "i really have to go, sooha. i-" he stopped mid-sentence when he saw sooha getting out of the water.

she was completely naked, her body glistening with water under the dim lights.

sooha slowly approached him, her bare feet stepping on the cold tiles. "don't you find me attractive?"

jake stared her dead in the eyes, completely unfazed. "i have to go. and you need to put some clothes on. it's cold in here."

sooha ignored his words, getting closer and closer to him. "i can make you feel good, jake. better than heeseung ever could."

jake finally snapped and grabbed her arms, forcefully pushing her away. "that's enough, sooha."

without any other word, he turned around and walked away.

"it's been less than a week since we've moved here, and you're already forgetting everything i've done for you!" sooha screamed from behind.

jake clenched his fists, walking out of the house and getting into his car. he drove away, feeling like the nightmare he was living was only growing bigger and bigger.

---

jake took heeseung's hand, intertwining their fingers. they both walked towards the parking lot surrounded by a comfortable silence.

jake drove fast towards a bar. the place looked luxurious, as if it was reserved for only very important people.

the security bowed after seeing jake, letting them both enter.

heeseung looked at jake, questioning the interaction. as if jake read his mind, he turned towards heeseung. "my dad owns this place."

heeseung nodded, impressed by what he was seeing.

the bar was a haven of opulence and sophistication, where every detail reflected the exquisite taste of its patron. the walls were adorned with paintings by famous artists, the floor was covered with persian rugs, and the ceiling was illuminated by crystal chandeliers. the furniture made of leather, velvet, and mahogany gave it a nice touch.

"let's just have fun." jake said, sitting at one of the tables.

---

heeseung found himself taking his sixth shot, while jake was murmuring something next to him.

"i... i'm selling? no. i'm telling. i'm telling you, heeseung." jake stuttered. he laid his head on the table, still holding the shot glass in his right hand.

"telling me what?" heeseung asked, trying to regain his composure.

suddenly jake screamed, "she's a fucking psycho!"

heeseung rolled his eyes. "stop talking about girls when you're with meeee..." he cried.

jake stood up and then quickly sat back down when he realised that he didn't have any balance. "it's better if i sit here..." he muttered.

heeseung frowned, looking at jake. "hey, i'm sitting down... are you perhaps... copying me?"

jake smirked. "you're my role model."

heeseung blushed, giggling and looking away. "stop!"

jake cupped heeseung's cheek, turning the latter's face towards him. the move made heeseung almost completely sober up. jake's hand was soft, sending a familiar warmth through heeseung's body.

jake got closer, their faces inches apart. "... you're so beautiful," he said softly.

"you better not say that just because you're drunk."

jake shifted his gaze from heeseung's eyes to his lips. "i'm not... i miss you, heeseung."

the latter gulped. "i miss you too."

"and what's there to do about that?" jake asked, and heeseung thought that he melted right away, hearing jake's seductive tone.

heeseung leaned in, their noses touching. "let's go..." he breathed out.

they walked towards the car, heeseung leading the way.

after jake unlocked the car, heeseung opened the back door, forcefully pushing the other onto the backseat.

jake moaned as he fell onto the cushioned seats, his head already getting dizzy from the alcohol.

heeseung got inside, closing the door behind him and crawling on top of jake. he wasted no time in crashing their lips in a desperate kiss.

he realised how much he missed jake's lips on his, how much he loved them. heeseung wondered how could he resist the temptation of kissing them every time he saw jake in his office, in his extremly hot suit.

their lips moved in sync, tongues dancing and exploring each other. he could taste the alcohol on jake's tongue, adding a hint of sweetness.

jake pulled away, looking at heeseung. his eyes were red and teary.

"it's uncomfortable here." he whispered. "let's go to your place."

"you can't drive. we both drank." heeseung said sternly.

"shit." jake cursed under his breath. "you're such a mood killer."

"a wood killer?" heeseung asked offended.

"a mood killer, idiot." jake laughed, wrapping his arms around heeseung's neck and pulling him closer. heeseung couldn't resist and kissed him again.

jake opened his eyes for a second and quickly pulled away from heeseung as soon as he noticed a familiar face outside the window.

he pulled heeseung down so that sooha wouldn't see him.

"what are you doing?" heeseung asked bewildered.

"hiding you." jake whispered.

"from who?"

"from... someone."

heeseung rolled his eyes, looking up to jake. a smirk appeared on his face as soon as an idea popped in his head.

he extended his arms and started unbuttoning jake's shirt, his hands moving fast.

jake grabbed one of heeseung's hands, frowning. "hey!" he screamed.

"what?" heeseung asked as if he didn't know what was going on.

"not now, heeseung." jake said, looking anxiously at the window. "what is she doing here?" he asked quietly, without heeseung hearing him.

his eyes widened when he saw sooha approaching the car.

"stay here! ... and don't look out the window." he commanded before getting out of the car and locking the door behind him.

sooha noticed him and rushed towards jake. "why is your shirt unbuttoned?" she asked.

"um... this heatwave... is unbearable." he lied.

"aha..." sooha replied as if she was not convinced. "i didn't know i would bump into you here." she muttered.

jake just smiled. "me too-"

"i'm sorry about earlier!" sooha said, her eyes getting teary. "i should just accept the fact that you don't like me. but it's really hard for me, jaeyun. please understand me."

jake put his hand on her shoulder. "it's fine, sooha. you know i can't be mad at you for too long. by the way, why are you here?"

she pointed towards the entrance to the bar. "wonyong and minjeong wanted to hang out."

"oh, i see..."

"did you drink?" sooha asked.

"yeah... had a few shots of kamikaze."

"i can call my driver to get you home if you want." she suggested.

"that's a good idea. thanks." jake replied, watching sooha as she typed the driver's name.

sooha then left, jake waiting until she was out of sight before opening the door of his car. heeseung was laying on the floor, his eyes closed.

"did you fucking die?"

heeseung opened his eyes and smiled widely when he saw jake. "come here..." he extended his arms towards jake, inviting him to a hug.

"a driver is going to pick us up." jake explained, helping heeseung get up from the floor instead of accepting the hug.

heeseung nodded, stepping outside the car. "you're invited to my place."

jake grinned. "wanna eat ramyeon?"

heeseung just sighed and shook his head, looking at the car that was getting closer to them. "is that our car?"

"yes."
